Crafty - Im sorry to hear that your feeling so blue, I wish there was something i could say to ease the frustration that your feeling, clutch on to the hand of your gorgeous DH and walk together... I hope it leads you to a BFP sooner than you think xx
Alice - Loving the chicky ticky!! CUTE! So happy to see things are coming together for you!!! YOur plan is coming in to play! Great feeling!!! All the very best! Thank you for asking after my MIL - she is doing very well considering she has had her tongue removed! Surprisingly, she is in good spirits! Its a big adjustment for all of us cause she can no longer talk so communicating is her writing on a mini-whiteboard! She is so swollen that she is unrecognisable, i almost fainted wen i saw her, devastating!! Anway, good luck fr the coming weeks and mths!!
Saffy & Porsche - happy pill poppin!! Who would have thought we would be excited about BCP!!!
matthewsmum - what a fabulous opportunity to write of your journey! I think its a wonderful way to honour him and help others that may be experiencing a loss. If the book had half the inspirational words you write in here, it will be a blessing for all!
Mildez - how are things going with you? What stage are you at now??
Sunbeam & Ferrals (and MurrayCod if your lurking!)- hope you and bubs are well and your feeling good!
Ferrals - hope your still walking after all that shaggin, you little horn bag you!!! Grrr tiger!
AFM - Well we saw our FS last night for my 8wk post op visit! He has recommended IUI or IVF. He feels IUI would be a good place to start with our circumstances. We agree. So I made the 1st call today and registered us! I feel fab that we have a PLAN!!! We obviously have lots of administrative stuff to do, police checks, and nurse/ counciling appts etc but the PLAN is to start in 2 cycles time! AF is due next week so in theory we will start in 5-6 weeks time! Feeling good about it! Have anyone of you had any experience with IUI?? He said I will be on puregon injections??!
Anyway, thats it for me! I hope I didnt miss anyone!!
T-Hopes I'm so glad you have a plan now. It's like a weight has been lifted isn't it? Such a relief. I'm now up to my 4th day of jabbing lol Having a scan on Friday to see how we are responding.
T-Hopes your avatar is super sexy lol I love it. And yee-haa to having a plan of action. Sounds like a number of us will be around the same stage. I am waiting on a phone call today to arrange a call with the FS (doing it all over the hpone because of where we live) then next monday I have another phone call with the nurse to go over the cycle in detail and for her to answer my 101 questions. And then its waiting for AF to start the pill. Maybe that will change we will have to see. DH is been a pain in the butt. He freaked out about having to go to Sydney twice (for EU and then transfer) he said he didn't know that was involved. Honestly I don't know what planet he has been living on with all these discussions. I don't know what to do. He just has no idea and doesn't seemt o retain anything he is told. Then he said we will go there and back in the day. Like thats possible. Its over 1000kms there and back well and truely and then the time for surgery etc. He is now making something already stressful even worse. Going to tell him to snap out of it or else I'll cancel as already I can't handle him complaining the amount he is. It sucks that its so far away as thats the issue. I suggested going on my own or with a friend for transfer but he wont have a bar of that either. Sorry vent done.
T-hopes love the avatar super sexy ! glad you are getting some action in the pipeline seems you will be the next BFP on here with Mildez and saffy and porsche and matthews mum and of course Alice, wow still a few of us to get to that stage but you are all getting help now so looks good for everyone,
I had IUI 19yrs ago now we had 3 attempts with DHs sperm but by the time it was washed the little he had to start with was almost all gone after cleaning so we went on to have donor sperm and got a BFP 2nd try ! BUT since then DH has managed to have 7 kids of his own all natural conception and also 4 misscarriages so I guess you could say in the long run it was well worth it, Our son from donor is so much like his dad its amazing to think he is not genetically his, anyway I had to take clomid and have scans and then inseminated on the day before ovulation just a qucik straw with the sperm in put high inside the uterus and thats it. I don't know how they do it now a days but back then was painless and quick so FX you get a good result 1st try. When they used my DHs sperm he had to produce some in a pot and it was washed to take out any abnormal sperms and then the insemination was the same. ( But I do feel him having to produce it in a pot in a poxy little room well lets say it was not easy for him to relax and get a good amount ) anyway its not too bad when you get the end result thats the miracle bit !!!!
Mildez sorry your DH is being a pain MEN sometimes I wonder why we bother telling them anything in one ear and out the other ! hope you can agree to somthing soon but it seems a long trip to do in one day there and back ! don't let it get you too stressed you need to relax !!!!
AFM well will get my keys to my new house in the next 10 days so super excited to be having our own home again been 5 yrs since we had that feeling of our own home ! so busy packing and packing and well just getting on with moving this crowd of mine all the kids a bit mixed up about moving again but we will manage ( due to ovulate around the time of moving so maybe this will be my month )
Keep smiling I found a smile again after the disapointment of the weekend with AF turning up but as they say onwards and upwards !!!!! NOT GIVING UP THAT EASY !
Crafty, good on you, that's the spirit - you know perseverance pays off so keep at it and your BFP can't be far away now. How exciting to get the keys to your new house!! I hope the move goes well and the kids settle in quickly.
Sunbeam, hope you're resting up at your Mum & Dad's still and all is going well with you.
Mildez, these men can be a pain in the backside, can't they? I hope you don't have to come down and go back the same day - that's just too tiring and you need to take it easy and be as restful as you can. I hope you can get that sorted out. Once you get started things will probably fall into place for him a bit more - its all very abstract until you get things going then it makes more sense.
Porsche - good luck for tomorrow's scan - I hope you are responding super well and you can look forward to your egg pick up soon. Sounds like you have a really good chance with this cycle - fingers crossed it all goes your way.
T-hopes - oo look at your sexy avatar!! It's fun getting them, isn't it? That's great that you have a plan - so it's IUI in 2 cycles time? Is that right?? Well we can still hope for BFPs in the meantime, can't we? Your poor MIL - we had a friend who had tongue cancer but luckily they didn't have to remove it and I just remember how sick he was. Must be awful for her and very distressing for everyone in the family to see her go through that.
Ferrals, I hope this little embie is a good strong one - what an army of specialists you're going to have to deal with, that'd make anyone nervous. Sorry you are feeling bloated and sore - drink lots and lots of water - it'll help, as you probably already know and are doing! Are you feeling tired?
Saffy, glad the OCP isn't bothering you especially if you have to be on it for a few months. That's interesting that they do you all in a group - would make things much easier resource-wise I guess. Hope all stays well with you for the next stage.
Sorry to miss anyone - I know I have but I have to go to Sydney for my tax return so gotta run. All fine here - just waiting to start now. Feeling apprehensive about it all - what if it doesn't work? I so don't want to have to deal with the pain and grief of that all over again. I keep debating whether this will be our last go or not but maybe now isn't a time to make that sort of decision. In August it'll be 10 years since we started TTC and it's our Dec bub's EDD so big anniversaries coming up. Trying not to dwell on them but finding myself having moments when I feel really down and sad. Anyway, taking each day at a time and trying to stay hopeful.
Sorry for the lack of personals just thought I would update that we are now doing an antagonist cycle so will be starting as soon as AF arrives. Its a bit of a shock. Because we are under 30 the FS thought it was best to aim for fewer eggs as he feels I will be at high risk of over stimulation. OMG I start next week.
Alice - GBH to you. As you said just take one day at a time. I'm not looking forward to my EDD anniversary either and mines in November.
Thaks so much for the luck i'm really going to need it as I realised this morning I've F'd up my injections for the last 3 days! I've been injecting well nothing. I noticed the other day that it was really easy to give them to myself I didn't have to dislocate my thumb to push the top down and inject. I though oh wow it's getting easier as the vial gets used. It's been like that for 3 days.
Any way after doing my injection this morning by some chance i looked at the pen and saw that it had become unscrewed! So now I'm screwed! I'm guessing it's been like that for the past 3 freaking days! I can't believe how stupid I've been to not notice.
So out of the 5 days of jabbing I've only had 2 actual doses. 1 on day 1 and I know that worked because the nurse was instructing me and day 2 because I could feel the resistance in the dial when I injected.
I guess the FS will just up the dose tomorrow after my scan but now I'm concerned that if he does then I will definately over stim and have to cancel my cycle. So I'm guessing there will be no follicles there grrrrrr stupid stupid stupid!
