Hi ladies kaybee thats fantastic!!! fingers crossed all fertilise! my past clinic called me everyday to tell me the progress of my embies but not sure with westmead, after egg collection i go straight over to the clinic to find out the quality of the eggs and sperm but after that im not sure?
Thanks ladies for the advice, DH and i have been discussing the embryo issue and we are pretty open minded to go with what the scientist thinks is best, our last 4 were day 5 and we got nothing out of it, only 1 pg that ended in a early miscariage so i figure why not try something different? maybe the embryo's will be more successful where they should be rather then in a container? We have also been discussing if we do a day 3 transfer maybe we should put 2 back? I dont know i think we will just keep an open mind until EPU. Wouldnt think it could be such a hard decision to make but we just don't want to make the wrong one.
Is it possible to get AF while on the injections? just feel a bit heavy today, iv had tenderness in my ovaries (which is obviously the follicles growing) but the heaviness is in the middle like AF's coming?????? could this feeling possibly be from the injections? sorry its just too long ago since my last STIM to remember.
Yogi, sorry I can't help much but if I'm around another girl who has her AF mine usually comes faster.
Kaybee, so glad EPU went well! FX for some nice strong embryos for you and a quick recovery.

Scan went well this morning with 12 follicles looking ready for EPU next Wednesday, just took my first orgalutran tonight ouch! but not too bad. I think I might be able to avoid OHSS this time yay!
kaybee - 10 eggs is fab, hope you get great results. My clinic is really good, they call about every 2 days with updates.
ehm - sorry to hear about that, I keep getting told I am a difficult patient too!!
saffy - glad to hear you are taking some time off work, relax and enjoy getting ready for christmas & make sure to take extra special care of yourself.

Aimee that sounds gr8 12 follicles!!! how many eggs have you got previously? You will be in the 2ww with me too there is going to be a few of us i think! im so excited but nervous about my scan tomorrow!! iv had a few small pains in my ovaries last night and this morning im hoping that its nothing to worry about and the eggies just growing!
Thanks nicole, thats the same as my other clinic but i think day 2 or 3 transfers are more for ppl that only get a few eggs but hopefully i will get aroung 15 like last time and they will suggest to do day 5! Goodluck with AF arriving hope she is here soon (she never comes when you want her too) so frustarting!

AFM, I am finally O'ing now... 5 days later than usual for some reason. Unfortunately my reception here is non-existant so I couldn't talk to FS when she called with third set of BT results and to direct me to next actions So I don't know if I am meant to start Pregnyl jabs on Monday.... Apparently she is in surgery today, so will have to try and get the helpful one on the phone! Maybe my luteal phase will be relatively longer seeing as 1st half of cycle was 18 days??? That would be good. But, at least my body is cooperating so far even if was a bit slow!

Kaybee, sorry to hear that (hug). As Loops said you only need one and earlier this year we got a really good quality blastocyst from just 4 fertilized embryos. Fingers crossed for you hun, and relax over the weekend.
Kaybee don't stress i got 15 eggs last time and only 10 fertilised (using ICSI) and i still got 4 embies (which is good apparently) you do only need one like the girls said, keep positive xxxxx
hey girls. well its been a long time since i've been here, but i am back for some more punishment. first appointment with FS next week to try for #2. Very exciting. I have so many questions for him. My pelvic floor is still ****e - dont know if this is a problem?? Am still breastfeeding bubs so i will have to stop shortly which is sad. But, i guess it's the next step forward! Looking forward to the future!!

Kaybee - I got 11 eggs last time and on day of transfer only ended up with 2, they were a great 2 though and I did get a BFP but lost it a few days later, fx all works out for you HOWEVER I know how frustrating this all is.
oneday - yay! will be good to have some TWW buddies, I don't really talk to my girlfriends about IVF much and don't really have any friends who've had problems TTC or miscarrying so I'm really grateful to have others to chat with! Last stim cycle I ended up with 13 eggs and from those I ended up with 2 blasts. I do worry my eggs don't like the ICSI but we have had no fertilisation before so I don't want to risk it. Goodluck with your scan tomorrow!
nicoleh - hopefully AF will come as scheduled so you can get started on time
Kaybee - sending hugs and hoping that those 4 will stay strong ready for transfer, I think I hate the roller coaster the most!

Firstly - thank you for putting up with me being so negsy yesterday. I was in a lot of pain and after hearing that more than half of my eggs had died, I thought it was all for nothing. So, thank you for your hugs and your patience. People who don't know what it's like wouldn't have put up with me.
Kass- yay for the end of that chapter, finally. It's a hard decision now - when to go again. It would be nice to have a drink over Christmas and not worry about ivf.....BUT it would be nice to know you're on the way to being UTD again. Ah, the dilemmas!
Aimee - how are you feeling? I don't know how many eggs are linked to OHSS, I think it is a bit more complicated than just a number - two people can have the same number of eggs but totally different oestrogen levels. Sorry!
JJ - Hi and welcome back. Good on you for jumping straight in with a little bub at home - I wish I hadn't left it so long to TTC #2 but I thought I would be one of those miracle stories we hear about. All the best!
LMM - have you had any luck contacting FS yet? There's always something there to make things that little more difficult isn't there. Anyway, yay for your Oing ovaries.
My pains have started to ease a bit and am hoping everything settles down for transfer on Tuesday. The nurse said she thinks I had a bit of mild OHSS, but I reckon I'll have it under control with lots of water and rest. It has to be the weekend when I have lots of friends in town for weddings and things, so just when I want to lie around doing nothing everyone wants to try to meet up. I don't want to do anything but feel so rude if I don't explain. Anyway, have a lovely weekend ladies.

AFM- scan went well, EPU is on tues was hoping for mon but some of my follicles are still around the 14/15 mark so the nurse wants one more night of puregon. I had about 6 that are a really good size i asked her how many eggs does she think i will get and she said about 8 that should fertilise? or maybe more so not sure if that means they will prob only get 8 eggs in total or 8 after fertilisation as some havn't reached muturation yet, but tues will tell all so just have to stay patient till then I cant wait for tues and she put my mind at ease a bit with my pains she said there is no way AF should come and the pains would be from my ovaries being so big.
We're having a great little break visiting family and I think the timing is good

Kaybee- its understandable to be disappointed, I would have been the same, onwards and upwards though and good luck for tuesday. Can't believe you have full social calender- that will be hard when you should be resting, hope it works out x
Kass- hope you enjoy your xmas whether you try or not, glad your levels are down (IYKWIM), I felt better when mine dropped cos it doesn't drag on and means you can start afresh ( not that we should have to, but thats another story!)
Aimee- not sure about OHSS, my ovaries need a bomb put under them to work so I haven't had the pleasure of overstimulating lol, hope the fluids keep it at bay x

jayejaye- welcome! Pelvic floor shouldn't be prob for conceiving but can be a hassle later in pregnancy, but depends how bad it is so talk to your dr. Hope you are utd with no.2 soon!
