Hi Ladies, thank you so much for your responses really appreciate it

You see up until watching that dodo I mentioned last week i assumed every follicle contained an egg so my question was just curiosity abou how many follies versus eggs to I could get a picture of how that pans out for most people

Thanks for the heads up on rather wanting quality than quantity at least when they say i have a low number of follies i won't get too hung up on that and will just wait for the collection process

So interesting to see how many eggs are unsuitable for freezing, another thing i didn't know......i clearly have alot to learn THANK GOODNESS I have all of you to ask!

PosTTC...my first cycle I had 13 follies, collected 9 eggs, 8 fertilised & 6 were viable for testing (pgd). My 2nd cycle had 11 follies, 9 eggs collected, 7 fertilised & 5 were viable for testing. This cycle only 3-4 follies with epu due tomorrow. Definitely going for quality this time but would certainly have preferred a few more to start with. Each cycle has been completely different in terms of drugs/regime. Remember also that we all respond differently to all this. Keep the questions coming...only way I have learnt most of what I know

Thanks for the list (as always) Juniper Think I ovulated sometime in the past/or in the next 12 hours (blood tinged ewcm last night). Can I be changed to 1dpo tomorrow please. Last chance to catch the egg before my surgery on the 19th (yeah, right )

Lol. No. I don't think they have.

I started this when I was 35. I'm now 42. On paper, there is no reason that one of the 84 or so eggs I have released within that time would have been a good one. Not to mention the 15 rounds of Assisted Conception that should have helped me along. Time to face facts, I am barren.

    Lots of hugs n2l!

Managed to get 2 little eggies this morning. Definitely gone for quality over quantity this time! Wonder if that is the effect of the dhea? Both were mature so will have to wait til tomorrow to see if they have both fertilised.

I hate that word - "barren" - it harks back to a time when women were valued only for their ability to produce offspring, a time when men were allowed to cast a wife aside purely due to "her" infertility (and, of course, the men were never the cause of the problem). We are so much more than that, we have such value beyond our ability (or inability) to conceive...

    [/end soapbox rant]

ps. And I stand by my claim that stranger things have happened... xx

Oh dear n2l xoxox I know we all sympathise with how you feel, I was driving home after my epu today stiff n sorry for myself fininding I was looking at other women from the car thinking I bet they have great fertile repo systems!! And feeling quite jelous/sad! Ugh! Ad I'm not normally jealous lol.

Joe I have all my fingers and toes crossed for your 2 eggies!
Can you believe after thinking I had 11 follies the other day they were all blank bar 3!!!
Same stims as my first stim last year where I got 10 follies with only 8 eggs! And after being on coq10 for three months n sharkeys herbs.
They told me to take 350 gonal f... And we'll I did 362.50 lol...
Maybe lucky I did or I'd of got less lol.

Very mixed right now thinking I've wasted all this year waiting for this private health to kick in and all this blood sweat tears n money for nothing... I keep trying to tell my self I only need 1 golden egg right!?

Aw joe we need big hugs xoxox

Good luck girls and good luck kel for transfer tomoz thinking of you xxxx
