Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Thanks girls, l don't know what l would do without you guys xx
Miss.B - You are right, the waiting is horrible, but l have managed to stay away from google, and only allow myself to read this forum :D I hope you are doing good. Good luck with your bt :)
Juniper - lm sorry AF decided to come and be nasty with you. I hope doesn't stay for long. Big hugs hun xx
Spoons - FX for a natural miracle!
Pholi - Good luck with your FET, fx you get your bfp :)
Jane - I second what Pholi said, re try to find an acupuncturist specialised in fertility and pregnancy. I hope the bleeding/spotting stops soon, big hugs hun.
AFM - spotting stopped yesterday morning, but came back this afternoon in pink, and l nearly faint lol. I try to stay calm but is hard. I went straight to bed and stayed there all afternoon and was scared to go to the toilet, but i only have a bit of brown-beige discharge again. I wish i knew what is going on. Praying for good news on bt this Friday and scan on Monday.
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Jane, definitely find an acupuncturist who specialises in fertility. Seeing a general acupuncturist for fertility is like having your GP do your IVF - they know a little about a lot of different things but not enough about IVF/fertility to do it properly. I've heard of general acupuncturists using points that shouldn't be used during IVF because they simply don't know enough about fertility.
CatyO, I had pink bleeding with DD. GL on Friday and Monday!
Pholi, GL! :goodluck:
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
:hug:Jane I totally agree with Juniper you definitely need to find a good fertility acupuncturist, good luck, praying the bleeding stops
:comfort:CatyO I have everything crossed the bleeding stops and your bt on Friday and scan on Monday is good

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Hi all,
I have no idea how this all works but it was suggested I come along and join in! We have just been told that IVF is pretty much the only way for us to conceive and are still processing what that means. We are totally new to it all... and I guess I was looking for some general guidance as I really don't know what to expect. I'm booked for Jan to have a fertility scan but so far all my BT have come back promising in regards to my own fertility. As far as we know at the moment the main issue is poor SA due to cancer treatment a few years ago. I don't know if this is the right place for me to seek a bit of guidance so apologies if I'm wrong! Just feeling a little daunted by what's to come. Reading previous threads has been quite helpful though. If I need to be directed to a different forum please help me!:D PS good luck to everyone waiting on results.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Welcome Nh 24. This is definitely a helpful place to be for information, advice and support. Wishing hou all the best with your ivf journey.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Please forgive another venting post. Bright red bleeding and clots again today. Clinic is going to give me another bt on Friday but say its too early to scan. I just feel frustrated and let down by my body. I wish it would decide whether its going to support this pregnancy or not. I just feel like a pendulum swinging from hope when the bleeding stops to despair when it all starts again.

Oh Jane, l hear you! What a roller coaster! :(

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Jane, please don't feel like you need to be forgiven, we are all here to listen and offer love and support. I'm really sorry your body in not behaving yourself ATM, and I hope it sorts itself out soon. FX things start to change in a positive way and this silly bleeding takes a big hike!! Lots of love and big hugs xxx
NH24, welcome and GL in your journey, I hope it's a very quick one. You'll definitely find loads of support in here.
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Jane, that's so hard. :( sorry you're going through this.
NH24, welcome, we all have (sadly) been where you are at some level. DP has poor SA results too- 300,000 sperm where they're looking for 20 million plus. :/. IVF is tough, but doable, with support. We conceived DS2 with IVF and are now trying for a sibling.
AFM, BT this morning showed the start of my LH surge, so I am to trigger tomorrow evening, start progesterone support in Sunday, and transfer of my day 5 embryo will be on Dec 24th.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
BFN ladies, the HCG was only 3, she said it was either the trigger hanging around or a start of a pg that didn't progress. I don't think it was the trigger as the line was getting stronger :(. Bummed. Thanks for all your support ladies xxx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Jane and Miss.B, I'm so sorry to hear your updates. I had been hoping for good news for both you. xx :grouphug:
Afm, I had hoped going on the pill would make AF a bit easier but it has been horrid. I'm CD5 today and still getting some clots (sorry if that's TMI). Thankfully they're getting smaller though and the cramping has eased. Ugh, I hate having AF in this weather - I feel grotty when AF is heavy and grotty when I'm hot and sweaty, so both together makes me feel super grotty... Bleh!

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Sorry to hear Miss.B and Jane :( big hugs to you both xx
I've been a bit silent on here, but always reading, still saving away..
But today, I've just got back from an outing with my parents (did some hill climbing and possibly over did it somewhat) and went to the loo, and (sorry tmi) when I wiped there was a huge glob of EWCM and a big streak of blood in it.. I wiped a few more times and more EWCM and smaller amounts of blood.. I'm only on cd10 so I'm a little confused, I haven't had this before.. Could it just be from over doing it? I've had the large globs before but never the blood, and never had mid cycle spotting before.. Any experience or ideas?
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
TubbyPuff, I've had mid-cycle spotting like that but don't know why it happens. If it's remains a one-off occurrence, I'd assume it's from overdoing it and wouldn't worry too much, but if it starts becoming a pattern every cycle it could be worth a chat with your FS about it.
Pholi, whatever meds you use, the potential side effects are the same as if you used those meds in a stim cycle.
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Ladies, thanks again for your lovely messages, well wishes and support. We have a great bunch of ladies in here and I'm so lucky to have your support in here. Thank you :)
Jane, I hope you're holding up OK. It's tough. I'm hoping Christmas will be a welcome distraction. I'm looking forwards to a nice beer and other things I'm not supposed to have haha.
Juniper, I hope your cycle settled down. Hopefully the next one will be easier and better when the pill has kicked in. Have you been on it long? My AF is getting shorter and shorter.......menopause, here we come! lol.
TubbyPuff, not sure about mid cycle bleeding hun.....I've only had it once or twice, my doc said it was normal at my age, but you are way younger than me so like Juniper said, look into it if it keeps on happening.
Pholi, GL on Wednesday hun, will be crossing everything for you. I haven't had any side effects from the two meds together.
Hello to everyone else :)
AFM, plodding along. I feel pretty flat, especially as I know something was trying to happen and my lil embie was trying so hard. It's so bloody hard to realise that this is it, no more go's and our DS will be our only child. I know he's got his half brother and sisters, which is comforting. We are getting on a bit now and I feel sad that we won't be around as long as he'd like us to be. That's why I was hoping and praying he'd have someone closer in age to him here when we are not. Naturally we have zero chance, which has always been hard to digest, but now knowing there will be no more help from outside of that, it feels devastating. Anyway, such is life, and this is our fate. I thank my lucky stars for my DS everyday, but I feel sad that I haven't been able to give him a sibling. He's been asking for one for a while, which still breaks me heart. So far I've been saying that I am trying really hard, but what will I say now? It's hard.
