ReeRee- That’s great news, looks like we will be hanging out over the next few weeks. I’m on Gonal F as well but Injections are at night (150ml), and had my first jab last night . It feels nice to be doing something again, even if it is a needle. No side effects as yet but used the Gonal F for my IUI and didn’t feel any effects from it either
Vick- That’s great news on business front and I know what you mean by the working out, I have them that go over the last 6 months but have been walking with DH every afternoon for the last 4 weeks and I am feeling better and less stressed because of it. I hope you guys are back on track soon.
Joeve- Sorry to hear about the sniffing, it sound yuck! But at the end of the day where every gets us there in the end.
Jane- It really can help to have one of your friends to talk to, I told my Best friend when we first started with AC and she has been a wonderful support for me, she sat with me the day I found out the IUI didn’t work because DH had to work and it was great to have her around when I was feeling so down. I also let my Mum, Dad and Sister know about it over the last few weeks and it feels like a weight has been lifted off me. I hope you can find it in you to let someone in as I’m sure you will feel better once it’s out there.
Bee- That is horrible news hun, I’m so sorry the loan didn’t work out. As if this entire process is not hard enough without add that stress to the mix.
N2L- I’m glad you are enjoying your new job, I wish I had a job that I really enjoyed so I could try and stay preoccupied. BTW, way to go with the weight loss, I hope this give you the edge you need to get that BFP and good luck for your next cycle hun. It would be so sad to see you have to call it quits without a happy ending.
MyTurn- I hope the Easter Bunny bring you some good luck for your ET. I know what you mean about when is enough enough, I too am nowhere near ready to give it all up yet but I often get that hopeless feeling that I will never get what I want so desperately and every time it brings me to tears until I pull myself together and put it to the back of my mind gain.
Krikkit- I really hope you are testing to early and you end up with a BFP, we all need some happy baby vibes around here.
Lyra Stardust - How exciting, I know what you mean about the roller coaster, FX the TWW goes quick for you.
AFM- First Injection was last night and one I got over the anxiousness and let DH jab me it was all over in no time. I am booked for BT on Sunday to see how things are progressing, so FX all goes well. It feels really good to be actively doing something again even if it is only a jab at the end of each day. I know I shouldn’t but I already have my hopes up at this is going to work. I’m not really sure how to not get them up anymore, I think if I didn’t stay positive I may just give up altogether so I will just have to take the good with the bad if it ends with another BFN.

Mrs Mac. - well done with your first injection. It's great that you are getting things going.
Reeree - hope your going along smoothly for your first cycle. Fingers crossed for you.
Jane - I completely get what your saying about being disconnected from friends it's really hard. Our last two cancelled cycles have coincided with two lots of friends having their babies within two days of the cancellation. If you don't want to tell friends about ivf maybe you could meet up with a friendly face from here. Amyjb and I meet for coffee every now and then and it has truly been a godsend for me. Its nice to have someone who gets what you are saying. Not sure where you are based butif we are close there is always room for more at the table .
Hi to everyone else. I want to do a long list of persies but I'm on my phon an keep losing track. As it is there are probably plenty of autocorrections to keep you all entertained.
Before I duck out though just wanted to let you all know where I'm at. We had our fs appointment yesterday and it went quite well. Fs explained to Dh that we really have exhausted our options in regards to avoiding ivf but did offer to give us a go at continuing oi and have me take metformin. So we went with this. Dh had a meltdown last night as the realization that ivf will probably be where we go and seems so terrified and that he has failed. But I think it was a good meltdown, he finally opened up to me and we have talked more about why we are going through than we ever have. He even asked to read through the iv paperwork an prices today. Big step. Anyway, we will see if my ovaries behave this cycle but tbh it seems the fs is just trying to ease dh into things and ha said don't get out hopes up. I'm nervous about the side effects of the metformin as I'm meant to be taking three tablets a day within a week but so far at just one I'm doing ok. From reading it can help lose weight, I don't really need to but a couple of kilos wont hurt
I have been taking metformin since the end of October last year. My advice is to take 500mg for a couple of weeks, then add another 500mg for a couple of weeks, then add the final 500mg. Otherwise the side effects can be horrible (like, you can't leave the house, horrible). It hasn't helped me lose weight unfortunately but I know it helps some people.
Thanks N2l. My fs was so scary when explaining the side effects and it did freak me out. I think his reasoning behind putting me on it is to calm down my erratic ovaries. I'm thinking if you can avoid the side effects weight loss would be less likely. Although that means you have done really well to lose the weight you have. I think I'll take your advice and go very slow. I was also told I can go up a dose, see if it effects me then drop back if I need to. They didn't seem to fussed if I can make it to three tablets but obviously it would be better. Sending you lots of lucky vibes for some good eggs
Keta _ I'm on metformin and I started by taking 1x 500mg tablet for 1 week. After that week I added another 500mg tablet making it 2x tablets per day. 1 in the am and 1 in the pm. After a week I added another to the mix and took it at midday. After a week of 3x tablets per day I added my final one and I now have 2 in the am and 2 in the pm. Build it up slowly so you can avoid the side effects. Good Luck.
Mrs Mac - Well done on getting your first injection done. You'll be a pro before you know it.
Vic - That sounds great about the business.
AFM CD1. Woo Hoo. I start jabbing next Wednesday so just sniffing still for now.

Vic sorry for the delayed response!! I am no expert but from what you have described it sounds as though by paying that invoice you will have hit the safety net! I would definitely send your receipt back to Medicare - and hopefully you will get something more back! I am still waiting for my FET Medicare refund so cant help in that instance. I have my fingers crossed for you - and it's great to hear things are starting to work out for you Hun. X
N2L good on you re the weight loss! I'm so proud and happy for you - that's a really huge achievement! Good for you!
Myturn I'm thinking of you and wishing you all the best of luck in the world for this cycle. You have a winning attitude going on- go for it!
Jane- Oh it's so hard to feel that loneliness. I really hope that you are feeling a bit better today. When trying for my son, 6 girls at work got pregnant and I remember how isolated it made me feel. It just seems that when you are trying everyone around you is pregnant or having babies. But I hope you know that you are not alone. Try and find someone that is NOT pregnant who you can talk to. The first time round with all this I went to a counsellor and opened my heart about my fears of never being a mother and then she told me she had 2 kids and I literally HATED her for it! Never went back. Sometimes I have to remind myself that all these super fertile people never asked for it, just like we never asked to be infertile. Sorry I went off on a tangent there... I'm not meaning to imply that you have negative feelings towards your friends, maybe it's just me that struggles with that... but I just meant to say that sometimes it's easier to talk to someone who isn't pregnant/ has kids. I'm sure your friends love you but sometimes a bit of space from people is not a bad thing. I really hope that things go well for you and you find someone who you can talk to. It's definitely therapeutic if you find the right person. I'll let you know how the counselling goes, but in all honesty, I feel better just having booked it, knowing that if this cycle doesn't work I have a professional who can help me pick up the pieces.
Keta- I'm so pleased that things are moving forward for you and you have a plan for IVF. It must be scary, but also hopeful?? When I started posting here I was so glad that you were doing the same thing as me and I feel so terrible that your cycle was cancelled and mine wasn't. It's just not fair is it. I am praying that you get your BFP from the IVF. Good luck with the metformin and I hope that all those nasty side effects don;t happen for you.
Hi to everyone else- I hope all those injections are going well .
AFM- well I have made it to trigger so am very relieved but trying not to get my hopes up too much. so CD 25 today, trigger tomorrow, then pregnyl for luteal support and then blood test 16th April.
mmm wouldn't it be nice just to have sex to get pregnant
Thanks for the support girls. Feeling much less crazy and more up beat today. Yesterday I went to the gym with one of my only friends who isn't pregnant or doesnt have kids. It was great. Just to chat about silly stuff whilst working out. We are going to do another class together tomorrow. I find that when I'm working out at the gym is one of the only time my brain seems to switch off and stop thinking about all this. So might have to get into a better routine with that.
Lyra stardust - Yay for trigger. This time next week you'll have a beautiful embie on board. Perhaps you can be the one to get a rush of BFP's happening if not one of the girls already in the TWW.
Porshe - Not long to you get to start jabbing - how exciting.
Keta - sounds like you DH is starting to think about things, it's a lot to process. Fingers crossed this cycle works for you. If not we are all hear for you. I think it wasnt until my Dh watched Empty Arms Broken Hearts by Tears and Hope that he really let all his feelings out and was able to talk about the overwhelming feelings he had about this whole venture. He was just used to bottling them all up. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it but be warned it is not upbeat and is guranteed to cause a therapeutic cry.
Mrs Mac - Yay for first injections
Vic - really hoping this weekend brings good news for you and AF doesn't arrive.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
ReeRee- how did your BT go today hun? I hope your cycle is going well and the injections are not giving you to much trouble. I have been getting some headaches and nausea but nothing to bad so far.
Hi to all the other lovely ladies out there. Hope you are all well.
Thanks for all your encouragement, means a lot to me
Porsche, yay for a new cycle!
Jane, I'm glad you've found some distraction at the gym, and a gym buddy to share it with!
Lol Lyra, having sex to get pregnant! Good one! If only - it would be much more enjoyable, and cheaper!! Woohoo for trigger too! Argh the 16th seems so far away...
Hiya N2l, fantastic stuff with the weight loss, go you! And I wanna just send more your way, I hate that you are still 'in here' with us instead of graduating to a happier place..
keta, I'm hoping the metformin will be kind to you, best of luck hun!
Krikkit, how are you holding up? Have you been poas any more?
Myturn, good idea with telling everyone you are having a break, this way you can really surprise them if it all works out this cycle!
Mrs Mac, ugh headaches and nausea are no fun boo to that!
No bloods for me today, 2 nurses and multiple jabs and none hit a vein!
Had the ultrasound done though, the technician barely said boo to me but from what I could see there looked to be a few follies on each ovary growing. Continuing with 187.5 GonalF and starting Orgalutran tomorrow, with bloods and scans every 2nd day starting Monday!
Before I know it we will be at EPU then transfer! Eek, nervous, excited, realistic/optimistic, can't-quite-believe-I'm-doing-this, all at the same time :/
Hi girls, I will be hanging around again soon cos i just took my last pill- HOORAY - so will be CD1 of a flare cycle as soon as AF shows up, which hopefully is sooner rather than later as I have been spotting from the pill for 5 weeks now and i just want NO MORE BLEEDING!!
good luck to everyone, no chance of catching up with persies as its way too busy in here but just want to say -
Keta- glad your appt went well and DH is starting to consider ivf, it sounds promising
Hope you are having a great weekend. Just a very quick one...
ree ree- yuk no blood poor you, I hate the digging around for a vein! I also related to your story of the technician not saying boo to you! Made me think of me straining to see the screen while lying legs akimbo haha. Don't these people realise you have all your hopes pinned on this thing? I'm guessing no. I'm much pushier than I used to be... what's my lining? how many follicles, what size? what's my oestrogen? I reckon it's my body so I have a right to know.
Saffy- I really hope AF shows up soon so you can get started! Exciting!
AFM- well it has been 36 hours since my trigger so I should be ovulating around now... not feeling anything yet which is odd. I normally get very obvious pains. Anyway I may go and post on the TWW as I am offically in the TWW woohoo! Role on the 16th!!!
Thanks everyone for your responses to my ramblings, I feel not so alone this cycle and it's good!!
