I'm glad your DH is listening to you cos you dont want to go through ALL this and then not have the best chance possible. I would have been angry also. Well DH and I had our own "issues" before AI cos we had stopped trying last month just to have a break and the 1st time he used the "boys" was when he had to provide the sample for my AI and that means we hadnt dtd in over a month! Even though I said we should a few days earlier to keep everything fresh, the nurse told me the sample wasnt the best percentage wise but I just said "we only need one" what else could I say. I know he's sample would have been better had we bd 2-3 days before but what can you do. LIke you said us girls go through ALL the injections and uncomfortable business and boys get out of it heaps easier! ALL the best for tomorrow love and I'm sending you happy and tranquil vibes, make sure you have some Chamomile tea to destress you and just know all this is for something much much BETTER in the end. Thanks for the update I spoke with the nurse this morning and she said the same thing the progesterone hormone shots are whats doing this but hopefully its tricking my body into thinking its preggo and it does what its meant to for real! hahaha

i had the AI today and all went well. it was really not that painful just uncomfortable because of the speculum. Dh was besides me all the time holdinf my hand...so cute...he's not one of those romantic guys at all,so tht was bit of a shock for me...hehheee
and you know what, i do not have to take any injections now, i asked the nurse twice,u sure i dont have any more injections now???? she said i just need to contact her in two weeks if i dont get my periods.....woohooooo...no more BT for 2 weeks atleast,maybe heaps after that , who knows?
how are you going? do you still have cramping? i am officially into 2WW now ....the nurse said the semen sample was good. count and motility were very good,tht made DH very happy ! he's not had any alcohol for the last 3 months and also taking menevit....

I'm going well although this wait is sooooo long hahahahaha so strange that you dont have to do any more shots but thats a good thing! I have my last one today and a bt tomorrow to make sure I O'd this month which should be fine cos I always O.
You're going to think I'm nutty but one of the other girls in BB told me there's an old wife's tale that if you buy some baby booties you get utd. Yesterday I was at Myer and saw some on special and bought them, hopefully they're a good omen :) lol Anyhings worth a go right??!!! hahahaha Have a GREAT sunday, have you had any cramping?

i dont have any cramping, but it feels uncomfortable, i guess the right word is i just feel heavy down there like i've got a pebble or something stuck in my system...hahahhaaaaa...thts weird
but anyway doing my best not to think too much....without much luck !

I'm going well thanks, atleast today I had plenty of work to do and keep me busy away from the TWW.
My BT went well the nurse said i O'd perfectly so we'll soon see. I'm due for AF ( :pray: not) mid next wk, bb's are a little sore and have been a little funny with my tummy but not sure if its something
or if its just my bowels playing up.
Good to hear you have a few cramps ;) Good signs, any other signs??

good that you O'd properly....i am thinking why my clininc did not do the BT , but cant do much can i , i can only trust them ! they know better than me for sure !
it was a very busy day, its good, kept me occupied.
same signs here...bb's sore infact very sore today. bloated constipated dont know what exactly is going on......had cramps this morning the moment i got out of bed and thought omg how am i going to work with this...but everything was fine in about 20 mins.....dont know if these are good signs or it happens to everyone???? only time will tell......

I wouldnt worry too much re the BT I guess every FC does things differently and they would know.
I caved and did a POAS yesterday morning and got a faint line but I rang the nurse and she said the progesterone shot I gave to myself on Sunday would be in my system for atleast 5days so thats what gave me the pos result :( have to wait! ARGH! who thought 2wks could go SOOOO slow hahahahaha
Still have constipation, tender bb's but not too sore, not much cramping just here and there but not sure if thats due to the constipation. Had heaps of salad last night so hoping that'll help. Woke up with a massive headache this morning kind of like when AF is about to come but she's not due (hopefully for 9mths) for another week atleast so not sure...

Was sooo ready to tear up yesterday arvo cos was talking to a male colleague re his little girl (1yrs) and what she's up to and the inevitable q came up "so when are you guys going to start trying?" If only he knew we started 1 1/2 yrs ago!

i can totally understand when you say you were ready to tear up, i have gone thru that sooo many times and i hate people who ask others ' when r u planning'??? i swear i wud never ask that question to anyone in my life, you never know what the other person is going through. i was reading a book 'trying to conceive ' which has real stories of couples who have overcome infertility. one guy mentioned the same thing, unless you face infertility issues, you dont know how cruel that question can sound. i might have asked this same question to so many people before this,but now that we r going thru infertility i would never do it again !
anyway....symptoms.....bb's getting sore more sore, but tht happens to me every cycle,but its not this bad. constipation oh yes ...and having some cramps but like you said dont know if its due to constipation.but i was reading today, its NORMAL (???) to have constipation after IUI.....

Hi Ladies,
I have been diagnosed with PCOS and DH has swimmer issues too.
The FS suggested going straight to IUI, however I convinced him to let us try drugs first. He have us 4 cycles on Femara (similar to Clomid), but after 2 cycles I am already thinking FS might have been right and we should go straight to IUI.
The FS has given us the referrals to go and get all our blood tests done.
I was wondering if someone could give me a bit of insight into the process like:
How long to actually get started
how often do you need to visit the FS clinic
About how much $ with and without changes to medicare

this is my first cycle of IUI. i was very scared too, but its not too bad.
you'll need to go to the clinic 5- 6 times , but depends on which clinic you go to and how you respond to the drugs.
i think the medicare rebate is $600..
my DH has poor sperm morphology,FS suggested icsi but we decided to do IUI first.
what are the issues with your DH's sperm?

nellym - I had my first IUI cycle and am now in the TWW. Basically I paid $1070 out of pocket for the procedure. You start from around day 4 of your cycle (depending on the clinic) with some injections you do yourself (dont be scared its not painful at all and quite easy) then you get scheduled for a BT and U/S to see when you're about to O and how many eggies you have. Once you're close to O'ing you go for the IUI which is basically like getting a papsmear. First your DH has to give his sample (about 1 hour beforehand) to the clinic and then you go in and they insert the concentrated :sperm: in you.
I think I visited my FC about 4-5 times all up. I hope this helps :)
Miracle yeh I sometimes get some white discharge after I O but its a little darker then when I'm O'ing.
AFM - did a POAS today but BFN :( Might be too early I'm :pray: I will do another one this weekend. Have more cramping today so hoping AF stays away! How are you Miracle?

i am still getting the white discharge, i never got it in my usual cycles, so dont know what it is! rest is just the same, except having mood swings today which is really annoying, had a tough time at work ,just got upset on stupid matters. i am sure everyone is wondering whats wrong with her???? i hope this passes soon and hope dosen get worse. i havent tested and i dont think i will, i am just scared of seeing another BFN i guess......i will just wait until next thursday.
mia goodluck with your testing, yeah maybe its a bit early to test now......bring on the BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ohhh nooooo Mia.....tht's sad....i hope you feel better soon.
i havent tested yet ,and i dont have any symptoms as well so not too hopeful this time.i have to wait until thursday.
can i ask how many days after your trigger shot did you get your AF? have you contacted your nurse? can you start your next cycle straightaway???
