Hi girls, happy new year to everyone and heres to 2011 giving us all our longed for and deserved babies!

crafty-hows the temping/charting going? I was never very good at it- too slack to do it properly! Hope it gives you a picture of whats going on.x

minniemouse- welcome even though you are probably wishing you didn't have to come here- we are a bit quiet at them moment cos of christmas but it will fire up again soon. How long is your cycle normally? FX for a bfp for you x

hi matthewsmum-babydust to you for 2011- good luck for this month, hope you get a lucky break x

Hi to Sunbeam, Porsche, possummagic, damprye, india'smum and alice (if you are stalking from afar)- best wishes for 2011 girls, thanks for your help last year through my ups and downs

AFM- well I got a pos OPK yesterday so am happy as I feel we have done our best with the BDing this month- its in the hands of fate now! I am enjoying being a normal person for a while actually- not obsessing over ttc- having a drink-etc.

craftymummy: i think i read you were doing clomid cycles, are you still doing that ?

i hope things start to get busier in here although i know it would be best if there didn't have to be people in here at all

    Hi Girls,

I am still lurking and reading, but not posting much as not much is happening. I had my first appt after the ectopic, the egg was growing on the side of the ectopic, so the doctor told me not to TTC this cycle for fear of another ectopic and schedule an HSG for next month. This is where they push the liquid up your tubes to make sure they are passable. So I am just waiting for the @ so I can schedule this. It is hard not to TTC... Especially that I usually get very clear ovulation symptoms.

minniemouse - are you taking clomid now?

I wish you all a happy and very fruitfull 2011.

    hi Luna,

sorry to hear you went through an ectopic, i know what you mean about it being hard not to ttc, i waited about 5 months after my last miscarriage. i hope you can get on with the hsg soon and start again with cleaned out tubes !

yeah im doing clomid, this is my 3rd cycle on it, the first ended on day 23 without ovulating, the 2nd was 33 but i only ovulated about day 22 so i started bleeding a few days before af was due, this time around im day 28 and 4dpo, im hanging in there hoping i get a normal luteal phase !

i know this isn't the assisted conception thread but does anyone know what is the next step after clomid if that doesn't work ? it has worked for me twice before and i said i wouldn't go down the ivf road.......is the next things injections and still dtd ? or do you move onto iui etc ? thanks

Hi minniemouse- my FS gave us a few options when I tried clomid, either have a laparoscopy ( checking if the tubes are clear like luna described and looking for endometriosis etc) or go staright to IVF. After the laparoscopy apparently you have a better chance of getting UTD naturally cos your tubes have been given a springclean. But if that doesn't work in a few months you go on to ivf anyway. I think because of my age he didn't bother with anything else. I didn't havethe laparoscopy cos I fugured I had gotton pregnant twice already so there was no prob with my tubes and i didn't want to wait any longer to start ivf. ( Meanwhile fast forward 6 months and I'm still not pregnant but thats another story!!)
Hopefully you don't need to bother with any of this and the clomid does the trick. GL

Matthewsmum- FX for tww, i'm in it too, have NO confidence at all that I can get pregnant naturally anymore so just killing time until the FET.

    Hi Lovlie ladies,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I did see we got a couple of BFPs

I have not been around much, although I wanted to keep up with all the news but I was finding it too upsetting given that I am not even trying again for 4 months (feels like forever!)
I thought I would just pop in to say hi and let you know I am still alive and kicking. I am seeing the nutritionist and although I failed to eat red meat (ended in floods of tears!) I am managing chicken so I'm on iron tablets too and this is going fine. I have also built a veggie box so I can grow my own veggies (rather than forking out all my cash for organic). I have my MRI on friday and 2 friends to get me home after my handful of valium and they have squeezed me in to the neuro surgeon on the 19th. Of course with all that sorted my back has actually been really good for the last week.

Sending you all huge cyberhugs and tonnes and tonnes of

sunbeam: i have had many mri's before, do you know if you are able to take your own cd along to listen to while you have it done ? i have been in ones where you could do that, although i actually prefer not to have the headphones on because i like to be able to hear whats going on around me. it is also quite noisy in the machine, like a kind of hammering noise clunk clunk (sorry if you know all this), i hope it goes ok for you

matthewsmum: how many dpo are you ? so a few of us are in the 2ww, here's hoping for good news coming up for us

crafty- glad I am not the only one who can't remember to temp every day! Enjoy your time with your mum, my DH's parents can't come out from the UK to visit as his mum is scared of flying and his dad isn't very well, its a shame really.

minniemouse- where are you up to in your tww? I'm still in the early stages.

Sunbeam- hi mate, sorry you have to wait so long, it must be frustrating, if it makes you feel any better I feel like I've got Buckley's chance of conceiving naturally these days,I hope 4 months goes quickly for you (its a shame we have to get older while waiting for these ivf procedures) xx GL with the MRI, I have never had one but it sounds pretty scary, hopefully it will give you some answers to your back problem. Let me know how your veges go, I am going ot start soon as well, just got mostly herbs at the moment.

AFM- only 3-4 days PO so nothing to report, going to the beach for 4 days over the weekend for some relaxation- can't wait!
    Hi to everyone else

    Hi all,

Need to catch up with all posts but wanted to wish a quick GL to Sunbeam for the MRI: It's really not that scary it's just that we scare ourselves with the idea of it. I think i told you i had a couple of MRIs. I was worried about it but i got through. I didn't find the noise too bad. NOthing hurts. There's plenty of fresh air in there. It's open at both ends. You just need to keep reminding yourself that there's nothing to worry about with being in that space: where are you in a hurry to go?! (Well that's what i told myself and it helped me). Just think of it as though you are lying in a suntan bed! (It's not dissimilar in a way!)

Possum - I am so pleased to hear that everything is fine with you. I had been stalking and was a little concerned for you.

Sunbeam - Four months would seem like a very long time but it looks as though you will be in the peak of health by the time you start again and that can only be a good thing.

Crafty - I was going to temp this time too but I am so forgetful I put the themometer next to the bed but I still forget all about it every morning.

Minniemouse - I hope your time here is brief.

AFM - we are just about up to the week long sexfest we have every month. I don't think either of us look forward to it anymore.

Yep me too feels more like a chore than baby making ! oh how terrible is it that we get to feel like this when all we need is one egg and one sperm to meet, why does it have to be so hard !

Been temping when I remember which is every few days so my chart has a few readings left out but day 15 today for me and no temp rise and nothing really so I guess I am not ovulating as yet ( maybe not at all this month who knows ) anyhow will do the deed tonight or tomorow just in case.

Glad everyone seems to be moving into the TWW or are half way through it apart from you sunbeam but your time will come sooner than you know !

    Hi Ladies
Happy New Year to you all, for BFP's for us all this yr.
Hoping I can join you in this thread. I probably know most of you already from the LTTTC and TTC AML threads but I have left the TTC AML thread as I felt that a lot of them were getting BFP's and here I was still waiting and undergoing IVF as well.

Its been almost a year since we got our BFP and then lost the lil one about a week or so later.

We are down to do IVF/ICSI in May again.

Will catch up with persies very soon. In the mean time, wishing you all as much luck as I can send out!

sunbeam: i hope you went ok with your mri today

india's mum: i hope the bding isn't too much a chore for you, i know how that is too and its awful

craftymummy: are you managing to get some bding in too ?

saffy: how are you going in the 2ww ?

possum magic: how are things with you ?

matthewsmum: where are you in the 2ww ?

afm: 7 dpo today and dreading entering the 2nd part of the 2ww where i start analysing things, the last few cycles i have had a have started bleeding 9 or 10 dpo and af has arrived so my first goal is to get past there with no bleeding
