Possums, Congrats on a ET last Friday. Hope you're now keeping busy during your tww..

Bel, glad to see you're feeling better and ready to move forward. It's hard when everything falls apart at the end after such hope and expectation. My fingers are crossed for you for this cycle.

Neptune, hope the sniffing is goign ok and you're not getting too many of those lovely side affects.

JBM, hope your month off passes quickly and you find the break a welcome relief. Sometimes we just want things to happen and keep moving forward but when something happens forcing us to take time out, it allows us to get your head in a better place anyway. Best wishes for your next cycle.

Nicole, how did you go today.. hope your u/s shows your follies still growing nicely. Only 2 more sleeps till epu...

Shelbee and welcome. I did 3 oi-iuis before moving onto ivf. The tww can be a test to our sanity! Hope yours goes quickly with some happy news at the end of it all.

Bride of Chucky, hope your time is passing by quickly. October will be here before you know it, it's scary to think how quickly this year has gone.

Futuremum, GL for your cycle. Hoping it brings you success.

Wishing baby, hoping this month brings you success.

Smithy, where is AF?? Some people do rain dances, it's time we created an AF dance for you so you can get started!

Luckystrike, epu tomorrow! Best of luck. I'll be thinking of you. I found not being able to eat anything until after the epu the hardest! I'm a big fan of my brekkie and I was starving by the time I was sitting in the waiting room! Met lost of other nice ladies going through the same thing. Talking to them really helped to pass the time. I wasn't nervous until they actually took me into the theatre.

Epu today went well. Last Thursday's scan showed 13 follies. I must have had some sort of a power surge because today they pulled out 22 eggs! Now we wait until tomorrow's phone call to find out how many have fertilised... I'll check in tomorrow and let you know results.

Hubby's cooking dinner. I modified the hospital outpatient advice sheet which says not to do anything for 24 hours following sedation, including cooking or house work... I changed mine so it read "for one week" but he wasn't to be fooled!! Better enjoy it while it lasts!! Have a good night.

Hey Kelly- I agree re work, I am sure stress plays a part...I too have so often been tempted to throw it in at work...but then we need the $$...so hoping for a BFP to make things easier in that arena too, so I can relate.
I hope your FET cycle doesn't progress toooo slowly.

    Hi Everyone

    I'm back from my EPU!
I have to say the procedure was not as bad as I thought it would be.
Was given a "mild general" as the anaethesist called it so was put to sleep.
Next thing I know I opened my eyes and just thought I had dozed off didnt even realise it was over until the nurse asked me how I was and told me we were done.

She said they got 4 follicles which was no suprise to me. Spoke to the FS soon after and he said everything was fine and all we can do now is wait and see how many fertalise.

So keepining my fingers crossed for good news tomorrow.

I dont know why but I feel a lot more positive now. I have accepted the fact I only have 4 follies and am now just excited about transfer which should be on thursday (if all goes well )

Kaydee when is your transfer, do you now how many eggs fertlised yet?

Nicole S good luck for tomorrow! :goodluck2: I hope all goes well!

KellyD - Yes I hated the Synarel too but unfortunateley for us we have to do it! Hope your FET goes according to plan and results in a BFP!

Possums I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully in a week you will get a BFP!

Wishingbaby - 3 follicles is great, good luck over the next few days!

Smithy - When we want AF to come it doesnt! Just be patient I am sure it will be here soon.

Shelbee - good luck with your BT on the 15th and that BFP!

To everyone else hope you are all doing great!

I'm glad it all went well LuckyStrike! I really hope you get good results from here and my fingers are crossed for you. My EPU last time wasnt as bad as I thought it would be either. Now take it easy and may they all fertilise

as for me....I am trying not to think about being in the TWW and what's happening inside my body, but it's ALWAYS in the back of my mind. Have more acupuncture on Friday. Sadly DH will be away for work on BT day (back in the afternoon though thankfully, because good or bad, I'll want him around)

    Hi all my friends,

    How is everyone going today??

Smithy- My sweet friend..has the wicked witch shown up yet.I went 63 days once without her and went to see my accupuncturist who bought her on within 1 hour of my treatment...just a thought for you. Am thinking of you always.

Wishing baby- I hope you and DH are getting busy!!

Kaydee- 22 is an unreal number..big congrats.

Nicole- All the best for EPU. I hope you get good quality little ones!!

LuckyStrike- Glad to hear you are feeling positive. 4 good embies is a great result. I hope they all behave nicely for you and grow grow grow!

Kelly- I too unfortuantely get the whole work stress thing. I also have to just keep going so I can afford to keep on this TTC journey. I'm going to go back to yoga though as that was a great release and relaxation tool for me. I hope you can find some stress release too. There is just so much stress involved in all this. Am thinking of you.

Janet- How are you going my friend? I hope you are feeling ok and are feeling stronger every day. You are always in my thoughts.

Bride of Chucky- How are things at the moment?

Future Mum- Great to see you here in this thread too. I know there are some amazing ladies in the older women thread where you normally post. I hope we can be of some support to you as well. All the girls here are fabulous.

To anyone I missed out...sorry...need to go and get some dinner into my tummy.

AFM- am cruising along. Am very happy to have found out today where my FS has relocated to. And it's only 10 minutes from home. So next cycle will be with him. Day 5 now so still about 3 and a half weeks away. Will book in tomorrow to see him at his new clinic ASAP!!

    Hugs to all

    Stay strong

    Bel

    Hi

    Hi There

I have never joined an online forum before and this is my first post - so I am hoping that this will work!

My husband and I have been TTC since 2006 and we have just failed our first attempt at IVF -ICSI, we didn't even get to transfer (actually got to the clinic physically but then were told the news). I only had 5 eggs retrieved, 4 mature, 2 fertilized and made it to day 3 and then didn't make it to day 5. We are both shattered. We are able to start again as soon as we like and that will be as soon as AF arrives.

I wanted to link up with others experiencing the IVF journey and ask if any of you started a treatment cycle so soon again?

    Look forward to chatting.

    Hi Bella,
Welcome to BB, I am fairly new aswell. I am sorry to hear your sad news, how frustrating, especially to get to the clinic & then they tell you, that must have been so hard. Your experience sounds very similar to mine, I always get around 6 eggs & there are never any strong enough to freeze, however I do make it to the embryo transfer, but it never sticks.
What clinic are you with? I know how hard this is but try and be strong, I wish you all the best for your future IVF cycles, please keep me updated.

Hi all my friends...a busy day here today..

Bella- Hi and welcome. I hope you find some support from all of us here.

Babytruj- Welcome also. I would say to give the ovulating meds a go for a while. Also I have heard that if you are going to look into DH's swimmers, it is better to have done say an IVF clinic as they have different parameters as to what is considered "normal". My advice would be if you don't get results on the meds, go see an infertility specialist. That doesn't necessarily mean IVF, but it will probably give you some more options. Hope we can support you too.

Diamond- Hi there and welcome. Hope things are going well for you. IVF isn't so scary!! I find the emotions a lot scarier that the actual treatment, and all of us TTC are on an emotional journey. We'll all support you.

21- I hope your sharp pains up there have gone!!

Rach- Thanks for your thoughts. I hope AF turns up on the weekend and you can get started.

Cuddlepie- Hi again my friend. Am thinking of you.

Ruth- Will be thinking of you in the morning as we both go in for EPU. Hoping you have a relaxing day afterwards. All the best xx

Where There's Hope- How is everything going for you at the moment? I'm with you on the waiting. It is so very hard when you just want to get moving forward. Unfortunately, so many of us here have angel babies too. You are definately in the right place here and are SO welcome.

BDT- Here we go again!!! Hoping you have a great outcome for your EPU tomorrow. Will be thinking of you also in the morning. Have a relaxing weekend.

Mels- Thanks for the thoughts and I'm glad you found my friends story inspiring.

Millymoo- A big hi for you

Would Love Bubba- I just love your user name..is so cute!

Daisy- Welcome to our thread. I hope so much for you that you find a suitable donor soon. I'll be looking out for you and I hope I can be of some support to you.

Janet- I'm always thinking of you and I'm looking forward to being cycle buddies with you too.

Smithy- Where are you my ray of sunshine??? Are you cruising round on that new pushbike of yours or hooning round the streets? Sending you a big hug.

WHOA...that's long. Sorry if I missed you.

AFM- Triggered last night and my eggies are SO ready to get out. Am damn uncomfortable. Yesterday my oestrogen was spot on..2650, and all little follies around 18mm. I have a huge gut on me!!

Have to be at the hospital at 6.45am for EPU at 7.45am.

DH is going away early in the morning, so I have my amazing Mum and sister picking me up and looking after me this weekend..I'm not so good after EPU and am stressing a bit as to how I'll be this time. Am going straight to acupuncture afterwards for a little treatment to help the pain I suffer from.

Will let you all know how I go when I can get back on the computer. Thanks for all the kind wishes and thoughts. It means so much to me that you all care.

    Night all

    Hugs Bel and eggies!!

    Hi Bella2
Im new to BB and new to the IVF experience as well, I start Purgon Injections as soon as AF arrives, any day this month, I have never wanted to expect AF so much in my life .. Ironic isnt it ... Sorry to hear about your trip to the clinic and then to receive that sad news ... my FS told me that may happen, so fingers crossed for all of us that that never happens again
