Have a nice long weekend girls x
Hi blossom, we must have posted at the same time. how you going?
Hi girls. Yes your eyes do not deceive you, i am up at six am on sat of long weekend. Cant sleep, i am wired, and here's why - picked up all my meds from FS about two weeks ago all good! Waiting for AF, although we thought we would give the natural cycle a go...DH has lost 15 kgs inthe last 4 months - he got off the grog and coffee and i put him on menevit, so i thought maybe his swimmers would improve. Well, anyway, last tues, i went out to lunch andwhen i got back to work, i went to the loo and when i wiped, two spots of bright red blood - thought that was the end. Nothing further that day, but the next morning, a bit more, probably about five or six spots of bright red blood. I was sad, but at the same time, thought that at least i could start the meds the next day! Anyway, since then, nothing. So.......i was wondering what the hell?? With DS i had implantation bleeding, at the same time (9 dpo) but it was brown. So i wasnt sure??? Anyway, fast forward to 4am this morning, couldnt sleep anymore, i thought - this is it (even though i made a deal with myself to wait until sunday-heck, i figure those deals are made to be broken) and POAS. Sat there in the freezing cold, and yep, its :bfp:.!!! Freakin heck, who would've thought!!!! The thing is, it is also DH's birthday today, so i cant wait to tell him, he will be so happy - he struggled with guilt of male infertility. Also, because i turned 40 three weeks ago, i am proud my old eggs can still cut it!!!! YAY!!!!
So excited, sorry for the me post, but its all i can think about. Bless to you all, and i will let you know in the next couple of days how we get on.
N2l - congrats on your test results - i cant imagine how stressful that was.
Love to all youwonderful strong women!!
:leap: Jaye jaye that is freaking awesome news!!!!! Well done you guys - wishing you a h&h 9 months, chick!!! Awesome b'day pressie for hubby too - YAY!!!
N2L - so soooo glad that your scan was all ok. God, this whole ivf game makes for enough stress without following it up with a cancer scare. Hoping you can have a relaxing stress-free weekend to recover from it all.
Teirae - ooooohhh, so jealous about your little puppy. Want a puppy so so much. However, we have an old fat cat who wouldn't be able to handle an exuberant lil pup but I WILL have one one day! Great that your FS will transfer 2 embies. I'm with you on that one - yeah higher risk of multiple pregnancy, but quite frankly, if it gives you a higher chance of pg, I don't care!! We will be the same this cycle - I didn't think my FS would even entertain the idea of transferring 2 but she will. Funny you say that you have always seen twins in your future. A friend and I went to a performance by a medium last year and a friend of my friend joined us. This woman sees things and is very spiritual - I don't know her from a bar of soap but at the end, she leaned across and said to me that I have had twins with me the entire performance. And she has said this again to my friend about my twins. I don't know if it was my molar twins or a sign of things to come. I hope its a sign of what is to come.
Nothing happening here, just hanging out until the 27th to bring on the needles :)
Okay guys, I have found what I think is a really good Canadian site on fertility. If you would like the link, PM me. In the meantime, I have taken some of their information on diet (which is well researched using various studies) and provided it here for those who are interested. I think I am going to give it a go.
Hope you are all well x
FERTILITY DIET
The most comprehensive study to date looking at diet and fertility is the Harvard Nurses’ Health Study that followed over 18,000 women in a long-term research project looking at the effects of diet and other factors on the development of chronic disease. Chavarro and Willett looked at the fertility data from this study in The Fertility Diet (2008). During the study, each woman was trying to have a baby. Over eight years of follow-up, the study found that most did get pregnant. However, one in six women encountered some problems getting pregnant. The results were incredible – even to the researchers – who found a six fold increase in fertility in people who ate a certain diet and maintained a certain lifestyle. Specifically, the study found that women who had the lowest risk of ovulation problem-related infertility (or the highest fertility) ate a plant based, low GI, whole foods diet focusing more on vegetable protein and monounsaturated fats. Women with the highest fertility exercised more, took a multivitamin mineral supplement and ate at least one serving of high fat dairy each day.

what is everyone up to this long weekend?
Hello there
Well I'm back for another cycle. I picked up the meds this morning and I start an Antag cycle tonight.
N2L I'm glad you're scan was clear. What a relief.
Teirae and MelissaI I decided to transfer 2 after 4 single transfers and with only one pg. The odds of me getting a mutilple pg weren't huge. With the fifth transfer only one implanted so I will transfer 2 again this time if I get 2.
JayeJaye - What a great surprise. Best wishes for a h & h pg. Keep us posted.
Hi Saffy & Loops Looking forward to seeing what you're both up to.
Hi to everyone else, hears to a great June/July of TTC!
xx HB
i'm just sening some good vibes to all my old friends in LTTC.:bluedust::pink-babydust:
hope we get some more BFP's in here soon .
x x
Hey girls, hope you all had awesome long weekend!
Happybaby - best of luck for this cycle, hope it all goes well!
Where is everyone else at? Seems a bit quiet in here at the moment.
Afm, told dh the news on sat morning, he was so emotional, cried lots, couldnt believe it. I am so happy for us, but also for him! He is bursting at the seams to tell everyone, but i have sworn him to secrecy until the first scan. Booked in for blood tomorrow. Nurse was excited, andtold me that dh losing weight would have helped, and getting off the grog. So our stim cycle is on hold, pending all good (touch wood).
So, a few weeks of nervousness still to go, i pray everything is good!
Will let you know how we get on. Good luck to you all. Bless. J
Hey Ladies,
I hope you don't mind me joining in :hello:!
DH and I have decided to try for #2 and had our FS appointment this morning to start a natural FET cycle... I have already had a Day 2 BT and go back for a Day 10 BT on Tuesday, 21 June.
We were really, really lucky and had 5 snowbubs left from out last stim in which we were blessed with our DS :loveshower: from a fresh transfer.
Bit nervous about starting AC again but am a little excited as well....
Jayejae - O.M.G. :o Wow - how wonderful!!! I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when you told your DH :). Such a wonderful surprise to be able to give!!!
I will have to read back to catch up where everyone is at so will attempt some personals next time :)
Hi coral.
Good luck with TTC #2. good job you have some in the freezer so you dont have to stim!!
AFM blood test today all good HCG a whooping 1354, progesterone 104. On exactly same day (17 dpo) with DS it was 534 and progesterone 64, so this one is a sticky one!! She thinks i am 5 weeks plus, but i told her that cant be possible, so having a scan end next week to confirm. I am sure i am only 4 1/2, so will see. Glad to have good HCG numbers to get past the next hurdle, iykwim!
Have a great weekend girls, babydust to you all...
Morning everyone
I had my first ultrasound and blood test this morning and I start the Orgalutran injections tomorrow. I'm glad it's all starting again. Waiting to get over my last mc was torture.
JayeJaye Congrats on great hcg and prog numbers!!
Coral All going well we should be in the TWW together. Best of luck with the natural FET.
JBM Thanks for the babydust. I read the pg thread to keep up with everyone and hoping oneday I'll be in there too.
Hope everyone has a great weekend Teirai, Loops, Saffy, N2L
x HB
Hi everyone :)
How are you all?
Lovely to see you back Happybaby (but not iykwim). Hope your stay is very short - along with the rest of us!!
Bit of a "me" post tonight. Been feeling a bit flat today. I am 40 years old today :( It is bittersweet. DP and DD have been lovely. DP gave me an iPad2 which is very cool. I think DD is giving me some of my favourite perfume (not sure yet! She is at the school disco!) and we are going out for dinner and margaritas. BUT 40 is such a line in the sand fertility wise. I really thought I would be UTD by now (at least I really wanted to be preggers by 40 :( ) That clock is just ticking faster and faster it seems. It is hard to celebrate when it is such a bad number fertility wise.
Oh well....Sook over.
Anyhoo, hope you are all happy and have a lovely Friday night.
Take care x
Happy Hatchday N2L I hope despite all those feelings you did have a good day and got spoilt.
I have a FS appointment tomorrow to start my FET. DH and I have decided we will t/f our last two embryos. So we are putting all our eggs in the one basket (literly) all or nothing!! I'm going to be working away for the next 8months, so we wont be able to do anything after that for a while, so we might as well go all out!
on a random annoying (funny) note... DH and I aren't going to find out the sex of our littleone until he/she is born. So we had a nick name picked out to call our baby until then. Well yesterday my dad bought a new 'pet' its one of those robotic vacuum cleaners that go around and clean up by themselves, and called it the same name we were going to call our baby!!!!! he thinks I can still use it..but I dont think I can, cause then I'll be telling the little one your nickname was afer a vacuum cleaniner =\
Ok i dont know what the frak is going on but im sat in the waiting room of my fs and out of the 10 ppl in the room i am the only one without a fraking baby in my arms. Im serious there is like a mothers group or something going on!!!!
what the frak!!!!
fine they all come to show their success? like a reunion? let the drs and nurses know the outcome? fine but do it down the street in a cafe not in the waiting room of a fraking fertility specialist!!!!!!!!!
:'( :'( X-(
sent via my vortex manipulator
They are most likely there to try for a second child.
Hi Lovely Ladies
That must be hard Tei - but at least I guess you are in at the FS - your on the road and hopefully in a few weeks you can celebrate and be happy like those mums are. Goodluck!
Happy Birthday for the 17th N2L - same day as my step-dads. He just turned 60 and we had a big fun party Saturday night. Plenty of people get PG in there 40s so dont give up hun, keep trying. for you that it is soon!
HB ~ all the best with your cycle xo
JayJaye ~ Congratulations - awesome you got a natural miracle! :happyforyou:
Coral ~ great to have you back! All the best with number 2! Hope you dont have to do another stim - that one of your snow bubs works!
Mel, JBM and anyone else I may have missed ~ hi and hope you are all well xo
AFM ~ have had a busy couple of weekends which has been great as its kept my mind off TTC for a bit - a nice break. The funerals not so good but had a great QB'day long weekend and then my families charity ball this weekend and my step-dads 60th - both fantastic nights. Starting with accupuncture again soon and DH is also going to try it, after he got his tattoo I said if he can handle that he should be able to handle acc. :)
Hi everyone I am still around, getting into the action bit of my cycle now!
N2L- happy birthday for the 17th!! I know you are not where you want to be, but hopefully this year things will turn around xx ( Jealous of your IPad2)
happybaby- nice to see you again, hope this antag cycle goes brilliantly for you xx
jayejaye- congratulations! Hope all is going well
coral- hi, you must be having you BT this week- good luck! We might transfer around the same time!
teriae- hopefully it will be you sitting in there with a baby soon. Will they let you transfer two this time?
Loops-haha, your DH will def be able to handle acupuncture if he got a tattoo ( although I don't have one so I don't know, but i presume it would hurt more than acupuncture!!)
AFM- had an US scan (doing FET cycle) today- interesting- the guy doing it was a trainee and really nervous, I don't care at all about having a trainee, but he couldn't find my uterus!!! I said I was pretty sure it was still in there, can't remember it falling out recently! Anyway, follies good, I've got an 18mm one so the nurse thinks I might O soon, have to start the OPKs today, then BT when it is positive. My only concern is my lining was 6mm, so got into an acu appt today to try and boost that. I am hoping the trainee just underestimated it. So here I am sitting with a bursting bladder, waiting for 4 hours to be up ( the opks they gave me need at least 4 hr between toilet visit) I am not good at holidng on- 45 mins to go!!!!
nah, like seriously 10 couples all with babies about a month old. they werent there for treatment...like check ups or something..i dont know i thought once you got pg you were free of the fs.
Saffy ~ my folly was 15mm and the chick said they like seem to O at 18mm...so you must be about to do it!!! we will be doing it together =) gl!!! oh and yea, we are t/f 2. how about you?
Saffy - at you being pretty sure you still had a uterus!!! Bet the guy felt like a bit of a plonker not being able to find a uterus!! Woohoo for o-ing not being far off, fx your lining gets nice and thick
Teirae - wow that sucks about all the woman with their babies - I agree, the waiting room of an FS not really the best place. Last time I was at our clinic picking up my drugs, there was a couple there showing off their baby and when they left, the nurses actually apologised to me and asked if I was ok which I thought was really sweet. How exciting about transferring 2 embies - if we have 2 ok ones, our FS may do. Will most def be pushing hard for it.
N2L - happy (belated) birthday to you, chicken, hoping you had a lovely day regardless of it being your 40th
Happybaby - good luck for this cycle - don't think I'll be too far behind you. What sort of timeframe are you looking at? I am doing a flare cycle this time so all the nasty wee jabs will be over and done with quickly, We are booked for EPU the week of July 11.
Coral - yay for trying for number 2!!! Good luck and hope all is good for your FET :)
Loops - glad you managed to get a bit of a break and woohoo for starting the AP. I must get off my butt to sort that out for me. How did you manage to convince your DH to give it a go? My DH has a few tatts but (strangely) is a major needlephobe so I don't think I'd get him anywhere near an acupunturist!!! How is yur DH going after his accident? Hoping he is all good now.
Well, I had the BEST phonecall today. So, I've mentioned we have had a fair bit of bad news ivf-wise over the last few weeks. Well, can't do much about DH and his DNA frag results but I have been stressing big time over the fact that my FS has insisted on me taking aspirin as part of the Colorado when I have a disorder that causes me to bleed (and make it difficult for an embryo to burrow its way in successfully). She didn't really seem interested in even investigating this disorder because I am "too difficult". Anyway, today, I get this phonecall completely out of the blue from the secretary of a kickar$e haematologist to arrange an appointment next week. I am so so relieved because now that we have this dr on board, there is absolutely nothing more we can do to help with this cycle. This guy is awesome and knows everything about everything. The sort of dr that you see and are 110% reassured that you are in the best possible hands. Finally, there is a little glimmer of hope on the horizon. Whew :pray::pray:
Hi all,
I have been MIA for a while as I still hsve my hand in a splint and have had been struggling with the whole TTC thing, basically in a massive slump!.
N2L - Happy belated birthday. I hope that you managed to get through it OK and so happy to see that your tests proved all is OK, what a scare for you. I sooooooooooooo hope that this will be your year, I really do.
Melissa - glad you are going to get some answers and that you will be in good hands. How did they come to call out of the blue?Do yu mind me asking what your blood condition is? I have found that I am homozygous MTHFR and also have anti nuclear antibodies and was considering seeing a haemotologist but FS seems to think that clexane on next cycle should be enough. I am really nervous about this tho.
Hi to all you other lovelies, sorry for lack of persies, but my hand isa aching just writing this short post. I hope you are all well with where you are at. Will hopefully get back in the loop (Hi Loops!)when I get this stupid splint off. It has been a shocker month, also had a skin cancer taken out last week, racking up that Medicare rebate that's for sure.
xxx
N2L - just looked at our avvies, it appears our husbands are twins!
Saff ~ also  reading your post about the trainee. It's great we can laugh at these things. I hope the accupuncture went well yestie and your lining thickens - all the best, still :crossfingers: tight. Yes I think a tattoo would hurt more than accu but I reckon a different kind of hurt. Oh well will find out soon as I'm getting a tattoo also.
Mel ~ we have some friends that also have male factor issues and they are now PG after their 3rd IVF and they both did accupuncture so I think that is what convinced DH - which is great! Thanks for asking how he is going - he's pretty much recovered, just waiting for the all clear from the physio to go back to work full time - should be no later than end of July.
That is fantastic news about your new haematologist DR :D All the best and FX'd tight for you! How did you find out you had this Colorado thing? Please excuse my ignorance.
Tantee ~ hope your hand heals very quickly and you feel spritely again and feel happy to really start TTC again :crossfingers:
AFM ~ Spoke to IVF nurse yestie and she said I could have got a blood test referral from them - when I got my last natural BFP - so now I know if it happens again I can get a BT done.
Also booked in and have dates for IVF in September YAY :)
Morning ladies
Well I had a stressful night last night. I had another scan yesterday which showed the follicles had grown nicely over the weekend. My FS nurse rang in the afternoon to say my lining wasn't thick enough and they were thinking of doing the egg collection and freezing the embryos until my lining was the right thickness. I spent the night worrying if it's better to go with fresh embryos with a thinner lining or frozen with a thicker lining. I had to go back for another scan this morning and I was prepared to argue my case that I still want a fresh transfer.
Anyway turns out my lining has thickened up over night is easily the 6mm recommended size so all this worrying over nothing. I'd drunk two cups of Raspberry leaf tea last night because I read it had helped. It was too late for chinese herbs and acupuncture.
So looks like egg collection is Thursday which makes this the fastest cycle I've ever done. My FS increased the Puregon from 200 to 300 so maybe this has made a difference but of course it doesn't guarrantee many mature eggs.
With my last Antagonist cycle I remember having a lot more follicles but less eggs than the first down reg cycle.
Tantee Good to hear from you, sorry you have a sore hand and hope it heals quickly.
Melissa What is the difference with the Flare cycle? Is it what we call an Antagonist with 2 types of injections? I hope you get some answers from the specialist. My FS has also put my on low dose of aspirin if I get pg.
N2L Hope you had a great b'day. I turn 40 in 18 months and I wonder if I will ever be a mum before then. It's my cutoff date as we will have been ttc for 5 years. Can't belive how fast it's coming around.
Teirae Yes that's very depressing being surrounded by new borns at the clinic. We just had to resign the big consent form for ivf treatment as our clinic likes them to be updated every 2 years. There is a section we have to consent to the ongoing treatment and research into ivf patients and children.
Saffy Glad you're going well with the FET cycle and that you still have a uterus.
Loops Yay for ivf in Sept. FX you don't need it.
Hi Coral. Jayejaye and anyone else I've missed.
xx HB
happybaby- I had some lining concerns too, just another thing to stress out about ;) Good luck for EPU- that has come around quick! My acupuncturist said that it grows 2mm a day so hopefully that means ours are getting thicker as we speak.
Loops -Sept will be here quickly, its almost July now x
AFM- sooooo annoyed at my old clinic. When I saw my nurse yesterday she said they still haven't received my DH's child protection order form, even though I have spent countless phonecalls asking my old clinic to send it ( and I don't want to talk to them on a daily basis- that is why I swapped clinics!!!!) So I was shocked yesterday to be told it still wasn't there, I thought it had been sorted weeks ago. I phoned them yesterday and the receptionist said she would fax it straight away. Well, lo and behold I just got a phone call from the new clinic asking me if I had rung them yet-WTF?? How hard is it to fax a piece of paper. The nurse must have heard the ****ed off tone to my voice because she said she would call them and sort it. I refuse to ring them again GRRRRR.
It would be easier to move interstate than post a freaking form from one clinic to another. Vent over :D
Thanks lovely ladies, already feels like its gunna come around fast. Hope we get good tax returns to help pay for it - FX'd.
HB ~ yay for being able to do a fresh cycle, :crossfingers: hope all goes well
Saff ~ its so frustrating when its something so simple and no-one will just get it done. We've had a lot of the same crap with the Insurance and Drs associated with DHs accident. I feel your anger! :goodluck:
Loops - woohoo for being booked in again!!!! Hope the next few months fly by for you so you can jump back on the rollercoaster! As for me being on the colorado protocol, when we had recurrent m/c and implantation failure testing last year, my ana came back really high. We can't find any reason for it so just in case, we are doing colorado. Which is basically aspirin for the whole cycle, steroids and antibiotics for five days post trigger plus extra oestrogen to hopefully dampen down my immune system a bit, stop it rejecting any poor wee embies trying to burrow in ;). I had heard vaguely about it and I talked to one of the consultants at work who has done ivf herself and she suggested I talk to my FS about it.
Happybaby - great that EPU is so close!! Hoping you get a nice little haul. I think antagonist and microflare are different - at least that is what my little handbook from the clinic says. I have been on the pill, just cos my clinic isn't that big so I need to fit in with them but on Monday morning, I start with a teeny tiny dose of Lucrin equivalent and have this twice a day. On Wednesday, I carry on with this little dose but start 300u Puregon as well. Bit worried about the Puregon dose as for me, it seems massive. Anyway, hoping this will be short and sweet for me too. I think the theory behind this protocol is that the small dose suppresses ovulation but works with your body's natural FSH to hopefully produce more eggs. Or something like that anyway.
Saffy - grrrrr that is SO annoying of your old clinic. Did they finally send it off?
Tantee - hope your hand is starting to feel better. So much for things being less stressful taking a break, what, with that, your skin cancer and bloods. Glad you have a plan in place for next cycle regarding your results though and I guess you have a possible and treatable reason why things haven't worked so far which is great. Here's hoping the clexane does the trick next time round. I have the ana thing too, hence the colorado. This other blood thing I have is complete opposite to it though and causes me to bleed a bit too much. Its really rare (literally 1 in a million - I am special hahaha) and we are still waiting on the genetics for it. But it is either . . . wait for it . . . dysfibrinogenaemia, hypofibrinogenaemia or hypodysfibrinogenaemia. I can't even pronounce them so how could I possibly have it!!!! My sister has it as well and she had a haem referral and I think they need to see me because it is familial and we are both affected. Looking back, I think that just about every single person on my mothers side of the family has it - lucky we are a small family :p
A big HI to everyone else out there - Tantee and N2L  at your twin hubbies!!
Six more sleeps till the jabbing begins. Bring it on
MelissaI ~ Hi! Great to hear some of your stuff is being followed up. The best of luck for your bloodtest!! and yay for jabbing next week too!!! Hope they agree to let you do 2 aswell.
Loops ~ Not long to go!! how awesome to have a start date!! =D I've never tried accu, but have thought about it alot.. I have heaps of tattoos so would be curious to see the comparrison, altho they only stick the needles in once dont they. I heard accu is pretty much painless isn't it? hope your hubby likes it=) good on him for doing stuff!!! mine seems to think a hug after i have broken down and asked for one is 'supporting'. hehe he is still a great man tho!
Saffy ~ OOO that drives me insane!! Usless people and clinics!! good on you for getting rid of them though (even though they are still messing you up!) Hope they sorted it out and you can finally be done with them! Are you close to the border?? cause NSW we didn't have to do any screening or testing or anything!! we could be druggo pros who sell the children we get them to make for us for all they know (not that we are!!!!) how are your POAS OPT going?? are you as confussed as me?
Happybaby ~ All the best for tomorrow!! Sending you all the full follicles and mature egg vibes I can!!!!! We never had anything saying stuff about further research/follow up. the more I hear my clinic seems pretty laid back and relaxed. for example the only blood tests i've ever had were my initial ones for my bloodgroup and immunity and cariolipid etc.. and then a test for my hcg. seems like everyone else has so many more and more paperwork etc.. dont know if thats good or bad, i am pretty happy with them though.
Hi N2L! Jayejaye! Coral!
AFM ~ I started Ovulation prediction tests yesterday. I got pretty excited when 2 lines came up, mainly because in my whole life it is the first POAS test I have done that has had 2 lines!! all I have ever got before is one fat line, not even the hint of a 2nd line. so that was exciting. I'm a bit confused about them though, just like everyone else!! cause the nurse said you can get 2 lines but not be +ve, she said its only +ve if the test line is the same or darker than the control. So yesterday the lines were exactly the same as first glance but when i focused on it the test line was only ever so slightly less than the test. so im not sure. I waited til today to see if it would be darker, but todays was heaps lighter. so i think yesterday was it. I'm waiting til 9am now so i can phone them and see what they think. so based on that FET will be early next week =).
On a not so exciting note, I think our puppy is going to fall through =( first down side was we wanted a male, and we were promised first pick. well she ended up having 11 puppies (1 still born) 8 females and 1 male!! and then we were told well actually they have decided to give the owner of the dad the first pick (which i understandable) and they think it is unlikely he will pick the male cause girls are more wanted for breeding... but yea, he still might pick the boy and DH is dead set on only getting a male. that plus all my msging and calling and asking when can we check them out have been responded by 'ill find out' and then nothing.... DH said last night 'well screw them, they obviously dont want to sell the puppies we will find one elsewhere' =( we will see though...
Tei- I'm not happy with my opk either, have had only faint lines since monday, its not getting any darker and the nurse thought I would O Mon or Tues, I hope it hurries up soon, as I only have 2 tests left i think. I have never used this brand before ( its called serotec, the clinic gave them to me) but have never had a problem getting a positive before. I just want things to go right with this cycle, anyway, trying not to panic yet. What did the nurse say when you rang them? Also, I would tell those dog peopl to go jump, they sound unrealiable.
Melissa- glad you are jabbing soon, its exciting when you start. I have washed my hands of being involved in the clinic anymore, the new clinic will have to sort it, its ridiculous having to do it anyway, as Tei says.
Loos- oh yeah a tax return would be good, FX yours is a big one
hi n2l, happybaby, tantee, anyone else
FM- got a bad bladder UTI yesterday, but am on top of it already which is good, makes POAS less appealing anyway!
Hey Ladies,
Wow! I meant to post the other day (even wrote half of it) and then fell short of time at work (so going to get pulled up on internet usage soon!!) … I just logged on and you ladies have been busy!
If I get confused with where anyone is up to… apologies in advance!
Teriae - That's tuff :(. Whenever I had my FS appointment (in separate rooms opposite the IVF side where I would see the nurses) I always found it hard to see all the preggie bellies and new mums in reception. I used to just sit there and dream that one day it would be me... Sending you some :goodluck: vibes that it won't be long before you are there.
Did you ring your clinic about the OPK this morning? Hopefully you have been given the green light to proceed with the FET and have a date booked – exciting stuff !
Total bummer about the puppy situation…. So frustrating when you are relying on someone and they stuff you around - arrgghh. I hope it works out for you and you get your little puppy as originally promised!
MelissaI – Who would have thought that anyone would be excited about jabbing oneself everyday, he, he! Sounds so strange but I have been there too . Yippee, for being able to start another cycle soon!
Saffy - Ha, ha - I can so sympathise with you... I am no good at holding either ! Yay - it will be great to have a 2ww buddy! I hope the acupuncture does the trick for your lining and it gets nice and thick so your little one can snuggle in tight! I’m not quite at ovulating stage yet but I am not sure if my clinic even uses OPK? So far, I am just having BT’s… I hope that 2nd line gets darker for you soon. Glad to hear you are feeling better (UTI’s are horrible).
That is so slack of your old clinic to do that…. I was getting frustrated just reading about it! I hope it has now been sorted out for you… so bad!
Loops - Thx . So glad to hear that you have been having a good time of late (except for the funeral of course). Good on hubby for giving the acupuncture a go! My DH was the same and is a scaredy cat of needles but ended up falling asleep every time, ha, ha!
So happy for you that you have booked your IVF dates for September!!! I know I always feel better when I have plan in place . It’s good that you know your IVF nurses were willing to do a BT with a natural BFP... I knew they would be cool :).
happybaby - Yay for starting another cycle and sorry to hear about the mc :hugs:. It was always the waiting in-between cycles that I found hard. Patience is something I am not good at. I hope we are 2ww'ing together as well…. the more the merrier!
So glad to hear that your lining decided to thicken up on time – yay!! I haven’t heard about Raspberry leaf tea but will have to remember it as my last FET my lining was on the thin side and I needed estrogen patches to help thicken it up. Good Luck :goodluck: for the egg collection on Thursday… I hope you have lots of lovely matured just right eggs collected!
N2L - Happy B'day for the 17th also!!! I hope you are feeling a little better now ..
AFM – Nothing too exciting to report… I had my day 10 BT on Tuesday, 21 and have another BT booked in for Thursday, 23. Apparently, my estrogen was low at 204 so still early in my cycle and no huge indication of ovulation yet. Hopefully, tomorrow’s result will be more positive!
Saffy ~ Yea the clinic supplied me with my OPK. I cant remember what the brand is though.. The nurse said if you are 2nd guessing it then it must be it, like when i thought it was really close but wasnt sure, she said well if its close enough for you to think maybe..then it would be. I'm not quite ready to give up on them...might be different if we were having a baby...but i need something to shower in love and attention, and while we havent got a baby i was keen on the puppy...but yea, realising i shouldnt get my hopes up.
Rest up with your UTI, no need me telling you all the good things you should do, cause i'm sure you know them all ;)
Coral ~ DH said the same thing, 'dont worry baby you will be one of them soon' my reply 'yea i cant wait to rub all there noses in it!' (i was still a bit angry =( I dont really mean it). Heres to you ovulating soon!
So I called the FS =) she said sounds like yesterday was a +ve, so FET has been orgaised for Monday. Haven't got a time yet, but its going to happen =)
:crying:I think my cycle is being cancelled, I haven't had a pos OPK and now i've got no line at all, the nurse thinks we might have missed my O, just had a blood test to confirm.
i cannot believe my body is doing this, what the **** is wrong with me??
I've been crying all morning, I'm so sick of the constant disappointments.
Saffy, I'm so sorry that you are going through this torture, fingers crossed for you that the BT results come back good. I have had nurses and one Dr say that they don't really rate the opk's reliability too highly.
(Sorry Teire, I'm not suggesting that they don't work either) - I bet Mon can't come around soon enough for you
Oh saffy, so sorry darling. Big hugs to you, hope you are ok??
Cancelled cycles are so dissapointing. i hope it still turns out alright??
Hope you feel better soon.
Oh no Saffy .. I'm really sorry to hear that you may have missed your 'O' date :(.
'ing that your BT brings some surprise good news and you can continue on with your FET. I don't blame you for being totally devastated... what a horrible situation to be in. I can only imagine how hard it would be to have a cycle cancelled on you when you have geared yourself up for it - it's not fair .
Just had a call from clinic Re: BT this morning and estrogen moved only slightly to 224 so another BT booked in for Saturday morning....
I have a long cycle (31 days) so I guess all is on track as I am only day 12 today and pre DS used to ovulate around day 21/22.
PS: Still thinking of you Saffy and I hope you are feeling a little better
Saff ~ (((GBH))), very disappointed for you :comfort: May not be much of a help but if it were me -I'd go have a night out drinking drown my sorrows and try to look forward to the next month - keep busy with friends. You'd want to be at your prime when you do have it so perhaps ather than doing it now and hoping for the best you would in fact be best to wait for next month. Can you start OPKs earlier next time? xx
Tei ~ I think if you start doing OPKs early enough and then do everyday you should be able to see the test line getting darker and darker and when it is the same colour as the control that is the most fertile. But even after the line lightens again I think you can still be fertile but just not as much. Hope that makes sense. I'm now getting the cheaper Lullay conception ones online as you get a whole heap for cheap, then you can do it each day. Dont worry my DH used to be like that but now I think he is just that little bit more committed because we have been wanting this for so long now and being male factor I think he feels like its his fault. Accupuncture can tingle when they 1st go in but I think once you relax you dont even realise they are there. All the best for Monday, FX'd!
Melissa ~ thanks for the info on the Colorado protocol. I think my tests came back clear but I may ask my FS about that next time because my embies dont seem to want to stick either. Hope that you doing the colorado protocol is the ticket for you hun!
Coral ~ thanks hun. Exciting your well on the way through your IVF cycle though, :goodluck::crossfingers:
Hi all :pink-babydust::stickyvibesboy:
thank you so much girls you are the greatest. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you girls to sook to.
Well, my cycle is officially over, I knew before they rang as I had checked my results on the computer at work, so was prepared.
The only saving grace is that we dtd the night I may have o'd so I guess theres a slight chance still but not holding out too much hope.
I feel a bit better but struggled at work yesterday and cried last night when I got home, DH is away too which doesn't help.
Good luck everyone with your cycles, I will be checking for your bfps in a couple of weeks!!
Saffy, that just sucks :(
I am really sorry....
Take care xxx
