(((((GBH))))) Nicoleh, I'm so sorry to read this and sorry you are feeling so sick on top of experiencing this loss and for your DH too. You can't help getting sick lovely, it happens to so many women and there seems to be a lot of the whooping cough going around at the moment, it's just one of those things and it is rotten bad luck and so unfair as if it isn't hard enough going through all of this TTC business without that happening :hug: I know so well how you feel. You will get through this though and things will look up again and when you are feeling better I hope you can try again. Take care x

Nicole there are no words to make you feel better right now, i was totally gutted when i lost mine. Let your self grieve as much as you need and your DH, i cried on and off for a week before i picked my self up and moved on and to be honest i still think about that baby nearly everyday and still have a cry sometimes. I know your prob asking why and what caused this but you have to know that it always happens for a reason and you are one step closer now to getting your BFP!!! Be kind to your self and treat your self to something nice you deserve it!! xxxxx

Thank you everyone so much for your kind words. I feel awful that so many of you have experienced the same thing as DH & I are going through. The fertility gods are cruel to us all - to finally give any of us BFP then snatch it away after what all of us go through. When I do gt some sleep with the whooping cough I jsut have nightmares about TTC.

Ok im on the pill (day 19 of my cycle) iv had some period cramping for a few days but thats normal for me about a week before AF is due but iv had some real light spotting when iv wiped going to the toilet!!! Im supposed to be starting lucrin on tues, will my cycle be cancelled if AF does come early???? Im so scared can anyone please help? I don't know why they put me on this stupid pill, im regular anyway and now its just stuffing my cycle up!

Firstly oneday ~ to ease your tension - nothing to worry about it normal to have spotting at that time - I did as well. If you're concerned, perhaps check with your nurse but it doesnt usually cause a cycle to be cancelled.

nicole and Kass ~ (((GBH))), I too know how it feels and Im very much feeling for you now. You will feel a little better soon. I also feel that my cold/flu didnt help my cycle - the timing really does suck!! Yes the universe is very cruel to us but testing our strength and we will get through. Thanks loops, i called the nurse and she said not to worry about it until its a proper bleed, she said if i havn't missed a day on the pill, it shouldn't come. I also asked if it was to come would the cycle be cancelled and she said not necessarily. So i guess i just have to wait and see. Please AF stay away :SAAF:

Oneday try not to stress my GF went through the same thing and her cycle went ahead like the other ladies and nurse have said its nothing to worry about

Nicole so sorry to hear your news. It just doesn't seem fair but like some of the ladies who have now gone on to have babies have said at least at that time even though it was painful it did bring them a step closer and they knew that their bodies would eventually get there.

AFM I have my EPU tomorrow morning and then going away for a few days to relax although I know I'll still be stressing about how my little embies are going. We are aiming for a day 5 transfer this time which will be on Saturday. I'm excited as I've never done a day 5 and each time I have had a day three I've always worried that my embies were dying inside me before getting to day 5.

Saffy ~ thanks for asking about me Im pretty good despite no baby. Two day5 embies, sounds great - i'm feeling positive for you. :crossfingers:

AFM ~ happy and proud of my DH who got a new job - truck driving. No more milking cows for him, he'll be transporting them instead - he is rapped. And I am doing weight watchers and losing a bit of fat. We are just trying to enjoy life and our finances are nearly back on track as well :)

Saffy, my acupuncturist/TCM doc says hair dye can stress your liver and affect your hormone production so I left mine - regrowth and all - til after my bt but really, I can't see how it'd make that much difference so maybe see what the others say.

Loops, good news about the new job for DH and well done for loosing some weight - hope you're both feeling a bit better. Glad your finances are recovering too!

Terry, good luck today, hope the EPU goes well and you get a lovely day 5 embryo to transfer. A few days off sounds good.

I haven't been around much since transfer - I was trying out a new coping strategy! Well, I just POAS - I never normally do, I usually wait like a good girl till the big BT- but my bro and SIL had their baby yesterday and I was feeling very jealous (immature, I know), so I thought it would just be easier to go and see them if I knew that my baby was snuggled nicely inside. But it aint. BFN. The test said it was accurate 5 days before period is due. Mine is due in 2, so it wasn't too early to test.

Oneday - I'm in Melbourne and going through Monash IVF. They close on the 17th of December so AF needs to turn up by the 27th of Nov for me to fit in another FET.

It will be my last FET too. :pray:

Saffy Have you always had 2 embie's transferred? I was going to have 2 last year but I changed my mind just before the transfer (from a stim cycle). I think I will have 2 transferred if I need another Stim cycle next year.

Nicoleh- I feel for you- I got sick after my last cycle was cancelled and it feels like your body is kicking you when you are down, I hope you get an improvement in your whooping cough and you can start to try and feel better :hug:

happybaby- this is the first transfer I've had- my 1st cycle was cancelled, we were going to do one then but as I am now 38.5, just thought this time- I'm desperate, go for broke! lol

Loops- hope the ww is going well, I think i am just going to get my hair done, it can't be that toxic or we'd all be growing 2 heads by now. I have bad skin from the crinone, excess kilos and I can't bear to have bad hair too- I need to be able to go out in public!

Kass- fingers crossed for a rise in levels and :noaf:

Kaybee-so sorry you got a bfn before visiting the new baby- its not immature at all, I get jealous feelings like that all the time- that must have been tough and you were brave to go, I hope it is still too early and you get a BFP atthe end xxx

AFM- in my tww, I think I am going to try a reverse psychology trick- I will write up a list of all the things I am going to do if I get a bfn- eg diet, drink champagne, ( I know those 2 don't really go together), go camping etc.

Yes ladies im finally starting the lucrin tonight, yipee im so excited!! Everything went well, they seem lovely at westmead and two good things to start off with- I will be getting $500 back off the clinic so we will only be out of pocket $950 (this was the no claim option) we would have got back $700 but this is our 2nd STIM this yr. And we also get money off the gov to help with travel expenses as we live 100kms or more from the clinic! Im so stoked with this :) Iv still had some spotting but nothing to worry about, i stop taking the pill tomorrow anyways and the nurse said i should get a period on the weekend or before.

Just a question, have you ladies kept your ovidrel and puregon injections in the fridge? I know with the lucrin you have to, the other injections say store below 25c but i put it all in the fridge, i guess it shouldn't matter should it?

Oneday - sounds like you've made a good move switching clinics! I always keep my puregon in the fridge, and take it out a few minutes before doing the shot - less chance of bruising that way! Is ovidrel the trigger? If so that lives in the fridge too :)

Saffy - I do the same thing! It's nice to have something to look forward to after bad news so I've usually got some champers in the fridge, or a nice bottle of red on standby.

Nicole - hope that whooping cough clears up soon - sorry that you've been so sick

Hey Kass, yes i also think we made the right move :) yeah the ovidrel is the trigger shot, its all in the fridge and im pretty sure that i kept all of it in the fridge too last time regardless of what the box said. How are you going? x

So my last day of taking the pill today so im hoping AF comes on in the next few days, has anyone had any probs with her coming after being on the pill? My first shot of lucrin went well last night, its funny because it feels like it was so long ago that i have done this (feb/march) but once i got that injection ready it all felt like it was only yesterday! I got a bit itchy from the injection but funny because i did too with my first shot of lucrin the first time!

Also ladies thought id let you know my nurse told me lucky i didn't want to use the synarel spray instead of the lucrin cause i prob wouldn't have been able too. Australia is low on it at the moment and they may be discontinuing it? If you are through westmead this costs an extra $200 ontop of the initial fee xx

Saffy, I completely understand with the hair dying - nothing makes you feel better as much as a good haircut and colour. Hope you enjoyed the pampering! Mmm cake sounds great, think I need to do some baking today...when do you test by the way? I've lost track. You've been very quiet (if you are going crazy) so I'm hoping that everything is going along perfectly. Grow embies grow!

Oneday, glad the injection went well. I was the same last IVF, you sort of forget then it seems like you only just finished taking your last injections. I'm really keen to see how you go through Westmead and how it all works for you as next year I think we will try one last cycle there if our frostie doesn't thaw out/take. Good luck!

Just a quickie from me today, got to clean the house after weeks of neglect. Feeling much better in myself now, looking forward to the end of the year and my brother coming up to have Christmas with us. I also have some exciting news... I won a scholarship to do some study overseas next year. I applied for it as a plan B if our IVF didn't work out so now that it is actually happening, I'm starting to get excited about it. My DH is taking his long service leave so he's coming with me. We'll be gone for four months which is the longest I've been away. I'm nervous about it but think it will do us the world of good to have some time away from life at home and TTC. I hate putting off trying again with our frostie but my body is all over the place and I think psychologically we both really hit rock bottom this time so we've decided to just do it. Anyway, that's enough from me! :hug: to everyone having a hard time and :stickyvibesgirl: to everyone waiting for good news x

Believe me, 4 months wll fly when you are doing something new and exciting! I lived in London for 2 years (ages ago), it was awesome!
I am switching between being calm and getting hysterical- I am 4dp5dt ( so 9 dpo)- should I be feeling anything yet?? I have no symptoms whtsoever and am so scared it hasn't worked, or is it too early?? I am even contemplating doing POAS soon- ridiculous i know. I have a full wekend of social activities coming up and don't know if thats a good or bad thing, if I start spotting/AF I will be a mess. My blood test is next wednesday, so a week away, I'm sure I will have had af by then. BOOHOO! (crazy enough for you? lol!)

Oneday- I think I got AF a few (3-4) days after stopping the pill, that was when I was on syneral, the next time I wasn't and she came about 1-2 days after stopping but I was spotting heavily through that whole thing so it all blended into one- gross I know. I have 1/2 a bottle of syneral left maybe I can sell it on the black market lol

Kass- hope you are still cruising with no af!

AFM- just took my cats to the vet for vaccs etc and got a gold star for the weight loss of one, he was porking up a bit but is now trim and terrific! Now off to the hairdressers, I am being paid tonight and this plus the vets expense will leave me with a zero bank balance til then, should have timed it a bit better really. ...i've been on a break since my miscarriage in august. I started seeing a herbalist and getting super-fit blah blah blah and all that!!! Anyway....finally i'm back here and getting ready to start ivf again, this will be our 8th ivf egg collection in 4 years. I feel like a real ole chook with this game!! :lol:

I need to read over this thread so forgive me if i'm a bit slow in what you are all up to, i look forward to getting to know you and i'm keeping myself wrapped in the yogi position for lots of great news to come real soon :pray:

My test is tomorrow - haven't been able to think about much else today! I still have no physical symptoms. Still doing poas - the second line is nice and clear - definitely stronger than this time last week, but still not as strong as the control. I really hope it's rising enough. How long should it take to be as strong as the control line? Any idea what my level should be now? (was 25 a week ago)

I'm making myself just a little crazy with waiting. I think if it's meant to double every couple of days then it should be at least 300 tomorrow - and that should be a pretty strong poas result! Why isn't it? I really hope it's ok.

Kass? What did I miss?? I didn't realise you'd already had a positive POAS (or did I? sorry a bit vague today!!) That's GREAT news! I hope your levels are really good tomorrow - my SIL didn't register as pg AT ALL and my niece is now 1 1/2 so sometimes it can go a bit slow. Good luck to you - can't wait to hear. We need some BFPs here, you ladies deserve them so much.

Thanks Saffy! I'm so nervous about the whole thing - had a few glasses of wine tonight to calm down and a big bit of chocolate! I got an email this morning with the dates and it will be 5 months, not 4, that I'll be away so one month without DH which will be a bit of a test. We are pretty independent of each other but I've gone all sooky today about being there on my own for 4 weeks. I'm doing a Masters degree in Fine Arts so I'll be heading to the UK to study. I've always wanted to live OS for a while so it will be a great experience and I have two good friends already in London so it will be an adventure. Not a bad Plan B after all and hopefully I'll still be able to give things a go when I get back. And I don't want to see any familiar names when I get back OK! Pg forums for the lot of you FINGERS CROSSED x

Just wanted to say thank you for your kind words and support. I POAS again this morning and still nothing. I am so gutted. I rang the clinic today to ask if I could possibly go straight into a full STIM cycle and they said yes. I wasn't really expecting this and have to make a decision very soon, before AF arrives, if it's what I want to do. I still have 4 frosties, but the 5 best ones have already been used and haven't worked, so I feel like just starting again. But then, what if the next one is the one? You know what I mean. I am so over this process. I feel like a gambler, throwing all of my money and hopes into something that just never eventuates.

Kass- when i got my BFP i was at 75 7dpt mine then doubled after 2 days and then again after another 4 days but then after that it slowly went down. I was told the hcg level should double every 2 days but sometimes it can be a bit slower or faster. Goodluck today i cant wait to hear your results xx

Kaybee- what a shame about the bfn and now you have a hard decision to make- I understand where you are coming from though, not wanting to "waste your time" ( for want of a better phrase) if the remaining embies have a low chance of success, its so hard to know what to do. Have you discussed it with your FS? Maybe get his/her opinion, although no doubt they will leave it up to you to decide :hug: to you hun xx

Alice- hey don't worry I will come and be your chaperone if you want in England!! I love it there- my DH is a pom and we always said if his job stuffs up here we can go and live there for a few years, shame about the weather though lol. Don't be too nervous, the culture is very similar to australia in many ways, and it will be quite cheap if the aussie $ stays good! They have to BEST clothes shops in the UK- cheap too.

You are absolutely right Loops, it is impossible to completely give up, I still find myself thinking about it even though I have one tube (blocked...and a stuck-down ovary on the opposite side) there is always a little voice that wonders. We can only hope! Good luck this month x

Kaybee, that is such a hard call to make. What did the FS say? Mine used to say 'you could have your whole family in the freezer' (turns out he was wrong!) I guess it depends on how old you are and how much time you have to try. I might be inclined, given my age, to go another STIM.

Hey ladies just did jab number 3!! lol. Saffy dont have proper period yet! still spotting (since sat) the spotting was darker today (not really light like every other day) sorry for too much info! so im hoping that means AF is only a day or so away? i only stopeed taking pill yesterday morn so prob takes a few days for the body to register that its AF time lol.

A very quick one from me, sorry. I am going the whole hog and doing a full stim cycle - an antagonist (whatever that means - I've seen it in here a bit). AF should be here today or tomorrow so start jabbing sat or sun. This is happening very quickly but it's the only way I can deal with this millionth bfn. More next time - we are heading up the coast for a few days, ahhhh

AFM: Have been laying low and keeping busy at work to distract myself from the waiting. My EPU is 8am tomorrow, and am hoping for better results than last time. We used a different trigger injection to hopefully get more mature eggs (6 / 11 were immature last time).

Kass i am so sorry! It is the worst feeling ever and there are no words to make you feel better but i hope that you are doing the best you can at this horrible time. Your one step closer, as my FS said its now just a matter of finding that right embryo! Be kind to your self and i found distractions were the best thing for me xxxxxx
