Joeve - too funny! Yay for chinese herbs - they always taste like cr*p but sounds like they worked! Fingers crossed.
Vic - biopsy sounds yuck but glad you made it through, Hope you're feeling better now and that you get some info from it soon.
Gotta dash or we'll be late for swimming lesson but - CD1 for me (HRT FET) and scan booked for May 29. So odd as I only get AF normally due to medication (one of the reasons for our fertility probs - haven't had a natural period in YEARS and YEARS) so I was like "Oh ****, gotta find a tampon so I can swim with DD!" ha ha sorry TMI - but I did find one
Just had a scan. It hurt Lining really good but my ovaries are MIA so she couldn't tell if I have a follie ready to pop. BT should reveal more. Seratec is almost positive.
The downside is I have to go back and do it all again on Sunday
Welcome back Mrs P. FX that this FET leads to your BFP.
N2L - Sorry the scan hurt Good luck for Sunday x
Joeve - Yay to trying naturally and cm.
AFM - Have recovered from yesterday. I feel tender in my ovaries so I guess the stimming must be working. Roll on Monday for scan. Have a great weekend ladies.
Lol Joeve, funny you should say that! They hide behind my uterus. Apparently they have no interest in being dildo cammed.
Speaking of which, FS's, if you're reading, poking, prodding and pushing the dildo cam further and harder into my nether regions hurts. A lot. I know you need to see but please remember there are sensitive Bits at the other end of that hard probe
Vic- thanks for adding me to the TWW- it's so exciting for me to be in that bit down the bottom!! My BT is 31st May (although I plan to start POAS maybe 10dpo- sorry just can't help myself) I really hope that your biopsy does the trick!
N2L- naughty ovaries. Maybe they're just hiding cos they want to surprise you with fantastic follies!
Joeve- always good to keep DTD fun If head butting's your thing then go for it hehehe
Mrs P- yay for AF!
AFM- well had my iui and am now freaking out as the sperm sample wasn't great, and I found a site in google that told me that my chances with that sample are 3%. WTF??? Bloody google. Have now gone from penny positive to negative nancy. Oh well, all I can do now is wait. Maybe I'll just be that lucky 3%...
So nice to readf your updates. Sounds like things are progressing along for everyone with stabbing, scans and biopsys. Hoping that they all lead to that elusive BFP>
AFM - I'm feeling quite down. Another of my little brothers just announced they were expecting and whilst of course I'm excited for them I just keep feeling like my nose is repetitively rubbed in the fact that I am infertile and can't have kids on my own. Thats 9 of my closest friends and family expecting babies. I barely know anyone anymore who isn't UTD or already has a brood of kids. SO feeling left behind - this sucks! I know you all understand. Struggling to remain opptimistic, but while I still have 6 embies on ice I have to keep going, in the hope that maybe just maybe I'll get to be a mum too one day. Sorry, just needed to vent to someone who would understand.
Clinic called. Not quite surging. Progesterone is 1.5, LH is 16. Probably see a surge on Sunday, which means transfer on Thursday....the day DP has a corporate golf day and is playing with Ricky Ponting Pray for snow girls
I came back to work post transfer... Which might make you want to do the opposite!!! Hardly a walking success story here
Could you swap a day at work for a different day off?
Work days are pretty much locked in due to daycare arrangements. But good idea though! We haven't told anyone we have started IVF again, we want to actually try to make a 12 week announcement like 'normal' people! So even our parents and my bestie don't know. I think I will work in the morning and take the arvo off if I think I need it. I've got about 10 days of annual leave so really that is quite a few, wouldn't be so bad if I used a few of them. Also it was quite nice for my last transfer as I took myself out for breakfast, did some window shopping, had acupuncture, had lunch, had transfer and went home to the couch!
I'm just trying to learn about what will happen, so I'm not surprised.
I've never had general anesthetic before, so that kinda scares me.
Oh and of course, the needles.
My FS has put me down for an antagonist cycle- that's 2 needles a day!
Anasthetic is weird!! You are chatting then suddenly waking up! Messes with your head a bit. And weird cause you know they've been prodding around in your private parts
But the drs and nurses are lovely.
Antagonist is the quicker cycle so it means you get answers quickly. But it's also a bit harder physically as your body is being pumped with mre drugs... It will be over before you know it though.
Emma- the Retrieval was the part I was most scared of and it was really over before I new it. The hardest part was waiting to go in sitting nervously in my sexy blue gown with matching blue booties. Once I was taken into the theater they got me to lay down and within minutes I was out of it and woke up in recovery. And it's true that now I have done it once Im much less worried about doing it again although I hope my FET will be all I need and with any luck you will never have to do it again after this either.
