Hi girls, just wondering if any of you have had a AMH (ovarian reserve test) done before? I had it done a year ago and mine was adequate. It was done at the time as my GP suspected premature menopause after ultrasounds and bloodtests after I went to her feeling fat and crappy. Was referred back to my OB/GYN who did more tests including the AMH test which came back as adequate and my other results for tests were put done to crappy hormones because of PCOS. I have been on the pill ever since to manage the hormones and when we want to conceive again will prob need to use clomid again. Anyway fast forward a year to now and I had thr test done again as I got sent a letter giving me a form for a free test as the previous test (worldwide) was giving false lows. Because mine was adequate last year I assumed mine would be the same or higher. It wasn't. It is considered low, Im sitting on the 20th% and my OB/GYN said it surprised him too as PCOS quite often bumps the test up too. He said its not catastrophic but something I need to consider. I already have an appoint booked in a month to see him as have been having pain in my ovaries, so will discuss more with him then. Just feeling down, so blessed to have 2 kiddies but wondering if my times up and scared I'm going to go through menopause early (I am only 30!). Anyone else have this test? what did it mean for you?
