Sunbeam - does your back require surgery? You need to have a good talk with the specialist about what a pregnancy would do to your current situation because it really is hard on your back. It won't be good for the long term if you have a baby but you can't enjoy doing the normal things like giving them a bath because you can hardly move. Good luck sweetie, I hope your problems are resolved soon.
-
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the advice and encouragement. I am super excited as I have made it through the day on just panadol . I am really hoping that this continues and it keeps getting better. I do think in the long run I may need an op and I know pg will probably not help it but if I can worry about getting it fixed after my bub arrives then that suits me fine :D
Saffy - I hope your embies are coming along well and they are nice and strong for saturday's TF.
Alice - How's the rat bite doing?
Possum - I hope your eggie is dividing happily :fertilise: Happy TWW.
Luna - Thanks for the warning. I hope having a possible reason make the situation a tiny bit easier to understand
-
:) hi girls-

-
Saffy, hope you are resting up, queen-like, with DH waiting on your every wish! Can't wait to hear how you went, crossing everything for you x
MatthewsMum, I'm sorry you got a BFN this morning :( It's really good that you have had these tests done and that you now have something to work with that is tangible, not just this uncertainty of why and not knowing. My prog/oest is also out of whack, especially after my IVF cycle seems like my body has gone hay wire, so know what that is like. I hope things improve for you quickly and your BFP is close. Would be wonderful news indeed to see your name in a BFP post. Like I said, I want everyone in one place so I can visit you all easily :)
Porsche, lovely to see your name! Hope all is well with you and bub.
Hi to everyone else - hope you're all having a good weekend. It's wet (again) so inside mooching around not doing much but eating LOL.
-
Saffy: hope the transfer went well today and you are resting up being waited on hand and foot!
Mathewsmum: Sorry for BFN. I hope that your accupuncturist can help you with tablets and other things: you are working so hard to get your body ready for a baby I hope that you will get your BFP very soon.
Alice: Hope you are having a good weekend of mooching and eating! We've had friends over and a yummy vegie lasagna for lunch so lots of eating but not much mooching; it's been hectic!
Porsche: Hope you and your bub are well.
Sunbeam: Exciting that you are managing on panadol. Hopefully you're on your way to being better.
Craftymummy: definitely a bonus when we don't feel moody isn't it? You're nearly at the end of the TWW. Hope AF stays away.
India's mum: Hi, hope you're feeling a bit better this weekend.
Hello everyone else i missed (not going back past this page)
AFM: 2ww is dragging already and i'm only about 3dpo! I feel like it hasn't worked but of course i couldn't possible have symptoms yet even if it had worked! Aargh! just need to be patient.
-
hi girls,
transfer went really well yesterday -besides the fact I discovered the night before at work that the Dr I work with who I DIDN'T want seeing me in my glory was the one doing the transfer , but he was fine and very reassuring. It's so great seeing the embies travelling up the catheter, now I hope they stay put!
The resting is doing my head in a bit as I am someone who always has to do a number of things at once and can't sit still for long periods, but I am watching The Tudors on dvd which is keeping me entertained.
I was very confident going in to this and now am full of doubt about it working, I know i have to think positively but struggling to work out how???
Back later for persies, :hello: to everyone
-
Saffy - so excited to read about your little embies and your transfer!!! Good luck in your TWW, praying that your bfp is just a few weeks away... xx
Hi to all my special friends.... always thinking of you, special love xx
-
Hi all
Just a quickie as I am trying to get on with life after my poas this morning on 12 DPO a BFN of course so no surprise there then I guess I was expecting it afer 14 mnths of BFNs it kind of gets to be the normal thing to see so I am just deciding whether to try clomid a few more months as I am going it alone and know i am taking a risk but I am getting so desperate now and with no Drs willing to help a 45yr old with kids already I guess you do what you have to do right ?
will pop back later when I feel more up to it !! F**K I am so P*ss*d off now !
-
Saffy - great to hear the transfer went well! Sending lots of sticky vibes your way and keeping everything crossed.
crafty - sorry to about the BFN  they suck @ss don't they? Be careful with clomid if you continue with it, I understand all too well wanting to do everything and anything to get my BFP but just be careful!
Hope everyone else is well as for me I have had on going MASSIVE head aches....someone shoot me please!!!!
-
Saffy, that's the hardest part of the TWW, balancing your hope with your fear and trying to stay positive. I think distraction is what you need - dvd fest or something. Or a triology of books to read? Fingers crossed it is all going well for you x
Toomanyshoes, agh yuck headaches, sorry you have a bad one. My friend gets them so I know how awful they can be. Rest up.
Crafty, I don't know what to say - I don't think you should take drugs without an FS and I'm sorry you can't get one to help you. Sorry you got another BFN. Did you ever try Vitex? At least you can get that from a health food store.
Hi to everyone else - sorry for no more persies - got a headache from reading my bookclub book in one sitting! I need to get back to work... x
-
Crafty: I'm sorry you are feeling down. It's so hard holding out hope and getting disappointed. The BFN is the worst...
Alice: I love a good book that's so addictive you can't put it down and leaves you disappointed when it's over and there's no more to read... or did you leave it till the last minute and have to read it in a rush before book club meeting! lol
toomanyshoes: why the headaches? Hormones?
AFM: TWW dragging... funny story though: thought i'd had another little bleed today like last week around 'o' time and i was all ready to panic when i realised it was exactly the same as last week: Same pair of underwear- clean i promise but the stain didn't wash out! (Sorry, really TMI but it was funny... or you had to be there perhaps!)
-
Possum - TWW's seriously suck! The just keep going and going, hope yours ends with a BFP!
AFM - I'm not sure why, I never had them until pregnant with DD and then I was fine again until the last 12 months, which is annoying because every time I get one I start wondering if I'm pregnant! At the moment I'm trying not to look when AF is due and just let things be.
-
LOL Possum - time for a knicker chuck! How much longer until you test???? It was quite gripping (the book) but also I just wanted to finish it to get it out of the way as the next few weeks are going to be crazy busy. I do have a funny (not so funny at the time) story about trying to finish a bookclub book in time. I was heading home in really bad traffic - completely stopped and just inching forward every five mins or so, so I decided I'd use the time well and keep reading (honestly, traffic was stopped). I kept looking up to check and inching forward a bit with the other cars then the car in front of the car in front of me surged forward and I thought **** and put my foot down but the car in front of me didn't move...:( yep, pranged into it. Lucky for me it was a ute with a very cheerful bloke in it who just looked at my poor car and said don't worry about insurance etc (there wasn't even a scratch on his ute). My car was completely squashed - it took 6 weeks to fix because up here that's how long things take (agg). Moral to the story: don't read and drive!!
Toomanyshoes, my friend had the opposite with pg and headaches - she gets terrible migraines and the only time they go away is when she is pg! Bloody hormones.
Crafty, hope you're feeling a bit better today.
Saffy, are you being good and resting up??
Sunbeam, how's your back? Have you been to see the FS yet?
MatthewsMum, any news with you? Are you going to try your FET before the end of the year or wait til you are feeling better?
Mildez, Porsche, Ferrals, T-hopes, Luna, Damprye and anyone I've accidentally missed love to you all xx
AFM just lurking and keeping an eye on all of you lovelies.x
-
morning girls-
Alice- you were up early this morning! I have been guilty of driving and reading when caught in traffic, I call it multi tasking. But saying that where I live now doesn't really have traffic jams so I'm very safe! Yes, I am resting up, I don't go back to work until Thursday so just getting some chores out of the way, going to Ikea today- yay!
Possummagic-you are a classic! maybe santa can bring you some new undies for christmas! When's AF due??
toomanyshoes-maybe you should try getting a massage for your headaches?? I was getting them a lot when I was on syneral nose spray, they are shocking, makes it hard to concentrate, hope it IS because you are UTD! x
craftymummy-sorry about the BFP, has AF come yet?? I'll have to agree with Alice, I don't think you should keep taking the clomid unsupervised :hide: sorry babe!! xx
Thopes- so good to see you darling, hope your and your little one are cruising along xxx
Hi everyone else :grouphug:
AFM-trying to stay cool but going quietly mad- I *think* I had cramping yesterday but now I don't know whether I just wanted it so bad I imagined it. Oh well just have to wait and see :2ww:
-
Hi ladies,
Just wanted to pop in in say i am still stalking and keeping an eye on you all and praying for BFP'S for all of you.
I miss talking to you all but know how hard this journey is so will just quietly stalk.
AFM-Just a quick update 20 weeks tomorrow our girl is perfect in every way i was told i have a grade 4 placenta previa it covers the entire cervix so will proberbly be put on bed rest from 28 weeks and have a c section at 37 weeks if it doesnt move :shakehead: not real happy about that i dont like the thought of no sex and bed rest and then bleeding or hemoraging the placenta is in the worst place possible so i am willing it to move but if our girl needs to come out the sunroof then so be it as long as she is healthy.
Miss you all take care
-
Alice: lol I can sympathise with the reading and driving story. In my version i leaned over to get something from the floor of the passenger side and didn't realise that in doing that i lifted my foot off the brake a bit. The car rolled and the first i was aware of it i felt a gentle bump as i hit the car in front of me. Fortunately not hard and no damage done but the guy whose car it was- also a ute! Horrid gold colour no less!- looked at me like "are you for real?" He was totally unimpressed. I'm definitely a driving multi tasker (breakfast in the car etc). Poor you that you got caught out!
Toomanyshoes: how frustrating! Must drive you nuts that the headaches make you think you are pg. It's great to take a 'wait and see' approach but hard to do. I wish i could do that- try not to think about getting pg and then surprise myself one day when i realise i'm weeks overdue for AF- but i can't. I have to be on medication from the time i know i'm pg so unfortunately i need to test for pg if AF is overdue.
Saffy: I'm sending you big empathy vibes for the horrors of the TWW. The only good thing about it is that no matter how it seems to drag it does eventually end. But if you have any good tips about how to make time go faster i'd be happy to hear them. Hope you get some nice stuff at Ikea. I always find i discover things to buy i didn't realise i needed!
Ferrals: that's very disappointing for you that you have something else to worry about when it seemed like you might enjoy smooth sailing after your great amnio results. But i'm very pleased for you that the news on baby's health is good.
AFM: reading everyone's posts always makes me feel better- feeling like there are others out there going through something similar- but I'm not having a good day today. I started getting AF type cramping even though it's 10 days before AF is due. But that's not unusual for me since i came off the pill. It's so disheartening: I can't even have the fun of hoping i might be pg because i'm already 99% sure it hasn't worked this month. But i still have to sit around for 10 days waiting to have it confirmed (with AF) then wait another 12 days to 'o' again. It totally sux.
But at the same time i torture myself with: 'but what if i'm wrong? What if it's pg cramping?' when i know it isn't. Pg cramping for me has always been on either side of my tummy. AF type cramping for me is usually across the lower part of my tummy. Has anyone else had AF type cramping across their tummy when pg? (I'm clutching at straws here!)
-
Hi Lovelies,
Alice - Oh sweetie the life lessons we learn from you. Last week: Don't try to pet wild rats! This week: Don't drive and read! You are indeed a wise one  Glad you weren't hurt in learning this lesson though.
Possum - Yes most definitely pg cramps feel just like AF cramps for me everythime. Really hope that's what they are :crossfingers: Yes time for new undies. I've done worse and thought it was blood and it was the pattern on the loo paper!
Crafty - I'm so sorry it was another BFN it's so damn unfair. I would keep going on the clomid it can't hurt.
Ferrals - The stories you will have to tell this little one when she's older. The first time she's in the least bit ungrateful you'll be able to say... do you know what I had to go through for you!!! The no sex bit is going to be tough for you I know how much you love your pg sex that sux.
Saffy - TWW hugs :hug:babe its just an impossible time anyway but worse after IVF by far.
Toomanyshoes - Headaches can be caused by something being out in your neck or back. A lady I work with had them everyday for years and has just started with a chiropractor and hey presto, they are gone. Might be worth a try.
Hi to anyone I missed.
AFM - AF just started so IVF 2 here we come. I've been having acupuncture but other than that I am doing whatever and just getting on with my life and not focussing on baby stuff. I'm going camping this weekend (well from tomorow actually) with my bestie and her girlfriend up to Agnes Waters (so beautiful, google it it's stunning). I am waiting to hear from the clinic if FS will fit me in for a base line scan tomorrow if not I'll just start jabbing and he'll have to wait till monday.
Back update: I am drug free today for the first time and managing well. I did lots of work on it last night with a tennis ball and I think my back is actually better but the muscles are all still in tesnsion from being in pain so long and I just need to work on loosening them up again.
-
hi everyone, sunbeam-good news about your back, safe travels & good luck with scan & jabbing.Exciting...t-hopes-nice to see you pop in...ferrals-thanks for your update on you & bub...craftymummy-sorry it was a bfn...saffy-hoping for implantation cramping...possummagic-hoping for implantation cramping for you too...alice-at the moment were going to try fet in Dec.When i think about waiting till i feel better ,i think who knows when that will be ,if ever...
-
Possum- I'm in the same boat as you - I could write an essay on my analysis of the twinges/ cramps/ pains I am getting ( or imagining lol) at the moment, but i'm too hot to be bothered will save it for tomorrow. All I'll say is I get AF cramps in the middle/low, but I don't think I have ever got pg cramps- not that I've noticed anyway. I really hope yours are impantation cos they are a bit early to be AF aren't they? Or did this happen last month for you?
Hi Sunbeam ( great about your back) and Matthewsmum ( yay for december)
-
Sunbeam: Glad your back is mending. Wishing you every sticky vibe for IVF 2. Thanks for your support (and wise words for everyone). Lol re thinking pattern on the loo paper was blood (I can so imagine doing that too!) Enjoy camping!
Saffy: Look forward to reading your essay! How far into the TWW are you? (Sorry i'm losing track but i think you're a few days ahead of me?) Yes, i've had cramping like this a few times before 10 days before AF was due and BFN. When i was pg with DD i got AF type pain 10 days before AF was due but it wasn't across my tummy it was one spot each side, so, felt a bit different to AF. But i can't remember how i felt with my other two pgs as clearly (blocked it out i guess).
Mathewsmum: sorry you've been feeling low. I hope that you'll be feeling better and stronger by the time you come to do FET in December. Have you though about getting some extra support (apart from acupuncture?) Counselling?
-
 MatthewsMum, I tried to PM you but your inbox is full. I hope Dec goes your way, you've been waiting so long, it would be a wonderful way to end the year. x
Saffy, how's the essay going? I write lists - in my head, on paper...we can't help ourselves, can we? When is your bt? Fingers crossed x
Sunbeam, LOL I've done that too (pattern on the loo paper). Oh yes, I'm a very wise woman as you can see...minus a few stupid things. Next time I will let sleeping rats lie (apparently I'm not an animal whisperer after all) and stick to driving when I'm, um, driving. At least Possum has reassured me I'm not alone! Glad you are managing the back pain better and enjoy your camping trip. I totally agree that it's good to try keep the whole IVF thing in balance with your life as much as possible. It's not always easy 'cause we think about it so much. Good luck with your next cycle.
Possum, thanks lovely, glad I'm not alone in the madness. Wish I could help with the cramps - the ones I got when I was pg were exactly the same as bad AF cramps (that I don't usually get), I was totally convinced it would be a BFN. Anyway, we all know our own bodies best but I'm hoping you're wrong and you get a nice surprise soon. When do you test?
Crafty, how are you lovely Crafty? Hope I didn't upset you with the clomid comment, just concerned for you that's all. I would love to see you with your BFP and hope you're getting closer every month to it becoming a reality. Believe me, I've had 10 years of what you've been feeling in the last 14 months, so I know how you feel and I know how much it hurts and how frustrating it is and it is probably even more frustrating when you know your body can do it and you've done it so many times before so why not now? x
Ferrals, glad to hear bub is perfect just such a bummer for you about the placenta...not to mention the sex! Hope it moves and you don't have to do bed rest in the new year. Fingers crossed. keep us posted, I miss all of you so much who have moved into the other thread but I find it hard to lurk there so glad to see your names pop up. Take care x
Toomanyshoes, has the headache gone? You poor thing, must feel awful.
Hi to all our other lurkers and anyone I've missed, hope everyone is doing well. I'd love to see some BFPs here before the year ends. I will be lurking some more then having a break until next year because of other things going on here. It'll be hard but I just have to be patient. Good luck everyone x
-
alice-sorry i missed your pm(i love hearing from you),box is all empty now...possummagic-yes ,i'm looking into some courses to help,as well trying to find out a bit about kinesology(apparently they have had a good success rate for depression).i've still got my fingers crossed for you ....saffy-you too...big hugs to all...afm-dr called & wants to see me tomorrow, talk about bt results i think.Be good to get her opinion on transfer for dec i suppose.Bought Matthew's anniversary card,it's got a blue teddy bear holding 2 balloons on it,it's gorgeous & i've got him a crystal teddy bear holding a star with 2008 inscriped on it.
-

Hi all
Saffy - I have been thinking of you all this week. Just one more week to go. How are you feeling? I imagine you are scrutinising every possible sign.
AFM - We are up to conception week where we have to BD every two days from day 14 to 24 just to catch my irregular ovulation. Feeling a bit down at the moment. I found my dream house right where I wanted to live and the bank said yes but DH said no, he didn't want to stretch ourselves that far. I know he's right but I still feel sad about it. So, hoping that this is our month as I would rather have a baby than a new house.
BTW - was anyone else advised to take baby aspirin for recurrent miscarriage? I took it for 10 days recently when I thought I might be pregnant (but I wasn't) and unfortunately it seems to have stirred up a stomach ulcer which means I can't take it if I do get pregnant. I'm wondering if there is any alternative to baby aspirin. I asked my GP and she said not to worry about it as they never found any blood clotting disorder with my recent tests. I know she's probably right but I still want to give any pregnancy the best possible chance.
-
Struggling with feeling down today. I almost managed to convince myself that this cycle has worked but then i got down thinking about how even if I am pg it will just be a nuisance because it won't work and it will just end up stuffing my body up for months like the last two. I haven't had many symptoms but i've been dreaming every night for over a week now... and that's usually a pg symptom for me (I don't usually dream that much). (I sometimes dream more when my DD is sleeping better and i'm getting 'catch up' sleep without being woken but not usually for this many nights in a row). I haven't had much cramping except for on CD18 and a bit now- which feels like my AF coming. A couple of times i had mild cramps a bit more to the side which i managed to convince myself felt more like when i was pg, but in truth nothing really convincing. I'm tempted to test early but then if it's BFP it could still vanish and if it's BFN it might just be too early to tell so i'll just drive myself nuts until Friday when AF is due anyway! Sorry to visit my crazy lady thinking on you all!
India's mum: I'm on low dose aspirin while trying to get pg and then, if i get pg, will add in injections of blood thinning medication. If your doctor thinks you need blood thinners then there's probably other options than baby aspirin (that don't go via your gastric system and upset it). Good luck with conception week. Sorry you could not get your dream house. I hope you will get a lovely baby instead.
Saffy: When do you have your BT? If embie is already day 5 when transferred does that make you the equivalent of 11dpo now? HOpe you are manging ok with the horrible TWW.
Crafty: What do you think is going on? Is the spotting the lead in to AF you usually get? Sorry for BFN.
Damprye: Hi, hope you are feeling good and doing well!
Mathewsmum: you have bought some lovely things for Mathew. I hope that it provides some comfort for you on his anniversary.
Alice: Hope we see you visiting in here often. WIll miss your posts if you don't.
-
Possum- It is hard to imagine a positive outcome sometimes, well not really imagine, that is usually the easiest part, still not that it tends to be that easy but compared to actually being able to believe that it really will happen and isn't just a dream as big as flying to the moon or whatever :/ I hope that your next pregnancy does actually result in a H&H 9months and many more years after :) Good luck for this cycle hun and chin up :)
Indie's Mum- I hope you catch your eggy this month :)
AFM- Not doing well at all right now. Have been off TTC for a while now but may have screwed up this month. Not sure yet though, my cycles are usually 19days long but am currently on cd21. Will be testing cd28. Really, really bad timing as well seeings as I just got kicked out of home today! Also I would have been 38wks UTD to Xdp today. Things with my dp are going well and no longer a rollercoaster in that department which is good since I don't think I could handle anymore than what i am already "dealing" with.
-
We need some BFP's in here!...How are all you lovely ladies going?
I've had the week from hell...first logging onto my "huggies" account to enter a comp to be faced with "thanks for logging on, you're 23wks along your baby is growing bigger and doing xyz"!...thanks! The had DH's family christmas party for work on yesterday, someones wife was very very pregnant, only a few weeks to go, I couldn't stop staring at her belly :wall: I've broken out, the head aches are still happening, I have no idea where in my cycle I am and I'm trying to stick with it. Might give it another week or two and test but I would say it's highly unlikely.
I have one friend due on Friday then another in 2 weeks, then another in a month, then another in a month and a bit...I wanna hide!
My breasts we're extremely tender yesterday but it's gone now..I'm sure it's all in my head
-
Hi girls,
sorry I have been mia but had a rough weekend being a tww basketcase, culminating with me waking up this morning crying cos I don't feel pregnant, so went and poas and...bfp!
So tentatively reporting this but don't have BT til Wednesday so will be celebrating once I get a good level.:crossfingers: I did a crystal clear and the line was not strong but definate and came up straight away, so went and bought First Response and did one, the line is almost equal to the control so feeling better about that.
Still struggling with the fact that my boobs don't feel pregnant but I have to get over it and believe in my body!
Toomanyshoes-you have some good symptoms, I have a splitting headache today too. I went to a 40th on Sat night and had to watch my cousin's 17yo pregnant stepdaughter getting fawned over- I couldn't look at her, its difficult isn't it? It make you feel sh*t.

Oh saffy :happyforyou:
Every pregnancy is different, but I can relate to panicking because you don't "feel" pregnant.
lots and lots and lots and lots of :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: and keeping everything crossed for you!

Saffy that's excellent! Hurrah! :leap::thumbsup:
Sending you powerful sticky vibes. Can't wait to hear results of your BT on Wednesday.
Toomanyshoes: IKWYM about seeing pg people. It gets me down too: My two best friends are pg at the moment. I want to be happy for them but often when i see them i mainly feel sad about not having my own babies and resentful that it has come so easy for them. I can't really get past that but I try not to let them see how I feel. Hey, hope your headaches mean good news. Frustrating i'm sure.
Damprye: Sounds like you've also had a rough week. Were you living with your mum and dad? I hope you've got some place to stay and that things work out ok for you.
AFM: Still battling with myself over when to test, whether to hang out til Friday. I worked today and had a good day so that helped pass another day. Only 4 more days to go (i think. But my darned cycle has been getting shorter the last few months so not exactly sure. From 30 days down to 27 last month. Does anyone know what it means if your cycle length gets shorter?)

Saffy, I'm doing a little happy dance for you and waiting til tomorrow to break out the fireworks. So so pleased for you lovely - keeping everything crossed that this/these (?! you had two put back right??) little one/s is/are coming home with you!:happyforyou:
Sorry ladies, I'm in a rush this morning so will be back later to add more.
Possum, good luck for Friday. Shorter cycle just means you ovulated earlier from what I understand and that maybe your progesterone is stronger (I only say this because for the first time in years I've had a long cycle and I've been temping and discussing it each week with my acupuncturist so mine is going the opposite to yours!)(could be wrong though - there's probably lots of reasons).
OK gotta go - love to everyone. Back later xx

Saffy - :hooray: Yay yay yay a BFP at last, we've had a drought of them. I will be hanging to hear your bt results tomorrow. I'm so excited for you
I haven't caught up on all the posts so I'll do personals later.
AFM - Had a scan yesterday and I have 12 follies 10-13mm. I have another scan tomorrow and EPU will be friday or monday (bet it will be friday as that is far more inconvenient!). I had a lovely time camping, drank way too much, ate junk and totally chilled out with my bestie, awseome time :). Unfortunately camping has stuffed my back again so I'm back to tennis ball therapy and painkillers but only one a day. My appt. with the neuro surgeon ahs been postponed until I have an MRI as my x-rays are too old for him to work from but I don't care I'm in a very "whatever" mood at the monent, just too happy and chilled out to stress.:D
