Clinic just rang. Hcg now negative (no surprise there) and they definitely think it began to implant but stopped. I wonder if PGD would prevent that?? Iykwim....
We are doing a FET this cycle. I wasn't sure but DP wants to give it a go...

    Back later for persies x

    Hi everyone,

I too was wondering where everyone was up to...

AFM, I'm taking a month off after a very full-on time with surgery, stim cycle and FET without a break. FS called on Monday night and answered a few of my questions. She is still confident that she can get us pregnant and said that the fact we make (what appear to be) such good embryos is a big factor in our favour. She is sending me for a whole lot more testing so hopefully that sheds some light on what is going on. From what I can tell the testing is for all the clotting issues- prothrombin gene, factor V leider gene, MTHFR, etc.

    How is everyone else?

Im so sorry n2l. I know nothing anyone can say can make this right I hope things go well for you for your FET.

I also got my BFN this week. Had a BT on Wed which my FS rang me to give me the results at work! Which left me totally unprepared!! I think I knew it was coming, but it didn't make it any easier. I still bawled like a baby
(thankfully in my office) in front of my work mates who happened to walk in when I was talking to my FS. So he wants me to have a month off to recover. Has anyone else had to do this after a stimulation cycle? We are thinking of having Dec off also so we can enjoy christmas without the stress of money, appointment etc. Which rules me out for the rest of the year!!!! We are gutted.
I'm just so emotionally rung out. I know this is only my first IVF failure, but I still feel as though I lost a potential baby. Stupid I know.

Oh well. Af has arrived today, so I guess I just need to hope the next few months go super quick!

I hope everyone is doing ok.
    Take care

    Hey Rach,

I totally understand that feeling and I'm sorry Honey, but in my experience it only gets worse... And of course it's the loss of a potential baby! People talk about miscarriage as being an unacknowledged loss but so is this. As far as I'm concerned, it is alive when they transfer the embryo and all of your hopes and dreams amp up at that very moment.

As for the break, I think it is standard practice after a stim cycle to have a month off. When you consider what your body has been through, it makes sense that you should let everything get back on track. When the fresh transfer after our last stim (our second) failed, my FS advised I move straight into an FET without a break because I had just had surgery to remove endometriosis scarring so we need to take advantage of the cleaned up environment. But I think that's quite unusual.

My best advice to you would be look after yourself every step of the way and allow yourswelf to feel this pain, otherwise it will come back to get you...

    Hugs to you, Darling!

Sorry for BFN everyone- so disappointing and heartbreaking.

N2L we can be FET buddies maybe?? My AF is due in a week, so maybe I will be a week behind you x

Meg-I just saw my FS and got a path slip with clotting tests on too, I'm glad things are being checked for us, I hope you get some answers hun. I don't have to pay for blood tests ( I work for the healthcare system that owns the path company) so I told him to test away!!

Rach- I know the feeling, its really devastating to go through all that and get a bfn at the end

    Hi everyone else xx

I am sooo happy with my new FS, he is caring, I didn't have to beg for tests ( he suggested it) and he was genuinely disappointed that I miscarried. So cos I have had 3 m/c now he is doing clotting tests, I will do my FET when I get my next AF and he thinks I can fit in 2 FETs this year! WooHoo!! We talked about transferring 2 but if I can do 2 fets this year and get onto a stim early next year then I am happy with that. Just don't want to leave another stim cycle too late, the clock is ticking...

I'm so sorry to hear of more BFN's - they really suck and there is just nothing that anyone can say to help.

I am doing my trigger shot tonight and then its on to a TWW for me. Excited but also dissapointed as I have somehow gone from two great follies and one just behind them to only the one that will ovulate. Oh well I guess it only takes one huh! Unfortunately if it doesn't work it will be a forced break for us too. I will have to have a lap to investigate my tubes further and then its going to be December so I guess this is it for this year! Fingers crossed.

Hope you are all going ok.

    What the!!!!!

Thanks meg for your kind words and advice. Feeling a bit better today. Good luck with your testing! I hope you're able to get some answers.
Saffy good luck with your FET. That's awesome that you can get 2 in before the end of the year! I hope things go smoothly for you. Are you having a medicated or natural cycle?
Keta I hope your trigger went well, and I hope your tww is a quick one! I only ever got 1 follie with my IUI. It was either 1 or too many meaning I had to cancel the cycle. But as you say, it only takes one!
To top off my week of getting my BFN, a friend who knows what I am going through, and was actually with me when I got the bad news, sent me a text inviting me to her baby shower no less than 24 hours later!!!! Seriously!!!! Are you freaking kidding me!!!!! Talk about a lack of sensitivity!!!!
The world is against me I'm sure of it.....

Rach I can't believe your friend did that she really must not have been thinking! It is really hard when people don't think before they say things. I know often they wouldn't mean to have been hurtful but it doesn't make it any easier.

My trigger went ok and Im pretty sure I ovulated so now its wait and see because therest is out of my hands. I was so so bloated over the weekend and had to pee constantly. Not sure if this was from the trigger but either way it was really uncomfortable. On a positive my viens are so happy they will not be *****ed for a while - Im really bruise and with the warm weather coming its getting harder to cover up and the "I donated blood" excuse is only going to last so long

Hope everyone had a nice weekend and a positive week aead.

HI Keta, good luck for your tww!! Are you solo in the tww, its weird normally there is more people, hopefully you will have a tww friend soon. My arms bruise really badly from blood tests too, it is embarrassing but most people at my work know about ivf so its not too bad.

Rach- thats really bad timing, its like people do things like that on purpose!! We had a similar thing happen, the weekend we went away to celebrate DH's 40th his brother txted the morning of to announce they were utd ( unexpectedly) and due when we would have been if we didn't miscarry-omg I could NOT believe the bad timing, Dh waas so upset. I'm having a medicated FET to answer your question, the first FET I did I had spotting through the whole tww so I don't trust my body to act normally when its meant to!

Hi everyone else, hope you're keeping dry if you are in Vic xx

afm- had 9 tubes of blood taken this morning to check if I have a clotting disorder causing my m/c, my gut feeling is no but I'm no expert so will wait and see.

Saffy - 9 vials? That's a lot! I hope for you that the results come back all clear.

AFM - CD6 here, CD7 scan tomorrow after 100 mg clomid CD2-6. Any idea what size follies I should have?

Sorry for the lack of persies, clomid induced headache.

    It's so quiet in here...

Scan this morning, 3 big follicles, 16.5, 16 and 13.5, and 2 around 11. What the? I have to go back for another scan in 2 days to make sure none of the small ones pick up. Looks like I'll be triggering thursday CD9 for IUI CD10.

This seems so wrong to me. Lining was 6.5mm what seems like 2 days before O, is that thick enough?

M - it is pretty quiet in here isn't it. I hope your headache has eased and you keep just those three big follies. I have no idea about lining (they just told me mine was good this time and I didn't ask what defined good/bad) - sorry. Hope it alll goes well.

Saffy - yep it looks like it is just me in the 2ww. So I guess I'll post to myself if I start to go to insane

Not sure if this is normal (Im using prgesterone pessaries) but I am having a lot of cramping. It is way to early for implantation (trigger was Friday night) so hoping my body is at least going to give any possible fertilised eggy a chance. It has been such a wierd cycle (I supose first time using injectables will do that!) because I started with 2 big follies and one small. Then Wed I had what I thought was o pain then at scan just one follie on the right. So they triggered and then on Sunday morning I was certain I had the same 'o' pains. Hopefully we caught the egg and it is getting ready to be very sticky. Argh two weeks of this!
