Hi girls, thanks for your thoughts,
the transfer was a saga ( the long essay about it is in the llttc/assisted conception thread) but to sum up it was postponed twice involving a lot of waiting and full and empty bladders, transfer went well of a 3 or 4 cell day 2 embie, probably no frostys unless one makes it to day 5, the other was chromosomally abnormal. And I am very depressed. Appreciate any positive thoughts as I can't find any from within xx
( so suinbeam you may have been right, the transfer was at 3.20 vic time!)
saffy, sorry to hear the transfer was less than comfortable for you. i can sympathise - at my last transfer the FS on duty (it was a weekend), went through 3 different sized/shaped speculums before he found one that 'fit'. it was embarrassing, not to mention uncomfortable. he even tried a children's one... like having 1 put in there is not humiliating and awkward enough! as for the positive thoughts - i will not say it just takes one, but the second time i got pregnant i was in a less than positive mindframe. i had just had my first miscarriage the month before and had no hope for the FET at all. no symptoms during the TWW either, and that FET resulted in a pregnancy. unfortunately lost at 7 weeks, but a pregnancy. so i guess if you are feeling negative, dont worry about it. you feel what you feel. and to be honest i believe feeling negative or positive does not affect the result in any way. yes, we would all love to be positive and happy with each cycle/FET - but thats just not realistic.
Saffy - I'm glad you are PUPO but so sorry it was such a stressful and difficult day As for the being positive thing I'm with Andie, I've been positive and negative and totally apathetic and none of it makes any difference, but yes probably my most negative cycle ever I did conceive. Hoping and praying your other little embie does well too. Huge hugs
- Saffy you must be exhausted, physically and emotionally! I'm so sad to hear you're depressed I think Andie and Sunbeam are right tho, our little embies couldn't care less if we're feeling positive or negative, joyful or depressed, they just do their thing or they don't either way!
-Minnie, you are so right! I'm sure I'll panic when they mention chicken pox and sound like an idiot! I will pledge to keep it simple! Any sign of AF?
-Andie, that's 3 of us with appointments on Tues and Wed next week (you're lucky you dodged Valentine's day ). I really hope this one leaves you feeling positive, you've been through so much! You'll have to go on the list somewhere, will work something out!
-Sunbeam - sick of juice yet? Ha ha. I think the universe is helping me on my health kick - I went to the tav at work with a friend today and was thinking f*** it, I'm having a beer, but the beer taps all had a "mechanical failure". Then I arrived home and my partner's sister had brought over her x-trainer for me to borrow. It's right in front of the tv so I have to use it
- Joeve - any OPK action yet?
- Tasha - 5 days til appointment Are you still using OPKs or have you thrown in the towel?
Saffy happy PUPO sorry you aren't feeling it x
Sunbeam maybe its like the dish and spoon my egg and your lining..."and the dish ran away with the spoon!
Mich I couldn't be bothered with the opks today...i just went nahhhh yesterday had nothing of a second line...i feel nothing except hot from the clomid!!!
Joeve - Would you usually get your egg by cd11? Maybe they did run away together and with Tasha's egg too. It has certainly been a cycle for things disappearing.
AFM - Juice fast update. Well since it has been so easy and since I have stuff left over I have decided to do one more day. I have lost 2 kg (the same 2kg I lost just after Christmas!) which I can promise is not just water or poop weight as there has not been any extra of either (sorry TMI). I think the mistake I made the first 2 days was not drinking enough water on top of all the juice so yesterday I drank 1.4L of water as well and that felt good. I guess what I'm thinking is that my usual diet can't be too bad if my body was so accepting of just living on juice.
Just out of interest this is what I got through in 3 days.
1 lettuce, 1 1/2 heads broccoli, 1 bag spinach, 1 bunch celery, 1 1/2kg carrots, 3 zucchini, 5 cucumbers, 1 1/2 mangoes, 3/4 rock melon, 4 oranges, 7 apples, 2 grapefruit, 1 small pineapple, 2 pears.
mich - thanks for adding me to the list . i am on cd 6, i will probably do opk's this month - if i remember to buy some. i know the chances are 0.000001%, but you have to give it a go i guess. come next week it will be busy in here with everyones appt updates, i have learnt a lot from everyone's posts about their cycles, drugs, FS's etc. hoping i can share some useful info too.
sunbeam - congrats on the 2kgs lost, that juice diet sounds very healthy! i have recently started on a high protein, no gluten/sugar/carbs diet, not for weight loss especially, but for health. i am a chocolate addict, so am craving the sugar part. i have switched to dark choc with high % of cacao, still getting used to it...!
tasha - hi, thanks for the welcome.
saffy - hope you are feeling a bit better this morning and are taking it easy today.
Hi girls,
I'm feeling much better today thanks-the pregnyl really makes you hormonal!
Joeve- hope this egg doesn't go missing, any opk action?
sunbeam- glad your juicing is going well, I'm eating heaps of veges on my diet and my toilet habits have completely stalled (sorry tmi) I would have thought the opposite!
andi-that sounds terrible with all the speculums- at least he was needing to go smaller not larger if you get my drift!
mich- I don't think the embies know either way whether we are thinking neg or pos- luckily!!
minnie- hi are you feeling better?
tasha- hi, thats an epic cycle you poor darl x
thanks for making me feel better about not being more positive girls!
Sunbeam - I can't believe that list of fruit and veg! I saw a doco once on the chimpanzee diet (where you eat like a chimp, not eat chimps!!). You sound like you're on the juice version of that! Apparently it's great for you. You do realise though, if you get a BFP next cycle, every one of us is going to be on the juice diet in no time!
Joeve - your egg had better hang around this time!
Andie - I'm sure you'll be able to give us so much help and advice on here with all you've been through (unfortunately). I modified the list and put you at CD6 When do you usually ovulate?
Saffy - I'm so glad you're feeling a bit better. Fingers crossed for you!!
AFM - very little to report here. DP is really excited about being able to jab me with needles soon (bit scary ) but doesn't want to come to the appointment where you learn how to jab!
lots of you have specialist appointments next week, i hope they help in moving you are forward and getting you those bfp's
saffy: sorry you have been so down, i don't blame you having little hope this cycle, i think part of that is trying to protect yourself in case it doesn't go well but i hope you are surprised ! did you get an update on your other embie today ? can i ask how they know the other embie had a chromosomal problem ?
joeve: you make me laugh with your lost egg, its like you left it at the supermarket when you were last there lol
hi to everyone
afm: still waiting for af, i was hoping she would come before today but she hasn't so now she needs to wait until at least tomorrow so im right to start injections monday
Minnie- it was fertilised by two sperm ( greedy b@stards lol) so had double the amount of chromosones- at that stage they can tell cos after fert there is meant to be 2 pro-nuclei and this one had 3. Its my understanding just by researching that this results in a partial molar pregnancy ( my close friend had one of these a few yrs ago), so obviously we won't be using it but they are letting it grow with the other just to see what it does. I have to ring next tues to see if the other made blasty.
Can't wait til you start injections!- I'm finding my tww more high maintenence than the stim- clexane, pregnyl and twice daily crinone plus all the other tablets, phew! Good luck with the jabs, they don't hurt the needle is really fine.
Andie - I'm a choc addict too and I have been totally suprised but since I gave up sugar I have not craved it once. I've not had one bit in 12 days!! I've never been more than a day or 2 without it for years. I did usually switch to the dark stuff when I'm on a diet I now find I prefer it.
Joeve - If you want any tips let me know, even thought I did not feel the big 'detox' effect I was expecting its good to know my body is now loaded with all those vitamins.
Saffy - My toilet habits did not change either i was expecting to need to be close to the bathroom at least for a few days and nothing. I drank the juice from a whole lettuce just to challenge it and na-da! That's it our poop has run off with my lining and the missing eggs and the spoon, gross!!! Sorry just missed your post while I was writing I didn't know 2 sperm could even get in I thought the egg blocked any others once it fertilised, interesting!
Mich - I want to do a chimpanzee diet but I can never find any in the supermarket So your DP is a sadist, did you know this when you got together, I'd be scared!?! I'd make sure you jab him once first just so he knows how it feels, mean man!
Minnie - There's not a smiley for 'AF please come tomorrow' (or any other day for that matter) but I liked this one, no idea what it means . She should be here soon she's not usually late is she?
AFM - I ate dinner tonight, just a little potato and avo. the juice thing was good and way easier than I expected I think I could do it for ages except it gets boring. I'm thinking of doing juices for breakfasts at least several mornings each week.
sunbeam- they are meant to but I think geriatric eggs such as mine get a bit confused poor things! On another note, I think I am going to start taking some metamucil or something, its getting ridiculous. My diet is on hold this afternoon as I'm going to high tea at a posh hotel for my friend's hens do- yum!
