Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception Nov - Dec 2013

Williever, hmmm, I get what you're saying. Like will it synch with where you are at in your cycle? I wonder what they'll do. I am sure they ("they" - the powers that be! the IVF people!) have done this sort of thing a million times before so they must have a plan. I always think about that synching issue though. Because with Melbourne IVF, they put a day 2 embryo in the womb, whereas naturally it would still be in the fallopian tube at that time. Anyway, that is a separate issue. Sorry to distract. Keeping fingers crossed and let us know what happens.

MissB, that sounds tough. Family dynamics can really suck. Is this SIL good for your brother? It must be a very sad time for him, and you. I get frustrated with the way information moves through families, and some people know things and others don't, like they're trying to protect you, but it can wind up making you feel humiliated on top of everything else, because people are all sorry for you. Maybe that's not what you're feeling, but that would be mega-tough seeing her in person, and her covering up her tummy. Just hearing that makes me retch!

AFM, back back with a bit of a vengeance and some restless nights/grumpiness. Yay, Christmas spirit! Still made it to the zoo today to see the baby elephant (you know, another baby just died, so it was very sad too).

    All the best,
    WW

Glorious he hit the mark and you get your bfp xxx

where ever you are in your cycle sending you all loads and loads of praying you all get bfp you all deserve them xxx

afm: bfn this morning so guess I'm just waiting for af now, to be honest I really don't deserve a bfp at the moment. I have had a few m/c but my last
has hit me quite badly and I have been drinking too much alcohol and eating too much junk and put on 6 kilos so I am now trying to regroup
and have started eating sensibly and not drinking and started taking fresh royal jelly as well as everything else I take so hopefully in the new year things
    will start to happen xxx

    Hi Ladies,

Sorry I have again been MIA this time of year is just a bit crazy which i guess is good cause it's distracting me from reality

Miss B & Rai so sorry you both got BFN that just sucks

To all the lovely ladies in the TWW GL I am thinking of you all and sending loads of love and babydust

AFM - Had an appt with the FS yesterday we can do a FET cycle as of early Feb 2014, have to take a 2 month break before we can start which makes perfect sense. Apparently my Estrogen levels were a bit low during the IVF cycle and he wants to see that higher so will be changing drug protocol for next one and doing a few other tweeks......saying that i hope the FET cycle works and we don't need to do another IVF cycle. So I am taking a nice long break then going to try to be a good girl and not go over board with eating & drinking this silly season but that is always easier said than done! Another Xmas function this evening this is the 4th now so I am a bit over it.....i must be getting old! lol

Take care Ladies, love & babdy dust to you all x

Rai, don't be so hard on yourself. It is so gruelling, the whole process. It is natural to do a bit of comfort-eating/drinking now and then. Glad to hear you are making a fresh start with diet and so forth. You need a free pass for Christmas though - it is a nightmare trying to eat well on that day. Where do you get your fresh royal jelly? Are you in QLD? I am in Melbourne and I have the capsules but never sure if I should take them, because they are a bit estrogen-promoting, I think and I have endo.

Positively, that's great about your plan. It is nice to have a clear plan before the holidays start. A rest for your body will be really good too, I reckon.

    Good luck ladies in 2WW.

AFM, had my EPU this morning. Really way more sore and more blood loss than previously. A bit concerning, but I think it's all normal. We got 5 eggs, which is great for us. I know that this number doesn't translate into embies, but please everyone keep your fingers crossed! There will be no transfer til April or May after my lap (planned for late Feb). Just waiting to hear from the lab ....

    Thanks Rai!

Well ...drum roll (not really) ... we got 4 embryos, 3 of which were grade 2 and one was grade 1. Very happy. Thanks guys - I am sure we got some luck from you guys. Who knows what will happen after the lap but we gave it our best shot. A friend of mine says "Anything can happen at any time" which also includes unwanted stuff, but I really like this motto for staying in the present as much as we can.

    Good luck to all,

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception Nov - Dec 2013

    Hi everyone
I hope I am posting in the right thread.
I'm a bit worried at the moment and need some hope
To give you a quick rundown of my history- I just had my 9th & 10th embryos transferred 2 weeks ago tomorrow. (First double transfer). I got a positive hpt from last Sunday (8dp3dt) pretty light but did get darker as days went on. I always used FMU or late at night after holding on.
So I've been having symptoms this week- sore boobs & slight nausea all day.
Today was my beta. 13dp3dt, so was a day early. It was only 44. My progesterone was 176.
The nurse said it is low, but may be ok.
I did just do a hpt (as I haven't tested in about 3 days) and it was lighter. It was afternoon urine and had been about an hour or so before. There is def a line there, but no where near the darkness I would've expected.
So I'm thinking if I tested + last Sunday I should've had a descent hcg by now?
I go back to have another test Monday but I am so so worried.
    Thanks for listening!
    K

kmjl, it's hard to know what's happening until you have a repeat b/t. It could just be a slow starter, but if your tests are getting lighter, it could be that your numbers are dropping and it's an early m/c. I hope that's not the case - I just went through that myself earlier this month and it sucks...

Thanks Juniper. I hope not too.
I also thought maybe they both implanted initially but now maybe just the one? Oh I don't know. Trying to think of anything really.
Hope you are feeling ok after your loss- I am all too familiar with it - I had a really positive outlook going into this one and now I feel so so negative!
    This IVF business is tough!
    Thanks
