KrisGray, I sympathise with you in knowing when to stop, or even when to broach the topic of when to stop. I always wanted two children. My partner has three from a previous relationship, but we've now done three stim cycles and one FET, and we're in the middle of another FET which is extremely interventionist ... and it's really difficult. I don't want to complain too much to my DH as I worry he will say to give it a rest. The way I feel now I think if I could just fall pregnant with one bub, I would be happy with that. GL to you.
Just a quick update from me for those who are following... We saw our FS this afternoon for our follow up appointment. When I asked, he said the endo was stage III. He showed me the pathology report for the 5 pieces sent away and the two largest bits were each 35mm in size! Other than that he said I should take a month to heal and then come back in 4 weeks to discuss another IVF. He also said that, now that the surgery was done, he is confident he can get us pg before the end of this year. I'd like to hold him to that.
Melissal & Murray Cod - try the True Blood series, Twilight Books were great but I've found the True Blood ones fantastic. As for the 'What to Expect' I've only read the pre-conception pages and have vowed not to read further until a BFP ;-)
Melttc - fingers crossed for the next week or so that you have coming up, and frankly it was probably good you turned down the Phillipines trip coz do you really want to see ping pong balls being shot out of someone's clacker during a seedy stage show?.. (hmm, I'm probably just speaking for myself there!)
Juniper: glad to hear you are doing fine now after your procedure (and AF came early for me too after the procedure, so it was like I had a few days break after the bleeding from the procedure and then Bam! AF!)
Lairdoz & KrisGray: hope things get better with your DH's, bloody men!
As for the posts relating to how many to transfer back in, I would love to see statistics on whether chances are increased if more than 1 is transferred back as my FS told me that it does not increase the likelihood of pregnancy. It doesn't help that I am totally in love with all the cuties on Jon & Kate plus 8!
AFM: EPU is this Friday, at my scan yesterday he said there was about 5 or 6 good follies on each side, and another scan is booked Wed morning. I'm still peeing like a racehorse and am so full of water that I've totally lost my appetite, so am getting my protein thru Sustagen. Blastie transfer, if all goes well, is next Wednesday.

Oh, and an update on me. We transferred a blasty on Friday. My bt is next thursday (April Fools!). Do other clinics make you wait so long for the bt? It'll equate to 18dpo (well, sort of...). I'm feeling absolutely exhausted. I don't know if it's the hormones or if my thyroid hormone levels are too low due to the extra estrogen.
ETA - CK77, from memory...these are some stats from my clinic (can only remember a few, mostly for my age bracket, but suggests that, yes, it does increase your odds of getting pregnant, at least statistically...)
Marcellus - thanks for those stats - totally not the impression my FS gave me (i'm not at all surprised), but lucky for me he is overseas so my EPU and ET are being done by his colleague who seems much easier to deal with, so I will broach the subject tomorrow morning at my next scan.
Wow, Juniper, good news that your FS is sounding so confident after removing your endo. 35mm sounds pretty big!
Marcellus, I'm doing another HRT FET - an ethanol oestradiol one. As I say, my new FS is very interventionist. I am sure he suspects I have endo, as he wanted to do another lap/hysteroscopy/dye studies but I only had one about 15 months ago and nothing was found. He's got me on so many drugs - quite a few for my underactive thyroid - but others for suspected endo and others for I don't really know why, to be honest! He's already done one endometrial biopsy, and threatened to do another but changed his mind on the day of my scan. I've done multiple BTs for my progesterone and estrogen levels. I've got a HSG scheduled for this Friday. I'm on aspirin and the `roids' and will be on clexane in a few days time. Throw in a patch to place on my foot nightly, a Chinese herb, multivitamin, folic acid, an anti-inflammatory ... and the list goes on! And I naively thought FETs were easier, or more natural, than stim cycles! Still, if it works all will be worth it. Re your question about when different clinics suggest BT, I have noticed some girls are lucky and don't seem to have to wait as long but with my clinic I have always had to wait 14 days post transfer. This can be a longer wait if a blasty is transferred as opposed a day 3 being transferred. Sucks hey? GL to you!
Brunette - wow, can i ask why so many drugs? I'm doing a FET cycle this month and haven't needed to take anything. All they are doing is BT's till i ovulate. I can only imagine what all that is doing to your body, do you get many side effects from all that? I guess it is all worth it if it gives you your bundle of joy.
juniper - It's good news they found something, makes it worth while. Your FS sounds pretty confident, that is promising. Enjoy your 4 weeks drug free!!

Loops - sorry it's not the right outcome after all that, but you must be relieved to know one way or the other. Stay positive and hopefully we see you back real soon.
KrisGray - I hope DH comes around, although you have technically had three transfers they have all been from the same egg collection. Many clinics and FS say that 3 stim cycles is the norm before an IVF will work. I would definaltely look at other FS or clinics (if you can afford it), I can't believe they don't do anything on weekends. The only thing my clinic won't do on the weekend is EPU. I'm with hunter IVF which is affiliated with sydney IVF, and if they are anything like the hunter clinic i can't fault them. There is a clinic in sydney that does IVF and accupuncture (if your into that) in the one practice, not sure if you have checked that one out also. GL with your decision.

AFM - Had BT yesterday and levels are rising so have another BT tomorrow. I'm a school teacher and have had little bandaids on my arms for the past two weeks and sometimes where they take the blood turns into bruises, the kids have wanted to know if i'm sick becasue of all the tests! Priceless!!! they are quite concerned. As long as they don't think i'm a junkie!!!!
Hi Renee, I know what you mean about bruising around veins and feeling like people suspect you might be using! Ha, what a laugh hey? I'm on a lot of drugs because we've done a few IVF cycles now with no success. Apparently we're `hard core' according to our new FS. Plus I have an underactive thyroid and I always spot between cycles, so I need hormone replacement support. Like you, for my last cycle (which was my first FET) all I needed to do was have two BTs and then the transfer, and then hormone replacement in the form of pessaries and tabs. It was a breeze - but not the result we were wanting! GL to you for this cycle!
