Not too sure whats happening with me. AF was due yesterday going by my EPU being Thursday 2 weeks ago. Is that right? My nurse seems to think so. I had day 2 transfer on the Saturday morning. Still no AF in sight, however have had symptoms and my sister says she felt the same with each of her pg. For those of you who have got their BFP's did you get AF symptoms but it just didn't arrive? And for those who got their BFN's did AF show up after BT naturally? And how long after? I am pretty confused by it all and a little bit hopeful since AF is not here. I have my BT tomorrow and she said it could still be negative and if AF doesn't show up by Monday to have another BT. I am still debating whether to POAS this afternoon or enjoy the bliss of being PUPO for one more day.
How is the TWW treating you Mia? It definately feels like forever doesn't it?
Sorry myturn thats its just not happening for you. I definately can relate to your body just not behaving itself and doing your head in.
Mia - It looks I will be joining the 2ww as of Tuesday
Hi everyone else!
My nurse just rang to say that 5 of the eggs had fertilised so fingers crossed they carry along well until Tuesday! I start my Clexane injections tonight...not really looking forward to those, as I have heard they can be a little painful
Vic - what a horrid day. Can't help AT ALL with the AF query. On the other issue, I vote for POAS this arvo. If it is BFP then you can go smiling to your blood test tomorrow. If BFN you will still have a crap weekend but you won't spend all day tomorrow on edge waiting for the result....you can just tuck up and be sad...... Will be stalking K
PlanetSasha - Congrats, how wonderful they fertilised so well. See you in the 2ww next week.
Vic, I have a good feeling for you sweetie!! If I were you I would POAS, but then I hate waiting for the phone call!! To answer your question, I usually get AF a couple of days after BT.
Congrats Sasha on good fert rates!!
Hi to everyone else
AFM - still no AF *sigh* I am beginning to think the spotting a week ago may have been ovulation
Vic, best of luck with the BT tomorrow! I felt like AF was coming from about 12 days after EPU until well after I got my BFP 18 days after EPU. FX for you!
planetsasha - great haul & fert. rate! fingers crossed you end up with a nice little blast to transfer (and some spares too of course!). i am on clexane too and have trouble injecting in to the stomach. i discovered a new spot that worked well for me last night - my love handles (or chunks as i call them)! i checked with my FS first and she said i could try anywhere with fat, and theres definately a bit of squishy stuff there...! goodluck and i hope it doesnt sting to much for you.
vic - i always get my af before BT, but i guess it depends when your clinic do the BT? my previous clinic used to do it 16 days past epu, and given that my LP is about 13 days, means i always got it before BT. this even happens when im on progesterone, not sure why bc prog. is supposed to hold af off until you stop taking it. i quizzed my FS about this and apparently it doesnt necessarily hold off af for everyone.
the first bfp i got, i was certain af was on her way & got all my normal symptoms - i even had a cry and a glass of wine. have you caved and done a test?!
mia - ive heard that progesterone can soften your body up a bit, so might be making it easier for your body to 'go' every day now?!
n2l - hope you're af sorts itself out soon, will you be starting a stim cycle when it decides to come?
afm - 1 of my 2 lazy blasts picked up a bit and has been frozen at day 6. so all in all, im fairly relieved with the result of risking 3 embies to grow a blast.
hi to everyone else. hope you have a great weekend.
planetsasha - must have posted around same time. try the love handles, 45 degree angle, slight dart-like jab to puncture skin & inject at medium pace. i rub area before injecting too, to try and numb/desensitise the area. i have tried to do them slowly - just hurts more! i have tried icing first, ended up with massive bruise, took weeks to go away. i am on 40mg dose and last night was the first night i managed to get the whole thing in. goodluck.
After having my ET (ICSI cycle) cancelled in Jan because of OHSS and then a cycle off, it's almost time for me to get back on the IVF band wagoon.
I've been quietly stalking you all and have been so happy to read that so many people have got their BFP. Here's hoping we can all folow them soon.
So at the moment I'm just waiting for AF to arrive. Should be Monday, I think although I have felt like I have had symptoms the last few days. Maybe she will arrive sooner? Anyways, I'm doing a FET this time round. To be honest I still don't much about what this will involve. But I'm really excited to get going on this.
The last month doing nothing has been really hard, particularly as I found out even more close friends are expecting. After 2 years of TTC it still doesn't get any easier.
Sorry for the long winded update. Good luck to all in the TWW at the moment. Vic and everyone else I'm crossing everything that you get your BFP.
Ive been having blood tests every 2 days just waiting to ovulate so we can stick one of our little blobs in. Another BT tomorrow as I'm still at baseline (or was yesterday) haven't seen anything on the ovulation kits - but will check tonight - did notice the cervical mucus is starting to get a bit more EW - I never feel like I get much - in fact last stim cycle was the first time I found EWCM - it was kinda cool then... But now we are back to my usual body which doesn't seem to behave....
I feel like SH is starting too get more on board with things re: exercise and weight - so hopefully this will help. But for now - my guess is Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday for FET - we will see
It is always so late in my cycle - I worry that my body doesn't register it and that's why it doesn't work - hopefully it will happen soon anyway.
Sounds like you are getting close to FET which is absolutely fantastic. Fingers crossed this one sticks and you have a baby in your arms at Christmas time.
I hope you don't mind, but I was wondering if you could tell me about the FET process. I'm still very much in the dark about what to expect. At what day of your cycle did you have to start have BT's and / US? Have you had to take any other medications or do anything else?
I have rang the nurses a few times to ask these sort of questions but they just keeping saying to wait until AF arrives and then they can speak to my FS and let me know what will be happening. I also received two lots of paperwork for the cycle which confuses me greatly and two scripts - but for different kinds and amounts of progesterone.
I think I am getting myself all worked up over nothing. First step, wait for AF. But any info or advice re your experiences would help so so much.
Hi Everyone. Sorry I have been MIA. My computer has been playing games with me and the box that you reply in would not come up.
Unfortunately its a BFN
We had the BT done yesterday and were pretty shattered. We are ok now (its not like we have not had that phone call before) and are going to jump straight into another FET with hope of growing out our day 2's, just need to ring the clinic tomorrow. I dont know what will be different this time and can only hope that getting to day 5 could improve our odds. We have never had the opportunity to grow them out and think if they dont develop, then egg quality could be the issue as they cant find other reason.
Once AF arrived I did nothing! Yep! Nothing (except arrange payment!) until day 12 when I was scanned to check things out. I don't have any scripts at all. They gave me ovulation kits at my next visit two days later - although not much was happening still! They also did a blood test at that point. Then I just had to do the ovulation kits every day. Went back two days later - still nothing! Another blood test two days after that - all the while still doing ovulation kits (which are way better than the ones you buy at the chemist!!) so that brings me to now!! Back again to the nurse tomorrow to see what my body is doing then!! Apparently no meds at all this time round - even no crinone. Yay! Hopefully
my body likes it better and the little blob sticks!!!
And another big hug for Vic - so sorry sweet pea!! xxx
