    Hello there
I'm so glad Murracod's scan was good news. That's excellent that Ferrals got on the IVF list. FX you can start tomorrow.
I am so confused at the moment. I'm starting to get very worried about how long ttc is taking. I told DH I can't wait another 2 years for a BFP. We have 2 icebabies left over from our 2 stim cycles. I'm starting to think we should have a FET if I get a BFN in July. DH doesn't think it's a good idea and thinks it won't work or there might be birth defects because it's been frozen. Has anyone else been faced with this dilemma?
Well at least I have a month to think (stress) over it. And maybe I'll get lucky and my BFP will happen next month.
Sorry I haven't been able to do many personals. My best to you all.

Ferrals that is excellent news I am literally jumping up and down for you (very gently) sooo hope you get to start tomorrow.

Crafty - So nice of you to plan to stay till we all have our BFPs but I really believe you'll get one too. You are my inspiration when it comes to beating the odds so I'm not giving up hope for you.

T Hopes - I'm not sure which is more sad making a pg ticker when you are not pg or being like me and not making one when you are because you are too afraid you'll have to delete it again!

Alice - thanks for the sticky vibes, all seems well so far.

Happy baby - you should talk to your FS but I'm sure there is almost as much chance with frozen embies as fresh in fact I know 3 babies all from frozen embies and they are perfect ( and it was the fresh ones that failed!) I say go for it with your 2 snow buds.

AFM - not much news except that all I want to do is be at home taking it easy and resting to help my bub stick and work is holding zero interest for me at the moment but I have the busiest week. Sucks. Even the weekend will be busy as it is my housemates birthday. LET ME REST!

OK sorry for the me post but I am furious!! I FINALLY got DH's sperm analysis back from 2006 - based on these results we have done all subsequent IVF treatments with the OK from our FS - and it clearly states he has "unusually low" morphology - 2%! Ferrals, I'm going to need your help here! Isn't that the problem that you and your DH have - morphology? And isn't that what your new FS says is a problem??

On the upside it says only 9% fragmentation giving "excellent fertility potential" and the count says 235 million (or thereabouts) which comes in at 84 million per mil. Is that good?

I'm glad we got these today and not yesterday...had a big discussion with DH yesterday about smoking and I cannot believe it but he has finally said he will quit. I am so glad, I can't tell you how relieved I am!

Sorry for no persies this morning - just keen to find out more about these results. x

Alice-good news about DH quitting the fags, afraid I can't help about the sperm count I have no idea, surely someone would have followed it up if it was a problem??
Ferals- thats great news, god straight into it, how exciting!
T-Hopes at least when you get your bfp you will be step ahead of us wih your great ticker-hehe!
Porsche- how are you? hope all is going well xx
Happybaby- Im a midwife have seen heaps of babies born from frozen embryos they are no different so tell DH not to stress
Sunbeam- sorry you can't relax, at least the time will go by quickly if you are busy but its not fair that you can't take it easy
AFM- just had counselling session at ivf and it was really good even DH liked it even though he had a tantrum at home before we left about nothing and we didn't speak for 1/2an hour-juvenile. Looking forward to fs appt next monday , can't believe its finally happening!

Alice-take a breath your DH count is normal they want to see 100mil or more for total count and 20mil or more per mil so your DH's is good the fragmentation is good from what i have read my DH had no fragmentation in his test not to say he has never had any but the last test his was good NOW! the morphology based on Sydney IVF anything between 2% and 6% is considered normal so your DH being 2% and my DH being 4% they are in the normal range BUT! what my new FS said and from what i have researched anything above 85% to 90% ABNORMAL morphology is not good the WHO criteria (world health organisation) like to see about 15% NORMAL as a strict rule but 9% NORMAL as a general rule (if my memory is correct) and it is NORMAL for men to have most of their sperm with abnormal morphology just not this high so life style is a factor smoking and bad diet also cause bad morphology and enviroment is a big key to bad morphology and the WHO is seeing a huge decline in the quality of mens sperm around the world so our men are not alone.
We can still get pregnant with bad morphology it just takes longer and is more work but if i were you i would get a second opinion like i did so at least you know and can do something about it.

AFM-well today went ok i have good and bad news my FSH was 8 which is awesome but my E2 was 359 so the doctor sent me for a dildo cam on day 2 of cycle YUK! not nice to check for follicles well low and behold i had 13 follicles already and one big fat 18mm one on the right side so i was thinking great they are going to cancel before we even start the doctor and nurse seem to think that i always have a big follicle early as i had one last month too so the doctor said we will ignore the big follicle and consentrate on all the little follicles so we wont get a good egg out of that one it will be to over done.
So now we just keep an eye on my E2 levels and hope to god this lead follicle doesnt cause any problems.
Worst case that lead follicle soaks up all the hormones and the others don't keep up and they cancel or my E2 skyrockets and they cancel the nurse did say as my E2 got to 16,400 last time with no sign of OHSS they can let me go to 30,000 at time of egg pick up .
So i don't know if i should be excited that i start my injections tomorrow as i have a real chance of this cycle being canceled

Thanks Ferrals, I feel MUCH better about it after your post - will definitely get a second opinion but also a second test. DH has (apart from smoking) a healthy lifestyle so that's good.
Can't believe you are starting your injections tomorrow! I hope that E2 behaves and your other follies get growing quick! xx

    Morning!

Alice - great news to hear DH is giving up the ciggies!! Must be such a relief! What would we do without our Ferrals and all her info?! And I agree to get a 2nd opinion, you just never know and it certainly wont hurt!

Ferrals a.k.a - Wiki (wikipedia!) So awesome that your starting injections! It's all happening! Now... E2 - what exactly is E2?

Saffy - happy to hear your session went well!! The blokes always seem to moan and groan about those type of appts but they end up getting just as much outta it than we do!

AFM - Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced 'implantation pain'?? Is it an urban legend or what?? Reason Im asking is I had some very sharp pains yesterday (6dpo), very low on the left side, lasted 15 mins on and off and then nothing since! No bleeding or anything! Or maybe it was just a cyst! Who knows! Im sure im just reading in to things too much!
We had some sad news yesterday with my MIL - she has tongue cancer! We have known for a few weeks but found out yesterday that to have any chance of survival, she will have to have her entire tongue removed, followed but massive amounts of radiation & chemo! Poor darlin! She is in so much pain, lost 20 kgs, she is just skin and bone! She will need a permanent tube in her tummy to feed her and will never be able to talk or eat again! She is 55 y/old! Smoker - yes, but still doesnt deserve this! And this comes 7weeks after my FIL was diagnosed with colon cancer! Its just getting worse! Im so scared that she wont be around to meet our babies I just hope so much that we get our BFP sooner rather than later, nothing would make her happier cause even though all this is happening to her, she is more worried about us!

Saffy, sorry I missed you yesterday...glad you found the IVF counselor good and even better that your DH did too. I hope that it helps.

T-hopes, your poor MIL - that is just awful... I hope you get your BFP soon. I have read all sorts of things about implantation bleeding and pain...having only been pg once I can't help you I'm afraid - I don't remember anything like that but it certainly happens to some woman so good luck and hopefully your news will be here soon.

MatthewsMum - how are you going today? Still no spotting? Keeping everything crossed.

Ferrals!! Good luck today! Wow that has happened fast after all that waiting...really hoping you get your BFP at the end of this and a nice healthy bub!

    Crafty, thinking of you

Sunbeam - hope you get some rest - really important to put yourself first - can you get some sneaky sleeps in?

Sevie, Mildez, HappyBaby and anyone else I've missed - hugs to you all.

THopes- thats shocking news, your poor MIL how cruel, I hope everything goes ok for her, your family has a lot on its plate at the moment. I don't know about implantation pain I think some poeple get cramping. I always have sharpish pains on my right side, like o pain, used to only get it around o but now its all over the shop, this month I got it on my left side also. Our bodies are weird aren't they, I probably always had it but now i am TTC i moniter every little tiny twinge!!!xx
Ferals- hope you can start injecting, there is no end to the stress is there, praying that your cycle doesn't get cancelled.xx
Hi Alice, doing another test is a good idea cos I think the results change from... ahem...specimen to specimen, so if it was a few years ago it may all be different xx

Saffy-I started my injections this morning we just have to wait until next thursday's U/S and BT to see how my E2 is going and to see if that lead follicle has settled down enough to let all the little ones catch up if not they will cancel my cycle GEE! i have been here before with high E2 levels and the chance of being cancelled it just adds to the stress.
