Had my scan this morning. Lining is perfect and we are looking at about 13 follies at EPU. I'm increasing my jabbs to 200iu and have my last sniff on Friday. We are planning for EPU on Tuesday 17th. After al this sitting on my hands things are finally going ahead lol.
Porshe - Thats really great news. We may be in the TWW together. If all goes well, my transfer should be 21st April. As for the assisted hatching we really want to grow them out to see if they survive to day 5. He said if they do AH then it has to be one day 3. It will be good that he can check out the shell as they progress. He said that they have more success with day 5's than day 3's AH. So we are literally putting all out eggs in one basket lol.
Amy - Yay for AF :)
me4ever - Thats really great that your embies are doing well. I am always comforted when I hear mine are progressing well.
Jane - So very, very happy to hear that your starting to progress. You must be so relieved. Stoopid bodies, making us stress, when its the time we really do need to relax.

Girls just some advice please. I have been sick in bed for 3 days with what I thought was a bad cold. It has progressed to more flu like with aching sweating and feeling really lethargic. I am so worried about being sick during stimming would you be worried it would effect the eggs or am I being silly?

Sorry to hear that your sick Joeve :( It may be the drugs just running your imune system down a bit. I got a bad cold after transfer so didn't take anything. They say its just because we get run down. And the stress doesnt help any. I dont know whether it effect the eggs. I dont think it would. And dont worry for the all about me post, thats what we are here for :hug:
Maybe ring your clinic if it would make you feel better.

AFM Got the call from the embryologist this morning to say that 7 embryos have made it through to day 3 now. So transfer will be on Saturday sometime, will call and get my schedule tomorrow arvo. She reckons of the 7, we will have 1 best one to transfer and maybe 1 or 2 good enough to freeze. Doesn't seem like very many should be making it to day 5 which is sad, I was hoping to not have to do another egg collection... Ah well, sticking all my hopes on the Day5 blastie then!

Joeve-way to go with the 21 follicles and I hope you are feeling better soon. I really don’t think that being sick now will affect you egg quality but i’m sure the nurses can give you some advise on that. Hope the BT and Ultrasound bring you some good results.
Vic – I’m glad the embryologist gave you some positive news. I always feel more at ease and in control when I have a plan. But here hoping you don’t need to both with the assisted hatching.

AFM- Well recovery from the EPU has been epic, but Dh has been amazing looking after me. I didn’t expect to be hurting so much or for so long but as long as i get a happy ending I am up for anything. I made it back to work yesterday but was still really sore. Today I’m feeling much better, now I just feel like I have done 1000 sit ups LOL. So we originally had 27 eggs collected but as I suspected only 6 were mature eggs. We got 5 Embryos out of the 27 eggs, and the embryologist called today and said that all 5 embryos have made it to day 3, yay. So at this time I am booked for my Transfer on Saturday morning. I asked her if she was confident we would have something to transfer on day 5 and she said they will probably have 2 or 3 to choose from so things are looking good, FX ladies.
Mrs Mac - That is such terrific news! FX for TF on Saturday. Grow embies grow!
just a quick one. Am on my phone at work. Clinic just rang. Finally ovulated so transfer schedule for tuesday. Im so excited. Cant stop smiling.

AFM Thanks everyone for the well wishes with my transfer today. I'm back home now and am very surprised with how I feel! I have had two IUI's and was feeling very nauseous and just generally weak after them, but with today's transfer I'm feeling very well and am having to force myself to take it easy and sit down :) The speculum was a tad uncomfortable, the full bladder was worse, but it was so nice to see the embryo just before it was implanted :) That made me so happy. Now fingers, knees and toes crossed that it will proceed to grow and imbed! Oh yeah, my 12 initial embryo's that made it to day 3 at the moment we only got 4 blastocysts (including the one that's inside me now), the other 3 are frozen. They will keep an eye on a few others, but this might be it for this pick up. So anyhow I'm officially in the 2WW now... Can't wait to do the blood test :)

Me4ever- that great news, take it easy for the next few days and i have everything crossed for you. I hope you can save those frosties for a much later date.

Lyra Stardust - yep BT on Monday! 3 more days. I have been fighting the urge to POAS so bad!!! This afternoon I had a lil bit of crinone that was bloody. Followed by a bit more blood on the tp! I'm hoping it will stop & is not AF!
How was the retailer therapy? I hope it did the trick. I am so broke so I'm trying to stay busy but it's so hard.

ooh! Me4ever - I totally agree! It's so nice to see the little blob up on the screen and ready to go!! It's interesting to hear other people's stories, and hard to know what is the 'best' evidence based practice in regards to EPU/ET and growing the llittle blobs etc... at this stage I just rely on the Dr to make the decisions and don't ask too many questions. I don't have to have a full bladder for my ET, and I wonder why each Dr does it differently...
J.Bear - I am crossing my fingers for you so bad!!!! I can never bring myself to POAS - feels like I am just jinxing myself.... as AF has always arrived before BT anyway, it's kinda of a waste of money to POAS anyway (IMO!)
AFM..... as previously noted ;) follicle was hiding this morning, but eventually found one at 15-16mm..... and blood test confirmed ovulation is on it's way.... so hoping for a transfer time for EARLY sunday morning, as we have tickets to some kids shows for the comedy festival!! it's easier than trying to negotiate next week, but still a pain....
I am sure the universe is trying to teach me something... but I can feel myself getting my hopes up again this evening and it's scary.... I hate the feeling of disappointment that occurs when it fails.... but hey.... I'm getting ahead of myself.... lets get passed transfer first!!!

Even though I'm not posting much I am thinking of you all. I'm cd 7 today and stabbing away but so far nothing is happening. We have decided to ignore this cycle with no expectations until that first us and we know if we can go any further. If I can I will join you all once again but trying to stay as blasé as possible for now. If we do get cancelled it will be three in a row so needing to keep the defenses up. On a positive Dh has been so much more open about where he is at with all this and we are both in a good place.

AFM 1 day after transfer and I'm feeling very well... I'm so surprised! I've recovered from the epu and expected to feel tired and nauseous after the transfer, but none of this. I'm not sure if any of you combine the IVF with acupuncture, but I do visit one once a week. Yesterday she told me to use the evening of the transfer as a kind of happy evening, as you normally would have had intercourse to conceive and would have had that happy feeling naturally. She told us to watch a funny movie and have some chocolate. This was so nice. I suppose it also makes you feel positive about things.
I also got a final phone call from the embryologist and she told me that there are 7 embryo's in total that they were able to freeze! This was more than she expected yesterday!
Nope - no ultrasound :) they just put it in and squeeze the embie out then check to make sure the embie is actally out and then it's done :)

My scan wasn't very good, lots of small follies, so jabbing until next week for a Friday EPU, there is really only 3 follies that they expect to make the right size, I am sooooo depressed about how each cycle my results get worse and worse. Am panicking that I won't even get to transfer. Looks like I will have to go down the donor egg path soon as I cannot keep doing stims and being disappointed, its getting ridiculous. Stupid body, stupid old age grrrrrrr:wall:

Thanks for the well wishes Vic261, Myturn - I'm not feeling very positive atm :shakehead: I spent so much time toying with the idea of POAS then last night I had some bleeding, no cramps just a little dark blood mixed with the Crinone gel. So this morning i took a HPT & i got a BFN :cry: I feel shattered. Is it crazy that I still feel like there could be a chance for us? Will just wait & see how if it's AF or spotting, maybe take another test? Ahhhh who knows.

J.Bear- 3 days to D-day. Wow you're so much stronger than me. I'm a POAS-aholic. Even though I have pregnyl and so am getting false positives. But I still do it because if I see the lines getting stronger then it means things are looking hopeful, and if they stay the same or get fainter I get a heads up and don't bawl on the phone to the clinic on Monday. I wait til I get off the phone... Hope the blood wasn't AF. Is the crinone progesterone pessaries? If so I get horrible bleeding with those as they can irritate the cervix so maybe the blood was only that. Anyway, we're nearly there!!

AFM- not feeling too positive any more as I didn't have an implantation bleed and had a very obvious one with my son. I have my counselling tomorrow so that's good. ANOTHER friend told me she'd pregnant- an accident. I hate myself for letting it affect me - I don't want her child, I want mine, but it still had me ready to burst into tears all day. Anyway, at least I only have to wait til Monday now til I'm put out of my misery. Tomorrow morning I can POAS again to see how much pregnyl is still in my system- I know I'm insane but it helps me to be doing something. lol Ok sending lots of love and sticky baby vibes. x
Lyra- I've only had implantation bleeds with 2 natural pregnancies, I have had 3 ivf pregnancies and never had an implantation bleed, so it doesn't have to happen every time, sorry you are feeling down, it is hard to hear about other pregnancies when you are despairing in the tww x

Yep it sucks.... totally sucks.... doesn't hurt to keep your hopes up, but I know how hard it is, as soon as I see the brown crinone, I just know it's not going to work... and so far I've been right.... BUT.... I always get comments from people on here, saying "it ain't over till the BT sings".... cause some people do get a bleed and still ge a BFP.... so... who knows... anything is possible....
so cry, feel crap, do whatever you need to do to keep yourself sane - cause whatever is going to happen will happen, and if it's going to stick it will, and you will survive through another cycle, and still get out the other side intact - you can cope and you can be strong... because one day, one day it will be a BFP.... no matter how many -ve's you get... you only need to one to stick....

Thanks Saffy, that makes me feel better. I guess in my head the only frame of reference I have is that the one time I did get IB I was pregnant, and all the other times I didn;t- I wasn't. So I;ve been waiting and hoping all week for a sign that things are working.
AFM- lookinh like a probable neagtive for me too :( My POAS this morning was barely visible and definitely less strong than yesterday bu a long way, so must just be residual pregnyl. GRRR hate this. Devastated, but still have to push through til Monday. J-Bear I'm thinking of you too and praying for miracles for us.

A little bit of background on me:
Our FS encouraged us to try naturally for another 3 months, with additional supplements for my DH (sperm issues) - well it will be 3 months coming up in May.
I'm not pregnant- so we'll be jumping straight (hopefully) into an IVF/ICSI cycle.
I'm excited and nervous all the same time!
I just want to get started!

Hi Emma,
You should be able to get the relevant forms from your IVF clinic if you just ring the reception area they will point you to the correct person. There are 2 checks that need to be done. The police check and also child protection order check through the dept of human services. It's a good idea to get them organised early.
I was with MIVF and they sent the forms out in a welcome pack to me.
