saffy-glad transfer went well, sounds like youv'e got a strong little embie there,to be able to survive thawing, hope it continues to grow in strength...hi everyone...afm-bt results are still showing levels too low for transfer, having another test tomorrow...
-
Saffy - so glad to hear transfer went well - will be thing of you over the coming weeks xx
Hi and special love to everyone else, hope you are all travelling well xx
-
Saffy: Hope little embie is snuggling in tight!
Mathew'smum: Hope you get good news about hormone levels soon.
India'smum: FX for you that your numbers go from strength to strength and you can have your dating scan very soon.
Minniemouse: What a long wait! How frustrating! Hope you have lots of motivation for BD'ing after your long wait!
Loops: Glad AF finally showed up.
Crafty: Sorry for bl00dy BFN.
Hi everyone else....
-
Saffy - fingers crossed! Rest and take care of your embies, I'll feel optimistic for you.
Matthew's mum - how did the test go?
India's mum - have things settled down now? Are you feeling a bit less panicky now? I know you will not feel fully at ease until the bub is born, so I am not even asking that.
Minniemouse - I had some cycles with ovulation on day 20-21 too. Once I even got pregnant with ovulation so late, but it was not meant to be. BTW, I decided against clomid. I read that for some women, it can makes things worse, it can cause uterine lining to be too thin, or the cervical mucus to turn against the sperms. I know I ovulate, so I'd rather take things slowly but surely than take a risk. No time for risky things.

Hello Lovelies,
Just popping in quickly to say good luck to Saffy I have everything crossed for you babe.
:bluedust::pink-babydust: To give you some hope I got a text from Mindhugs yesterday she is now 10 week pg after FET with their last snowbub. It has been touch and go but progressing well now.
AFM- I am still following my diet and exersizing everyday and I lost 4 kg in Jan 7 more to go, seeing my nutrtionist again tomorrow. Roll on May!
Miss you all. XXX
-
Sunbeam!- How WEIRD, I was just thinking of you this morning and about to write a post saying how are you going!??! :hello: We must be psychic!
Well miss skinny-:confetti: well done on losing 4 kgs! I'm sure you will lose the rest now you are on a roll! Good on you babe, I really thought you were starting in March?? Is it May- oh well, the way these years fly by now that will be just around the corner and you will be looking hot, ready to be a yummy mummy!
Thats great news about mindhugs- I really need to hear success stories. Thanks for your wishes I am trying to keep a lid on my insanity cos I've just started but I got a wave of anxiety last night lying in bed so its going to be a LOOOONG tww lol. You're a sweetie to think of me, it must be so frustrating for you having to wait
Hi everyone else-
thopes -thanks gorgeous one, how is your belly going?? xx
matthewsmum-realllllly hope your levels pick up xx
indiasmum-did you have your test yesterday? ( or was it a scan?) Hope the results are good anyway xx
possummagic-hi beautiful, glad things are going well ( saw you were stressing about your baby being too fat at 10wks  you're gorgeous)
Luna- thanks for the positive thoughts, hows your tww going?
Crafty-any af?
Loops- how are you and DH going?
-
hi everyone,
saffy: glad the transfer went well, hope you manage to sort out that annual leave, im in the 2ww with you
matthewsmum: hope did your next blood test go ?
possum magic: nice to see you still checking on us, hope you are going well
sunbeam: good to see you also, well done on the weight loss, i can't remember did you get the results from your mri ?
luna: probably a good call on the clomid if you dont need it, i know my specialist said clomid increases the risk of miscarriage
india's mum: whats the latest with you ? sending you sticky vibes
hi to everyone else
afm: i saw my specialist today, he has given me another 2 cycles of clomid, this time at 100mgs before i have to think about whether to go down the ivf path, hopefully this cycle will be successful and i don't have to worry about that but as we all know things aren't that easy. anyway im 2dpo so i'll concentrate on that for now
-
Luna - Thanks for asking. Things have settled down, I don't have anymore pain in my side and I haven't bled since Monday. I do still feel quite pessimistic about my chances but it helps to have the progesterone and baby aspirin the FS prescribed as it makes me feel as though I am giving it my best shot. Expensive stuff that progesterone. DH nearly fell over when I told him it was around $80 a week. I only have to take it for 6 weeks though.
Matthews Mum - How did the second blood test go, any better?
Sunbeam - woo hoo to 4kg. I lost 4kg in January too. I wanted to lose about 8 before we went to Bali but I can't really diet now.
Saffy - how are you feeling? Silly question, I know you are probably tied up in knots with worry. I can't wait until I am telling someone about YOUR success story to give them a boost. I don't have another blood test until next Tuesday and if that shows the numbers rising correctly then I will have a scan the following week when I will be between 6 and 7 weeks and there is actually something to see.
Minninemouse - hope you don't need the extra clomid. Fingers crossed that this is the cycle for you.
-
Hi Minniemouse - Thanks for asking, yes I just got my MRI results yesterday arvo. The enormous amount of pain was well founded given the fact that I had managed to rupture 2 discs!!! They are well on the mend now but my spine does show considerably more degeneration that he would have expected to see for my age. He said exersize is the only thing that will help and I have to do it everyday. I told him I'd gladly exersize everyday of my life if I never ever have to have another MRI!!
Saw my nutrionist today, holy smokes I've lost 9.5cm from my waist
Saffy - It seems insane how much harder the TWW is after IVF given the fact its only 11 days. Just keep breathing babe.
Miss you all can't wait till May.
-
Sunbeam - 4 kilos, that is like 8 pounds! Holy smokes indeed! Does not weight loss look better in pounds BTW?
India's mum - glad to hear everything is fine. I hear you about the progesterone.... I have some left over actually, they put me on it for my last pregnancy before we knew it was ectopic, I am wondering whether to start taking it now just in case? But if I am not preggers, I will be just wasting the expensive stuff.
Matthew's Mum - did you go ahead with the transfer this month?
I am just waiting, not really feeling any symptoms... Not sure if I should 10 DPO.
-
Hi Lovely Ladies
Just another quick one sorry. Hope you are all well - always thinking of you and
Saffy ~ thanks hun, doing ok. Glad the transfer went well and I have everything crossed for you! :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
Goodluck all!
-
Hi everyone sorry ive been away from here for a while but with my mum visiting from the UK I needed time to spend with her,
saffy FX for you and hope the TWW isn't too bad for you and your bfp will be on here soon.
matthews mum hope you get your levels sorted and transf any day now too !
sunbeam HI there glad to see your still around and congrats on loosing 4kgs and a good few cms good on you girl .
Indiasmum hope your still traveling well and bub is sticking this time and keep taking the prog should be a good strong one for you this time and a take home baby at the end of it all.
everyone else thanks for asking about me I am ok I guess bit tearful atm as I just took my mum to the airport and said goodbye !
AF finally turned up properly today so thank god for that but been a funny 6 wks with lots of spotting 2wks ago and a bfn but she is well and truely here now so I guess I have to be happy I am still having a full cycle just not sure on ovulation now adays
anyhow onwards and upwards I guess not giving up just yet ! WANT MY BFP AND I WILL GET IT ONE OF THESE DAYS !
-
Hi craftymummy- sad for you having to say goodbye to your mummy xx Sorry AF the biatch is here, hope your bfp comes soon xx
Hi loops- sorry if this is too personal but does you DH's injury allow you to :bd:? Or do you have to put that on hold? Thanks for the stickys.xx
Luna- I am about a day behind you I think, no symptoms here either.xx
Sunbeam- glad you have found a diagnosis but god no wonder you were in pain!! What exercise do you have to do? Hope the weight loss is still going well. xx
India'smum- wow, no more bleeding is a positive sign hun, sounding good!! xx
minniemouse- hope the 100mg does the trick, or even better that you don't need it!
matthewsmum- what happened with your cycle?
afm- not having fun at all, I have been spotting ( brown small amounts) since transfer, so am about to call the clinic and demand a BT to check my pregesterone. Don't know whats going on, but I feel like this cycle has no chance and I am going to get AF soon, very depressing.
-
Saffy - But might the brown spotting be implantation bleeding? I don't think it's necessarily a bad sign.
Crafty - Sorry your Mum has gone home. I couldn't imagine living so far away from my Mum (but DH couldn't live far enough away from his!)
Luna - Do you usually have very early symptoms? Personally I wouldn't feel anything much at 10DPO
Loops - Will DH's injury effect your TTC?
-
:partysmiley: happy birthday loops!!!! xx have a great day, have a drink or two for me please!!
indiasmum- yeah, I know its not implantation its been going for 4 days constantly, got my blood test done so if the results are normal I'll stop stressing anyway. The clinic was trying to palm off as I expected but I insisted. How are you? x
-
Saffy - could it be they scratched something during transfer? You know how sometimes you can have spotting after DTD when you are pregnant? Maybe it is like that?
India's mum - the only time I got very early symptoms was with my daughter, so this is my marker for a successful pregnancy...I did not really have much symptoms with her at all, except my bbs killing me very early on. The bbs made me take the test 12 dpo and it came up positive, and it was not even FMU.
So, tomorrow is 12 DPO, not feeling pregnant in the least, but I am still going to do the test because I planned it, so it is getting done.
-
hi all.thanks for asking about me,still having blood tests, waiting to see if my hormone levels co-operate enough to try transfer...luna-good luck with testing...saffy-hope the test puts your mind at ease,at least about one thing...
-
"Sigh" Bleeding again. Don't like this good news, bad news I go through each time. I just want to have a baby, not play snakes and ladders.
-
oh no, I hope it will be ok indiasmum, plenty of people bleed and still make it -HUGE hugs and stickiest of stickies for you xxxx
-
india'smum: so sorry to hear you are bleeding again, i know what you mean about the up and down of it all, you shouldn't be having all these problems
saffy: did you get your blood test result back ?
matthewsmum: how frustrating for you, what cycle day are you on now ?
sunbeam: it was worth having the mri at least to show up that problem ! i hope you can get it sorted soon !
luna: fingers crossed for you for testing tomorrow ! i hope you get a bfp
crafty: hugs to you, must be hard to only see your family for short periods of time
afm: 5dpo and my boobs are sore so im sure this cycle will end in negative result because that happens 5 days before i start bleeding so that would give me a luteal phase of 10 days again..........*sigh*.......
-
minnie- no their machine was broken so can't get results till tomorrow, my boobs are sore as too, but I did a POAS just to see if a miracle had occured and BFN of course.
Hope your bbs are sore for another reason!
I'm sick of my body letting me down, you must be feeling the same, hugs x
-
saffy-sorry it was a bfn, still pretty early though....minniemouse-still got my fingers crossed for you?is fs going to do scans to track next cycle?(hope it is not needed though)...india's mum- hope the bleeding eases and ends up being okay.
-
Saffy, minniemouse -- you girls are shockingly pessimistic. Boobs sore is a GOOD thing, remeber? It is an early pg symptom... Saffy, if you are 1 day behind me, then you are only day 11, and that is really early, do not give up yet.
Inida's mum - oh no, so sorry you have to go through this roller coaster. When are you seeing your doctor next?
I got a BFN of course, as expected. It is kind of early, but I am not holding out hope, because I do not feel pregnant. I do not know how to explain it, but I swear I just know. With my last pg, the ectopic, I was getting BFNs for a week and I was still convinced I was pregnant even when I was looking at that single line.
-
luna- I know I'm pessimistic, I'm not normally, just with TTC lol! I get sore boobs every cycle so its nothing exciting. Sorry you got a BFN, I know what you mean though I am very sure I'm not pregnant this time either xxx
indiasmum- hope you are ok xx
-
luna-sorry it was a bfn...india's mum-has the bleeding stopped?..saffy-Are you going to poas again or wait for bt?does your clinic do a scan to check lining before transfer?my clinic told me dr likes to go by bt's results to get that info but i would still like to have a scan.I have had 3 transfers & they have told me it looks like they haven't implanted at all ,the reason they've given me is the age (quality) of my eggs.i'm no dr but i'm worried there might be a problem with my lining because once again i'm struggling to get levels up..anyways another bt today,day23
-
:hide: i am here hiding after being reprimanded for being pessimistic lol Luna i would probably be happy to have sore bbs if i was 12 dpo but 5dpo is just too early for it to be a good sign for me, sorry to hear you got a bfn, i hope you get surprised and that changes in the next few days
Saffy: im sorry you got a bfn too and bummer about the machine not working, hope you get the results back today, are you still spotting ?
matthewsmum: how annoying for you this cycle is proving to be so long for you, for fet do they always do it with a "natural" cycle ie no drugs ? as you know i don't think my fertility specialist is keen on doing ultrasounds during the cycle, i hope you get some done though !
india's mum: how are you going ? have you had more blood tests ?
-
Just a quick note !
I have had many pregnancies as you all know and sometimes sore boobs sometimes nothing so don't write yourselves off just yet ! I thought you had to get the sore boobs to be in with a chance of a BFP as in my younger years thats how it happened for me BUT then I got over 38 and all my pregnancies since then well sometimes no sore boobs sometimes sore boobs so I guess what I am trying to say is it means nothing wait until you are at least 14days past O before you trust a BFN !!!!
If I could never tell after 14 pregnancies then who can !
NO TWO PREGNANCIES ARE THE SAME
-
Crafty- you are definately qualified to have the final say as you are the goddess of getting utd!! :happydance:
minnie- still spotting here, my body is reliable in that way lol
matthewsmum- I did a cheeky POAS at 5 this morning cosI couldn't sleep- BFN still. My clinic only does BTs ( but I think my clinic does the least possible of anything lol, but I am p*ssed off wih them @ the moment), my lining has always been ok, are they just checking for the LH surge with the BT? That must be frustrating if they don't even try to implant, I have read about some places 'break open' or 'pierce' the outer shell of the embie before transferring it, to help it 'hatch', because older embryos have a tougher 'shell'.( not sure if any of this is completely accurate) Maybe ask your FS? GL with BT xxxx
AFM- finally got result and progesterone level is 17, so not very good, the nurse was trying to put a good spin on it but i am booked in to see FS in a couple of weeks to discuss future pregesterone support and have arranged to start the OCP when my AF comes, and do another full stim. Now i just need another $4500
-
minniemouse-fs is consistant then.If i can't do transfer this cycle, next i'll try another hormone replacement cycle ,i've had both in the past(natural & hormone replacement),thought with having the acupuncture & oesteopathic sessions recently,i'd give natural another go(as natural as you get with ivf anyway)...saffy-they check estrogen, progesterone & lh surge with the bt's,when i asked nurse about scan she asked what dr i was seeing, then said no,so some dr must agree to it,i'm thinking(probably thinking too much)...crafty-are you going to use the opk's this cycle?...afm-just spend time with some lovely ladies,of course one was pregnant, asing when i'm going to give up on having another baby(so hard for those who haven't gone done the path of loss or ivf or both to understand)glad i have you ladies to type to,thanks...
-
matthewsmum: how rude of her ! did you say i'll be ready to give up when you learn to keep your opinions to yourself (cause i doubt that will happen with her for a long time), you are right thought most people don't understand !
ok so i have more questions for you, so are they looking for your estrogen to get to a certain level (obviously) because that means you have a follicle getting ready ?
saffy: i take it you are on progesterone support from ovulation ? or from transfer i guess ? what more can you do to boost your levels ? take vitex ? the specialist im seeing next month does a lot more monitoring of the cycle than mine so im keen to get to see them and see what they say (that and the fact a friend of mine works there at the ivf clinic so i know she will look after me well)
crafty: thanks for your thoughts.....i think i will still go back under here though :hide: lol
-
get out from under that chair minnie lol!!!
I'm not on progesterone supprt cos I did a natural cycle, some clinics still put you on but mine doesn't, at least now I have some proof to insist on extra support next time. I looked into vitex but I'm not sure how compatible it is with ivf, if I was trying naturally next month I would take it. I hope the specialist you see next has the answers xx
Not sure about the oestrogen but what you said sounds likely.
-
minniemouse-the estrogen level is to do with the lining of the uterus ,for when the embryo goes back in.the lh is to do with pin-pointing 'o',as my embryos are 5 days old, they should be put in my uterus around 5 days after 'o'.the progesterone is for when the embryo gets transferred.Hope i got that right...
-
saffy-sorry i missed your post,my last natural fet ,i wasn't put on prog support either.I was with hrt fet though & also fresh transfer..you would think it wouldn't hurt to be on them
-
Matthew's Mum - That was very rude and blunt of that person. It's amazing how people are so insensitive. In the ER the other day I was telling a nurse about my last miscarriage and she said "Well maybe that's natures way of telling you to give up". A weird thing to say to me considering she knew I was pregnant again and hoping this would work out.
Saffy - I find it odd they didn't put you on progesterone support. I would have thought that would go all out to make every opportunity work. When is your BT?
I'm with Crafty on the breast thing. I've been pregnant 6 times and sometimes they hurt and sometimes they don't. Sometimes you get AF type cramps and sometimes you don't. Every single one is different.
AFM - despite more bleeding yesterday (which stopped almost as soon as it began) and terrible cramping, my HCG has gone up to 8500 which is slightly more than doubled since the last test. I told them I was still having some bleeding, pain and cramping so they did a scan and found a single uterine pregnancy measuring 5w5d. The sonographer said it all looked good and in a good position so that's a positive sign. Unless I have any more problems, I will have another scan when I see the FS in 2 weeks. They said there is still the slight possibility of an additional ectopic but it's unlikely so just let them know if the pain gets worse.
-
saffy: i know very little about ivf but it does seem strange that you don't get progesterone support
indiasmum: wwwhhooo for the ultrasound showing something and your hcg sounds good too ! how did the scan dates compare to what you think you are ?
-
india'smum-so pleased the scan went well...
-
me too india'smum-sounds really good :crossfingers:
minniemouse- with a natural frozen cycle they just put in an embryo after you ovulate and your body is meant to think it happened naturally and produce its own hormones ( cos I wasn't on any drugs) Of course my stupid body can't even do that properly :wall:
matthewsmum- how rude of that person, big hugs xx
OK spotting getting heavier so AF -give me a break and come before the weekend so I can get my BT done Fri morning, get my result and have a glass of wine.
-
moning everyone, got the phone call,i've met criteria,so going to try transfer on Sunday, hope little embie defrosts okay now...saffy-is the spotting still getting heavier?
-
 woohoo matthewsmum- hope it is all smooth sailing for you from now.xxx
Yes, not full af yet though, I think I am going to lie to the clinic and say AF has come Fri even if it hasn't copmpletely then I can get my BT out of the way.
babydust to everyone else, xxx
-
Matthew's Mum - So pleased to hear your news about the transfer. Hoping it all goes well for you.
Saffy - Don't like to plant false hope sweetie, but this pregnancy began with spotting that progressed to bleeding but never quite got to be a period. I got a neg test before a positive too. I still say it isn't over until the blood test.
