    Hi all you lovely ladies

Hope you don't mind if I post here - have been posting in the 2WW thread, but am out of the running now.

Meg76 - sending you big hugs, that news must've been a kick in the guts. My heart ached when I read your posts (both here and 2WW). As Rob mentioned, can you talk to your FS directly, and ask the question again? Find out if there are any exceptions to the rule?

On tra_k - hope the egg transfer goes/went well today. Your post made me laugh, about your body being good at QA

MHIC - good luck for your transfer! Don't know too much about IVF (yet), but sounds like your embies are coming along nicely?

GOOD LUCK for everyone who is progressing through their treatments / cycles too - still trying to catch up on where everyone is at.

AFM - quick info on where we're at, then a TMI question about Puregon. DH & I have just had a cancelled IUI cycle due to him having to go overseas 3 days before O was due (we hadn't frozen any as it was all last-minute). This time we're more prepared for his next trip away, next week. Starting injections on Monday, and he's booked in for Thursday at the lab! He doesn't know it yet... will tell him when he gets back tomorrow

My TMI question, if anyone can help me - I'd done 12 days of Puregon injections, and started cramping about 2 days after 0, cramping continued for rest of cycle (which was 1 week longer than usual). AF turned up on Thursday, and started off light, but OH MY GOD its horrendous now! Worse than I've ever had. Lots of ***TMI*** clots So sorry for the absolutely gross detail, but I'm slightly concerned. Is this from the Puregon? Has anyone else experienced this? I have PCOS, endo, ANA, APA, and some other stuff, dunno if thats got anything to do with it. All help gratefully received!

Sorry for the long post, hope you're all having a good weekend.

    Cheers,
    Leabie.

Butterfly83, hi and welcome. I'm another Jan 07 TTC'er and plan to start IVF#4 at the end of this month... GL for your cycle!

Leabie, sorry to hear you're getting the AF from hell. I had one of those last week and they're not fun at all. I think mine was because my hormones were all screwed up after the chem pg the cycle before. I also had an AF like that after my first Clomid cycle and after one of the IVF's (can't remember which one). I've only ever had an AF like that after some sort of "eventful" cycle, not a normal cycle, so I guess it could be due to the injections. Although, I suspect it's not directly due to the injections - I think it's more likely the injections caused a change in your hormones that in turn caused the AF from hell. But that's purely speculation based on my own experiences. If someone with more scientific knowledge tells you otherwise, I'd assume they were correct rather than me.

    Hi Girls,
Sorry I can't manage any persies at the moment.
As expected, AF arrived today and BT was negative. No surprises there.
AS I mentioned in the 2WW, I had an awful time waiting for the BT this morning. A couple was there showing off their baby. Normally I could cope ok, but not today. I walked in the room with the nurse and burst into tears. She was lovely. Gave me a hug and all.

I'm going to jump into a secret FET (last embryo). I say secret because DH and I have decided we are telling nobody about it. Hopefully to reduce the pressure when it fails.

Anyway, hopefully you are all well and will try and catch up soon.

Ladies thank you for all your wishes. I've posted in 2ww but wanted to say good luck to all those who have upcoming bts and cycles. I'm not out of the woods (getting another bt done for peace of mind to hopefully see hcg rise rapidly, not like last time).

will keep an eye on things in here and to all those who are new....this site is amazing and the women on it even more so. x

    Hi Girls

Well it's been a few weeks since I've posted, so I have a lot to catch up on. I've had a rather busy and emotional time of things lately, which is not even related to TTC. My grandmother died last week, so flew interstate to be with my family for the funeral. It had been a long time coming but was still really hard to deal with emotionally when it actually happened. In the midst of all of that, the house that DH and I have been building was finished, so I've been madly trying to organise the move, which will be next week.

Now onto all things TTC... I did a FET this cycle, but it was medicated with Gonal-f, so FS had control over my ovulation. Funnily enough, I responded really well (was only Gonal-f 75 IU), but I ended up with 5-10 follicles (probably only about 4 of those ended up being mature by the time of ovulation though). What's weird is that we didn't even care about the follicles though, as that's not what we were focused on. So they triggered me and when I ovulated, DH and me DTD anyway (just to give ourselves the best chance of falling pregnant).

Then today we had embryo transfer and I had 2 x day 5 blasties put back, which the embryologist said had thawed beautifully. Also did acupuncture before and after transfer for good measure. The way I see it, I have now done absolutely everything I can possibly do to give myself the best chance of falling pregnant. Now it's up to the gods (and believe me, I'll be doing a whole lot of praying).

Sorry for the long post so far, but also wanted to try a few personals (sorry if I miss people but it's been a while since I've been on, so not 100% sure where everyone's at).

Congratulations to Coral, Airline and LondonMiss for their recent BFPs. I hope everything goes well for you all.

Big hugs to StarBright, Meg and Paula for your BFNs. It is absolutely crushing to get that news, but I hope you are all able to find comfort from all the girls surrounding you on BB with their support.

MHIC - I think you are scheduled for your ET tomorrow, so I have my fingers crossed for you that the PGD and ET goes well.

Emerald Star - hey chicky how are you? It's been a while. I hope your FS appointment (next week I think??) goes well and that AF turns up soon so you can start your next cycle. Fingers crossed for lucky number 3. Oh, and please add me to your 'list' of people awaiting results (at this stage my BT is due Monday 16th Nov).

Nix - hi to you too. I'm also hoping for lucky number 3 for you. Good luck with the cycle (that synarel is awful isn't it?).

Hi to all the familiar names - Loops, Juniper, Mrs P. Here's hoping we're not in here for much longer girls.

And hi to all those I don't know so well yet - Terry, Rob, on tra_k, Butterfly83, Leabie and Baby2Bee. I hope your stay here is a short one. I truly hope I haven't missed anyone, but I sincerely apologise if I have.

Well I think this post is way long enough by now. Sorry if I've taken up so much of your time reading this, but there was just so much to catch up on. Will try and stay more up-to-date from now on.

    Wishes xoxo

From what i can see you all provide amazing support for each other and i hope that i can be a part of this too! Good luck everyone
Hi Butterfly We are all pretty amazing, lol, if I may say so myself. And we our best to support each other. So welcome to the group and if you have any questions etc ask away.

    True, but I love it!

nicoled, I suggest ringing your clinic if you want an update. I'm sure you wouldn't be the first woman to call anxiously seeking news of your embies! I was given a number to call the scientists for one of my cycles, so, if they won't/can't give you an update, I suggest asking if you can speak to one of the scientists. Nothing better than getting the news straight from the experts!

    wishes,

Star-bright, I have another friend who did that (she didn't even tell her online friends) and she got a BFP! I hope your cycle goes the same way!

airline, KUP on how you go with the second beta!

    Hi Nicoled

An answer for you, with your phone call, at our EPU the embriologist let us know that we would get a call the day following EPU and then on day 5 after the EPU but then also proceeded to ask us if we wanted a call on day 3. Obvioulsy it was an option for us. Were with SIVF here in Sydney!!!

That said though, I also agree with Juniper, i would give them a call!!

    Post No ET today!!!

    Morning all,

Well had my Day 5 update from the Embryologist at SIVF. She let me know that they have had a look this morning and 3 of the guys are starting to form/enter the blatocyst stage however, they dont expect them to reach that stage until tomorrow morning. She also said that they like them to be hatching and bursting out before they do the biopsy. I suppose this is a good thing doing it that way.

So, that means another day of waiting. Frustrating. I need to have hope though that these guys will make it. The embryologist let me know also that they will check in on them again this afternoon and should anything have changed, will call and let me know.

that all goes well and that if its meant to be it WILL be.

So that means were now waiting till tomorrow. ET will hopefully be tomorrow!!!

Hi girls, hope you're having a good Sunday!

Just spent 15 minutes typing, then lost it

Juniper76 - thanks for your post. Think you're right - the hormones just send everything a bit crazy. Things ok now, will mention it to the nurse tomorrow in passing, but not panicked now! Thanks!

Star-bright - so sorry for the AF, and what you had to go through in the waiting room for your BT. Some people just don't think their actions through completely, do they? Found out a friend is UTD, after another friend (who knows what we're going through) blurted it out in front of me, had to run to the loo and I think thats a GREAT idea doing the secret cycle, just don't say "when it fails", say IF!!

Airline - GL for your follow-up BT

Wishes, nicoled, MHIC - for sticky embies!!!

MHIC - sorry you have to wait another day I sometimes think a good slogan for a T-shirt or poster would be - "Time going too quickly? Life rushing by? Then why not try FERTILITY TREATMENT? Minutes will seem like hours, hours like days, days like weeks..."

Time IS actually going too quickly for me today - DH just called, he's flying in at 4pm this arvo, after being away for 3 weeks. Naturally, I have left all the housework til the last minute... Better fly!

Hi and good luck to everyone I've missed, hope all is going well.

Hey guys, hope it's not too hot for you. We have rev cycle air con this yera so its just nice here lol. Poor cows, I must have brain drain, asked DH today if their milk can curdle lol.

Loops, just where is AF when you want her?

Motherhood was your et today or tomorrow hun? Lots of for those little ones.

Star Bright sorry for your results, it will get better. Damn AF

Wishes Lots of for those little ones.

Sorry if I have missed anyone.

AFM: We also kept this cycle to ourselves, just you guys know lol. But we had such a horrific time after the last FET when nothing thawed I couldn't cope going through it again and having to go over it again and again.

Poor DH, heat has really got to him. He said today that no more IVF if none thaw again. I told him no we would change clinics, cause I do agree with him that its bizaar that none out of 8 AA grade embies wouldn't have thawed. It was bad enough when they said 80% thaw and we had 5 last time and none did he was devistated, but if these 3 don't thaw I am gonna need a shrink big time. I know people who thawed one and they got pg. And then he was going through the conspiracy theory, maybe it's cause we already have kids, maybe they don't try as hard, maybe cause we got money they don't try as hard, so we keep going back, far out I am running out of answers if that were ver possible lol.

And to top that off I am so frustrated. Had BT Friday, they didn't call me. Drove 2 hours to city yesterday to be there at 730am, because had they actually rang Friday I may not have evene needed to go, nurse says they will ring me in the afternoon, lucky i didn't hold my breath. So I am now assuming I need to have one again tomorrow, I have bruises like golf balls cause they couldn't get the blood, and I am over it. I know its just so they can set dates etc for ET but geez I hate when they say they gonna ring, and u wait and wait and nothing happens.

Sorry girls, very long hot day.
