thanks for indulging my whinge yesterday, i am feeling a bit better and have been shopping at ikea today - i love that place...!
minnie - hope your jab went ok & your little one recovers quickly. i guess you probably didnt have time to even stress about the jab with all that was going on.
mich - no, generally dont find FET's physically difficult (just the last one!). will be checking for your appt news today - hope it went well.
tasha - bugger your appt didnt go too well, the waiting drives you insane. i sometimes think the FS's forget how much time we spend waiting, to them 2-3 months is nothing when to us its 2-3 months that we could be doing something productive! hope everything clears up quickly and you can get started asap. btw, my dh is not a fan of the BT's either (he has only had like 3 in 5 years!), but goes completely white & dizzy, has to sit down for about 5 mintues after its finished.
joeve - well done to you, guilt trip works every time! fingers crossed the sperm feel guilty too and you have a super ovulation & fertalisation this month.
saffy - the bloated tummy always feels like a kick in the guts to me, its what i really want to look like - but bc of a baby, not bc of ivf drugs! hope the bloat is not too uncomfortable for you. sorry to hear about your blastie. are you waiting for your BT, or will you test beforehand?
sunbeam - maybe you could do a tracking cycle, see what the hormones are up to these days? im not familiar with endo, although it was interesting to read the post from keta. i didnt know you could have it and not get painful periods/pain during sex etc. hoping that you have had more 'flow' this afternoon to put your mind at ease.
afm - not much. appt tomoz, will let you know how i go.
mich - posted at the exact same time, & oddly with similar comments! glad to hear you're all set to go, it will be march in no time so enjoy your cycle off! happy valentines day to you also, hope you have a nice relaxing night.
Tasha- I'm with mich- you must have the patience of a saint! I would be pinning my DH to the floor with a needle and syringe and taking the blood myself!! How annoying, can they get some emla cream for him ( it makes the area go numb before taking blood, kids use it lol). And no, you are NOT waiting another 3 months!!!!!
Sneaking in with a special message for Tasha....Well, it's a message for Tasha's DP....
SUCK IT UP PRINCESS. Your gorgeous partner is about to become a human pin cushion to give you a child. One little blood test is NOTHING. Hear me? NOTHING!!! Don't make Saffy and I come down there and do it the hard way. Because we will. And there will be NO emla cream from me!!! So, grab a cup of concrete and harden the frig up. Your child is waiting to be born....
There, I feel better now.
gorgeous women x
Sneaking out....
PS. do you think I could be a nurse??

N2L, I nearly wet myself laughing at your post! And you would be an AWESOME nurse!
Thanks ladies, I just showed him a few posts He is going in this week when he gets an early finish or I just may have to drug him and drive him down there, he he.
Excellent we have shamed him into going to get it done yay!!!
Serious question- if you had a bt today and your vein was puffy with bright purple under the skin would you freak out??? I have talked myself out of thinking it can kill me but still it's nasty and given the amount of blood tests I have had I know it's not normal..
how big? I have had massive bruises from bts. Its probably bled under the skin, I don't think its anything to worry abou but go back to path place tomorrow and show them if you can.
Hey Joeve,
I've had that bright purple thing only once after a blood test, but not the puffy thing. It was really sore, looked bad and took over a week to go away - but it was fine. Did your bt hurt today?
Saffy - I am so sorry your little embie didn't make it that sucks! You are right our luck has not improved with a new year Having sympathy bloating for you right now too, I look like I'm due soon!
Keta - Thank you so much for that info. I will definitely be pushing for a full investigation next cycle.
Mich - I'm glad your appt went well and you are all set to go after a nice little break
Andie - We have been tracking my cycle the last couple of months and nothing abnormal has shown up, not sure if it would or not with endo but my feeling is they need to get in there and have a look. Good luck for tomorrows appt. No idea how Ikea can make you feel better that place terrifies me bc I'm so totally claustrophobic and there are no windows. I made it all the way though once and was in the line for the check out and still had to run out before I bought my stuff because I was having a panic attack!! Scary scary place
Tasha - I'm glad the glad the girls were able to bully DH into getting his bt hehe girl power!!
Joeve - No idea on the vein bump but it can't hurt to get it checked.
Minnie - I hope you and your little ones get a good nights rest tonight.
AFM - Well the clinic called back but I was in the middle of a client session so I am none the wiser until tomorrow but she did say she'd had a long chat with FS and he has decided what we should do this cycle. Please don't let him cancel this one, it is next month I want off (so that I've no chance of being pg on Anzac Day). It would work out perfect next cycle not this one!!! I feel af has been good enough to give it a go this time. I hope I can talk him round.
Thanks everyone the vein has flattened down and I have a massive nasty bruise and some dark red as well... Should put that arm out of action for bt for a while!!!
Mich loving the list there is lots going on in here
Sunbeam yep sure does suck with no choc x
Joeve - I'm glad your arm is a bit better but ouch on the bruise! Did you get the results?
Mich - List is looking great it is so good to know where people are up to. Can we please add if people are on IUI or IVF cycles too Are you still BDing this cycle or sitting it out completely?
AFM - Today's bloods were all good I just did my first jab. FS agrees if this cycle is not successful we will do a lap and D&C next month. AF is still going shock horror! It is slow and brown but it is still there, 48 hours and counting
joeve - ouch, that sounds painful. that bruising takes ages to go away too.
sunbeam - hope you and your FS have made a plan that you're happy with for this cycle. (surely a square or two of choccy couldnt hurt?!)
mich - im with joeve, the list looks great and really helps me to a) remember everyones name! b) remember what everyone is up to. thanks.
hi to everyone else.
afm - appt went well, i think. wanted to ask your opinions if you dont mind sharing - we have 6 day 2 embies on ice & our FS wants to thaw 3 out at a time, try and grow to blasties, transfer the best one & freeze the other two if they are any good. the 6 embies are of good quality, but realistically i know all 6 wont survive the thaw and grow to blasties. previously i have had only day 2/3 embies transferred, and FS wants to try something new as i have miscarriaged twice with 2/3 day embies. i get that each clinic operates differently, just wondered if you ladies had any thoughts/advice? i guess im just worried of losing embies during thaw, freeze & thaw again process - if we get that far.
Andie sorry I really don't know anything about ivf. However, does that mean they thaw and then potentially refreeze them?
Sunbeam yes looks like ov is imminent so more action at our place tonight after our family dinner at the relos!
joeve - yep, FS said they would refreeze any good ones. not sure how they will go though being thawed, grown, potentially frozen & then thawed again! i have been brave and posted in the ltttc thread too, so perhaps the ladies in there have done something similar and can share their experiences. goodluck for tonight!
