Got 10 follies ready to go, but one is a bit small so prob too immature but they will collect it anyways. Bit nervous about the procedure now, hope recovery goes smoothly for us :crossfingers:

First jab last night not sure who was more nervous me or my beautiful DH who is on jab duty!!
Wow I can't believe it! the EPU is over for me and they collected 17 eggs!!! I was scheduled for 10.30 am and a couple of emergencies came up and I ended up going in at 1 pm... I was getting more and more nervous... All's well now and I'm feeling pretty good! The nurses were surprised at the quick recovery and I was egg:)static that I could go home at 4.45... Only slight uncomfortable feeling in belly when walk and some spotting, but other than that I'm fine!
Fingers crossed this will be the way with you on Monday - Ree Ree and Mrs Mac.
Well done to Joeve's hubby for stabbing and good luck with your cycle!!
Also been recommended once again to drink 3 litres a day and extra protein and like someone was saying before it's idd to do with hyper stimulation...

ReeRee good luck for Monday I hope we both have a smooth EPU.
Joeve those jabs will be over before you know it. I am completely amazed how quick the last 2 weeks have gone.

AFM BT and US today. Lining only 5.5 and ovulation still looks to be quite a few days off. They are considering cancelling my FET cycle. Im a bit emotional about it all. Please god no. Back for another BT tues and praying for better news. :(
Jane - hugs for you and fingers crossed the lining will grow steadily and they don't have to cancel the FET. keep us posted...

Maybe it will pick up Jane! My ultrasound barely showed anything on Thursday. I'm at cd19 right now - I've ovulated at day 20 so far and it's really annoying to I so late - but it's always come around eventually... FX it does for you too.
So... Afm... Doing seratec ovulation kits at the moment. Although they fever seem very reliable - so I worry about them a bit. Anyway maybe BT tomorrow if it shows something or I'm not sure. But if not back to Jo for USin Tuesday. It's all just waiting and I'm starting to feel over it again.
Guess its not supposed to be easy but really it's so annoying.
Congrats me4ever on the EPU! Fantastic that it went so well and hope you are not too sore and recovering well.

Jane, I really hope things progress for you. I know that fear of cancelling is horrible, I had the same this month, but I think it ain't over til it's over.
Myturn, hang in there- It's tough and I am so over this whole thing too. But remember it's an endurance sport!! Good luck!
AFM- well officially 1/2 way through my 2WW and am pretty sure I didn;t ovulate, but still also convinced it has worked... it HAS to doesn;t it?? I'm so confused and in a turmoil of emotions. Can;t focus on anything but this, which is bad I know. I am scared about how I will cope if it's a BFN. Anyway, thansk for listening to my rambles! and good luck to everyone!

AFM, just got home from Egg Collection. Feeling pretty good right now, no discomfort as yet. Was feeling a bit nauseous but some lunch seems to have done the trick. I was only expecting a max of 10 eggs to be collected if all went really well, but the FS surprised me saying they got 13!! So i am SUPER stoked with that, a lovely surprise!
So now we wait for tomorrow's phone call to see how the ICSI fertilization bit has gone :goodluck:

Thanks Lyra and ReeRee for the congrats on my epu result... Another day before we'll hear how the fertilised eggs are doing... Yesterday we got good news that there were 12 fertilised plus a possible 2 more. I'm not sure what happens on average if some will drop out or that they will all go through to the next stage...
I'm still recovering from the epu, it goes with ups and downs, can feel good one moment, then have cramps the next. Don't know if it could also be the crinone I have to have now twice a day?!
Hi ladies well just a quick update for me as I am feeling pretty tender at the moment. EPU went well, they collected 27 eggs but I am sure most of these will not be mature as they original only thought I had 6. After the surgery I though the nurse had told me 7 egg and was really happy then I looked at my had and seen the 27, LOL. Other than the pain I am doing really well, not feeling sick or anything so FX I will be up an about tomorrow and hopefully get some good news from the embryologist.
Glad to hear all went well for you too today ReeRee, are they expecting to do a 3 or 5 day transfer for you?

Whoa MrsMac! 27!! Go you good thing! Hope the pain eases up on you soon. The embryologist will decide whether to do a day 3 or 5 transfer for me, depending if there is an obvious 'best' emby by day 3. If no clear front-runner, we will wait til day 5 to grade the blasties and transfer.
Do you know what you will be doing?
Anyone have an opinion on whether a day 3 or 5 embryo is best?
ReeRee the plan at the moment will be a day 5 transfer but that also depends on how things progress. I don't really have a preference as such, I would rather they just pick the best little embryo for me and FX it sticks.
Thanks ladies for all your support over the past couple of weeks, you have all been so wonderful and I am glad I had you all to get me through the the hardest parts. Now it's FX that we can have a good run of BFPs.

My FS believes in day 5 ones so I'm going to be booked in on Thursday if all goes well... I suppose depending on the outcome of what they all look like tomorrow... FX for all of us!
Am so happy that we all have had the epu with such a good result, now FX for the next stage!
Awesome egg hauls girls. Hoping you all have speedy recoveries and that you are ready to go with a transfer soon. It's nice that some of us should be moving on to TWW soon. Fingers crossed for BFPs all round.

Your doing a natural cycle for memory??? Sorry, so many of us in here. If nothing is happening and your still baseline can you start taking progynova. I did that for my first FET. Nothing was happening so I took the tablets and 18 days later did a transfer. With PCOS its hard to know when you will ovulate. Just a thought.

AFM - Day 4 of jabbing and we have an FS appointment tomoorow to see how we are travelling. I feel AF'y so the stabbing seems to be doing some thing lol.

Got the phone call late this morning re: fertilisation - 10 of the 13 eggs collected were mature enough to be fertilised, and all 10 have made it through Day 1 so far! :hooray: One step at a time, I am very excited with how things have progressed :) So now I wait until Thursday morning to find out if we are transferring a Day 3 embryo or a Day 5 blastie
Thats really great news Ree*Ree. Well done. Its great to have good numbers and you feel like they are all passing tests daily and you become proud of your embies. Its like your already in love with them and want them all to survive :)
AFM - rang the clinic and spoke to the head embryologist at the lab and he thinks the plan to go for day 5 blasties has a better chance of day 3 assisted hatching. He said next time if none survive my thaw then I would be a suitable canditate to look into assisted hatching as I have had three failed attempts. He said looking at my stats my egg quality may not be the problem. WTF is it then??? We just have to wait to see if any thaw and grow onto blasties. He said he would check how they go and how thick the shell was while they are growing from day 2's to day 5's. If the shell is too thick then assisted hatching could be the go to try next time. He said being over 38 and people with PCOS can have a thicker shell. I felt a lot better after talking with him and still dont feel out of the race yet.
Ree Ree - That's fantastix news. FX they keep grwoing. Grow embies grow!
Vic - If you have a thick shell then can't he do the assisted hatching this cycle? If that is the problem why wait? FX your embies grow grow grow.

I've never had to do a medicated FET - last month was the first and it worked just fine...
I think if I ever do get pregnant - it will be so hard to believe...!!!

Ree and Mrs Mac – how is the recovery going? Awesome fertilisation rate Ree Ree. Mrs Mac with such huge numbers make sure you drink lots of fluid and eat lots of protein to help with the recovery and avoid OHSS.
Vic – Assisted hatching sounds like an interesting possibility. Fingers crossed you don’t need it though and you get a nice little blastie to transfer soon.
Joeve – sounds like you have a heap of follies. Hoping that they are of good size for you.
My turn – I feel your frustration completely. I’m doing a natural cycle too and it’s so frustrating when your body seems to be working off a different plan. Here’s hoping we both get to transfer next week.

AFM – blood test showed a slight increase in my oestrogen levels which is good. So not out yet.Woo hoo! Have another BT on Thursday 12th. Hoping and praying that my hormones keep on the up and up and that my lining continues growing too. Many this rollercoaster is tough.
ReeRee - wow 10 fertilised that's really good! Good news so that must help the healing process!

Joeve - Loads of follicles for you! Have they told you to drink heaps of water and have extra protein?
AFM - The embryologist called today to say all fertilised eggs are dividing and are looking good, still 12 and possibly the 2 extra that are going a bit slower than the others... So looks like it's going to be a 5 day transfer on Thursday. will find out time tomorrow. Still had today off as had pretty bad cramping and general tenderness yesterday, am feeling a lot better now.
