Saffy - CD 15 - ET 9/2
Tasha - CD 56 - FS 14/2
Waiting for AF
Minnie -
Sunbeam - CD 40
Hi all, we have no-one in the 2ww! Tho Saffy, you will be there very soon, yay!
Tasha - I wasn't sure whether to put you in waiting for O or waiting for AF?
I'm also not quite sure what to do this cycle. I don't want to use progesterone so might just sit it out. With my short LP I'll probably only have a 3 week cycle. It will just seem so weird actively avoiding ttc!!
Hi girls, just rang the lab and got 3 fertilised embryos, so fingers crossed I will have at least one frosty. Transfer tomorrow at 1.15 and started twice a day crinone, oh no no the crinone again, don't have good memories about it but if it helps i won't complain , well I will a bit I suppose lol.
Yep I will be flying solo in the tww tomorrow.
Mich I know what you mean, I was on the pill last month! I often think, at least once i have a baby, I will never have to worry about contraception again, thats a nice thought lol
Joeve - My lining has looked good on cd14 scans and the one I had on cd3 but my AF is soooo light I've no idea how my lining can be renewing.
Tasha - I've been given the Porvera to hopefully produce a heavier AF. I'm sorry your DH police check is taking so long and holding things up, I hope it gets done asap.
Saffy - Yay for 3 awesome embies, come on little bubs grow . I think a day 3 transfer is good the 5 day wait is too agonizing. Boo for Crinone that stuff is disgusting, you complain all you like . Don't be so convinced you won't have to worry about bc after you have a bub, do you know how many women fall pg naturally after IVF babies?!?!
Mich - Good on you for getting fit in your NTTC month.
Minnie - When does the sniffing start? I've never used that stuff is it nasty?
AFM - Day 2 of my juice fast and I feel fine, like totally normal! I was expecting something, belly ache, headache, dizziness, something, but no not a thing! I don't want to be running to the toilet 10 times a day or anything but at least a symptom or 2 so I knew it was working! I am juicing mostly fruit for my first juice of the day but then mostly veggies with a little fruit to help it taste good for the others. Maybe my week of no fun Feb helped prepare my body so the fasting has not been such a shock to the system.
Mich - I don't think I have ovulated yet, no symptoms what so ever So I guess I'm still waiting to O? How relaxing it will be to NTTC.
Joeve and Minnie - how are you ladies travelling?
AFM: I have booked in to meet the nurses for two weeks after my FS appointment. She worked it out that that's when i should start to have AF after taking provera, and then I can start jabbing So if all goes according to plan I should have an outcome by the end of March. Finally!
Saffy - yay, yay, yay - three yays for three fertilised eggies. Good luck tomorrow x
Tasha - ooh sounds like we might be starting the next cycle around the same time then Please be no hiccups!
Sunbeam - I'm trying to be inspired by you. Since AF is here, I came in the door from work and the first thing I had to do was eat chocolate!! Fun size tho It's not quite no fun Feb for me- just smaller portions of fun - ha ha.
Hi Joeve and Minnie
I am a serial lurker finally getting the courage to post! Trying to figure out which thread i fit into, sadly i think i fit in to too many on BB. This thread seems like a small and friendly one for a newbie to start off on?!
I have been TTC #1 for 5 years - tried naturopath & TCM in those positive early years which, while making me feel great, did not make me conceive. I have been doing IVF/ICSI for about 2 years now, with a number of hiccups along the way - as im sure you have all experienced. I have recently switched clinics and i am really hoping that i will get lucky this year. It is really hard to stay positive though as each year passes. Surely 2012 will be a fertile year for us all?!
Hi Andi and welcome, I hope you feel welcome here, we love having new faces, even if its sad that people are lttc with miscarraiges.
We have done a similar amount of ivf cycles, I just did my 4th stim, and am going for my 7th transfer today. I really hope your presence here gives you some good luck!
Hi everyone else, just leaving for my transfer, then will be jabbing with clexane and pregnyl, just when my tummy thought it was having a break from needles!
Will fill you in on how it went when i get back. I am struggling to summon up any positivity for this transfer, I know i should think positive etc, but its just not there, been in this situation too many times i think. Dh is stressing cos i have to go by myself, I don't even care, its become routine now. I need a kick up the backside or something!
Good luck today Saffy. It's understandable that you're not over the moon about the whole thing We'll be positive for you, thinking of you
Welcome Andie So sorry you have to be here, but since you do, the girls on this thread are fantastic!! I joined in Dec and my mental health is a 1000 times better Are you ttc right now? Would you like to go on our little list? You've probably also seen the LTTTC & Assisted Conception thread (which is really busy right now) and the Long Term Assisted Conception thread too - as you say, you fit it everywhere - unfortunately
I really hope 2012 is the year for you.
Minnie- No, the clinic haven't called with my chicken pox results but I was tested in 2010 and wasn't immune so I definitely know the result. Maybe they'll tell me at my nurses appointment on Tuesday - I keep kind of rehearsing what to say - ha ha, i'm an idiot
Andie: and welcome, you definitely joined the right list, everyone here is so lovely, sorry that you have already been through so much
Mich: aaww thats so sweet to hear your mental health has improved since "meeting" us. you crack me up about the chicken pox thing, you will have rehearsed it so much you will probably stuff it up so here is my advice, when they say you are not immune you say "yes i know thanks and i don't want the vaccination" and thats it, honestly they won't care once they have done their duty and drawn it to your attention
saffy: good luck today will be thinking of you, are you just having 1 put back in and are they day 2 embies ?
Andie - Hello and welcome I'm glad you chose to join us even though it is sad you are at this point. You are right this is a very supportive friendly thread I hope you feel comfortable here.
Saffy - I was thinking it was just about time for your transfer and wanted to send you positive vibes but I think I might be a bit late as I forgot about the time difference . Anyway I'm sending them now so I hope your little embie is making itself right at home. I don't think you need a kick up the bum you are being too hard on yourself, the only person round here that needs a kick up the bum is the baby fairy for being so slack about bringing us our bubs!! Rest up.
Joeve - Yes where does my lining go is my question exactly! no one seems to have a clue.
Tasha - The end or March you poor thing it is all taking so long. Enjoy your relaxing time not having to think about it.
Mich - Please don't stress about your appointment like Minnie said it is your choice they can't force you.
AFM - New Grey's Anatomy tonight *does her little happy dance*
Thank-you everyone for your warm welcomes, im not sure why i was too chicken to not join earlier...! Im not a facebooker/twitter person, so i think the online chat thing is just foreign to me, but im sure ill get the hang of it and be hassling you all in no time.
saffy - i hope your transfer went smoothly today. i was on clexane for my last transfer in december, they are a bit stingy but im sure it wont bother you after 4 stim cycles. im still a bit of a sook with the needles, but i have progressed to letting my husband do them now instead of going down to local gp's, or getting work colleagues to do them...! (i used to work in an office that had MCH nurses around). i was on the 40 dose, which i think is an average-ish dose? i am hearing you about the trying to stay positive thing, its really hard after so many years/transfers.
mich8 - i am waiting for my FS to get back from hol's to start a FET, have an appt with her next wednesday, feb 15th. i think i overdosed on stim cycles towards the end of last year (one in aug, oct & dec!) and have since had a couple of long cycles which is unusually for me (usually they are 29-32 days). one i waited for 47 days with no sign of it arriving, so FS gave me primolut (spelling?) to bring it on. the next was 37 days, and came natually. anyway, i have been happy to wait for FS and cycles to get back to normal before doing a FET. also, the credit card has appreciated the 2 months off too... happy to go on a list - but not sure if i qualify yet as not doing a cycle just yet?! ill let you decide.
afm - not much really! just waiting for FS appt next wed. will be good too catch up with FS as when i switched clinics was around when she left for hol's, so i had the initial scan with her, then saw another FS for further scans & epu, then another different FS for transfer - so will be good to review the stim cycle i have just done, find out embryo results (how many cells, fragmentation etc - i need to know all those little details...!). also this is the first cycle i have done where i split the fertalisation between IVF & ICSI. so will be good to find out how the IVF ones faired. i had 11 eggs collected (massive haul for me, highest previously was 6), 5 out of 5 fertalised with ICSI, and 2 out of 6 fertalised with IVF. so i guess it may be a sperm & egg issue for me? who knows.
hope you have all had a lovely day. thanks again for making me feel welcome, hope this post hasn't been too long. i will try and keep it short & sweet next time...!
