And Amy - so sorry that things arent looking good for ET. I was devasted when mine was cancelled this week for siilar symptoms as you. I hope you wont be in the same boat as me but if you are then all I can say is that I'm so very sorry.
Hi girls, have just spoken to the nurse my embryo transfer is tomorrow at 9.30am. They said if my vomiting continues or I can't get any fluids down then I need to go to my local emergency room and have an IV drip put in they also asked if I want to just have the pre med tablet tomorrow or if I want a general anesthetic and be knocked out all together. I said I would wait and see what the doctor recommends tomorrow. Last time my egg transfer was extremely painful but if I have the general then DH can't be in there when I have it done
Fingers crossed I start to feel a bit better. I was meant to be working at the travel expo tomorrow, just spoke to my 2 bosses and they were fabulous and told me not to worry and to focus on the more important thing. Also just found out that one of the girls I work with commited suicide last night
Amy do glad you can go ahead with transfer tomorrow but it sounds like a really hard decision to make, hope you feel well enough to be able to be awake and it doesn't hurt to much.
Glad your bosses were so good but am so sorry to hear about the other sad news :-(

Amy, GL tomorrow hunni. I'll tell you a quick story...when I did my FET in 2009, I was sooooooo anxious about it, having lost my first pg 12 months before, that I actually had my very first anxiety attack and I honestly thought I was dying. Very high BP, cold sweats, dizzy spells you name it, I almost passed out at work. Just the thought of possibly going through another loss made me feel ill, but I knew I had to risk it (my loss was actually non IVF related, but the fear just never left). I called the nurse and told her what happened (this was a Thursday and my transfer was booked in for Saturday morning) and she said, oh yes, you're having an anxiety attack, pretty normal blah blah blah. Anyway, I went in on the Saturday morning and even though I felt like sh**, the FET worked So even though you're not feeling 100%, your body CAN DO IT!! Will be thinking of you and crossing everything too
Vic, I am so sorry your FS is such a tosser!!!! Where are you hun? I have a fantastic FS here in Melbourne (I went with Monash IVF) and he never ever made me feel old (I'm 41, almost 42, started seeing him as a FS in 2007). He's one of those people that makes you feel anything is possible! The only thing he did say to me this time around, was that he can guarantee he'll get me the eggs, but he can't guarantee the quality now. I really appreciated his honesty.

Yeah I just hope my boss understands someone else will have to go in my place, I feel sick just thinking about having to tell her cause I had a few days off sick with last months ivf and I am scared she will get over it :-(
Oooh, I missed your post Mia! Thanks hunni I had 1 x day 2, 4 cell embie but back in. I really didn't expect it to take, as my previous two embies were day 5 and day 6.

I hope you don't mind me joining in, I have been reading your posts for awhile & I just wanted to say congrats to Miss B! I was so glad to see you got your BFPI kept checking the thread all afternoon with my fingers crossed for you! It gives me some positive thoughts as I head into my first cycle of IVF.
I am new to this forum thing so I hope you will bear with me. A quick version of my story is DH & I have been trying to conceive for around 6 years, after having a dermoid cyst removed March 2011, FS had DH have a SA this showed abnormalities we had tried severals months on Clomid & now starting our first cycle of IVF, I start on Synarel on Monday
To everyone else I want to wish you all the best in where you are at the moment, I am sure I will get my head around where everyone is at soon, I'm not sure I will even post this right yet

planetsasha - welcome - first post = A O K!! I didn't get that much of a reaction to syneral - just keep a bottle or water or cordial on hand, the taste seems to suddenly come about 5 minutes after you've sprayed. It can feel like a bit of a wait when you are doing your cycle this way, but we all get there in the end. Good luck!!!
big for kerbear.... so sorry sweetheat - one foot in front of the other.... and just keep going... FX your boss is lovely about it.... just remember you are entitled to take sick days and if you don't want to you don't have to tell them WHY at all! It's none of their business really (and sometime bosses can be a bit nosey!!!)

Thanks for your well wishes my turn, I managed to get a glass of water and a cup of grapes down. Just had a shower and now I'm laying on the lounge again. I have to be there at 9.30 for a 10am transfer so we'll only be 10 mins apart spoke to the embryologist this afternoon who said that all 3 embies are still at the 2 cell stage she said they won't freeze them if they are less than 5 cell so I've got everything crossed.
I feel really bad as well, in the throws of vommiting DH was holding my hair back and I told him that I was never putting my body through this again. We have male factor infertility so I think it really hurt him seeing me go through this
