hmmm, might be a little bit far for this LTer to travel for coffee...
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick note on our progress. DH and I have both been on Antonia's herbal tonics for close to six weeks now. We can feel a noticeable difference in our energy levels which is a great sign. Have been getting lots of nice comments on my skin lately, which according to Antonia is quite common as well. Had another Pulse Therapy session this morning. Have definitely become addicted to the buzzing. Could do it every day. Starting to get a little impatient but want to stick to our plan of preparing our bodies for a minimum of two months.
Big hug to everyone. Wishing you all the best on your individual journeys.
Love,
Kerri
Hi Ladies
I have been lurking and reading since last week and getting all my emotions straightened our so here i go with my catch up personals and I hope i dont miss anyone!
Kerri - thats great you and DH are feeling so healthy and positive, i definately think its a great idea to get your body prepped beforehand and can only be beneficial tot he TTC process. Good Luck!
BW - Hope the sinus is clearing up and yay to being back underway with your FET! I have everything crossed for you!
Rols - Also big congrats on getting started on your FET and good luck with the 1 or 2 question. I am sure you and DH will work what is best for you! Wishing you all the success in the world!
BG - Hi and i noticed your in the TWW so good luck and I hope you get you miracle before you have to start IVF.
Ellie - Yay on the all clear hope you get the final sign off with no problems! And not a drama queen at all! All this TTC and medical crap becomes so normal when you are using AC that you sometimes forget what a big deal it all is and how emotionally and physically draining, and yet even with such a crappy year you hold it all together. Very inspirational! Can i ask what meds you are going on to conteract the recurrent miscarriages?
Nellie - Welcome and good luck with your scans and injections. I was told by the FS 10 - 12 injections are normally needed before EPU, has worked out that way for us but may be different with others. Oh and the other thing is make sure you keep the needle in and dont wriggle it around subconsciously move it, i noticed by DH started to do that and it was quite painful so just keep it pushed all the way in. Good Luck !
Tigerlinda - Good luck starting injections next week! And its nice to see another Brisbane person hanging around!
JoeSpratt - Glad your second scan looks a lot more promising and you can go ahead with this cycle!!
Hope i didn't miss anyone!
Well we officially got our BFN today and see the FS on Monday to decide what next, until then signed up for personal training sessions twice a week and went to my first weight watchers meeting tonight, my new goal is to shed some weight before Christmas and hopefully improve the TTC as well and well just to feel good about myself and more positive.
Shan
Shannon wow you covered the personals well yes I love catching up with fellow Brissie people as we moved here 6mths ago. Iam at City Fertility you? Moring to everyone else have a great day!
Hi Shan
As soon as my knee heals up I'll be on a 'baby' asprin everyday...then prednisolone, augmentin, clexane and progynora starting day of transfer...along with the usual crinone and hcg boosters...FS expalined it basically as antibiotics and steroids...to cover all the bases. One of the other LTer's at my clinic has just had the same protocol and is pregnant...after 9 cycles! So we live in hope. Good luck hun xxx
Hi Ladies, Im new here to the forum and havent done anything like this before but Im going nuts not having anyone to talk to. We live in a small country town so there isnt any support groups or anything like that. My husband and I are on our second ivf and awaiting our results in four days time.We had one blastocyst transfer at Concept.Did 5 IUI's before that. Was pregnant the first ivf but levels were really low and never climbed . Am so scared im going to fail again!
FloJo hang in there ans stay postive hun the fear is normal but try and think of the joy bubs will bring sending you :stickyvibesboy:
Ellie - Great to hear the plan is under way
Ciao for Now
Linda
FloJo, a very warm welcome to you. :) I've found this thread, and all of BB for that matter, a huge source of support and I'm sure you'll find the same. Good luck for a better outcome with this cycle.
BW
Thanks so much for the warm welcome, have just booked my blood test for monday 8th. When do you think i could try a HPT? I am 5 days post blast transfer. I know the pee sticks are evil but i just want to prepare myself a bit before the BT.
I started testing at 4 days past blast transfer - and never really saw a clear positive. Was distinctly BFN on the day before blood test. I have to say that my advice would be not to bother with the evil pee sticks... but I can't actually see myself sticking with that advice when I have my transfer! I would suggest that you wait a couple more days, myabe 7 days past transfer? That's the goal I've set for myself - hold on until then.
BW
ditto w Bw on the hpt
Welcome FloJo
Flojo I personally think that testing before 7 day post transfer for a blast transfer is a waste of time, as historically blast transfer pgs have slower rising HCG levels than other pgs (I'm sorry all you regulars for trotting that bit of advice out again!)
FloJo, personally, I'd be inclined to just leave HPT for as long as you possibly can. If you get a BFP, you'll wonder if it's still the trigger in your system, and if you get a BFN you'll wonder if your levels will rise sufficently by tomorrow to get the BFP. This is just my opinion but I reckon it's better to hold out until the morning of the BT before doing a HPT - and then only so you are forewarned of the probable result.
Easier said than done, I know.
Had collection this morning which was very exciting. After starting out with a possible 8 from U/S on Monday they managed to get 9 eggs so very excited! Now I just have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out how many have fertilised. Hopefully with ICSI we'll get a good %. We then still have to go through PGD which will be done on Sun/Mon so hopefully by next Tuesday we'll get a good result and be able to transfer. Feeling pretty good after the collection today but I was warned that 48 hours is the killer. Has anyone else experienced this? At least I'll have the w/end to recover fully. Trying to keep everything in perspective and not get too ahead of myself.
Good luck & best wishes for everyone
JS, first of all, well done and congrats. Secondly, DW was fine after her EPU and she was swollen like a blimp beforehand (and after) due to the high number of eggs she had. She was even kicking the soccer ball around with me and the dog that afternoon. That's not to say you wont be tender, but at least based on our experience, and that of the other ladies here, you should be fine.
You've done all the hard work, just sit back and we'll all keep our fingers crossed for a good fert. rate and successful PGD process.
Hi Guys
Tigerlinda - Im at City Fertility with Dr Lindstrom, they are really great there!!
Joe - Congrats on the great egg numbers so rest up and get ready for transfer next week!!
Have a great day!!
