Thanks springlola, we are only putting one back this time i just hope we atleast have one or two by sunday the next 4 days is going to be so nervracking! Dont be worried i think you have made the right decision and like you said it was going to be the last time so you may aswell give it a go, best of luck xxx

Thanks tantee for your PM and post, the pain has eased a fair bit, sorry for TMI but i think alot of my bloating and pain was gas, now that i have got rid of alot im feeling heaps better, i have an appointment with my GP at 5 so think i will go just incase and get a cert for the day off 2mo too. The nurse said i may have a mild case of it but to just keep my fluids up and rest and if symptoms get worse go to the hospital.

Hey happybaby IVF def is a huge rollercoaster, DH and i felt so good yesterday with our result and now with only 5 fertilising we are both really dissapointed and terrified of what the next few days will bring. Goodluck with your scan and cycle xxx

Has anyone been in my situation with around 5 fertilising and growing them till day 5? how many survived?

Oneday here's a quick run down of my cycles - all were grown to Day 5.
1st Stim DownReg with 8 eggs
    7 fert, 1 trans, 1 frozen

2nd Stim Antag with 7 eggs (this protocol was tried to get more eggs but was almost the same)
    5 fert, 1 trans, 1 frozen

So I got 2 from each cycle. Best of luck and I'm sending positive thoughts to your little embies to grow strong.

    Hey Ladies,

Oneday - it must feel like a bit of a let down after getting 20 eggs, but 5 fertilising is still a really good result. My first cycle (down reg) I think I got 17 eggs, 14 fertilised, 1 transferred and 9 frozen (it sounds like a lot but none of the frozen ones worked so I kind of wish there weren't so many to get through) and This cycle (antag) I got 10 eggs and 7 fertilised (not 4 like they initially said), 1 transferred and 6 frozen. So, after fertilisation the numbers didn't drop off. Remember to drink HEAPS of water. My nurse told me I could take panadeine as well, just not nurofen or aspirin. Hope you're feeling better hun

Might jump on later - need to have a little nanna nap xo

Hi oneday..... i got 15 eggs, 10 fertilised, 2 made it to blasts and i had one put back in and one frozen. The fresh one didnt work, but the subsequent transfer of the frozen one did!! So.....whilst it can often seem like you are "wasting" eggs, it only takes one to work!! I used to stress about so many not making it, but that is out of your hands, and the whole thing is stressful enough, so try not to worry!! Goodluck!!

    busy week in here!!

    Hello lovely ladies,

oneday, that sounds like a good result overall, though I am sure I would have expected higher than 5 too! I'll be crossing my fingers for you all week x

Springlola, I was shocked and upset to read about your experience - what a nasty and unprofessional piece of work!! absolutely disgraceful, I hope your complaint reaches someone who will respond accordingly. You did well to handle it the way you did and I am wishing you the very very best of luck with this cycle. Don't let the b*stards let you think negatively.

Sounding really good Tantee, I hope this is the one for you!

Kaybee, I love the visual of the 'hatching' blatocyst that sounds promising! And I know what you mean about the balance between being optimistic but not too convinced. Will do some extra hoping for you during your 2WW.

Loops, hope AF isn't too awful for you and best of luck with FS appt tomorrow!

Happybaby, so you could have a nice pressie by xmas good on you with the acu. I got lazy for a month and feel like it really took me a step back, so am booked in again for next week. How often do you go? And do you combine with herbs, or just needles?

Hi Nicoleh, hope all is going well with your jabs.

to Kass, Saffy, Aimee, JJ and anyone else I missed!! Hope everyone is going along well.

AFM, my first jab was a embarrassingly awful. First I cut my thumb open on the glass ampule when I opened it and had to get DP to remove glass with the tweezers and then I got all flustered and teary and couldn't do the jab myself!! It was ok in the end and I actually didn't mind how it made/is making me feel at all. I slept almost all the way back to NSW and have felt very calm. I think I must have a serious hormone deficiency!! Anyway, another jab on Friday and then I will be half way through 2WW.

    xx

    Hi everyone

Sorry have been missing for a few days, have been really busy.
LMM - Oh dear, those glass ampules can be so tricky! Hope the next one goes ok!

Springlola - I'm so sorry for how you've been treated, but am glad you went through with it as at least you can say you tried, fx a pleasant surprise for you too!

Oneday - Ohh so sorry to hear about your drop off, he highs and lows are just horrid. My FS forced me to drink heaps of powerade even though I hated it and I found it really helpful with the OHSS.

Kaybee - Congrats on your transfer, hope all continues to go well!

Hi to Jayejaye, Happy baby, Tantee, nicole h and anyone else I've missed hope your cycles are all going well.

AFM - Oh my goodness, got a huge shock today, at my last scan I had 12 good sized follicles. Today when I came out of EPU noone could tell me how many eggs I had, what the? Is all they said was lots. Apparently I got 30 eggs! I have no idea how that happened, FS was a little freaked out and said I have to go back for a checkup before the weekend and that we might not make transfer because I have OHSS. Also, he did mention quite a few will be immature, but hopefully they will have a few good ones to work with. I guess I will find out tommorow how the ICSI went. I was so surprised to hear about OHSS as I haven't even bloated this time.

WOW aimee, 30 is huge! i think that it is possible to have more then one egg in a follicle? because i didnt have 20 and the nurse told me that some would be empty and wouldn't contain an egg. Good luck with your results xxx

AFM i still have some pain today, in my stomach and middle of my back and just a bit tender around my ovaries. Should i be concerned about this?
Started the crinone gel today, i foud it alot easier and less messy then the pessaries, i layed down for half an hr after even know i didn't have too but just so i get the best results from it and then when i got up nothing came out as with the pessaries as soon as i got up it was coming out.

Oneday - Sorry to hear that you are still not feeling great. Apparently your ovaries stay enlarged for quite a while and it's no wonder they're still sore after your collection. If you are still concerned though, I would ring the clinic and at least speak with one of the nurses. I hope it eases up for you soon. I was feeling great but overdid it a bit yesterday afternoon when I went to the Supermarket for just a couple of things. By the time I walked out of the shop, I was in quite a bit of pain so came home, took a panadol and layed down with a heat pack.

I got the call yesterday to say that 9 had fertilised, this has been my best result to date but my clinic does not check them again until day 3 so I will have to wait until tomorrow to see how many we're up to. I am trying not to think too much of it. (May have to distract myself with some retail therapy) I am going to start my crinone this morning too and although I don't need to, I'm going to take the 1/2 hour and lay down and read my book.

Aimee - Wow 30. How are you feeling today? Fingers crossed for you for some great fertilisation rates. Hopefully you can keep the OHSS at bay.

To everyone else, hope you are doing well!

    Hi everyone

hope you are all going well

Tantee - such good fertilisation results! Enjoy the retail therapy hope its a good distraction!

Oneday - ouch, this is my 4th egg collection and the 1 that I over-stimmed with was heaps more painful than any of my other EPU's, to the point where it hurt to move, DH even made fun of me for watching kids programmes on TV but I was too sore to get up and get the remote lol. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Have been vomitting but am hoping that stops today so I can keep my fluids down.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Tantee thats great results! i hope tomorrow brings more god news. Im so nervous about our results tomorrow, westmead too only check them day 1,3 and 5. I went to work and was ok still in a bit of pain but think i will be ok.

Aimee i hope you feel better soon, is there a reason why your vomiting? not from EPU i hope. How many of your embryo's fertilised? xx

AFM im a bit worried (i know i worry all the time lol) but heres my concern with my first STIM cycle my eggs were collected on day 14 of my cycle and TF was on day 19 of my cycle, after DTD (sorry for TMI) i sarted to spot on day 24 of my cycle which followed by a proper period.

This STIM i had EPU on day 19 of my cycle and TF will be on day 24 of my cycle! What if my period comes before, or just after TF and the embryo dosn't work? as each cycle AF has come a few days earlier then normal (my cycle is usually 28 days, so its only 4 days before im due). And the embryo usually does take 2-3 days to take, im just concerned with our situation this time with not many embies i will be devastated if i get it. Im really worried can anyone help?

    Hi everyone

oneday and tantee - the scientists rang today, out of the 30, 22 were mature, 11 fertilised, out of the 11 left, 3 died after ICSI (i think they said arrested?) and 8 hadn't fertilised, but I'm not sure whether they will give them more time or not. Either way I am quite shocked as I have had problems with empty follicles and immature eggs in the past.

But I'm not sure whether or not they will let me have a transfer, the nurse was quite worried and said I have def over-stimmed, but I feel ok. Have to go in for a check up tomorrow. I think I was vomiting from the general anaesthetic. I had already had several doses of anti-nausea drugs at the hospital. I must be a cheap drunk because previously I have only had twilight and have not remembered a thing!

oneday - I can understand your worrying, I might be wrong so I would check with your FS at your transfer. My stim cycles have also varied in length but I still make it to around 14 days after ovulation while I'm on progesterone support. If I'm not on the progesterone I barely make it to 7 days after ovulation. I also spot after DTD and won't let DH anywhere near me in the 2nd week of the TWW. But I guess I understand what you're saying about worrying that your body will take over and AF will come early like it has before. But hopefully your crinone will support your luteal phase and you won't need to worry about any of this and you'll have a nice strong BFP asap!

    Hi ladies

I had my scan today and my endo lining was only 5.4mm and needs to be 6mm before they schedule the transfer. So looks like it won't be until the end of next week or the beginning of the following week.

I hope those that have had EPU are recovering well. I know it's an anxious time wondering if the transfer is going to happen. Best of luck.

    Hi all,

So much for me staying away from here during the TWW!

Oneday - how are you going, you big stress-head You worry almost as much as me! This time, I don't think you should be concerned though. Even though EPU was day 19 of your cycle you were jabbing up until then, so your body hadn't started the second phase of your cycle (is it call luteal phase?) until after your trigger and EPU which would be the equivalent of O in a normal cycle. So the time to count from is EPU not day 1 of your cycle. If you're worried though definitely call the nurse. Bring on our BFPs so we have a whole new set of issues to start worrying about!

Happy - bummer about your lining. Come on and fatten up endo!

Aimee - I hope you're over the worst of your OHSS. Keep skulling the water so your transfer can go ahead.

Tantee - great results so far! Hope they keep on doing the right thing FX

AFM - trying to be nonchalant about the possibility of a bub growing inside me. I hope it's still there - hanging on tight, but who knows. I hate waiting. I've never been much of a POASer until last cycle - when is the earliest you guys usually test? Wish I could get my mind off things. Haven't been too up or down yet. Sorry - I know this all belongs in the TWW thread but there's no-one I know in there. Anyone want to join me there?

    Hi Ladies
Just another quick one from me.

Aimee ~ I hope you are feeling better soon, but well done on such great results. Goodluck, FX'd

Oneday ~ thinking of you and that everything works out for you!

Also thinking of you all stiming and in the TWW, really hoping to see some BFP's real soon, goodluck to all and

AFM ~ FS appointment went well yestie, he wants us to get blood tests for a few different things and looks like we will probably have another go in May. Will be for a miracle in the mean time however. I hope the tests bring something up so we know what we can fix. He also said he wants us to go back to the long cycle instead of doing Antagonist - feels that will be better for us but he will up the dose of Puregon etc TO 450iu to try and get more eggs that way.

Good luck Springlola. Yes I had my second session of acupuncture tonight. I did it with my last FET cycle too and figured I should give it another go seeing as I got a BFP last time and it's very relaxing too.
I told my therapist about the lining being a little thin and she concentrated on my uterus and put four small jumper lead like connectors on some of the needles to stimulate them even more. Must say it's wiped me out and I'm off to bed. Hope my lining is growing nice and fluffy as my FS says.

Anyway have a great weekend everyone.

    Hey guys

    Can I join in here?

Have just started my first cycle of IVF.

Have been on puregon 200 but got a call from the clinic to increase that to 300 tomorrow.

Had my first scan today...6 follicles on left ovary ranging from <1.0cm to 1.3cm. Right ovary was in hiding so they didn't see anything as yet.

How does that all sound? I find it hard to get an indication from the clinic whether it's on track or not...
