My scan this morning was heaps more promising, my right ovary has even grown some. Pick up is Wednesday afternoon so I have to get up at 1.30am to do my trigger
Great news kel! I wish you all the best for tomorrow and hope you get lots of good eggs. Fingers crossed we can endure the tww together.
Good news for us, we had 10 of our eggs fertilise, so really happy. Hopefully we get at least 5 survive until day 5 as our clinic only transfers blastocysts.

Mrs O'M Woo Hoo great numbers fertilised well done hoping all of them survive until day 5
afm: nothing exciting except does anyone ever wish they could slap them selves? I wish I could really hard i'm disgusted with myself
I want to fall pg more than anything and would do anything I could to be able to fall pg but why why cant I find the motivation to lose
weight which would help me fall pg, seriously need motivation right now
Newbie here, DH and I learned yesterday that our best chance for success is with IVF due to low sperm count and motility. Appointment with FS tomorrow to discuss our options from here. Feeling nervous/excited/anxious/overwhelmed all at the same time. This TTC business is quite the rollercoaster ain't it? Also looking forward to my appointment tomorrow so that I better understand everyone.
Can anyone tell me how long the IVF process took for them? Maybe I could be asking Santa for a BFP?
Juniper - May I please be added to the List? I am on CD17
emma, I did steroids (prednisolone), aspirin, clexane as part of nkc protocol. but there's other meds (intralipids etc) that they might use depending on levels. not sure if its what got me a bfp, but it worked. best of luck. xx
Andie how long did you stay on that protocol? I've also got my bfp last wk while on same regime (plus Feldene) and just wonder how long other ladies stayed on it after bfp?
Emma, I was tested for NK cells last year (biopsy). Came back positive. The protocol I did for my last stim was meant to counter it - steroids, antibiotics, aspirin, estrogen patches, down regulation with synarel, intrapalid infusion, etc.
Most FS think it is BS though. There is also a school of thought that they are necessary to maintain a pg
My FS is away, so another FS did my biopsy.
It sort of makes sense- when I asked him what happens if it come back positive, he was adamant that he didn't know what my FS's protocol was regarding NKC.... I thought that odd as they both work for MIVF and how different could the protocols be?!?!
He said he would put me on predeselone (sp) if I was his patient.
How long will the results take?
I want to start a FET on Monday- is it possible for my FS to put me on the meds, just in case of positive results?
On a side note- if this comes back negative, then our next option is PGD- gosh it makes an already expensive venture, double the price!
Mrs O'M, great fertilisation rate! KUP on how they go!
Sgronan, hi and welcome! Feel free to ask any questions you may have!
Emma, ditto what Andie and N2L said about the treatments and diversity of opinions about their validity. Yes, you can go on the immune protocol with prednisone (or prednisolone), clexane, low dose aspirin, feldene without the diagnosis - that's what my FS has had me on this year and I haven't had any testing for NKC... He just prescribes it without testing, but it's worth noting that a lot of other (more conservative) FS would disapprove of his treatment protocols...
You won't get results by Monday. I had to wait a couple of weeks from memory.
There are only a few FS in Melbourne that will treat for NK cells. I remember Monash publishing a few studies which dismissed it, saying results for the Colorado Protocol are worse than regular protocols. I remember their waiting room being covered in articles about these studies, my DP pointing them out and me thinking "Great " because I was smack in the middle of doing a colarado protocol
Ps I actually changed from MIVF to Monash to get tested and treated for NK cells.
PPS - your DH has to take the antibiotics too for a stim

emma, I got tested & treated at mivf. biopsy got sent to sydney for analysis & like n2l said it took a couple of weeks. also, some fs's like to start the steroids before starting stimming meds. apparently there can be a cumulative effect of the steroids & can take 2-3 goes to work. i got a bfp after 2 try's. xx
