Mindhugs - family can be so frustrating! Even if they don't know about the IVF they should still be able to accept that a birthday party in Bali may be too expensive for you!

Saraz - we've told as few people as possible. We ended up telling M/FIL and B/SIL about 6 months in after I got a bit too upset when SIL announced she was pg. None of my family know. Like you I don't want to be constantly updating people. I also don't want sympathy or unhelpful advice!

trueblue ouch to the calf bitting you, I have been tearing up at the oddest things.

trubabe we have frenchie and I know those pants wont stop a male who wants to get to a female who is on heat. How cute to have puppies though. Its hard having a sick parent at a time like this. Well no time is great. My mum is quite sick to (heart) and need to see a cardiologist on Friday.

saraz wow you had your transfer mine is tomorrow. How cool you got to see before the transfer, I hope I get to see mine. i've told a couple of people but not sure what to do after the tww. When I had C I didnt share the news to after 12 weeks.

mindhugs GBH's to you. I really hope the little embie has stuck. Not everyone has the money to go to bali, they should be a bit more supportive.

I have my transfer tomorrow at 1120. Not sure how many have made it to day 5 will find out tomorrow.

Has anyone else felt real crampy the day before a transfer, it started this afternoon and hasnt really passed.

I haven't been around much lately - have been trying to pretend this all isn't happening I guess.

Mindhugs - good luck - when's your BT? No symptoms doesn't mean no baby - there have been so many people in the tww thread who've had none and gotten their bfp's.

Saraz - I only told my parents at first (with DS), then my bro and SIL found out, but they were cool with it. This time around is taking a lot longer and DH seems to be talking about it with a lot more people. I don't mention it to anyone because of how emotional it is - I like to pretend that all is fine, but I guess that him talking about it helps to normalise it - if that makes any sense?? What I have also found this time is that it makes pregnant people feel a bit awkward. F**k 'em though I say - if the worst I make them feel is a little bit awkward it's nothing compared to the utter jealousy I feel. Oooh, I'm sounding a bit bitter, sorry

Hi to everyone else - I'm so behind on where everyone is up to

gday ladies just a quick one as I am getting ready toi head to sale for a U/S nurse called yesterday with my bt results and she said that my level;s are sounding fantastic and she wans me to have the scan today instead of friday but Ihave been havin some pains like I did last time when I had a cyst I told her about it and she said we'll know today if there is one so fx'd I am hoping not the feelings keep comoing and going she said it could be just pains from being on alot stronger dose of puregon... so fingers crossed and hi ho hi ho of to sale I go... eeeep if it's a cyst we are canning this round were not going to push to make it work and we'll go see FS and maybe have to go straight IVF will let you all know jhow I go

Kaybee vent away. When I had my acupunture yesterday the lady told me she was pregnant, I had already work that out a couple of weeks ago. I think there was a bit of a pause before I said congratulations. Took a few mins for the rational side to kick in. I am surrounded by pregnant woment at work and I went to a lunch last week for someone who was retiring. One of the prego women said dont you want any more kids. I got a little grumpy but just said I am working on it. Then the women sitting next to her went on and on about women in their late 30's and 40s having kids and leaving it too late. I just said not everyone is blessed to have a rose color life like you and be a grandmother in their 40's. Bit *****y but I was over being diplimatic by then

Kaybee so sorry that you are still in limbo when will you be able to move forward? I cant imagine how you must be feeling at the moment if you need to vent then vent away we are here for you

Saraz its your choice who you tell. It doesn't really matter you will get questions either way. I've told my immediate family cause I thought it would make things easier. MY SIL (brothers wife is fab) doesn't ask much but is very supportive mum just waits till I tell her things and is probably the one who deals with all my frustations. The inlaws drove me crazy at the start so in the end I told them I wasn't going to talk about it cause it cuases me more stress and I couldn't afford to be stressed so they now only talk to DH about it and it suits me fine.

Mindhugs hope your still traveling ok and that the little one has snuggled in nice and tight. Don't worry about no symptoms heaps of ladies feel normal and still get a BFP bet your one of them.

AFM well not really excited at the moment getting close to O'ting but DH had a CT scan yesterday cause he's not feeling well so I don't wont to cuase any possible damage to him till we have the all clear that he is ok so I might miss me window. I hope he's ok he has a twin brother who had a few blood clots a few years ago and was not in a good way and was lucky to catch them early on.

AFM - I triggered last night ready for EPU Thursday morning. Feeling a bit crampy this morning. The FS said he was really pleased with my BT results. It seems that my body is rallying for me. I personally think it is because I am demanding my body do as it is told and I won't be denied. lol Yes I am a control freak. I tell my DS often I am god and my word is law. Doesn't seem to cut it so much now he has his license. But at least it means I have a driver for tomorrows collection. He hates it when I cal him James. lol

no cyst no cyst no cyst wooihoo been dancing round since I left the hospital woohoo it's just the follicles the biggest was 14mm on the right side again and my lining is 8.4mm woohoo thanks everyone so now just gotta wait for the nurse to call with bt results and say when to do the trigger injection...
This is shaping up to be a great cycle... have been pumping the fibre, protein and powerade lol....

had my transfer, only two made it to day 5 so we transfered both. The doctor said one was fantastic great size and cells and the other was not so great and smaller. So I am calling them DeVito and Schwarzenegger's (Twins). I got to see them on the screen before they put them in, that made me cry. Going to have a nap now

Things all seem to be going so well in here at the moment.

Trishy - all the best for the TWW - when is your bt? Hope danny and arnold are making themselves at home in there. I love your response to your know-it-all colleague. I haven't snapped at anyone yet, but am getting sick of laughing and trying to sound carefree when people ask when I will be UTD.

Trueblue - what a relief, I can understand your excitement. Look like this will be your month! FX

Wanta - sounds like everything's doing the right thing over in your corner too. Hope tomorrow's epu goes smoothly - have you got anything nice planned for afterwards?

Terry - so sorry to hear that DH isn't 100%. I guess his twin's situation could have given them a bit of a heads-up so they will have a good chance of finding anything early enough to catch.

As for my 'living in limbo' state - my hcg is still rising but have to wait for a scan next wednesday to confirm there's no heartbeat (there's a tiny 3% of a baby in there apparently). So, have to continue with pessaries and pills and pg symptoms, knowing that it won't result it anything.

terry - my dh is unwell too and this has affected a lot of months - I know how frustrating it is to 'waste' another month... right now they are investigating DH for a new bunch of rare diseases. It's tough on blokes, I know DH can't shake the irrational feeling he should be always strong healthy and virile or he's somehow not manly! (And hates the ban on BDing in the 2ww as he lacks the chance to shine! heh). Really hope it's resolved soon.

AFM - longest 2 days of my life and I have to wait another 12 days!?!?!?

well the nurse called insemination is on sat!!!!!!!!!! She said the u/s went fantastic and didn't want to push me out till monday for sale because the other follies may develop and we;'d have to cancel so were off to clayton on friday night again hello novotel hotel again lol.... I had to refrain from squeeling in the nurses ear in excitement so last puregon tonight she's calling tommorrow with bt results and what time to do trigger so now it's all happening so quick and dh got mystar connected for me today just in time for my time off...
Trishy fx'd chcik see you in the tww thread sooner than I thought lol hope the deveto-negger twins are snuggling in lol that would have been very emotional seeing them when they showed me dh's swimmers I looked stupidly at what looked like bottled water lol....

Im fairly new in this part of the forums and just wanted to say hello :hello:

DH and I had our appointment with the FS today and we are all set to start ICSI on 29th July :hooray:
Im so excited/scared at the same time!!! DH needs to have his sperm aspirated and they will do my eggs on the same day (probably around 14th August). We have our appointment on 27th July to get all our drugs, DH flies back to work on 29th July, so im on my own.

How did you you feel about injecting yourself and how did the drugs make you feel in the first cycle???

Kaybee I can understand that limbo state, when I had my ectopic removed I had to have blood to make sure the levels dropped and they remained around for a while. Hope you can make some progress soon

Saraz I am hearing you about longest wait of your life, I have only made it one day and feel like I am wishing my life away. Didnt think of the middle names so funny.

amy jellybean I friend of mine who had done ivf before told me a jabs a jab. I was freaking about the real injections. I had used Gonal F before so wasnt worried about them and she is right, a jabs a jab. Just keep focus on the END GOAL, you will surprise yourself.

I suppose I should check out the 2ww but feel at home here.

Hi ladies,

I guess I'm coming back into this thread. I had my 7 wk u/s on Tuesday and FS said the baby was too small and heartbeat too weak. I guess part of me wants to believe that it will all be ok, and the baby will grow over the next week, but as with Kaybee, it is only a small chance. So, I have to go in next week for another u/s to see whether the heart has stopped. If so, my hormones will start to drop and I will m/c. It's really difficult at the moment as I know it is still alive - but for how much longer. I have done nothing but cry the last few days, but I think I'm starting to try and look forward to the future and hopefully, third time lucky... Then I have this HUGE guilt about already thinking about the next attempt.

Sorry, no perssies today. But will catch up on where everyone is at really soon.

awww mum2 be: don't give up hope yet hope all goes well and all your worries will all be for nothing
AFM: Tonight at 11pm is tgrigger injection and then saturday morning at 11am is insemination so i guess as of 11am sat i will be in the tww
