joeve: oh no, what was your progesterone level ? do you mean you have spotting and thats why you think af is coming ? could it be implantation ?
Ok girls I am out AF is here tonight shortest tww ever! I have never had AF this early... So stupid.
joeve: thats crazy what is going on, clomid is supposed to fix the luteal phase, doesn't make sense  for you
Minnie thanks I know I just don't get it, I know I didn't ov early because I was being monitored. Oh well I guess it's sooner to the next cycle. How are you feeling any signs?
Oh no Joeve  that sucks. What has the FS said? (if u have spoken)
Any news from anyone else? Symptoms? Poas? :)
AFM: Well my new pack of OPK's came in the mail today 4 days too late!! So I have gone 4 days without OPK's, could have ovulated, but don't think I have. Arrrgh! Plus we haven't been dtd unprotected because I keep getting a bacterial infection, but now I have a yeast infection anyway. Is my vagina trying to tell me something!!?
Yes Tasha it's telling you "stop this torture and bring on the IUI!" You poor thing.
Joeve - AF! No way - that's crazy. I'm so sorry :( Was this just an unusual, evil cycle for you or do you think you need to be on progesterone?
Not much action here - except I think I'm putting back on the weight I lost because I've stopped jogging in the 2ww and am using progesterone - blah  I'll probably POAS Friday.
Hi everyone else :hello:
joeve- sorry to hear AF showed her face early- stupid cow. That is strange being 5 days early- bugger.
hi everyone else x Really busy at work but will be having time off in a few days so will be back with proper persies then
Hi Lovelies,
Joeve - AF already!! Sounds like you need some prog support like many of us. So sorry the witch showed up instead of a BFP :wall:
Tasha - If I were you I'd be giving up on this cycle. What cd are you up to now? I'd have lost all patience. I'd get a bt to make sure I hadn't o'ed then get pills to bring on AF and get on with the bliss of IUI. I'm sorry money is adding to the stress. Do you know how much out of pocket you'll be from IUI? I've found there is a big difference in price from one clinic to the next up here. If you keep getting infections check out stuff about Candida (I think that's how you spell it). I'm not really sure what it is but it has been mentioned to me by several natural therapists and they have asked if I get a lot of infections (which I don't which is why I didn't pay so much attention) but they often mentioned it as being a key issue in fertility.
Saffy - How's the jabbing going? Sorry work is crazy busy, few days off will be nice for you.
Mich - I hate the 2 week on 2 week off diet/exercise thing I think I actually end up weighing more but it is so hard to stick to it in the TWW.
Minnie - Hi.
AFM - TWW has been easy so far. I think I am so convinced that nothing can possibly implant when I haven't had a proper AF lining shedding in 3-4 months that I totally don't expect to be UTD! Because of this I am in 2 minds about whether to go straight into IUI, I'd much rather start knowing I have a proper fresh lining in place. But at the same time I don't want to do a cycle in March as I don't ever want to be 6-7 weeks pg on Anzac Day again (mc on Anzac Day in 08 and 09) so I'll be taking that cycle off anyway and hopefully FS can then give me something to make sure the lining sheds. But then is the Feb one just a waste of money?!!:shakehead:
Lesson for this month girls - do not whinge about length of tww or nasty old AF will come early to shut you up
Hi girls,
Joeve I won't whinge about my TWW :noaf: not much chance of AF coming early to me as monday's prog was 57 at 5dpo!
Sunbeam wow!!! That could definitely be a great sign! Woohoo!!
Sunbeam - sounds promising! :)
Mich - You know what motivates me? At the gym they have huge TV's on the wall and most of them play channel V music videos, just seeing those beautiful, toned, thin girls makes me sweat it out even more!! "lol"
Hi Minnie, Joeve and Saffy :)
AFM: DH and I had our counselling appointment yesterday. I have another appointment with my FS in 2 weeks and I will be meeting the nurses for the IUI. I'm assuming FS will give me provera or something similar to bring on AF and then I can start the drugs, YAY :) So hopefully we can get this show on the road by the end of the month!
:
Well I am having a bit of a bad day today, I just went feral at DH ooops...... anyway he will get over it I guess.
I will be without my japtop until next Tuesday and it would be fabulous if someone would look after our lovely action packed list while I am away. I will be here on my phone but I find it hard doing the list from the phone? Any takers?
Sunbeam - that's a tough decision to make but maybe you won't have to :crossfingers: If this month isn't the one, would you be able to hold out until April? Wow that prog result is impressive, is that natural or on pessaries etc?
Saffy - I hope being busy keeps your mind off all the jabbing and waiting for things to happen!
Tasha - Yay, I'm so glad something's finally happening for you. You get the prize for patience!!! Your gym motivation made me laugh. I kind of find The Biggest Loser motivating actually, ha ha
Minnie - how's the 2ww? There should be lots of POAS action coming up with three of us only a day apart each!
Joeve - I'm so sorry you had a bad day- I'm sure DH will bounce back ;) Hopefully he understands why with your surprise unwelcome visit from AF  I'm happy to do the list while your away - unless anyone else wants to?
I'm plodding along, work is really busy so I can't obsess over the 2ww during the day :) Does the progesterone make anyone else really hungry? I've noticed it before but even more so now I'm counting calories and trying not to give in!!
Mich thanks for offering to do the list please feel free to make it pretty if you want to :). Any symptoms this morning?
:bluedust:The List :pink-babydust:
:egg:Waiting for O
Joeve - CD 3 clomid
Saffy - CD 9 stimming has begun!
Tasha - CD 51 - FS in 2 wks
:2ww:Hoping and praying
Minnie - 7 DPO
Sunbeam - 8 DPO
Mich8 - 9 DPO - IUI - BT 5/2
I love the pictures on your list Joeve - so cute - so just kept it. Please let me know if I've made any mistakes or missed anything everyone!
I have no symptoms today. I had a little bit of cramping the last 2 days but often do. It might just be AF and the progesterone fighting for domination!
How's the high dose of clomid going Joeve? Any symptoms Minnie and Sunbeam?
Tasha - I'm so gald something is finally going to happen for you. IUI will seem like a breeze after waiting so long to O all the time.
Mich - No that is a peserie assisted prog count not that good by myself. The midwife was impressed by the number and said she'd cross her fingers for me which Kind of gave me a bit of hope for an hour or so but I'm back to total doubt now. No symptoms that are not caused by the prog. I don't think I've ever noticed it make me hungry, well done for not giving into it though. Are you going to test before your bt?
AFM - I watched a show last night about a guy who lived on juices for 60 days to get himself healthy (he had a life threatening illness and was on a lot of pills) and it was quite impressive. I think if this is not a successful cycle I might give it a go but only for 3 days or so. I started a bit of a health kick this month and have cut out all gluten, sugar, alcohol and junk food for the whole of Feb. I have now been 4 days without chocolate and have not even thought about it. The gluten is not to bad been trying tho do that for a while but it was so hard to find foods in the supermarket that do not list sugar as an ingredient! Going to have a smoothy now, yum.
The list looks great, thanks Joeve and Mich for managing it for us :D
I think I mentioned a few weeks ago about a client who has 2 young kids and she mentioned that she is 51. I had to ask her and she told me she married late had IVF at 45 got 5 eggs which made 3 embryos that fresh cycle produced her daughter who is 5 and she then did a FET at 48 and got her son who is 2. Let hope it does not take us that long but good on her.
hi girls,
joeve: im sure your DH understands if you were a bit snappy with him
Tasha: im sure sunbeam is right, iui will be so much better with closer monitoring and no more guesswork
sunbeam: good luck with the new eating plan, i couldn't cut out sugar lol good news on the progesterone result too, fingers crossed for you
saffy: good luck with your scan
mich: nothing much happening here, sore boobs & a bit crampy but all progesterone related, will you (have you already) test ?
afm: well i had my ivf appointment on monday, the short story is the dr organised for me to start a long cycle this weekend but on the way home i noticed they begin the long cycle with nasal spray day 22 and because we tried this cycle we wouldn't know if i was pregnant by then, so we have changed plans and i will have a pregnancy blood test next monday and then if negative will stop the progesterone and start a short cycle with injections from day 2 of my period. i hope it will work out ok, i didn't know whether to just stop the progesterone now and end this cycle to do the long one but we have committed to this cycle and i will wait and see
Ah Minnie, nothing's ever simple is it? It's exciting that things are happening though!
Sunbeam - love those inspirational stories :) Good luck with "no fun February" and getting healthy!
No I haven't tested yet. I'm not even that enthused to POAS tomorrow but will do anyway - I'm a slave to routine!
Mich, good luck for tomorrow, come on the BFPs we know you are hiding somewhere.:cheer:
"No fun Feb." I like it  It's been so easy so far I thought I'd really struggle with out chocolate but I have not missed it. Maybe its true when you are not having sugar you do not crave it! Feeling good too. Buying a juicer tomorrow.
Mich just stalky stalky that is all :)
Sunbeam I have a good feeling about you.
Minnie don't give up this cycle I would hang out and if no bfp do the short ivf cycle. By the way what are the reasons for short v long?
Mich: good luck, I'll be checking in to see your update
Joeve: I'll be back later to answer your question
Hi Chicks,
I am finally on a weeks annual leave- yay! well I actually have 13 days off in total so will get my epu and transfer over before going back to work and have more time to post on BB
minnie- have you made a decision yet? It will be fine either way x Also when is claresmummy due?
mich-so did you decide to poas? Good luck if you do, is your BT on Sunday? :stickyvibesgirl:
sunbeam- I am on a diet too- the million kilo challenge with an ivf group from facebook- its great. Good luck with your health kick, cutting out sugar is great, you feel so much better for it! When are you testing??
joeve- have you taken your clomid yet? Keep me updated on any symptoms, I was scared to take 100mg but don't think 50mg was strong enough for me. Good luck!
Tasha-it feels like it takes forever wating for police checks etc doesn't it?? We are doing more police checks for DH's permanent residency visa application, it drives me round the bend, I have done more offical documentation in the last few years than in the rest of my life! I can't wait for you to get the show on the road x
afm -pretty hormonal from all the drugs, taking it out of DH as usual. Had a scan yesterday, it was ok, not bad, not good, but will probably have a smaller egg haul than the last two sims- spewing. So my egg pick up is next week, then transfer either Friday or Sunday- will be twwing after that- will anyone else be then? 3 of you may have gotton BFPs by then- hope so!!
Have a nice day everyone :D

Minnie - 8 DPO

Mich8 - 10 DPO - IUI - BT 5/2
Saffy, that's great timing so hopefully you'll be nice and relaxed for your BIG week next week! Exciting!
Thanks for stalking guys, so sweet!
But, BFN for me this morning. Sorry I couldn't lead the way with a positive this month :( I know logically it could be too early but really feel like its a BFN. I'm looking forward to FS appt on Monday and want to move onto bigger and better (or just different) things. I'll be devastated if he doesn't support IVF yet. Are there any reasons a FS would suggest sticking with IUI? I've done 10 timed intercourse cycles and 3 IUIs with the fertility centre and countless natural cycles.
Sorry that got a bit off track. Will you POAS this weekend Sunbeam and Minnie?
hi girls,
mich: sorry to hear you got a bfn but as you say its early days ? i'll probably test on monday, only 11dpo then and don't really need to test because im having a blood test tuesday. will you test again tomorrow ?
saffy: shame you didn't get more follicles but hopefully its a case of quality over quantity, fingers crossed for you. clairesmummy is 32 weeks now and going ok, she has gestational diabetes diagnosed early and is on quite a lot of insulin for it, hopefully she will be induced early
afm: so i have another dilemma, the clinic rang this morning and said im not immune to chicken pox, their advice is to talk to my gp about what to do, if i get a booster i can't do this cycle but i can't have the booster yet in case im pregnant or i can not do anything and just continue on with the planned ivf........gggrrrrr
welcome to ivf minnie...two steps forward, one step back!
Just continue on with the ivf, you can get it done later.
Hello ladies :hello:
Mich - sorry, but don't rule yourself out yet! You just never know what may happen.... By the way, what does timed intercourse involve?
Minnie - Sorry it's been such a stuff around. What if you didn't even need the IVF? Maybe stalling is a sign :)
Sunbeam and Saffy - Good luck with the diets girls! Saffy, exactly what minnie said - Quality over quantity!
Jo - Mich is doing a wonderful job of keeping the list hey? How are you?
AFM: Got my new car today!! Well it's second hand, but newer than my old one. My police check came back today, just gotta wait for DH's and then off to the FS Tuesday 14th, Valentines day  Ahh, spending valentines day with my 60something year old FS! I am going to ask if I can be slightly sedated for the procedure after what happened with the dye test! Anyone done that before?
Thanks for the support girls
Minnie - yeah i'll probably test tomorrow. I'll be stalking you Monday! I'm not immune to chicken pox either! - I'm not sure what you should do but please let me know if you get advice from your GP.
Tasha - I'm so glad things are looking relatively up for you with the "new" car and police clearance, yay :) Timed intercourse isn't as fun as it sounds! They probably have other names for it - it's just blood tests to determine when you're ovulating, then they call you and tell you when you have to dtd. I used letrozole and prog during them but you can pretty much do the same thing with OPKs.
I'll update tomorrow but I think it's over to you Sunbeam...
:pink-babydust: The List :bluedust:

Any POAS action Sunbeam?
I'm with you on the diets Saffy and Sunbeam. Overall I lost 3 kg in the last month  Another 8 or so to go tho, ha ha!
Mich: sorry it's a bfn, hopefully the blood test shows otherwise  I won't speak to my gp about the chicken pox cause I know what she will say (get it done). I'm not going to get it done for now, as my friend says you are no more likely to get it now you know your not immune as when u didn't know !
I agree with your friend minnie!

Mich - hope you get a nice surprise xx
Minnie - you are right, what are the chances? haven't seen a case of chicken pox in ages.
AFM: I have been doing random OPK's every couple of days even though I've pretty much ruled this cycle out. It's staying slightly darker than the control which is slightly darker than my usual line. I think maybe because this cycle is so long my hormones are playing havoc. My BFF's little girl is turning 1 in a couple of weeks and she is getting christened. I am the Godmother and I have been feeling a bit of anxiety over it all. Oh well, counting down till IUI :)
P.s Notice anything different? :p
Oh Tasha, I don't blame you for having anxiety :( Sounds like it will be one of those "put on a happy face, then have a cry later" kind of days?
Yes, I noticed - you and DH look HOT, ha ha! Puppies are gorgeous too :)
Spunks!
