Thanks nothing2lose for posting that ~ I hope to be PG before then too but I guess it makes me a bit happier at the moment knowing that if 2011 isnt my year then 2012 probably in the scheme of things isnt too far off and I could have much greater chance then. All the best with your antagonist cycle, :crossfingers: for you. FYI - I have been on 125iu of Puregon, then increased from there up to 250iu, 300iu respectively and next time they want to boost it up to 450 as I am obviously a poorer responder. Ive had on Ave. about 8 or 9 eggs collected apart from my antag cycle last time with 15 collected but only I think 7 fertilised properly.

Kass ~ thanks hun, he is extremely lucky. If the other 17 cattle came out of the truck I wouldnt have a DH. Im happy to have him home! All the best with your cycles - sucks you can't put 2 back.

Thanks Teirae ~ you are right - thats how I get through waiting so long between cycles, just concentrate on the great things I have now and stay healthy etc. It will do my body good as well. Hope your appointment comes around quick!

Oneday ~ I can't believe she mentioned that in the waiting room - that's not right. Wishing you every success though no matter how many you have put back. :pray:

Hey hey ladies. So much for deciding to rejoin this thread - had great intentions of posting during the week but have had crazy jetlag which made for a VERY long week at work. But I will be a better poster in future :)

Loops - your poor DH, wow sounds like he was incredibly lucky. Hoping he has a speedy recovery. He isn't the sort of guy that is gonna try and do stuff before he is properly healed is he? V interesting about Embryogen - hopefully by 2012, none of us will need it but awesome to know that its on its way

LMM - good luck for your appointment tomorrow - hope you get some good suggestions about where to go next

Oneday - that sucks about your nurse calling you out in front of a whole waiting room - can't tell me that there were no rooms she could've "discussed" it with you. And when it comes down to it, if your FS is happy to transfer 2 embies, he/she is the expert, not the nurse so what's her problem? At our clinic, regardless of age, once a couple has had two failed cycles (I'm guessing full stim), two embies can be put back.

Just a quick question for you girls who have used Lucrin in the past. In NZ we use the equivalent, Buserilin and I'm just wondering how long it takes for down reg once Lucrin/Buserilin has started. Last cycle, I was on it for three weeks before my blood test (which did seem ages to me). We thought that we were booked in for EPU the first week in Feb yet I am only meant to be starting Buserilin on Tuesday. Does two/three weeks of jabbing for down reg/stim seem long enough? I am just impatient. My clinic doesn't start back up again from Christmas until tomorrow and I will find all of this out then but I want to know NOW!!! I am one of these people that like knowing exactly what is going to happen and when but we get told only what we need to know at the time which frustrates me. I need to be more patient!

Melissa good luck with your cycle. With my long down reg cycles i was on lucrin for a week then started puregon and did both for another 2 weeks before egg pick up so i was on injections for 22 days before EPU. I hopew this helps xx

Loops im sorry about your DH it just isnt fair lately, when we thought we would finally have a good year after our rough one last year my DH hurt his reconditioned knee wake boarding on new years weekend! so great start to the year he is having an MRI scan on it on thursday, we are just praying its nothing bad.

Hi Melissa - hope this one goes well for you! I haven't used lucrin, but synarel does the same thing (I think), I was on it alone for 8 or 9 days, then 7 days of puregon as well for each of mine. The pattern was basically synarel from day 21 then puregon from day 2, with bt on day 8, so in total just over 2 weeks. 3 weeks seems like a long time, but I guess if your cycle is longer then it drags out a bit.

How did your appt go lmm?

I just got a phone call from the fertility clinic.. they had a cancellation, for tomorrow so asked us if we wanted it! unfortuantly we cant cause its not enough notice for DHs work and they are already a man down...and i am interstate (although could go back early). its a bit of a pity.... its a pain cause the fc is in a different city to where we live, so we would have to take a whole day off etc...

ahh well, i would have been super excited if it was on tomorrow but im alright with waitin til the 10th like originally planned.

Thanks for all your thoughts and wishes regarding DH - he is home and on the mend now for 2-3 months! No Melissa if I have anything to do with it he wont be over doing it LOL.

Hi to Oneday, Loops and all else I have missed! hope your week is going well so far. Loops, just saw you have posted... hope AF shows up soon for you.

AFM... appointment was good I suppose, though fairly uneventful. DP's results are even better than last time... he has three times as many swimmers as is considered 'normal' and they are swimming a little better than before. He only has 9% good morphology, so that is a little low, but in all other areas fine. FS gave me a script for Ovidrel seeing as Pregnyl is in worldwide shortage now.
She has no issue with my cycle to O being three weeks now... as long as I am ovulating and my LP is lengthened by the HCG shot she is happy.
She has said to get a hysterosalpingogram to check tubes next month after AF (if I don't get UTD this month). And she has given me all the paperwork on IVF to start reading... though I think trying IUI first might be a good idea? What's your opinion on this? She has said that if I decided to do IUI just to let her know... so she is not really being very directive.

FX I won't need to go down that path... apparently having tubes flushed can increase chances anyway.

Oneday/Kass - thanks for your input on jabbing! I rang my clinic yesterday and they were still on hol until today so I had to be patient until today. I dunno, this cycles seems really strange. For one thing, rather than starting buserilin on day 21, I am starting today which is day 32 so not sure whats up with that. Two weeks of that then Puregon starts with EPU scheduled for the week of Feb 14. Happy Valentines Day to us!!!! I am a bit miffed that we've been pushed back until then as we originally rebooked into the first possible slot (which is Feb 1st) of 2011 way back when we had to cancel in July. However, nothing I can do about it. Right now, I am in this lovely little calm zen-like state and am wanting to stay that way as long as I possibly can :)

Teirae - ohhh bummer about not being able to take the cancellation slot. Whereabouts are you at in your journey? I may have to read back over the last few weeks or so to catch up on people

JBM - I hear you on the waiting. Even though I don't think our break has been anywhere near as long as yours (about six months I think), while the break from the stress is lovely, it just feels like such wasted time. Are you hoping to get another round of ivf in soon?

Loops - glad to hear that you will be forcing your DH to take it easy. Dunno what it is about guys in general when they always try and rush back into things then wonder why they feel like crap/in agony afterward.

Me - had a lovely day off work today just pottering, doing me-things. It was great! We have our first jab of the cycle tonight - bring it on! Just wondering, what does everyone feel about exercise during a cycle? Just read so many mixed things about it and really don't know whether to carry on as I am or just ease right off.

I got my Synarel in the mail today so I can start sniffing tomorrow and finish the BCP on Sunday. It looks like I will start the injs on the 29th of Jan. I'm really happy to be starting again. Good luck where ever you are in your cycles. Lets hope we get some BFP's to start off 2011.

AFM i had my first Orgalutran injection today, very much the same as ovidrel they are both a bit harder to administer then the puregon or gonal-f dont you think? I have a BT on thursday and then will be booked in for ultrasound which she said will most likely be on monday but both other STIMs i have been called to come in for one the next day because my levels are always so high due to lots of follicles growing so we will see.

:) be nice to have someone else in the 2WW with me :)

Hi Melissa - it's weird how good it can feel to start jabbing isn't it? Just the fact that things are moving along :) I think exercise is a good thing as long as you're not overdoing it. Maybe have a day off on your transfer day :)

lmm - hope you don't get to ivf stage - I've also heard that clearing the tubes can help
