Mich - You have NO idea!!! My mother thinks she is a doctor! She would not think to google anything because it would not tell her anything she didn't already know. You would not believe the c*#p she has come up with about what I should and shouldn't to to get pregnant! A selection of dos and don'ts have included...eating lots and lots of beetroot, not driving long distances, not doing acupuncture, herbs or anything not "medical", not keeping the cat biscuits in the kitchen, not letting my friend bury her poor dog in my garden and not doing pregnancy yoga. Each one had some random unfathomable reason to it, all quite beyond logic, but then that's my mum, bless her!
Hope you can join in the TWW soon.
Joeve - Bring on the LH lets get this egg party happening!
-
Bahahahahahahaha
That's hilarious Sunbeam. We mustn't be getting pregnant because of all the cat biscuits in the kitchen and dead dogs in the backyard!!! Mothers, gotta love em! Hope you got good results from your scan this morning :crossfingers:
-
Oh wow I knew it was the cat biscuits!!! Damn whiskers..... * throws cat biscuits outside on top of dogs grave*
Hee heee....
-
I told you she was special  bet no one elses mum is giving such priceless advice!
Well my egg is on permanent leave this month! My follie has only grown 2mm in a week so it looks like its a dud. I'll know more when my bt results are back this arvo but unless its the worlds slowest growing follie it looks like I'm out for this cycle :wall:. Still I shouldn't complain this'll be my first anovulatory cycle in over 18 months so not bad for me. If my bt shows no hope I have 2 options, I can play out the cycle which will probably (based on past history) run to cd46 or as FS is suggesting I go on the bcp for 3 weeks to shut down all the follies and then start my IUI cycle. Its only a difference of 3 or 4 days also I can take dufaston to ensure I have a lining shedding af which will give me much more peace of mind going into my next cycle so I'm thinking that's the way I'll go. I've been reluctant to take bcp in the past as the last time I came off it (1999) it took 10 months for af to show up again but if af is being brought on by pills too I guess I don't have to worry about this.
With 4 weeks with no TTC I have absolutely no excuse not to diet and exercise my butt off (literally!), but only after this weekend on the drink with my bestie up the sunny coast.
Joeve and Mich its over to you for this month, show us how its done girls ;)
Sorry about the ramble. Thank goodness the sunshine is back to lift my spirits. I'm off to plant heaps of flowers in my neglected old veggie patch (inspiration from Minnie )
-
Hang on a minute we have cat biscuits in the laundry (right next to the kitchen), maybe your mum is onto something sunbeam lol
-
Hi girls I'm back,
persies will have to wait for a few days as I have to race ot work, but
Sunbeam- that sux about not Oing but I don't think you will have the same problem on the pill this time, I would go for it! I have had weeks to get fit and healthy but instead i have been slobbing around eating and drinking and sunbaking- naughty hey! Oh well, the joke will be on me when i can't fit into any of my clothes!!
Hi everyone else, will cathc up on previous posts soon xx
ps I'm on the pill until Sunday then my cycle starts- scary!!
-
Ok girls I had my first bt on clomid cd 10 and this is what I got fsh 5.4 LH 4.3 prog 1.1.
What does this mean?? Good or bad?
Haven't spoken to fs yet just told to get more bt done yesterday results to come..
Ps welcome back Saffy we missed you x
-
Sunbeam - oh no so sorry about your eggie  Even if it only happens every 18 mths its still annoying! You're allowed to complain.
Saffy - welcome back from your little holiday in "normalville". What's it like there? Ha ha. Sometimes eating, drinking and being merry can be just as good for your health as diet and exercise - I'm sticking by that!! Yay, I'm excited to start following your next cycle Sunday! :crossfingers:
Joeve - Well I don't know anything about what clomid does to blood hormone levels, but in terms of normal levels I think yours look good :) Prog looks normal for pre ovulation, LH looks normal for pre-surge and I think FSH under 10 is good? Please feel free to correct me people!! I usually just get told estrogen and LH.
-
Just a quickie.
Hi Saffy good to see you sweetie. I will definitely be eating and drinking and having a merry time this weekend while I'm away, we'll see how I feel on monday heheeh.
Joeve - I don't know much about levels but I'm sure its on the net somewhere. When do you get to talk to FS?
AFM - FS has siad my hormone levels match having a follie of 13mm so I can carry on and see what happens or just quit this one and start the bcp. My feeling is if it is so slow maybe its not right and I should just cut my losses rather than dragging it out. I think that is what I'll do I'd rather not risk trying with a not great egg and possibly ending up with a not great embryo. This is sooo not how I expected today to go, just when you think you have this stuff down pat it proves you wrong, again!!!
-
Sunbeam it's hard to know what to do. A month of eating and drinking and not ttc sounds good! Ready for a bumper follie next month!
Fs for u/s tomorrow afternoon hopefully will know know more then.
-
Sunbeam - sorry about the crappy follie. I think my egg is MIA with yours  Have a fantastic relaxing time (jealous!)
Minnie - Glad you have decided what's next on the agenda, good luck with it all, your FS sounds good too.
Joeve - Don't know much about prog before ovulation. I used to get day 21 prog tests and mine were always between 100-200! I think that was a bit weird though, normal, but not too common.
Saffy - sounds devine!! Good luck with the new cycle :)
Mich8 - Yes in VIC you need police checks, child protection checks and counselling!! How are you travelling so far?
AFM: Yep, you guessed it, still no O!! My opk's are getting slightly darker so maybe soon I hope. I'm not too fussed because the next cycle will hopefully be the IUI :)
-
Back again. I'm sorry if you are over hearing about my egg drama today I feel like its been "all about me" today, but its not over yet!!!
I have had strong o pains for the last 3 hours so I called my FS's midwife to ask if that is normal if nothing is happening and she said it could be but why not come in for one more bt tomorrow so we know for sure. I felt so much happier at this idea cos there was very loud voice in my head going "its not over yet, just wait". So at least this way I'll feel like it is an informed decision not just a 'pick one' kind of choice.
Joeve - Good luck for tomorrow's scan I hope your follie is big and fat and ready to go. :crossfingers:
Minnie - No my mum is not onto something she is just crazy!
Tasha - I'm sorry your eggie is playing games too, could they be more frustrating?
-
Sunbeam yay for the pain hope one of those eggies is fighting its way to be big and strong!!
Tash yay for the line getting slightly darker, come on eggie!
-
Today's bt showed my Eostrogen is rising slowly so I will go back to the OPKs and see if I eventually get to O. I'll go for another bt monday to see what is happening.........and so it continues!!!
-
Ugh Sunbeam waiting is the worst! At least there's still a chance for you this cycle :) I hope this in no way interferes with your girls weekend - yay for getting crazy and being carefree!!
C'mon Tasha's eggie - you can do it! :cheer:
I've lost track of my cycle day (for now - won't last :p)
-
Sunbeam Come on eggie!!!
Mich love that you have no idea about what day you are at!!!
Fs appointment in 2 hours. More to be revealed.
-
hi girls,
saffy: welcome back, good luck with the start of your cycle :-)
sunbeam: come on little egg, get moving and grow big !
tasha: what did today's opt say ?
joeve: what did your fs have to say ?
mich: good for you being relaxed about the cycle so far
afm: no news, just killing time until the ivf appointment
-
Hi all, I hope you're all having good weekends :) We had our first skinnydip in our pool since moving in here last night! We'd been previously deterred by the two storey houses surrounding our little house but it was so hot last night we just went for it! Ha ha ;)
I'm feeling kind of jealous of Sunbeam on her mini holiday :D ha ha, hope you're having a blast. And hope that your egg keeps growing but doesn't pop til you're back!
Joeve and Tasha - any O news?
Minnie - what date's your FS appointment about IVF? There's always got to be a count down to something, ha ha!
Saffy - not long til the action starts, oooh!
AFM - CD 10 - I'm back on track (the relaxed attitude lasted about 2 days  ). BT showed estrogen's rising, OPK line is pretty light today, next BT Monday. Boring!
-
Mich go you!! Love it and yay to ov impending...
Minnie thinking of you lots :) hope you are ok
Tasha anything happening for you?
Sunbeam thinking of you too
Fs said lining was great 9mm I think and I had on Thursday a 18mm follie on left side. Opk was borderline pos yesterday but def positive today so DH kindly obliged and we have 1x bd under our belt as of this afternoon lol
I have had tonnes of ewcm this month which is surprising as most things I have read say clomid can reduce it... But happy with it nevertheless!
-
Yay for O Joeve - you can lead the way again this month:) EWCM is always a positive sign!
My OPK is almost positive already!! Feeling a little bit guilty for those who have to wait and wait :(
It always kind of comes out of nowhere and I wasn't scheduled for a BT today. I have a feeling I may get another one of those calls after tomorrow's BT telling us to come in for IUI immediately. I'll never complain about ovulating early but I wonder if I'm popping out good eggs or not?
Hope everyone's having a great weekend!
-
Yay for the positive OPK! Get busy in the mean time just incase! What cd are you?
-
Thanks Joeve! Is tomorrow day 1 of the 2ww for you?
I'm CD 11 today. I'm in two minds about dtd before IUI. A couple of the nurses have told us to abstain for 2 days before the IUI to get optimal sperm count and a couple of others have said to go for it?!?
Any thoughts?
-
Mich- I don't know which is the best way to go re DTD, sorry, but about ovulating early, I always do, about CD11-12. I have gotton pregnant naturally twice while ovulating then so I don't think there is anything wrong with it and whenver i have scans my lining is always good so don't worry about being an early ovulate, it means less hanging around:D
Hi everyone else, I had my last pill today- woohoo!, on nightshift for a couple of nights so AF should make an appearance then its onto jabbing my heart out!! Scary.
Hope everyone had a good weekend xx
-
Joeve and Mich, well done on the ovulating :) FX for you guys :)
Saffy, woohoo for last pill. Good luck with the jabbing
AFM: Well I had a positive OPK at work today at about 1:30pm, but the strip didn't look right as it was soaking up the pee. I've watched it that many times I know what it should look like before it gives you the result and it was slightly different, like it was having trouble travelling up the strip. I was excited, but I have just done another test tonight at 7pm and it is negative :( And I ALWAYS have at least 2 days of positives. Maybe it was a faulty OPK? But I also did have some pains this afternoon at work. So I don't know.....
-
Ooh Saffy, last pill! Glad to hear about the early ovulation. I've never had a scan so don't really know what's going on in there!
Tasha - that sux about the confusing OPK, that's the last thing you need! Is there any way you can get a blood test?
Well, I think I jinxed myself on the ovulating thing. My 2nd line on the OPK was almost but not positive around midday but now is really light again :dunno: Guess I'll see what the bt says tomorrow and just keep on peeing!!
-
Damn OPK's giving us the stuff around! Why? Why so cruel!? I have been waiting 40 days and then this happens. I tried to explain to DH how it feels. I said to him 'Imagine your waiting on a package in the mail, you check the mail EVERYDAY for 40 days, just waiting for your package" It was the only way I could get him to understand
-
Hee hee come on mail man with the egg delivery!! Love it!
Hope you are dtd just incase ;)
-
Hi Lovelies,
Wow it got busy in here quick. What's with all the long cycles and OPKs coming and going, there must be some crazy in the cosmos!!
Tasha - You will so not know yourself when you move to IUI and O by cd14, it is soooo much better ;). I hope this cycle gets its bum in gear for you soon you must be keeping the OPK company in business!
Saffy - I hope AF comes and goes promptly so you can get on with growing some awesome follies :D
Joeve - Yay for a fantastic follie, great lining and awesome EWCM, the fertility trifecta
Mich - I hope your OPK comes back strong today . I was told to hold off before IUI but go for your life afterwards but then my donor had very low count so I guess it depends.
Hey Minnie :hello:
AFM - Well the voice in my head was right about not quitting. I had a positive OPK last night and again this morning. I can't believe 5 days ago I was about to start the pill thinking this cycle was a dud and tomorrow I will be in the TWW . I did an insem last night and we'll do one again this evening. The O pains have been very painful on and off to the point I've needed a panadol or 2, ouchy!. CD27 today!! I had a pg from a cd25 O so I'm not worried about it being so late just glad it did happen. Looks like I'll have a few TWW buddies after all :D
I had a great weekend away, ate, drank, swam, paddled, flew my stunt kite, went to the RSL and bet on horses with silly names, chilled out and watched movies, perfect.
-
Sunbeam - your weekend sounds like absolute bliss! Good work eggie for finally co-operating!
Tasha - that's a brilliant way to describe the frustration of what you're going through to your DH. I think all the little details of the ttc business are quite abstract and men do much better with concrete (simple :nahnah:) things. I'll have to remember that one in future!
My bt showed I'm not surging yet but should soon. :) Estrogen is over 1000 which is really good for me. My peak's usually in the 700s. So, another bt tomorrow (took the girl 3 attempts on 2 arms to get the vein today- fun times, ha ha!)
-
Sunbeam, that's fantastic. Good luck :)
Mich, ouch! I had that a few times, not fun :( That's great news about the oestrogen though.
Hi everyone else :hello:
AFM: Still negatives for me. Im sure that was a false positive, I usually have sore nipples after O and they are fine today. Plus the bank called me today to tell me that they have denied our personal loan :( We already have one but wanted to borrow more for a newer car and even though our circumstances haven't changed, they denied it. Feel like absolute crud :(
-
oh no Tasha, thats bad news, I'm sorry the bank are being jerks, greedy things.
I was just looking over costs for this stim cycle which i have to pay in a few days- ouch. Feel sick about that money.
I am planning my 40th birthday ( its in June but need something to look forward to), we are probably going to go to Hamilton Island- I'm excited already, beter start doing some extra shifts though, after forkng out so much for ivf this year already!
Good luck everyone with BTs, Oing, IUI and twws- whatever everyone is up to!
-
Mich yay for hormones going up!
Tasha sorry the opks aren't doing behaving for you.. And massive poo poo to the bank ;(
Saffy yay for your holiday plans! Sounds great!
I have some twinges on the left side where the follie came from I can't talk DH into dtd he just looked at me like it's not going to happen.... Hope yesterday and the day before was enough :(
-
Tasha - I'm sorry the bank would not come to the party, does not bare thinking about how much money this has cost us all so far. :shakehead:
Saffy - I hope you don't have to spend to much more to get your forever bub. Hamilton Island will be an awesome place to have your 40th.
Mich - I hope today's bt says the eggie is on its way, I hope your veins are more cooperative too, I have the same problem, tricky little things.
Joeve - I don't get it I used to think guys just couldn't get enough but I now know better than to ask them to perform more than 2 days in a row! Let hope we both got plenty of little swimmers in. Did you get anymore O pains?
AFM - Bit confused today. My O pains stopped about 7 pm last night but no rise in temp this morning. If it is not up by tomorrow morning I'm going to have to assume that even after 27 days of working up to it my follie never actually popped! :wall: Going to see a psychic this arvo maybe she'll know what the hell is going on cos I sure don't!!
-
Sunbeam hope the psychic tells you that you a group around you are getting babies this year!
-
Saffy - Hamilton Island is beautiful! We went there for our honeymoon, it was so relaxing and everywhere is so clean and tidy. And be sure to hire the buggies, they are great fun!
Joeve - My DH does the same thing, you can't bloody win! I'm sure it will be enough :)
Sunbeam - Oh I hope that is not the case. FX for temp rise.
AFM: Well my OPK's are slowly getting darker. I always have the second line, but then it goes really really dark when I do O, it doesn't usually build up like this. I have applied for a loan with another bank and it's basically been approved, just gotta bring in the documentation! Yay :)
-
ask the psychic where my AF is too please, she is mia and I want to start jabbing asap, typical AF behaviour grrrr
-
What is with this month? Nothing is going as planned with missing eggs, AFs and DHs everywhere!!
I hope everything resolves for all really soon.
My OPK was very positive last night so I'm expecting a call to go in for IUI this arvo... BUT my partner has done his back and is on the couch barely able to move. So I don't know if it's going to happen!?!
-
-
Mich no way! I can't believe the terrible luck we all have! I had a kidney infection ( like a uti but peeing blood and no burning) so dtd for us was limited to sat and sun instead of thurs, fri, sat Sunday. I don't think even 1 of us has had an incident free month!
-
OMG it is getting worse it is like we are all jinxed this month!!!
Tasha - That is great news about the loan that must be a weight lifted off you.
Saffy - Sorry she didn't mention your missing AF but I bet she is off hiding with all your missing eggies!
Mich - You poor thing what shocking timing. I say give DH a major amount of pain killers and see how he goes. Do you live close enough to the clinic that he can do his part at home?
Joeve - You poor thing a kidney infection is no fun even without the burning.
AFM - So according to the psychic I'm going to have boy/girl twins...... when I'm 43!!!! Apparently I'll be going to Sydney or Melbourne for the procedure. She told me lots of other stuff too of course, I don't know how I feel about it, I'm not sure how much I connected with her. One interesting thing she said and at least one other psychic I've seen said the same thing is that I am going to write a kids book! Who knows!
