Emerald ~ I really hope this is it for you! I have my fingers and toes crossed for you! GL with your BT tomorrow!

Nix76 ~ With only 4 sleeps to go I can only assume your BT is this Friday!?! I have my fingers and toes crossed for you too!

MotherhoodhereIcome ~ I asked the nurse today about the drop of FSH and she said it's quite normal. In fact its quite normal for any type of injection for fluid to come out and keeping it in longer does not necessarily prevent fluid coming out.

Tracy ~ Glad to hear AF has arrived and you can start your injections tomorrow! All the best for this cycle!

AFM ~ Second scan today. 9 follies so far...no change to my dosage. Have another scan booked in for Wednesday and hopefully if my follies are the right size EPU will be Friday. YAY. I am beginning to feel a little uncomfortable.

melttc - Sounds like your follies are growing really well...you should get some great eggs!! Also it helps if you drink lots of water, when you start feeling uncomfortable so you prevent OHSS. GL for EPU, but i'm sure we'll chat before then.

    Hello ladies!

A little late on today, too long at work I think and then I couldn't get on for some reason...!!

loops and sonyalouise- thanks for the advice! I'll have to show it to DH...

sonyalouise - 2 transferred also! I hope this means that in 9 months we're going to see an increase in rate of twins delivered!

Meg - I didn't find the antagonist really any different to administer, although I did find it hurt a little more (but not much, honest!!). And after a minute I couldn't feel it anyway. GL with your scan tomorrow

Mel - how did you go with your scan today? Do you have an EPU date yet???

Juniper - thanks for posting the Medicare changes, always good to be on top of these things!

Tracy - glad that AF has arrived!! Even though I don't necessarily like injecting i'm always happier when I am cos at least I know i'm doing something!

Emerald Star - i'll be for you that you get the result you want!!!

Nix - i'm a bit like you. I'm not too grumpy (yet but give it time!) but I am really tired. And of course reading too much into EVERYTHING! Like the fact that I have a mouth ulcer. Somehow i've managed to link it to an early sign of pregnancy (well I did read something about the hormonal changes and how they effect your mouth. Of course the same article also mentioned these changes occur right before AF arrives but I ignored that bit...)

Hello to everyone else, hope you're going along nicely with waiting, injecting, sniffing, prodding, or whatever else you're doing! Sprinkling some in the air...

    Hi Everyone,

I'm fast becoming addicted to this and keeping up with everyone's progress is better than Neighbours!

Emerald- That sounds really promising- I loved reading your post because as calm as I have been so far, I can imagine I'll be POAS like a mad woman and analysing everything when and if I get to the TWW! Fingers crossed for a BFP!

Lise- Thanks for the encouragement on the antagonist injection! It was absolutely fine. I don't know what I was anxious about...

Melttc- Great work on the follicle numbers! I'm off for my first scan tomorrow and hoping I'll do as well as you. The timing is good because I'm starting to wonder if my lack of side effects means nothing is happening!

Everyone else... hope all is well.

Emerald- So glad you aren?t out of the game yet. Hope you get a good beta reading tomorrow. In regards to symptoms, I knew before taking the test that I was pregnant only because I started with nausea a day or two before I was due for the test. I was also extremely tired. I also went off chocolate! I hope if I am this time around the same thing happens, I may lose a couple of kilos.

Meg76- Good luck for your scan tomorrow! Don?t you love how the DH?s get treated with kid gloves.

Meltcc- Great result, 9 follies, that?s how many I had at my last scan before my egg pick up. Fingers crossed for a good result.

Juniper76- Thanks for the info, the medicare stuff was interesting although I think I have to wait for my itemized bill before being able to make any sense of it.

    Tracey- Yay injections start tomorrow.

Lise- Here are some Don't forget if both embryos stick then you should get double the HCG reading so it may mean double the symptoms. I also ignore the fact that symptoms could be caused by AF or the progesterone support.

AFM- I thought I would spend some time away from BB because I thought it would make the time go faster, but I couldn?t help myself . Nothing makes the time go faster.

Did anyone see the article about ivf (I think it was on a current affair) about the lady with 11 children under 7. She had two sets of quads!!! Although it wasn?t clear if it is iui or ivf. I had a freak out moment, as much as I want both embryos to stick, I don?t think I want quads!

This may be TMI-The Crinone gel is making my boobs so sore!!! And I have only had two nights worth aghhhh. 12 to go.

    Hi Ladies,

There doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day lately and I haven't managed to keep up to date with BB. To catch up.... I had a BT & scan last Friday and endometrium was at 9mm. I also had a good size follie which they said was excellent and was predicting I would ovulate on Sunday. I had follow up BTs yesterday and today to confirm ovulation and a rising progesterone. Things are all on track and I am scheduled for FET on Friday.

Emerald - with your BT today. all your dreams come true.

SonjaLousie - I also saw the article on ACA. I don't think you have to stress to much about quads. I am pretty sure that lady did GIFT for the quads. GIFT isn't practiced a lot these days due to risks associated with high numbers of multiple births, plus IVF technology has improved in recent years. Fantastic news about your 5 frosties and all the best for your TWW. I hope you manage to remain nicely distracted.

Melttc - thanks for asking after me. FET is scheduled for Friday. Hopefully this one will be a keeper! 9 follies is a great start. All the best for your next scan tomorrow and your upcoming EPU.

Lise - DH and I had the opposite problem when we did our first ET... it was me who was scared to DTD. I am planning on being a bit more relaxed about things this time around. All the best for the remainder of your TWW.

Juniper - thanks for the link to the new Medicare caps. I calculated I will be an extra $1,200 OoP for a full stim. Will definitely be moving to another stim cycle if our little embie doesn't stick.

Meg - welcome from me also. BB does get addictive. It's great logging on and seeing where everyone is up to. GL with your treatment.

Jilly - I did 2 IUI's before moving to IVF. There is a part of me that wishes we hadn't wasted our time and moved straight to IVF, although I guess I would be feeling differently if it had worked. I had a friend that got pregnant via IUI and her husband had mobility issues. As I understand it IUI works best for couples with mobility issues but a high sperm count - the sperm don't have to swim as far and there is a greater chance of more little guys meeting the egg. If that is your only fertility issue it would seem reasonable to give it a go..... you never know it could be all you need to get you across the line. However, if you have other issues like endo or POCS - maybe IVF would be the way to go. GL with the decision, your FS should be able to shed more light on what might be best for you and DH.

Ailine, Tracy, MHIC and Coral - Wishing you all the best with your various stages of treatment. I am looking forward to some BFP action in this post.

I always set out to do a quick post and it ends up turning into an essay! Hello to anyone I have missed I hope your treatment or the waiting game is going well.

    Good Morning Ladies!

I hope you are all well... lol.

sonyalouise - What a fantastic result! 2 transferred and 5 snowbubs... yay! I'm glad to hear that the transfer went well and lots and lots of for your 2WW! I didn't catch the Current Affair program about the quads but that is crazy... quads! I know what you mean about time, I swear that it almost feels like it goes backwards during the 2WW, he, he!

Meg76 - Good Luck with the scan today and hope you get great results. Make sure you let us know how you go!

lise - I have all on my fingers, toes, legs and arms crossed for you that you get a nice BFP. I do exactly the same thing and thought that my sneezing at work during my 2nd 2WW was a sure sign... until I mentioned this to one of colleagues who also noted how strange it was that she was also sneezing heaps, he, he! I hope your ulcer is an early sign of pregnancy though!

Tracy - Yay for AF arriving (feels very strange writing that as normally we don?' want her anywhere in sight)! Good Luck with your FSH injection today! Thanks for the well wishes about the eggs? I hope they are growing, growing, growing also, he, he!

Emerald Star - Yipppeeee!!!! I was so happy to read your post that you are back in the game! You are right, it is amazing how quickly you can feel down one minute and then up the next or vice versa! A massive, massive GOOD LUCK with your BT today and I hope that you have fantastic beta numbers!

melttc - 9 follies is a great result - yay! Fingers crossed that all of your follies show good sizes on tomorrow's scan and that you have EPU on Friday! I hope you don't get too much more uncomfortable before EPU.

Nix76 - I hope the 2WW is treating you well and I am still that you get your BFP! Are you going to POAS or is your BT in 3 days?

Motherhood here i come - I hope you cycle is going well.. Where are you up to? I so have everything crossed for you that you get good results out of this cycle!

juniper - Thanks for the info on the Medicare Safety Net? I find it all so confusing and have just tried to work out my tax and have no idea of what I am doing??? I just don?t get how to work out the out of pocket for Medicare and Medibank Private cause nothing is adding up - arrrgghhh! Hopefully my accountant will shed some more light on the situation when I see her soon.

Loops - Thanks for the thoughts about my ovaries being hard at work. Still sending you selling vibes for that tractor!

mift - I know what you mean about not enough hours in the day... I meant to post yesterday and just ran out of time! So glad to hear that things are on track for you and a BIG GOOD LUCK for the FET on Friday! Yay - nearly there, only 3 sleeps to go!

Airline - How was the party? I hope your cycle is progressing along nicely and that you have lots and lots of big follies!

AFM - Well, I had my Day 6 BT on Monday and was advised that all seemed well, although, the nurse told me that my oestrogen was at 1,000 which she said was a little high, but not too much. My dosage has remained the same. She advised me to drink heaps of water and to keep up the protein intake. I have been trying really hard to do both, although, am starting to feel pretty sore and am quite bloated. I so pray that I don't get OHSS... Has anyone had it before? If yes, what did it feel like/ where there any signs? I have another BT and a scan on Friday to tell me how many follies I have. EPU isn't scheduled until Monday, 19 October so feels like ages away to be feeling this sore already!

Coral73- I just realised that you are only one day ahead of me in the process! Unfortunately I can't offer you any insight into the real experience of OHSS but maybe your soreness is a good sign that things are happening!? Isn't it crazy that you are concerned because of some side effects and I am worrying because of my lack of them... we are funny creatures! Try not to stress (that is so unhelpful, I know... I'm ready to punch the next person who tells me to "just relax") and be kind to yourself.

    Thinking of you,

    Meg.

Meg76 - Thanks for your reply and thoughts . Yay - that means we can be cycle sisters ! I so agree with you... I was worried at the start of taking the FSH that I couldn't feel anything and then all of sudden (within a day or two) I was worried that I was feeling too much! I hope we are both worrying for nothing and that we get good results regardless! I must admit, you made laugh about the 'relax comment,' he, he! How did your scan go today/ have you had it yet?

Sonyalouise - Congratulations on your results, they are fantastic. Fingers crossed and good luck with your 2WW

Meg - GL with your scan. Be sure to keep us all posted.

Nix, Emerald Star, Lise - GL ladies with your 2WW also. Again, we want to know how your progressing so be sure to let us know ok!!!

Melttc - 9 Follies is great. Keep growing little ones, grow.

Tracy - Hope the FSH injections are treating you well.

To everyone else and all I have missed. GL and FX with where ever you are at with your cycles are at. Know that my thoughts are with you all.

AFM - Well started my Lucrin injections last Thursday (Yay finally some progress) and took my last OCP on Sat night so now Im kind of sitting tight, waiting for AF to rear her ugly head LOL. Be sure ladies to send AF vibes my way. Thursday morn, bright and early will be my first BT and I'm expecting that I'll also pick up my FSH meds etc and then about Thurs lunch I should get my call from the PGD nurses at SIVF with the results and what to do next which im expecting/hoping will be to start my FSH on Sat 17/10/09.

In the mean time, in between injections and seriously thinking about how this cycle will pan out in the area of will we have the same issue as last time (cancel before EPU due to poor performance), will we have enough follicles, will we get enough eggs, will we have enough eggs make it through and fertilise, will we have enough when they have fertilised that will make it to Blast stage and then after all that, will we have many non affected eggs that dont have DH's yucky gene to have a FET and then some snowbubs and will we have a successful ET and end up with a BFP (See lots of thinking), I have been trying to work out whether or not we will be able to fit in another cycle before the new Medicare disaster hits. Cant help myself, need to plan ahead "just in case" but Im thinking that time will beat us on that one . I will ask the nurse on Thursday when they call with my results and next steps what they think and see what they say. What do you guys think?

Also, DH and I are looking at going on holidays OS. Maybe Fiji or Vanuatu or even Hawaii given the weather warnings for the South Pacific for a break. We have just closed up our small business and it has been a few years since we have been able to have a holiday and go anywhere, we really need some time out and completely and utterly relax and be waited lol. So, that means im kind of concerned about the timing of that too, because we want to do it before DH gets really serious about job hunting. What Im worried about is that I dont want to be stuck in a foreign country should I fall ill etc (If you know what I mean). My nurse has told me that I can expect EPU all going well to be around the last week of Oct and then ET somewhere in the wk beginning 02.11.09 and then, fingers crossed, BT for you know what would be between 12.11.09 and 17.11.09. Hmmmm what to do? Any advice ladies? Were looking at going for a week just to completely relax and so was thinking of booking for the middle of the 2ww. Maybe after hey, what you think?

Well enough from me. Be sure to send AF vibes my way wont you. GL to everyone, I'll be watching anxiously for some BFP's and to see everyones progress!!!

Motherhood here i come!- A holiday sounds perfect! Being a current resident of Far North Queensland, may I make a suggestion? If you're concerned about being too far away if something goes wrong why not look at Port Douglas? It's gorgeous and warm and you feel like you're a million miles away from everything but you can be back in Sydney in 3 hours or come back to Cairns if there's a problem.

I'm sorry to now make this post about me but I'm after some reassurance (or reality if that's what's needed!). I've just had my first scan and there are only 5 follicles. That seems low to me but my FS said he was happy with things and hasn't increased my dose of FSH so I guess that's a good sign? I spoke to the nurse and she said those numbers are on the low side but my estrogen levels are perfect so it may mean that they are good quality and contain eggs. She also said that there may have been some small ones that he didn't count that may be there when I have my next scan on Friday. I'm just worried that the odds will be against me if I'm starting with a low number...

The nurse also said that the lady who was in just before me had no follicles so things could be worse...

I'd really love to know what you all think.

    Hello Ladies,
Before i update you all on my day today, i would like to note some personals.

Lise - thanks for your support and i hope your 2WW is drawing to its end soon!!

Meg76 - You're funny, but sooo glad to hear that there's possibly another SERIAL POAS'er in the making!! Good luck!!!

sonyalouise - 12 days to go!!!! I hope this time is your BFP!! with the symptoms thing..well with #1 i had NO Symptoms and although it didn't work out I was pregnant!! with this second one i had some of the classic "pregnancy symptoms" so i assumed the best. GL hon!

Mitf - So excited about your upcoming FET! All the best to you and i really do hope you and ALL the girls get some BFP this time round. Although i must say don't know much about how the FET thing works, but you sound happy and excited about your progress so i'm happy for you!!

Coral73 - I haven't suffered from OHSS, i just drink lots of fluids..if i get sick of water, teas from teas to juices, to some softdrinks back to water etc etc...so i have been fortunate to keep OHSS at bay....but then again i don't get as many follies as some of you young girls so that also prevents me from OHSS. Otherwise hang in there as the exciting bits are yet to come and then you will have to face that dreaded 2WW!!

Motherhood here i come - Glad to hear thing are progressing in your cycle....i know everyone says the same thing about worrying whats gonna happen in the next cycle..but i understand it's what we do....we all want our next cycle to be better than the last and of course we all want it to be the one! There is nothing that i can say that will make those agonising questions and uncertanties disappear, but what i do know is that no matter what we did our best and face the next challenge with the same uncertanties.
As for a HOLIDAY.. well..what a greeeeat idea to keep your mind off the 2WW. and let me tell you FIJI is the bomb....went there Christmas before last and had a wonderful time..the islands are beautiful !! Only 4.5 hr flight from Sydney..cheap fares at the moment as well....and no I don;t work for FIJI Tourism!!

AFM - well....BFN.....apparently the POSITIVE faint faint line that you had to hold on an angle in the direct sunlight and squint with your third eye was a EVAP LINE!!!!!!!
Do you believe that...of course, why should it be that easy for me when there's ladies who have been trying longer than me...right! Well, I've had my cry and NOW #3 here i come. This will probably start sometime early to mid NOvember when AF shows..you all know the drill...Now back to exercise, picking up dog poo ( DH was cleaning it while i'm cycling, but when i'm not well....someones gotta and DH won't) and pondering about how we can make #3 a SUCCESS!! sorry to bother you all and give you my FALSE HOPES, but then again that's why i joined this site...to share my good, bad, weird, funny, true, false, (you get the pic) so thanks for listening...i can hear people talking over me...am i boring you...sorry ..i'm finished now BYE!!

EmeraldStar - I am so sorry to hear about your BFN . I had high hopes that this little one was going to stick. Enjoy your cry and a glass or two... you deserve it - plus maybe a massage if DH can be cohersed. All the best for cycle #3. Hopefully your FS can mix it up a bit and find the solution to get you on the November wall of fame.

MotherhoodHereICome - I think a holiday would be fantastic. Wish I could have one! I would like to second FNQ. I went there Nov last year - Cains, Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation. We went out to the GB reef and enjoyed some seriously amazing dinning. DH and I hadn't had a tropical Aus holiday in a number of years and we had a fantastic time. (alternatively, I have heard Broome is lovely as well).

just a quick post as I have to get dinner ready...

emerald ~ so sorry to hear about your result I was really hoping that positive faint line would turn out to be a BFP..damn that EVAP line! Treat yourself to a glass of wine two and try to put the last cycle behind you. Bring on cycle#3! and I cycle #3 makes your dreams come true!!!!

AFM - this is going to probably going to gross a few people out so I apologise in advance, but today when I went to the toilet I discovered lots of clear CM. I would like to know if it's possible to ovulate while on IVF?? Usually lots of clear CM is a sign that ovulation is about to happen!
