    Humphrey -
not as at yesterday but had had several twinges the last few days both sides and EWM

Waiting for today's bloodtests result but my Phlebotomist told me he loves me and my veins - and our daily rendezvous

wishes everyone was like me (not me not)

Great news Mel - that's the spirit - only 2 weeks away

Hi guys. Thank you all so much for thinking of me. It was hard, as you know, but I have to admit that at least 2 days prior to AF, I really did know it was over. The thing is she arrived only 1 week after transfer, so was a bit shocked by the sudden arrival.

I have kept dropping by tol see how you are all going (I make it sound like Ive been gone for months, not days). Still am having my very teary moments, but that is to be expected. And this time Im allowing myself to feel upset and to cry as much as I want. Only a very select few actually knew we were doing the IVF this time, so at least didnt have tol go along explaining to everyone.

Although was a little hard when another of my close friends emailed me to let me know she was pregnant the very same day AF arrived - timing can really suck, cant it?!

Having had my disappointment I feel totally bad that Sush felt she shouldn't post in here about her fantastic news and, yes I appreciate it very much but she deserves a big rant from me right here, so here goes:

    CONGRATULATIONS SUSH!!!

Your success and, now most probable, total elation makes all the ups and downs of this ridiculous rollercoaster ride completely worth it. And I am looking forward to meeting this darling in April 2006!

Ali - Would be great if we could have gotten together for drinks and hugs. We 'virtually' are anyway. Hugs to you honey. But great news on the upcoming FET. I will be going down the FET path too in September. Doc wants me to rest my ovaries after such a strong stim this cycle. We have 2 snowbubs and if, I mean when, both thaw we will be putting them both back.

Thanks Ali, Trish and Blue for your kind thoughts

Trish my veins are like yours easily accessible - a few times the nurses have sighed relief when they see them especially after a they have just spent 30 mins trying to find a vein in another women - rather have the good stand out veins (IYKWIM)

I am over come by how supportive you all have been!!

I have an ET time of 10.10am tomorrow. I asked how many of the 3 fertilised but she could nto tell me. I was getting worried as I called at 2 they asked me to call back I called back 1/2 hour later and they still had no answers for me. they took my number and boy that was the longest half hour of my life.

    talk about nerve wracking!!!

    Shazz ~ Fantastic news!!!

Thanks Sheree - hope this fresh cycle has higher odds .

Yeah Shazz -I was thinking same thing ? [-o< for you wee ones right now how can do this to you as well - all that worry overnight.

Today at my clinic (hospital)I saw the a lot of interesting cultures - 2 women in head scarfs (not over face) and the full dress.Indian lady too. I thought they wouldn't allow IVF but I guess when they want a baby as much as we do. :smt102

Yesterday I saw a much older Aussie man (60 maybe) with a younger Asian lady - not her grandfather but looked old enough. Maybe they look at me and think I am old bag too. I hope they all have luck.

The 'vampire' phlebotomist (for last 3 days) is a lovely dark African looking guy - with shiny white teeth, nice smile not bad looking, shaven head (probably hates the tight curls).

Looking at Staff - photo board there are same number of scientists (all nationalities) as there are nurses (10) - hope this means they spend a lot of time looking after our future babies.

I just opened our HCF statement - my little day surgery to correct hydrosalphinx - remove right fallopian tube etc - just Theatre/DO cost $2499 - 1hr in OT and 11hrs in hospital -OMG thank goodness for Private health insurance ( that will hurt them \/ )

I think the Hilton is cheaper though.

I don't even know if this included the DR OBG fee - shudder to think - She had NO Gap FEE - so won't see her bill - thank you HCF

Anaesthetist - $450 for her 1hr (not fully covered but who cares - she did good job - but double the medicare sch fee) 8hrs * $450 = $3600 per day (+).

The poor DR O a fellow from WM assisting $120 (medicare/HCF only -lucky this bill was a surprise).

The pathlogy another - like what are they looking at in a tiny piece of fallopian tube ? another $155 + what did they do dip it in Gold and frame it.

Considering this IVF is so cheap in comparsion - however read on website somewhere $12,000 cycle - we are so blessed by Medicare safety net Praise God -

I got part refund of 1st cycle today - better not forget to go the bank \/

    Cazz,
you go back to the reception desk on level 6 Reproductive Services and they will give you some paperwork, and then you sit on the chairs just outside where you will be called into a room just to the right.
    Hope it all goes well...
