Racheal ~ I was herbs from my naturopath for about 4 months. They tasted gross. mine came in liquid form and all I did was add 7ml to a half cup of water and I could hardly get it down and the aftertaste was excruciating. but they helped me a whole lot!!
I cant imagine having to boil them up.
Sheree~ I would seriously consider a naturopath. they will work with any medical treatment you have. are you in Vic? I could ask my naturopath for any suggestions on who you could see. She trained under Francesca Naish who wrote The Natural Way to Better Babies. My naturopath is really great and she has a special interest in fertility.
When I went to see her the first time I was ovulating very late in my cycle and only having a Luteal Phase of 9 days. turns out the late ovulation was the reason for the LP defect. She put me on some stuff(on day 4 of my cycle) and I ovulated on CD14 and had a LP of 14 days.
Brilliant work I would say as my doctor(first one) said he could not help me with that
About Vitex do not use this with any treatment like injections(IVF and injectables) or clomid. Vitex will counteract these drugs and will have the opposite effect and stop you from growing follicles or ovulating.
OHSS I have a friend she went on injectables with IUI the first time she got OHSS but was not pregnant.
The second time she got OHSS and is now pregnant with quads!
Shazz I hope you dont have OHSS. but I would be requesting they do check into whats happening with you.

Re the bruising after blood tests etc: I got told by my friend (who is on chemo and therefore having lots of tests/injections etc) to drink lots of water before BT so they can find the vein easier. HTH

Trish – how are you? I’m on progynova too. I think it is to build up (before fET) & maintain (after FET) my endometrium. Good on you for your no POAS policy! I have much the same symptoms as you. I thought I was a little bloated but that may be from the tim tams…

As for me – I finally rang the nurses today about the pessaries and whether I should be taking them 12hrs apart or not. First rang RWH nurses – they said it doesn’t really matter. but that as I was a pte patient I should be ringing nurses at Moneymasons. As I had another q as well, I rang nurses at Moneymasons and they said yes – 12 hrs apart!! WTF!! Anyway, they said – oh have you made your appt for BT on Friday?? Whaa?? Told them that my paperwork said test was for Monday. She said it was ok to test on Friday, couple of days won’t matter! Well, excited as I am to find out sooner I am worried as I have a 1st birthday party on Saturday. I won’t be much in the mood for partying after a BFN.

Just wondering what clinics everyone is at (if willing to say) - I am at Melbourne Assisted Coneption Centre, and haven't come across many fellow patients on the net at all. I think this is because they only do GIFT and AIH (I think theyre a catholic hospital based or something) - but my Dr works both there and at Monash IVF.

Whats your commute like Cazz? I am in Melb west and commute 35-65mins (depending on traffic) each way, to Heidelberg.
I ahve often wondered if I should have gone with MIVF as they have a clinic closer to home, but went with a Dr recommendation. Hes great too (Dr Talbot), but its so far! I am really not used to such travel, I am still a country girl really!
