Hi all,
Congrats Vic, wishing you all the best in your pg.
Well, I'm going to have to bow out of this thread for now. Our finances have taken a massive nose dive (won't go into details) and now it looks like we have to back out of our tatts business and potentially lose the 30K deposit in the process. We will not be buying a house anytime soon and IVF is now on the back burner indefinitely. I am absolutely heartbroken to say the least. Lately it's been hard for me to follow your journeys in here as I so wish I could be doing a cycle too, but it's not possible. I wish you all the very best in your journeys ladies, I hope they bring you what you wish for.
B xxx
Vic, honey, !!!!!!!!!!
Well done and Congratulations!!!!!!
(Happy dancing in the lounge room like a tool )x
So so happy for you x
Miss.B I'm so sorry you are having some tough times, I'm wishing you all the best that your situation finds a way of turning itself around and you have a happy future ahead of you.
You will be greatly missed in here you have contributed a lot and have given so much support to every single girl past and present in this group and I hope that in any way we can return the gratitude and that you find yourself back in here real soon xxxxx
I'm so sorry Miss B :(
It's just not fair that finances should be a factor. It is sooo expensive, it's ridiculous.
Can you possibly look into cheaper options? Like clomid? Or even just take DHEA? I have read about a lot of natural successes on DHEA.
You'll always be a part of this thread, no matter where you are in your journey.
Take care xxx
Sneaking again....
Miss B. You have experienced more than one person should ever have to in one year. I admire your courage. Stay strong. Your time for the planets to align will come
Vic congratulations, hope this one is nice and sticky and you have a beautiful bubba in 8mths xo
Missb - I am so sorry you won't be here for a while, you have been a wonderful support to me through my journey so far and you will be very missed. I hope your finances sort themselves out and you are ok through this rough time. I am always here if you ever want to pm me and vent xo
Afm - I am about to scream.....I have lost my testosterone script which also has all my protocol with it. I had it sat and now have turned the house and cats upside down trying yo find it. I now have to somehow find time to go and get another one from FS and then order it and start it on day 8 and i have the busiest week :-(
Can you get it faxed Kerbear (either to you or pharmacy)? I have had it done before.
oh Miss B, I am so sorry too!!!! just not fair at all.... :( I second N2L's suggestions... but I think I recall that in your case it's DH whose had a vasectomy?? in which case Clomid probably aint gunna cut it, right? :( ..... who was it in here who said they were at a clinic in dandenong that bulk bills everything... maybe that's an option??? You will always be special lovely lady, and can be here, or not... whenever you please.... xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox :grouphug:
Vic, you know my joy for your good news is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ginormous....!! (is that even how you spell it...?) :leap: Juniper will be happy to have a BFP to put on the list :)
all you lovely stalkers back in here to say congrats makes me smile... while I am more than happy for you.... I miss you all.....
Oh I am sorry Miss B, I forgot about your DH
Eta - there is a fertility centre in Dandenong which has been set up as a low cost clinic which bulk bills a lot of procedures within a cycle to cut costs.
Google fertility centre Dandenong and check them out.
Miss B- I hope you read this... I would pm but I don't have enough posts up yet... I am getting treatment at a fertility centre in Dandenong that BULK BILLS NEARLY ALL COSTS... A cycle of IVF costs $1689 to $2400 I think, which is a lot cheaper than other places... If you want, feel free to email me at my forum name at hotmail! Money was a MAJOR factor for DH and I waiting so long to continue our TTC journey and this centre has been a god send!!!
Xxx
Wow so many threads since last night.
Firstly a huge congratulations Vic - what wonderful news. I hope you have a happy health 9 months ahead.
Miss B - so sorry to hear about your troubles. Life just isn't fair. Hopefully things will turn around for you very soon.
Thanks for the info on natural fets. It looks like I have to take the trigger shot but not the progesterone.
Vic- I'm ecstatic! Congrats on your BFP! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months! Yay for another BFP in October!
MissB - I'm so sorry you will have to postpone the TTC till further notice :( Here is hoping that somehow all will be right and you can get back into it. Sending you lots of hugs.
AFM will have to go for another blood test again tomorrow, so no sleeping in :( Oh well. Apparently I'll probably have to go on Thursday as well, we'll see, I suppose depending on the hormone levels. Can't wait for the transfer, it's not too far off now. (6 days after trigger injection...)
Huge congrats Vic. Good job! Hope that it's a sticky little one. Fingers crossed. Nothing beats hearing a success story for someone who has been trying so hard!
Afm I'm just waiting patiently( or maybe not so patiently) for our appointment on 22nd nov. and I'm currently CD 50!
Yep 50. That's how screwed up my cycle is. The joys of PCOS I guess. Plus hubby has swimmers that go in the wrong direction so to speak. A good amount but only 4% are viable so we have nothing in our favour at this stage!
Another sneaky but massive CONGRATS Vic - so so so thrilled for you hun xxx
Thanks n2l that was going to be my first option today if I could do it but don't need to cause I found them in my bin, was the only place I didn't look and what do ya know they were there. Maybe I was trying to tell myself something lol!!!!
*tiptoe in....*
Congrats Vic! I stalk you all all the time. I'm so happy for you, you are so due for your happy ending!
sprinkling a little :pink-babydust::bluedust: before I leave and ...
*tiptoe out!*
miss b - im sorry you are having to wait again... must be so frustrating, especially since you have been patiently waiting for a couple of months (longer?) already. i really wish ivf wasnt so outrageously expensive. i hope you can sort things out with your business, would be a shame to lose it after all the training and organising. xx
me4ever - hope your BT goes well today & you can transfer soon.
kerbear - i definately have days where i want to throw all my ivf papers in the bin... glad you found them. ;)
juniper - af arrived saturday so i am cd 5 today, if you could pls change me on your list (doing pgd cycle this month). thankyou. and thankyou for keeping the list so well, there are so many ladies in here atm, i dont know how you keep up. :)
hi everyone else.
afm - had consult with a different clinic earlier this week, went well but i must admit i didnt really find anything out that i hadnt researched myself, or learnt from bb... but it was useful to have the FS confirm the information! he also bought up donor eggs, given the amount of transfers i have done to date. eeek. hadnt even thought about donor eggs to be honest. also queried why i was doing pgd this cycle... not sure that he's a fan, but i explained that we are just information gathering as we are unexplained. got the feeling he didnt think it was worth it. anyway, i would feel confident switching that we would get a more aggressive immune protocol (most of what n2l has discussed previously), which is what im after if this cycle doesnt work out. lets hope i dont need to worry about it, but realistically i am prepared for it anyway. ;)
Is that dr NL Andie?
the one and only. ;)
Hi ladies,
Thanks so much ladies, your messages have really touched me, I had a tear in my eye reading them all. I really appreciate it :grouphug:
Yeah n2l, DH's swimmers are stuck 'up there' and not coming down, IVF with testicular biopsy is the only way for us.
Jo, thanks so much for that info on the fertility clinic in Dandenong. We normally pay around $4500 (this time we got quoted $5200 as it was a new protocol cycle) through Monash IVF, it's such a difference in price! I just don't think we should be attempting a cycle right now purely based on the massive stress levels we both have. It just wouldn't work I don't think. My parents have offered to lend us the money but I think we better wait a while till we're both feeling less stressed.
I just wanted to add that I know some of you are doing your last stim cycles, and I really hope and pray that they are successful for you. We are getting to the end of our TTC journey too, and it's a lot to digest and accept. So all the best to you.
Also, I wanted to say that for those who are trying for their first child, I really hope that you'll get your little miracle soon too. We have been blessed with one here on earth, and I thank God for him everyday, he truly is a blessing and I hope that you'll get to experience that too.
Lots of love
B xxx
Nic77 - those results for your hubby look all to familar sadly.my hubby's results have varied first was 0% normal forms 2nd test was 4% normal forns and most recent has dropped back to 1% sadly.and i have pcos so its very very hard to get pregnant.hubby is on clomid atm and will repeat the test again in a couple of months.hopefully the clomid helps him.
Miss b- gd luck and i hope your finances turn around soon.
Vic- congratuations very happy for you!
Miss B, you are more than welcome! I understand the stress factor too... When you feel you are ready, email the clinic and set up an appointment, they will usually have you in within a week for it! The clinic is associated with the women's hospital so thats where your procedures would probably be done... I really hope everything works out for you and just sorts its self out! I'll keep you in my thoughts!!!
xxx
Thanks wishanddream and Jo
Hi all!!! I was just wondering if it is normal to get a really sore back when taking fertility meds??? My back has been so sore for the last 2 days, and I have not been sleeping very much at all- like 4 hrs a night... I am super stressed at the moment though, I have a uni exam tomorrow and even though I have been studying I feel totally unprepared... I thought that could be why I have not been feeling right, but I don't really know... :(
Oh well, at least I have Friday to look forward too... Next ultrasound appointment at 08:30 Friday morning and hopefully my follicles have increased in size and I have at least 2 good ones... Can't have more than 3 though or they are gonna cancel the cycle... I really don't want that!!!
