Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Thanks hun. The penny did eventually drop that both the coq10 and the melatonin is for egg quality so it doesn't matter if I take these now or not. Since it's our last cycle I probably can stop these now I suppose. I might just finish the bottles lol. Thanks again :)

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Miss.B, if you have any trouble sleeping, you could always keep the melatonin and use it as needed to help with sleep...
Afm, IUI done this morning. Somewhat frustrated that he wants to do another IUI in Feb but is not willing to prescribe FSH for it. The only concession I got was that he'd do a scan next time to check what's going on, but I half suspect he won't follow through on that... Debating going to a different FS next year instead... On the plus side, DH's sample this morning was quite good. Pity my egg was likely past it's "best before"... Oh well, not holding my breath but I guess there's still a small chance of a BFP, which is better than we've had for the last 6 months (which was zero chance since I didn't O)...

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Good luck Juniper!
Well, slightly gutted, actually quite guttet with the call this morning. Out of the 4 mature eggs injected with ISCI, only one fertilised. So all hopes are on one embie. Next hurdle is to have it actually divide and transfer will be hopefully on Saturday morning. I'm now wondering if it was the frozen sperm, maybe we should have done a fresh sample???? And I know it only takes one, but it would have been great to have another one up the sleeve.

Miss B I'm so so sorry, Praying your embie divides and gives you
Your very much deserved BFP, not sure about the frozen and fresh sperm, we done frozen and I have heard it does not matter as much with ICSI but in saying that I could be wrong it will be interesting to see what the others think, again I'm so sorry but like you said it only takes one xxxxxxxxx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Oh, Miss.B, I'm so sorry to hear you didn't have more fertilise. Will be keeping FX that the one you have will be all you need. xx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Transfer is tomorrow at 10.30, so the next hurdle of the embie diving is over. Apparently the little one is right on track with development so far. So far so good. Gosh I am so over all the hurdles!
Tomorrow I am planning to be a bit more active instead of being a couch potato. Any ideas on that? I've heard and read somewhere that increasing blood circulation is good after transfer.....so no heavy lifting or jumping on trampolines lol, but maybe a walk??

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Transfer done, all went very smoothly. I had the nicest nurse and doctor doing the transfer, so a big bonus. And this time I only drunk a little cup of water, so I wasn't in agony like I normally am during transfers. FX the embie sticks now and is healthy. It is a 9 cell embie, she said they expect them to be 6-8 cells at day 3 so that was good. Apparently another egg fertilised but abnormally. Now the wait, test is on 19 Dec, I am so not testing AT ALL :)

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Awesome news about the transfer miss b. I did christmas shopping after my transfer too. Lol.
Who needs much of a excuse for shopping? Lol.
My FS also recommends DTD after transfer- something to do with an enzyme or something in the semen which are meant to encourage implantation.
Good luck!
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Lol Jane, OH is already snoring in bed!! We did manage to DTD before transfer though.....

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Good luck to everyone in the 2ww!
AFM - We did ivf again, and l feel so guilty because l didnt tell anyone. Just felt that l was feeling too stressed and the pressure, just obsessed and reading the forums and consulting Dr Google. So this time l decided to stay away from the forums, from hpt, from google, from the internet at all. I didnt test at all! I cant believe it! I did 5 eggs and only 2 fertilised and we transferred 2 blastocysts. I got to the blood test with no period, and the results came back positive but with very low hcg levels, only 61 at 16dpo (last wednesday), they repeated blood test last saturday (3days later) and the hcg levels were 247 at 19dpo. I have been cramping since las Sunday on and off, it feels as if af is coming and i have sore low back. And then last night i went to the toilet and when l wiped there was some pinkish-orange CM, only when l wiped, i panicked and this morning l went to the clinic again for another blood test, and the nurse says the numbers are looking good. Hcg 678, Estrogen 16.3??? Not sure of the number, i was too nervous, and Progesterone 340, no pessaries this cycle, just 2 Pregnyl 1500 shots, one the day of the transfer, and one 3 days later. So, its BFP!! We are still feeling cautious, trying not to get too excited, because is early days, just praying everything goes well. If only the cramps go away, l would be more relaxed...

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Congrats CatyO!!!!
Afm I too am shocked with a BFP confirmed by the clinic today. Another BT on 22nd to see that things are progressing and a scan in three weeks, possibly longer cause of Christmas.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Congrats Jane!!!! It IS so nice to see some BFPs in here finally, it has been a bit of a drought. Enjoy ladies, and may your little embies be very stricky xxxx
Would you mind sharing your symptoms during your 2ww Caty and Jane? Would love to hear what you've had at what point. I'll pop in to the 2WW to have a lookie if you can be bothered. Thanks girls :)

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
A Hugh Congratulations to you Jane that's fantastic news xxx
Miss B how are you feeling? Praying your next, when are you going to start testing?? Do you have any symptoms xxxx
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Miss B the TWW threadis very quiet these days. In terms of symptoms I had some cramping and sore lower back as though AF was coming. I think my sense of smell is becoming increasef too. Had one day where I felt a little queasy but think that was because I had been super busy at work and didn't stop for lunch as opposed to being pregnancy related. Most of all I felt nothing symptom wise.I

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Thanks Jane! I've got cramping on and off and feel bloated but that's probably because I'm trying to drink the 8 glasses of water each day! lol. It's so great to read about you and Caty's BFP, it gives me great hope. Good luck hun xxx
1 more please, thanks sweetie . I don't think I'll be testing, much like Caty, I feel terrified this time lol! I feel bloated & crampy on and off during the day, but I think it's still discomfort from the transfer and all the water I'm trying to consume (once my old ACU lady told me that drinking plenty of water is crucial, and since I am a terrible drinker, the 8 glasses of water is killing me!!).

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Thanks girls! :D
Congratulations Jane :happydance:
Miss.B - The main symptom or the only one that I thought for sure it had to be related to pregnancy, was sore and veiny boobs at 5dp5dt. I only have had sore and boobs when I have been pregnant, and when I have been on pessaries, this time I wasn't on pessaries and the sore boobs started 3 days after my 2nd pregnyl shot, I didn't think it would be because of Pregnyl.
I had other "symptoms" but I am not sure if they were pregnancy related... I started cramping since 8dp5dt, which was 1 day before my expected period, and had been cramping until yesterday. Also sore lower back until yesterday. A bad heachache at 4dp5dt and breakdown, I bursted into tears watching a movie, and I am not a girl that cries watching a sad movie...I was very tired in the afternoons, very sharp pains when I sneezed and like pulling a muscle at night if I rolled over, it felt as if I pulled a muscle close to my ovaries and it was very painful. during the day I had lots of uterine pain, like shooting, needles and lotion discharge, I am a very dry girl after ovulation, but then again Pregnyl could have caused that?
What I did different this time was to stay away from the internet and hpt lol, also this time I had some herbs from my acupuncturist.
