kass- oh kass what a disappointment, major  to you, I'm sorry it hasn't worked. xx try and stay positive, as oneday says you are one step closer.
ehm- FX for you epu today, hope you get good mature eggys x
oneday- yay for af, hope its your last one for a long time. I am trying to stop myself putting our xmas tree up until the 1st Dec, bought a wreath the other day so i'll decorate that next week! I love getting into christmas too!
Kaybee- I did an antagonist cycle, it was great, more jabs but I got a good haul out of it. Hope it is the one for you.
Alice-I always hear stories about people getting pregnant against the odds, so there is definately the chance of a miracle at any time. I read in a magazine the other day of a couple who had twins from IVF even though they only implanted one embryo- they thought it must have split but they were a boy and a girl- they don't even know which one was the ivf embie and which was the gatecrasher :D
AFM- have had a splitting headache overnight and this morning but have to do chores and go to work so will just have to put up with it- small amounts of cramping here and there but nothing much else to report xx
-
Kass, I'm so sorry lovely  I was feeling so hopeful for you, it's just crushing for you. I wish I could say something that would help, just be kind to yourself and take time to grieve. I hope you have lots of love and support from your DH and family and friends to help you through this time. It is one step closer, not that it is much consolation at the moment, but hopefully it means that next time you'll get your BFP. Take care xx
Saffy, that's a great story - LOL at the 'gatecrasher'. Sorry your head hurts :( hope it goes away. Keeping everything crossed for you. x
Ehm, good luck today, hope you get some good juicy little eggs there. Let us know how you go x
Kaybee, good luck with the new cycle, hope it's the one for x
Oneday, yah for the injections, fingers crossed, sounds like you're doing just fine - AF will be here before you know it then it's all systems go! Good luck x
Hi to everyone, Nicoleh sorry I missed you yesterday, how're you doing? x
-
ehm - how did you go with epu? Got a nice batch I hope
saffy - how is your tww going? It drives you mad doesn't it!! Be good and I would not poas till at least 10dpt
oneday - the christmas decs are up everywhere else so why not, have fun
kass - my heart goes out to you & nothing anyone says can make it better (I am still waiting to feel better about mine) although no consolation like everyone says it means you are that much closer GIANT HUGS
kaybee - thats great you were able to do another one so quick, my last was atagonist and eveything (except the outcome) went so much better for me that cycle - I was on puregon & orgalutran shots (no nasty synarel) good luck with everything (pm if I can be of anymore help with atagonist info)
Hi Alice & Loops and anyone else I have missed
afm - went back to the GP on Wed and they are now treating me for pneumonia, thought I was handling everything ok until I walked out of Dr office into the waiting room and it was filled with mothers & babies (like an idiot I burst into tears). Besides that coping not too bad, I have an appointment with my psych next week so she will be good to have a chat with about everything and then see fs next Wednesday. Just have to get over this as I am desperate to go again in Dec.
-
Hi Lovely Ladies. Just dropping in quickly to say the EPU went well, and we got 9 eggs. Am waiting anxiously for the results tomorrow and am so hoping they are better than last time. Heading back to the couch now.....
-
Thanks Saffy :) i too am hoping its my last AF for a long time too. I hope your headache has passed and i hope your cramps are implantation xxx
Thanks too Alice, its feels great to have everything starting again!
Very true nicole, i put it up this time last yr so what the hay xx
Ehm, congrats thats a great result i have everything crossed for you that you get good success with them xx
Ok so im pretty sure AF is here? sorry for TMI but the bleeding has increased to everytime i wipe going to the toilet paper there is dark red blood but its prob not as heavy as my period would usually be on the first day? but then i have been spotting for a week and the pill has kinda put my body all over the place! I was going to ring the nurse to say im on day 1 but i know they like day 1 to be a proper flow so i will call on monday so i can see how it goes over the w/e! Iv had really bad back pain all day too.
I hope everyone is doing well xxxxx
-
oneday - don't know if its any help but the af I have after stopping the pill is never like a normal af, its more like really heavy spotting and there is only really blood when I go to the loo & wipe etc... not much need for products if you know what I mean!! My clinic has always had me start and I am glad cos each time it was af.
-
Hi everyone, thanks for the hugs, I'm a bit miserable at the moment, but I'm also really glad that it stuck for a little while. After my first 6 bfns I was really doubting it could ever work for me. At least this has given me a bit of hope for next time. Still a bit teary though.
Oneday - I've had a couple of times when I've been unsure if it's day one or not too - If it's been a few days of spotting it's probably a good idea to let them know - they might get you to have an earlier blood test just to be on the safe side
ehm - that's great! Hope they do really well overnight!
Nicole - I hope you're getting heaps of rest and this sickness goes away asap - sending some healthy vibes your way!
Alice - thank you - it means a lot
Saffy - I read a similar article a while back, amazing that it could happen!
Kaybee - hope your jabbing goes well tomorrow
How are you loops?
Sorry if I've missed anyone - hope you all have a great weekend
-
HI laides, Thanks nicole that helps to know although im so confused this just isnt like my body!!! yeaterday i was sure AF was coming (heavier/dark red) but over night nothing! even when i went to the toilet and then again this morning more blood but just no constant flow and no need for pads etc. Im just worried as they need to know day 1 of my period, well how do i know that when iv been spotting and nothing is constant? And i thiought that we need to have a proper bleed before starting gonal- f or purgeon? Sorry everything just stresses me, can anyone help? not sure if i should contact the nurses and ask or just wait till mon?
-
Oneday- I hope this doesn't confuse you more but my clinic just says that you might get either a period, spotting or nothing after finishing the pill and they dont care either way.( although they also allocate a Day 1 to me cos they do monthly cycles and get everyone in sync) so I don't know that you are expected to get a normal period, they will tell you anyway if you ring them- I'm sure its not the first time its happened to anyone! Good luck!
-
Not great news this morning. None of the eggs fertilised. Not sure what is going on as we've never had this problem. We are both devastated. We need to take some time out and try again in the New Year. Am having a BIG glass of wine tonight!
-
oh ehm I'm so sorry
-
-
Hi Ladies
:( sorry we arent having a very good run in here lately.:grouphug: 2011 will be a much better year for us all! Heres hoping and :bluedust::pink-babydust:
Kass and ehm ~ feeling for you ladies :comfort::hug: Hope you can pick yourselves up pretty soon and definitely go out and have a big alcoholic drink. Better luck next time for both of you and hoping you can have another go soon.
Kaybee ~ Antagonist cycles are supposed to get better quality embryos. I dont know if they were any better quality for us but we certainly got more collected and Ive heard lots of others have had more eggs and also very good success rates with antagonist cycles. Also its less emotional and the process is quicker - so all positive there. Goodluck hun! FX'd.
Oneday ~ hope that AF does the right thing so you can start properly, FX'd.
Nicole ~ hope you're ok hun and feeling much better very soon - hugs
Hi to all and I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Im at work today but looking forward to a 30th ****tail party tonight and I guess in a TWW - natural but still going to drink as I need some fun and good times.
-
ehm im so sorry to hear! it must be so hard and it just dosn't seem fair or right. This really is a horrible rollercoaster we are on! xxxxxx
Thanks girls yesterday AF was more like a proper period not as heavy as i would usually get it but it is def a period so i think the nurses will take friday as day1?
I hope everyone is enjoying there weekends :) xxxx
-
Hi ladies, thanks so much for your kind welcomes,
I'm sad to read the news here lately...am so so sorry ehm  that just S%#$S!!! Do you do ICSI at all? ...anyway try not to think about it all at the moment and look after yourselves, have a few strong drinks!! Take care xxx
Big hugs to you too kass, I've had quite a few chemical pg's, its VERY frustrating. All you can do is keep strong and hope that next time will be a real sticky one! Be kind to yourself xxx
Kaybee, good to hear you are back into it, sometimes i think thats easier than waiting around to start again. May this be your lucky cycle :crossfingers:
oneday86, best of luck for you too..happy jabbing!
nicholeh, i hope you get better soon and you can start on the rollercoaster again.
I know i've missed a lot of you, still trying to catch up with you all, forgive me! I am due to start antagonist cycle in about a week. We are nearing the end of our ivf journey so not too many cycles left in us, we just keep praying (to someone somewhere) that our baby is waiting for us. After 4 m/c's though i am really worried that i just can't carry a pregnancy ever, feels like its just something my body cant do. Anyway, we have about 10% hope left so its still something...gotta be in it to win it!!
Enjoy to rest of your weekend girls!
xx
-
ehm- I am really sorry to hear that, what a shock and you must be devastated, great big hugs for you xxx
nicoleh- wow hope things are improving with your health, you must be very sick of it all, chin up and I hope the pneumonia is gone very soon.x
Loops- did you get some nice ****tails? Sounded like fun!
Yogibear-you sound like you have a good attitude, I'm sure it will get you what you want! I know of a woman who had 7 m/c and ended up with 2 babies ( not that I'm hoping you have 7 but just to show you anthing is possible) Best of luck, FX this is the one xx
oneday- your AF has kept you on your toes this time, hope she nicks off soon anyway.
kass-are you feeling ok hun?
Kaybee- how are the jabs going? Good luck, I think antagonist cycles are great!
Alice- hi love, thanks for the pm, made me feel better about it! I am starting to struggle with my tww now, whats happening with you? Hope you hada good w/end.
AFM- depressed and ready to say I don't think I will get good news on Wednesday ( BT day) My boobs aren't anywhere near as sore as last week, have had cramping and feel like i have bad pmt and that AF is around the corner. Bl**dy hell, why can't anyone get any luck in here. Feeling sorry for myself, I hope i will be more positive tomorrow.
-
Hello ladies!
Thanks yogi bear :) That must be hard, 4 miscariages! it will be your turn very soon so dont give up hope! but i can understand your loss of hope. After my 1 miscariage and 3 failed attempts iv started to wonder how long it will take or if it will happen at all and how much will we put our selves through before we give up, i dont know the answer to any of it but i guess i will keep fighting for our baby for as long as i physically/emotionally/financially can? The only thing any of us can do is take each day as it comes, it just dosn't seem fair all the trials we have to go through to get a baby when its so easy for alot of ppl. Best luck with everything xxx
Saffy im just glad AF is here so now i don't need to stress about it but she should be gone tomorrow or tues :) Im sorry your feeling down :( its so hard to try and stay positve on the 2ww when we are monitoring everything but my 1 pg experince has taught me that you just never know! I had cramping the whole time, started to bleed and i was pg! so dont give up hope, i didnt get sore nipples untill 12DPT and the only other sign i had was really clear skin on my face (but this wasn't something i noticed until i found out i was pg) I hope your feeling better, chin up xxx
AFM- DH and i went for a drive to the westmead clinic today so when i go down for my ultrasound on my own i know where to go :) then we went to parramatta shops to do some xmas shopping! Nothing else to report jsut enjoying jabbing as sick as that sounds lol.
-
Hello everyone :hello:
I am about to start with assisted conception this month, so thought popping in here and introducing myself would be a good idea :)
I have skimmed over some of the last 6 pages to try and get a sense of where you are all at... and I can see it's been a rough trot around here recently :(
sending  to those of you who have experienced loss recently, and lots of encouragement to you all!
I am always amazed and impressed by the strength and commitment of women (and their partners) who stick in there for the long haul and ride the roller coaster of LTTTC.
LMM

Welcome littlemissmountain :) BB is such a great place to be when going through IVF, before i found this site i always felt alone and i had no one to talk to that could understand my pain but now that im on BB i love it and all the amazing women help me through my own journey. I hope your stay on here is only short (i mean that in a good way) and that your STIM goes smoothly, i have everything crossed for you. When will you be starting? xxx
-
Is there a chance
Ok, so I woke up this morning so depressed and crying, boobs completely soft and not sore, so bit the bullet and went and poas and....:bfp: :o
Its not strong but definately there, I am 9dp5dt, BT on Wed, my Af would probably not be due until thurs/fri I think ( I have long luteal phase). Only symptoms I have are occasional cramping, feeling a bit seedy this morning, like i got no sleep ( have had 7hrs) and feeling like an emotional mess.
I'm scared its not going to stick and if I test tomorrow it will be gone, can anyone look in their crystal ball and tell me it will be ok????
-
Afternoon ladies!
Saffy ~ YAY for a BFP!! Being very emotional sounds like a good sign I was thinking that when I read your post from yesterday. The other signs sound promising too, :crossfingers: tight.
I had a very nice time at the ****tail party thanks - it was a shame about the weather but the drinks were very yummy :)
Oneday ~ So happy for you AF came properly and you can get started. GOODLUCK hun!
Yogi Bear ~ Nice to see you in here. Wishing you all the best for your Antagonist cycle, FX'd! Im very sorry about your m/c's - my work colleague had 3 losses before getting her precious miracle who has just turned one. I really hope this one works hun so you dont have to go through anymore stress. All the best!
LMM ~ :welcome: Wishing you all the best for your ART! "Here here" to what Oneday said, BB is the best!!! Hope your time in here is short (meaning that in the best possible way)!
AFM ~ Got back yestie arvo and did another OPK to find 2nd line pretty much as dark as the control so dont know if Im O'ing now or whether it was a day or so ago, anyway got some more B'Ding in last night so :crossfingers: now.
-
Thanks for the welcome ladies. Great news re +OPK and PG tests for you two!! I hope this could be your month :)
I was thinking that maybe I am in the wrong place... everyone here seems to be doing STIM/IVF etc. I am going to be trying HCG booster (Pregnyl) this month but that is the extent of my 'assisted conception' at the moment. So I don't really understand a lot of the things that you chat about in here. Kinda feel like I don't really fit on any particular buddy thread though!!
Anyway, my ticker is a little bit out for some reason... I am off for my LH BT on Wednesday and then will be BD'ing like mad till about 4DPO when I will have my first injection (second one 7DPO). Do any of you do intramuscular injections yourself?
have a great day everyone.
xo
-
OMG Safffy!!!!!!! That's WONDERFUL WONDERFUL news. :leap: Oh, I'm not surprised you're all emotional - wow, that's great and I know there must be some fear too but apparently every pregnancy is different, what you had once isn't necessarily what you'll have this time, and lots of women get NO symptoms AT ALL so you can't rely on that. Ooo I so want to jump up and down and get excited for you...I'll do a little happy dance here and wait for the official news. Hang in there - maybe they can bt you early??? Would bo so good to get some happy news in here, what a rough time everyone has been having.
 Ehm, I'm so so sorry for your news. I had that on my third IVF cycle, it's very disappointing but the next cycle I got my first pg so if you can, hang in there and don't loose hope xx
Hi to everyone else
-
Hi everyone
Saffy that's really great news to get a BFP. :p
Kass & Ehm I'm really sorry things didn't work out for you both.
Welcome Littlemissmountain. I'm not familiar with using only hcg injections to assist conception. Best of luck to you.
oneday glad your cycle is on track.
Alice sorry I've missed what stage you're at, hope it's all going well.
Yogi Best for luck for this cycle. i hope this is the one for you.
loops Lets hope the Bding has paid off.
AFM i'm waiting for AF to show up to start my next FET. Should be some time this week. :crossfingers:
Hi to everyone else i've missed. :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:

Saffy congrats!!!!! See its not always what we think it is! wow i hope you get really great levels on wed!!!! Goodluck xxxxx
Good luck Happy baby :) i hope this is the one for you xx
-
Saffy that's awesome!! Hopefully that line's going to get darker and darker!
Happybaby - good luck for your transfer
lmm - good luck with your shots - The first one's the scary one, then you discover that they're really not too bad at all :)
Loops - good luck with the bding!
Yogi - hope this is the one for you fx!
afm - I was expecting af to arrive as soon as I stopped the pessaries, but all weekend nothing happened. Which was nice, because today I am in such pain!
Does anyone know if you can do another fet straight after a chem or do you need to wait another month?
-
saffy - that all sounds very promising, you know what happened my last cycle but in the lead up to my bfp poas I was extremely emotional - crying or feeling like I would kill someone, hope the line gets darker and you get a great number on your bt, then we can really celebrate!
will catch up with everyone else next post - I promise
afm - starting to feel a little better, see fs Wednesday and I am hoping that my being sick does not ruin my chance for another cycle in Dec fx as I am desperate to go again one more time this year
-
Just jumped in quickly to say
OMG !!!! Saffy I nearly burst into tears when I read your post...
 I have everything crossed for you..
AFM: Waiting on AF they are trying to push me through for another cycle in December..of course she hasnt turned up. So we'll see if we get in, have til Thursday.
Doing Antogonistic this time, hopefully that will give me more than 2 follies.
Hi to evreyone else, I've been a bit of a mushroom since the last cancelled cycle..but will try to catch up..again!!
:D
-
Hi ladies :) springlola you and me will most prob be in the 2ww togeteher then :) im doing a long down reg cycle but i start the puregon injections tomorrow! Goodluck this time i ahve everything crossed foer you xx
Nicole, fingers crossed for you that you get better really soon xx
Kass, I think you can do another FET straight away, after my miscariage i had the option to do another one straight away. Check with your clinic as they could be different. xx
AFM this cycle is flying by, i start the purgeon injections tomorrow!! :)
-
hi ladies thanks for your nice words-
feeling a bit gutted, I did night shift last night and just woke up this morning- poas ( first response- dark line yesterday) and the line is lighter than yesterday, sorry to be negative but not feeling good about this.
-
Hi Lovely ladies
LMM ~ definitely yours is still Assisted Reproduction and you should stay :) We may be able to help. Ive had other friends just do the needles on their own. Goodluck with the jabbing hun and FX'd for a BFP straight off the bat!
Saffy ~ Stay strong and pos... Ive heard others say their lines have gone lighter and then darkened up again, might just be the test. :crossfingers: tight for you!
There are a few of you about to do another go before Christmas ~ wishing you ladies all the very best and :stickyvibesgirl::bluedust: to all
Hope everyone is well
Lou xo
-
Hi Ladies,
I've missed a lot again - we just had to get away for a few days which was really nice.
Kass - I'm so sorry! How are you going? There's nothing worse is there - I really wish there was something I could say. You should be able to go into another FET when your hcg drops below 5. When it gets close to 5 make sure they test you the next day (not the usual 2 or 3) because one time with me - my other hormones had already risen when the hcg had dropped enough - it must have happened during the few days between blood tests. Does that make sense? Not trying to scare you - just informing you. Hope you can get going again.
ehm - massive HUGS for you. Have you seen your FS to find out what the hell could have gone wrong and what the plan is now?
Saffy - it's looking good! I totally understand your fear. Even with a bfp we are all so scared to breath that sigh of relief. Anyway, I have everything tightly crossed for you!
I haven't got much time (have to write reports before I fall asleep) so promise I will catch up on persies tomorrow.
AFM - I have been jabbing for 4 nights now. It feels so wierd doing this after so long. My last stim cycle was over 3 years ago when DS was conceived - it's been all FETs since then. Is anyone else on gonal F then cetrotide- it seems like you're all on puregon then orgalutran. Do you think it's all the same, just different brands? I don't know if it's just the anxiety of it all or the hormones already, but I feel horrible.
Anyway, gotta go xxoo
-
Hey Kaybee, im on puregon this time but i was on gonal-f last time! The reason they have changed me this time is because they are putting me on 125 (1st stim i was on 175 to start with i think?) as last time i was a bit over stimulated and gonal-f dont go that low for injections but i think they are both the same just different brands :) i start my puregon injections tomorrow!! so we wont be far from each other for EPU and transfer. Wow that is a long time since you have done one, how may embryo's did you get from your last STIM? I wish you all the best for this cycle xxx
-
Saffy, hang in there lovely. Hoping with all my heart you have good news tomorrow and can celebrate. I'll be gone all day so won't get to check until evening but I'll be thinking of you and sending you lots of stickyvibes and babydust (too tired for pics tonight!) xx
Hi to everyone else - will catch up tomorrow, sorry for the quickie x
-
Goodluck today Saffy! im sure everything will be ok, i have everything crossed for u xxxxxxx
-
Hi Ladies
Saffy ~ thinking of you and:crossfingers:, waiting for the wonderful news. Goodluck hun
Kaybee ~ Goodluck hun. I think there are quite a few of us that have just dne or now doing an Antagonist Cycle. Thats what the orgalutran needles are for and usually I think Puregon goes with the antagonist needles. Although Ive never had Gonal F only ever Puregn. Think its different across clinics. Are you doing Antagonist or normal IVF stim? All the best hope you get a little brother or sister for your lil man very soon!
Oneday ~ Goodluck with your jabs and FX'd for you this cycle!
AFM ~ feel like AF coming already - way to early as Ive had migraines. Perhaps its all the treatments stuffing up my system again. Ill probably get AF on time or early this month and then next I'll be like 40 days or something ridiculous - always seems to happen after stim.
-
Hey Ladies,
Saffy - any news??? I am sending heaps of sticky vibes your way
Loops - how annoying is the mess these hormones put our bodies into. Hope your sorts out soon
Oneday & Loops - thanks for the gonal f info. It is definitely working - my E2 was over 2000 today after 4 injections, so I'm starting the cetrotide tonight. I'm hoping my follies don't grow too quickly because if EPU isn't next Thursday it'll have to be down in sydney (rather than just near here) and DH will have to come and 'produce his sample' in a little cubicle (instead of at home) and I will never hear the end of him whinging about it.
Good luck girls
-
quickly sneaking on at work to say BHCG= 194-woohoo!
But, progesterone only 36- not sure what its meant to be but its too low, so have to stay on crinone
Starting to get more confident, still spotting tho, thanks for positive thoughts xx
-
Yay! Congratulations Saffy! That is such wonderful news, and about time we had some in here! I don't know how to do emoticons on my phone, but if I could there would be lots of jumping and dancing for you.
AFM: Have picked myself up after a few tears and feeling a bit better now. Did some retail therapy on the weekend and baked a big chocolate cake. Will distract myself with finishing renovations over the next few months. Meeting with the FS next Monday, and think he will recommend ICSI. Also seeing the counsellor with DH to regroup a little. Will catch up properly with everyone when I am back on my PC.
-
Saffy, I haven't really 'met' you on here, but I found myself thinking of you all day today and trying to send some positivity your way! So very happy for you that you have had some good news :) :)
Do you girls have to go and get your 'jabs' done for you, or do you do them? :hello: and GL to everyone this month...
AFM, I am off to get my BT in the morning, should hopefully O over the weekend and my 2nd BT on Monday will show what levels have been like. Then HCG injections at 4DPO and 7DPO for the first time. Have been feeling a bit :( this week and my temps have been all over the shop, but saw my acupuncturist/naturopath today and feel a bit calmer and up now. She gave me some new ideas and I will see if I can carry over some of the positivity she instilled in me.
