Thanks girls. I think this has been one of the longest TWWs ever for me for some reason. I think yesterday if I had been given a dollar for everytime I wondered whether I was pg or not I would have easily made myself $50-$60
Okay so I am officially going nuts! I can't concentrate on my work for wondering about being pg and so convinced that I'm not that I might not even test tomorrow I offically HATE TTC!!!!
If you're going nuts then I'd say theres a good chance you are!!!
Going by past experiences for myself, anyway.
What symptoms did you have yesterday??
GO SLUUTTY EGGS GO!!!!!
I am in a great mood after seeing my FS , he is so much better than my last one- genuinely disappointed that I miscarried.
He has given me a slip for lots of clotting tests, I didn't even have to suggest it so am happy about that. He also wants me to take high dose folate. We discussed transferring 1 or 2 embies ( I have 2 day 6 blasties in the freezer) and we decided on 1, as I can probably fit in 2 FETs this year and move onto a stim cycle early next year ( won't need to). He wasn't overly raving about day 6 embryos but I have to use them just in case, and Bengal got UTD with twins from 2 Day 6 blasties so its not unheard of.
Now I just want AF to come ( not due for a week) so I can get on with it. FS offered me to drop the letrazole and do a natural FET cycle, cos I told him it made me crazy, but I don't trust my body to do the right thing. I just have to take hte letrazole, suck it up and manage the crazies, as long as I know its going to happen I can hibernate for a few weeks.
Minnie- thats good about your AHM, I know it doesn't solve anything though.xx
Does not look like the ****ty eggs and super sperm made it this month, BFNthis morning as I suspected. I will test again on sunday just to be sure but feel I'm out this month. I almost don't care about the result I'm just so glad the TWW is nearly over, I was driving myself insane. I even started a TTC journal last night in an attempt to calm my brain down. I will go and see my donor on saturday and have a chat with him about us doing IUI after next cycle at the new FS. I will make the appointment soon hopefully he will have some good new ideas for us and a better attitude, bit over my current FS and a second opinion is always useful.
Saffy - I'm so glad your new FS is sounding so positive and proactive. Lets hope its the change we both needed.
Thank you all for being there and caring it is so good to have you all here for support
Saffy yay for your fs
Sunbeam don't give up yet sorry I put pressure on you to test. I just can't help it I love pee sticks ...
Matthews mum hugs back to you babe
My fs is fully keen for us to move to ivf I have had no type of assistance whatsoever before just seems a massive jump from nothing to ivf? What do you think? All my tests have been great dh has some dodgy swimmers but has managed to get me UTD 3 times in 14 months.... I know ivf will be better quality embs to put in etc... But I am scared. What do you all think?
Joeve have you thought about IUI? I think for cost effectiveness they want 10 mil on the sperm count, or something like that. if you do IuI with injectables, you will learn what meds your body needs before you get to IVF. Think of it as a less expensive trial run that still has a chance of pregnancy.
sunbeam: sorry to hear you got bfn hopefully that changes in the next few days
saffy: good to hear your fs is supportive & you are happy with him
joeve: i asked my fs that exact question, she was of the opinion ivf wouldn't make any difference to our chances of a take home baby because getting pregnant wasn't our problem, it is holding onto them that is & she didn't think ivf would change that, even after i mentioned putting the "best" embies in. there are a few girls on here that have had multiple losses & some have done ivf but finally got that sticky pregnancy (naturally). i wish i knew what the secret was but my thoughts are for some reason some eggs are better than others and you just need to get that right one
I agree Minnie, I don't think IVF neccessarily helps with preventing losses cos they grow embies to 5days, the ones that 'drop off' before that would never have implanted in a natural pregnancy anyway, so I would say IVF would have the same chance as natural pregnancy of a m/c.
I guess the question is , is how long it takes you to get pregnant, cos ivf can obviously speed up that process ( supposedly, anyway, once you get all the police checks etc). It seems that 3 pregnancies in 14 months is not bad at all, time wise, have you tried clomid before? Don't be scared of ivf, its not that hard or bad, just expensive.
p.s. joeve clear your inbox!

Joeve - I'm with the other girls if you are getting pg then IVF is not really likely to help. Have they even been monitoring you after you get pg, do you get progesterone support? IUI might be useful as it times everything perfectly and is lots less expensive. Personally I hated IVF and will never do it again but i'd do IUI in a heartbeat. So my advise would be think about IUI and use the money you save not doing IVF to put towards stuff to help bub stick like acupuncture, herbs or a nice relaxing holiday.
