Very bad news I'm afraid girls.
Only one follie had grown so the cycle was cancelled. Just as upsetting was the fact that GED's AMH test came back at less than 1 indicating she will likely go through menopause in the next 3-5 years. She turned 23 on wednesday!
Still both in a state of shock.

    Hi Girls,
I'm not sue if i am still just in shock about what happened with GED but I feel sort of wierd.
Donor daddy has drawn a line in the sand as far as him not wanting to try using another ED. Our other option is IVF with PGD which he is happy to go ahead with. I just don't know. Part of how I got my head around using an ED was to convince myslef that my eggs were no good. I don't know how to have faith in them now. I have booked a session with the clinic counsellor but I can't get in to see her till next week. I don't think it is just the money though $5000-$6000 out of pocket for potentially nothing does feel like a huge gamble but I think there is something else holding me back and I'm just not sure what that is. Generally if I felt like this I'd take a break but my eggs are not getting any younger and I'm worried Donor daddy might lose all interest if I wait too long.
    Any words of wisdom?

Sunbeam hugs big decisions. Go with your own feelings. If you don't think you can do it don't, if you think you may regret not doing it do it.
If I was you... I would try myself one more time, no regrets, no what ifs xx

i agree with Joeve, give it one more go, lucky last.
Sorry it has come to this hun, you must b so confused, I think it is a great idea to talk to the counsellor and see if they can help you sort out your feelings.

sorry you're feeling a bit unsure, sunbeam. there's a lot to think about for you atm.
maybe you just need a month to come up with a revised plan, talking with your clinic counsellor should help clarify how you feel about things too. if you decided to give it another shot with your eggs, could you take some extra stuff to boost the quality of your eggs? (dhea etc). just ignore me if you have already tried this... my memory is not great.
i do agree with saffy & joeve... if you're up to it - give it one last go. xx

    Hi Girls,
I'm finally over the shock of all that happened with my GED. Because of it I have also decided that I will no longer listen to the odds for anything because the odds of me finding a 23 year old with an AMH of less than one must be about 1 in a million, so bugger the odds! Plus you all seem to thing its a good idea for me to have a go with my own eggs.
Saw FS yesterday and I will start the pill when AF arrives on sat/sun. Because of my age, I'll be 41 soon, he wanted to put me on the highest dose of FSH (450) but I talked him down to 350 since I made 20 eggs on 300 (and 12 on 250) just 2 years ago and my AMH was still at 20 when tested last Nov. I think 450 would over stim me and I don't want a cancelled cycle. So if all goes to plan EPU should be around the end of Sept.
    Thanks for all your support.
