Apparently it does, but I now can't read anyone's posts while I am typing.

Hope you are all well, and good luck to everyone coming up to EPU and transfer. Hope we get some Christmas babies in here soon!

Saffy, how did your test go? Hope you are doing okay.

Oneday, in terms of embryo age I think you have a higher chance with a blastocyst, but the downside is you don't get as many embryos. They don't yet know whether an embryo that didn't make it to blastocyst would have survived if it was transferred earlier. The benefit of blastocyst is it might reduce 'time wasting' with non-viable embryos. I did a blastocyst at my last transfer, but I am wondering whether I might revert to day three for the next one for the psychological benefit of having a transfer and potentially some embryos to freeze. My FS will only do blastocyst if there are enough embryos. At the end of the day I think it's s personal choice. Sorry for my rambling on the topic.

AFM: Saw the FS on Monday, and it was not the conversation I was expecting. Apparently the eggs degenerated due to infection by a bacteria that was picked up from me at the EPU. He has never seen this before!! He is recommending the same protocol with a course of strong antibiotics ahead of any future EPU. That's twice now he has told me he's never seen anything like it before - apparently I am very unique and complicated! Am week one of my gluten free diet. It's not so bad and really hoping it makes a difference with the next cycle. Aim to get my body in shape by then.

    Morning ladies

Oneday ~ What ehm said is correct - blastocycts are supposed to be better quality and with less than 5 days they dont actually know what the qualtity of the embryo is like. Ive now had two blastocycts transferred the 2nd of which implanted but then failed at 5weeks or so but then the last transfer we did was two 4 day embryos. So that did get me thinking, perhaps the 4day embies werent good enough quality??? So personally even though we still didnt get any to freeze and have to do another stim - I want to do blastocyct again because Id rather have a greater chance than getting hopes up with a 3 or 4 day, if ya get me. But in saying all this - Ive heard lots of people have gotten BFP's from a 3day. Whatever your decision I'll have FX'd tight for you. Goodluck.

SpringLola ~ thanks hun. Did you watch the video LOL? Goodluck on Friday, ! I love Christmas too - looking forward to it!

Saffy ~ same here hun, would rather be celebrating being PG with family and friends rather than getting drunk but because Im not PG I'll def. be getting drunk LOL. Hugs though - I know it will be tough xo. Yeh my body always stuffs up with the meds but in a couple of months it should be back to normal.
Enjoy your time up at adelaide xo

ehm ~ Unique can be good hun Hope they can make sure it doesnt happen again. Goodluck with the bod, Im on weight watchers trying to get mine in shape for summer and just to help me feel better and it seems to be working

Kaybee ~ thinking of you today and hoping you get some great eggies,

hi to nicole, LMM, Kass, habbybaby, True, Aimee and anyone else I may have missed, hope you are all well xo

AFM ~ I think AF is just about here, Im at CD30 today, my cycles are normally about 34 days but I think it could come anytime soon due to the meds. Ive got quite a few AF type signs right now. Have FS appointment next Thursday so that will be good - lots of q's to ask him for the future.

Loops- yeah bring on the alcohol- I had a glass of champagne last night and was off my face, so don't think I will be indulging much-haha, have lost my ability. Good luck next wek at Fs, it s good to know you can ask all your questionsx

ehm- thats strange!! God, isn't it awful to be the one that weird stuff happens to, at least there is a known cause that can be prevented next time, you are making your FS earn his money lol!

oneday- I don't know much more about it than what everyone else said, mine were blasties and obviously implanted so they got that far. Hope your other follies catch up x

    Springlola- good luck tomorrow!!

AFM- had my blood test yesterday and the hcg level was 6 ( has to be under 5 so I have to go back for another test next week- typical) Seeing FS in a couple of weeks.

I'm pleased because on Tuesday night the bleeding basically stopped and is over, so happy its done and I can move on, I've heard of people bleeding after a M/C for weeks.
I phoned my boss and asked for A/L next week and she forced me to stay home today as well, I feel like a fraud cos I'm just doing xmas shopping but its probably for the best given the nature of my work.

Hi to everyone else- nicoleh, kaybee, kass, LMM, happybaby, aimee xxx

    Hey Ladies,

Loops - I watched the filmclip - is that you carrying the water jug?. I loved it! Hope your appointment next week sheds some light on things for you.

ehm - How are you going, you complicated thing? Saffy's right - you sure are making FS work for his (her?) money. I guess, the more info they have the more they can finetune your treatment, but you are probably sick of hearing that by now.

Saffy - so glad things have started to settle down for you. Hope you are enjoying doing your chrissy shopping - remember to get something nice for yourself. Adelaide sounds nice - any time away is a good idea I think

Oneday - I can't really add anything to the debate, as everything I know has been said already. My clinic does standard 5 day transfers. I would discuss it with your FS to make sure they do what is best for you - not just a one-size-fits-all transfer, IYKWIM.

AFM - they got 10 eggs today and the clinic rang to say they all look good and so does DHs sperm, so will find out in the morning if any fertilise, then will get updates over the weekend. Is everyone else's clinic this good with sharing info???

I'm feeling really crap now - nauseous and sore, and to top it off DH has been really funny the last couple of days. I know this isn't a marriage forum, but just wondered if it was common around treatment time. I'm sure it's not just because of the hormones - he really has been saying some insensitive things and I feel like I'm in this alone. Anyway, yay - 10 eggs!!!

Sending lots of out there for all of us deserving ladies xxx

Saffy ~ yeh I probably wont be drunk but Ill have a few. Im a bit of an alco though LOL so I can hold my liquer pretty well. Enjoy your champas and Im pleased your bleeding has stopped and not much to go - you are nearly there and you can move forward. All the best chicky xo

Kaybee ~ 10 eggs YAY! I think its pretty normal for the guys to get a bit emotional and moody. But I hope he looks after you because you really need to rest. No cooking etc. Will be keeping FX'd they all fertilise and grow and divide nicely. My clinics only told me about fertilisation - didnt ring me with updates.
Yeh I wish that was me in the clip LOL and I wish DH looked like that guy LOL. DH does have a pretty good bod though so I can't complain.

Kaybee, sorry to hear that (hug). As Loops said you only need one and earlier this year we got a really good quality blastocyst from just 4 fertilized embryos. Fingers crossed for you hun, and relax over the weekend.

Kaybee - I got 11 eggs last time and on day of transfer only ended up with 2, they were a great 2 though and I did get a BFP but lost it a few days later, fx all works out for you HOWEVER I know how frustrating this all is.

Big hugs & hi to everyone else

    Hi everyone

oneday - yay! will be good to have some TWW buddies, I don't really talk to my girlfriends about IVF much and don't really have any friends who've had problems TTC or miscarrying so I'm really grateful to have others to chat with! Last stim cycle I ended up with 13 eggs and from those I ended up with 2 blasts. I do worry my eggs don't like the ICSI but we have had no fertilisation before so I don't want to risk it. Goodluck with your scan tomorrow!

nicoleh - hopefully AF will come as scheduled so you can get started on time

Kaybee - sending hugs and hoping that those 4 will stay strong ready for transfer, I think I hate the roller coaster the most!

LMM - that must be annoying not being able to get in contact with FS, hope you can get your instructions soon so you can get started.

AFM - am trying to keep my fluids up to avoid OHSS again. Does anyone know how many/few eggs are linked to OHSS?

Hi to everyone and hope your cycles are going well!
