Kerbear - I too find it difficult to talk about now. I just want to have normal conversations with people. Because they don't know what to say and invariably say the wrong thing! By keeping quiet I protect me and them. Besides the whole - I might jinx myself thing is in the back of my mind.

AFM - terribly yucky cramps tonight :( not like my body to do that to me, I've never had bad pain with AF - not really. Anyway, seems like the universe is spinning everything around for me - I'm just glad AF stayed on track this month and arrived when she was due rather than being really delayed. Am looking forward to getting cracking with the next cycle by the end of the week :) but in the meantime - I'm sore already!!

My turn - sucks af is giving you such awful cramps, this stuff seems to really mess with it. I was the opposite last month it was the only time I haven't had excoriating cramps during af since doing ivf. Our bodies really are a huge mystery to us, forever changing the goal posts on us. Hope it settles down soon for you xo

AFM- yesterday i had my scan and would like to welcome Fred to the party!!! Yep, Bob and Jim have some company!!! Lol! Jim stayed at 10mm, Bob grew from 7mm to 11mm and from out of nowhere Fred has appeared alongside Bob and is measuring at 8mm!!!! The Nurse was AMAZED and so happy!!!! Now we just have to hope like mad no other contenders come from outta the woodwork and that over the next 3 days Bob, Jim and Fred grow!!! Another scan on Friday and we go from there!!!

Afm - I will be starting gonalf injections and clomid tomorrow as bleeding appeared today so it has brought them forward, scan booked for Tuesday to see how many follicles we can make happen with these meds.

Thanks guys for the welcome and kind thoughts! I feel like I am finally physically back to "normal" although hcg still not quite zero (nearly 5 weeks after 2nd d&c!) so just waiting for that to bottom out, then the long wait for an AF. I've been told can take up to 12 weeks post d&c! Horrific. Hopefully will be shorter than that. I hate waiting!
Nire- congratulations!! Yay for the little heartbeat!
Jo -white- yay for Fred! Hope you don't get any more- cancelled cycles are SO frustrating! I had one once with 4 follies. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly!

So we have our appointments all day tommorow to see the nurse, counselor, admin and then fs in the afternoon! So big day I'm guessing full of info and questions!
I'm not even sure what I want to ask them all. I guess me and DH will have a talk tonight and work out any queries!
Any advice would be appreciated on what's good to ask at these meetings! So I guess we will then be ready to start ivf first thing next year.

Hi everyone else, sorry for no more persies, I've been off a few days and there is lots to catch up on. I've needed some time to think. DH tol me on the weekend he doesn't want me to do the FET cycle, he wants to wait six months or so. Not sure what to do. I've waited so long I don't want to keep waiting when we have an emby ready to transfer. Supposed to start BT this Friday. What would you do?

Juniper - Thanks for changing me out of the TWW! I'm day 1 today! And not feeling too bad. Had acupuncture today, and a pedicure and a hair trial for the wedding day. So I suppose spoiling myself helped ease the pain a bit. I won't be doing any a/c this month.

miloro, that's a tough situation. Did he say why? I'd, personally, want DH on board before proceeding, but my FS said that wasn't a requirement for doing the cycle (ie there was no consent form for DH to sign, so I could do the cycle without his involvement/consent).
Afm, had my consult with the surgeon this morning. Bl**dy DH stuffed about so we were late as usual and then yelled at me because he doesn't like being late. Go figure. :rolleyes: I had to have more x-rays to check for fractures higher up the leg and also get some images while putting weight on my foot (ouch!!). That wasn't pleasant and I stayed true to form and puked... I was already queasy after talking to the Dr, so it was almost inevitable... Thank goodness I had skipped breakfast! The good news is the new set of x-rays showed no problems (the first set had hinted at a possible issue which had been missed by the radiologist, but the new ones showed it was fine). So, officially a high grade sprain with a 6 week to 3 month recovery. If it hasn't improved by the 3 month mark, I have to go back for a MRI and he may do surgery at that time. Since that coincides with when we may want to do IVF, he said if it hadn't improved to go back for the MRI before starting IVF (because it's contraindicated for the 1st tri). This sort of maybe leaves me in a 3 month limbo...
And, if that wasn't enough excitement, I got a +opk this afternoon! Anyone know if x-rays are safe for eggs? I'm guessing "yes" since they routinely do HSGs during TTC cycles? I figure if the egg was damaged it would just mean a BFN anyway...

Miliro I am feeling much better today thanks for asking. Had a huge cry yesterday and got it out of my system.
If I was in your situation I would talk to dh more if you want to do the transfer and he doesn't to find out why he may want the break, my dh wanted us to do a cycle before his op in August which I wasn't expecting and we had to discuss it and decide together as I needed to be ready for it, maybe your dh doesn't feel up to another cycle yet cause they go through it with us and it takes a toll on both of you....just a thought I could be wrong xo
Nic - I found my questions came when I was processing what I was being told by my fs, we went to a seminar our fertility centre held that gave us heaps of info before we actually saw a fs, I found this helped to know what they were talking about before we went there. The only advice I have is if you don't understand what they are talking about ask them to explain it more so you can walk away less confused. It is a lot to take in when you first do it but after the first few I know find it much easier to know what I am doing. Good luck and ask us anything, I was always taught no question is a silly question ;-)

I'm sorry to hear that your DH wants to wait - if it was me in that position my relationship would have to come first but I would want a pretty good reason for waiting...

Lyra - AF arrived 6 weeks 2 days after d&c for me - lots of others on BB told me theirs arrived about 5 weeks ish, so hopefully it's not too far away for you!! in the meantime look after yourself :hug:
Nic - good luck tomorrow with all the appointments - it's a bit overwhelming the first time, but if you don't ask questions it's okay, there's plenty of chances once the cycle starts. I found it helpful to just go with the flow and trust that they knew what they were doing ;) Woo hoo for weight loss...!! (wish some of that would rub off on me!!)
Miloro - thanks sweet pea. I'd try and find out from DH why he wants to wait, as the reason would change how I deal with it. The FET is WAYYYYYYYY more relaxing and calm and you barely do anything, just keep monitoring you until you are ovulation and then bam, stick the embie in.... he might be worried about all the hormones, or the money, or something else all together. Until you know, you can't deal with it. See what he says about that and then you can tackle how you feel about it, and whether you want/need/can convince him otherwise ;)
me4ever - glad you had a nice day today. I think spending some time to enjoy the wedding preparations and all that is a good idea. it will only happen once, and it is such a lovely time. So enjoy it! xoxo

AFM...... cramping is better today and I am feeling okay. A little cry last night when I pulled out my 'IVF Journey' journal and read some of the entries from earlier in the year... remembering the joy of finding out I was pregnant, and the deep despair when blob was gone :(
But I am okay today, a nice new cooler bag with my meds - much better than the previous MIVF bag, and somehow the cool new bag made my :lol:
I had a pretty good food day to, without too much trouble - AND I didn't find an excuse (although I can tell you I looked long and hard for one!!) to avoid PT this afternoon.....
So tomorrow I start Clomid - 2 tablets a day for 5 days, and the Puregon 275 once a day until my first scan on Tuesday (same as you Ker!)
I'm glad things are happening, although, not convinced it will be a BFP, I'm okay with that, and will be happy to get a couple of frosties out of it if we can :crossfingers:
so sleep tight everyone - remember that there is no reason that the cycle you are in cannot be 'the one', I hope there are some BFP's coming our way soon xox

Repeat BT today showed it had gone up again....

AFM - CD19 today, feeling anxious about the appointment with the new FS in December, it just feels like time passes by and all of a sudden its been 2 years :( Also have been feeling my tummy in the last few days and it feels wierd, maybe its my brain playing tricks but I am sure there is some bits that feel hard which I have not noticed before. I have started using the new thermometer and though it was not started on CD1 I figured I may as well start getting into the habit. I think we missed O day as we were both un well last week so was a bit bummed, though saying that if I did O then, we DTD 2 days before so well you never know. Not that I am convinced I can conceive as I have never in my life had a BFP :shakehead: Oh my, I just realised this turned into a little bit of a vent. I must have needed it I guess x

I already know that we will be doing a. Antagonist cycle when we do start.
As for AF showing her face, I'm not sure now. One show then gone again. Maybe it will be full on tomorrow and shows her face properly! Who friggen knows!
Thanks for the advice ladies. You all said what I was thinking. A friend advise me to just do it without telling him which sat badly for me. The reason he is saying to delay is coz I have just been offered a promotion. He has just started a new job too, which he already hates. We have the mobey saved for two FET cycles. But I think he wants to spend it on rubbish. We already delayed ttc for my career for two years, add on the two plus years of ttc...I don't want to keep putting off a family for work. At least he has given up smoking, a month with no cigarettes! I'll try talking to him again today. Wish me luck.

Moloro - that's fantastic news on your dh not smoking for a month. Fx he sticks to it. Hope he listens to your reasoning for wanting not to wait. My dh did quit for about a month after the dr at fs told him too but now we have 7 frozen embryos he believes his job is over so has now said he promises to quit the day I say I'm pregnant. What if that day never comes?
Jo white - I live that you have named you follicles. That's awesome news Fred has appeared.
Juniper - great news no surgery for now. Hope that sprain sorts itself out for you ASAP.
Emma - sorry to hear your your progesterone level has risen when it shouldn't. Sorry I can't help you as to why. Hopefully someone here has had similar situation & can help you.

Forgot to ask- those who have been on progynova have you had white discharge after a few days of use? Only noticed it last night after 5 days of taking 3 tablets of 2mg a day. I haven't noticed anything else.

Afm- on a drug run into the city to hand over $2500 for my first lot of extra drugs :( As I said in my last post, it's all systems go from today. I am on 450 of puregon and I have a scan next Friday morning. I will also have an infusion of intralipid that morning. I am so, so tired. Last night I could barely keep my eyes open. I think it's the synarel.

Called DH today. Told him I needed to know whether to cancel the cycle coz supposed to be starting BT tomorrow. He said "nah, we should do this cycle coz we have to have a break over Christmas if it doesn't work". Seriously, his mood changes faster than mine when I pms. Next time he decides to be difficult I might just ignore him and wait it out...

I had the hcg inj this time at transfer so we will see if that made a difference not feeling anything at the moment.. I also have done ontralipids for past 4 cycles take a good book it takes hours x

Yeah, I was told it takes at least two hours for the infusion. I also have a BT and scan but they are an hour and half before so ill be there for hours!
Gave myself my first three jabs and started my steroid tabs tonight. It's game on!
