Question Looking for Clomid IUI information and other non-injectables IUI protocol options

After many IVF attempts with my husband, we have moved on to using donor sperm. Our most recent attempt was cancelled due to likely OHSS due to my PCOS. SO we are considerintimulated by clomid (injectables wouldnt work due to the PCOS).

I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with doing IUI this way (or alternatively if there are other IUI protocols. I cant do a natural cycle as I dont ovulate regularly - are there other drugs that can be used to induce ovulation? I'm a full bottle on IVF but have limited info on IUI!

    Thanks in advance :-)

I had IUI with clomid. I did not ovulate at all, just form cysts. I'm not sure what you want to know. You take tablets for a few days, your ovaries swell up and get very painful, a scan is done at a certain time to determine whether the folicles are big enough and once they are, they give you prefasi injection to get the eggs to release. Then two? days later they do the insemination if the thickness of lining of your uterus is enough for an egg to implant. Sorry, it was 4 years ago that I had this done so my memory might be a little off, but that is the basics of it. Let me know if there is anything else you need to know.
