I have posted here previously and I am now in a different situation and not sure where to post.

If anyone could direct me, I would be very grateful

I found this forum very comforting and am now seeking new advice.

The last time I was here I was about to find out if IUI # 2 took. Well.....just like I expected, I got the dreaded I was extremely miserable and just couldn't take another knock back so I had a laparoscopy on Friday. No endo but apparently I have a very small cervix and it could have been contributing to the problem. I also had my tubes fixed a little. Doc now says to attempt on our own OR try IVF. The decision is ours. We have been TTC for over two years so maybe IVF is the best option??

Has anyone else had similar results after a lap? Has anyone conceived easily after a lap? How soon after a lap should we try?? I have heard so many great success stories about conception after a lap but I don't want to get ahead of myself.

Sorry to bombard everyone. I am so confused

I have also been bleeding since Friday. Is this normal after a lap? I am now also suffering bad cramping. Does this mean my period is coming?

Any advice anyone has would be a great help.

I wish everyone lotsa luck with their journies also

    hi ladies,

just an update from me, had a BT and scan this morning (day 11), we just have 3 eggs, 2 of them are 2cm. apparently my dosage is a bit too low, but the embryologist said even with that we may have a chance, so we may be go ahead with triggers tonight and epu on friday. still waiting for the clinic to confirm today

talk about being moody with all these ttc-ing, i also had the 'big bleed' today for fertilization, right after the scan. the nurse was having difficulty finding my vein, and when she finally found it the blood didn't flow and she wiggled the needle, it was painful and left me teary. i was embarassed crying over such small thing but i just couldn't help it and feeling sorry for myself having to go through it all. luckily two other nurses stepped in and they were wonderful! - bless them - they asked me to lie down, held my hand and talked to me when one of them finally did the blood smoothly.

it's not an easy ride, hey....

    Hi Shellbee..
I don't know about conceiving after a lap but I had my lap done 2 weeks ago and while I didn't bleed heavily for more than a day, I did have continual light tingeing for a few more days after that. I am still having light cramping even now. I saw my FS today and he is going to put me on an ovulation stimulation drug for a few months before trying IVF.. Just to give me a little helping hand.. Goodluck with it all and I think this thread will look after all your questions.. Who better to give advice on IVF than the lovely ladies in here going through it all..

Curlygirl - On my 2nd cycle, I had only 3 eggs (from scan) and we went to EPU, 3 were retrieved and all 3 fertilised. Two were then transfered, but unfortunately for us we got a BFN. Have you heard back from the clinic yet? Hope that you have recovered from your awful bleed experience and you are right, it is certainly not an easy ride. But hang on in girl, your BFP I am sure is just around the corner.

Shelbee - sorry but I have never had a lap done, but just wanted to say welcome and wish you all the very best in your TTC journey.

JBM - fingers crossed so tightly for third time lucky.

Well had better do some more work.

    Until later

Hi wouldloveabubba - just saw your question. My DH asked the same thing. Our FS/Clinic told us to abstain 3 days before EPU (in case of multiple little ones plus infection) and then 4 days after ET/FET (I am sure just due to infection also). Hope that this helps.

hi everyone, just popping in from a little thread we had going for first IVF cyclers ...

I'm on my first cycle with EPU on Friday. Last week after my first scan, we thought this cycle was going to be cancelled due to low egg numbers and/or end up being a collect-and-freeze with no fresh transfer, but progesterone level is behaving itself and more follies have joined the party so we're pretty excited about the turn-around.

curlygirl - I see you're already over here ... good luck with your EPU on Friday

Yvette1278 - thanks for your "book" in the other thread, made for interesting reading, hope your EPU was a great success

Good luck to everyone and I look forward to getting to know more of you.

    Hey Guys

Sorry for being MIA for the last couple of days. I was getting a bit too addicted to this site, and wasn?t getting any work done Just taken some time this evening to catch up with where everyone is. Thanks for all the support and info.
Shelbee ? I think that it may be worth TTC naturally for a couple of months. My Doc says that the lap can clear the system a bit and get rid of any minor blockages that may have been there to start. Its got to be better than IVF if you can do it naturally. I would give myself a couple of months and then try the IVF. I was also told not to try in my cycle after the lap/hysteroscopy, but I think that?s because the one they want me to go for (I haven?t been yet) has Xrays in, and its not safe for a baby to be conceived just after?
CurlyGirl ? Good Luck with the triggers and EPU. I hate needles, and just having a pregnyl in my bum gets me cringing? But you are so brave. Its what we have to go through to get the BFP
JBM ? Good luck with the transfer. What?s an ACU?
Lilmisshavachat ? I hope you feel better soon and your helping hand works
Wouldlovebubba ? What?s the harm in BD?ing? Surely there is no reason not to? Good luck with the IVF
21andTTC ? I always wait 1 week, as my cycles have been that long before. But it is the most frustrating wait. Good Luck!
Smithy ? sending lots of baby vibes your way with your IVF
BabyDreamtime ? How did the ET go?
Bel ? How are you doing?
Ruth ? Yay on your embies.
Mels77 ? I?m so sorry for you. It will happen for you. Keep positive
Where there?s hope ? I hope your FS will let you try the other method, but maybe the BD worked this month??
Everyone else, good luck with your cycle
AFM, I saw the doc today , and there is good news in that I have an eggie. She did an LH test as well, which was almost positive (how that can be) But She said I was likely to ovulate today or tomorrow, so she gave me a Pregnyl jab anyway as I was there, and DH and I are keen keen keen to get going here. So we DTD this evening (before my husband went out to play soccer with work colleagues) and will keep doing the BD this week to try and catch that Egg.
Otherwise, next cycle I?m going to have a Hysteroscopy. Doc has said not to try and conceive that month as I think the way they do it here is with an Xray, so not good for baby if it comes? That?s a good thing, As I?ll be in London during the time I am due to ovulate anyway, without DH, so no BD will happening over next month?s O period. After that we try for a few months, hoping my system is flushed out. I feel better as I have a bit of a direction and a ?what?s happening? for the next few months.
Hope you are all having good baby dreams, and your Eggs are good and strong and ready and waiting.

    Goodnight
    p.s. anyone on MSN/Skype?

Well, I have one on board! ET went well yesterday and I had acu before and after. I'm going again on Saturday. Good news: two days off work! Bad news: One of the 3 embies we got was a dud, 1 good one has gone in and the remaining one was not looking great so it might not be freezable! Argh I'm so angry - how can we end up with only 1 embie on board and no frosties! Grrrrr.
