On the countdown for AF I just want it to hurrrrry up so we can get this show on the road!!!
I keep thinking about what it will be like through all of this, guess I will find out soon enough.
Off to acupuncture soon, looking forward to it as it feels like the start of it all for me.
Hope you are all having a good day :-)

Mia - Wow, thats quite a drop. Glad your onto IVF. Seems like we have no time to waste.

Kerbear - It seems crazy when we cant wait for AF doesn't it? Good luck with the acupuncture.

Amy - Funny enough, I hardly see my FS. I see more of the nurses and mostly deal with them. I think I have seen him twice. Lovely man, but am happy to deal with the nurses. And as for the plan, I basically tell them what I want and they do it. They wanted me to have a month off in between FET's but I said, no thanks, time is ticking. I will be 41 on Jan 26, so hurry upready They were happy to oblige.

Jane - Good luck with the injections. Its actually the most empowered I felt. I felt like I was actually doing something. The first one is the hardest, then is amazing how quickly you become a pro.

AFM - Scan went well. Lining nice and thick. Transfer Tuesday 10th @ 11.30am. I have booked my flights. Yippee!! Although I dont want to get too excited this time. The BFN sure is harder to take with IVF.

Vic261- yay fingers are crossed for your transfer.
Acupuncture went well, it seems I have a lot of problems in general with my body that could be contributing to my problems conceiving, felt good after it. Have had really bad problems with my right leg and back and he worked on that to which has made it feel a heap better. I think it is something I will stick with even when we aren't doing ivf just for a better feeling of well being and to sort my screwed up body out.
Hope everyone is going to have a nice relaxing weekend.

    Hi ladies!

Amy, hope you're having a nice dinner tonight!

kerbear, I'm glad your acupuncture went well. A friend of mine swore by her acupuncturist.

Vic, yay for a nice thick lining! I'll have everything crossed for you on Tuesday

Just sitting here waiting for AF........

I'm going to have my landing strip on my head coloured in tomorrow (I think I missed an appointment somewhere as I've never has so many grey hairs in between visits!) and then off to catch up with some friends in the afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great weekend

I've been meaning to pop onn here and respond properly for a few weeks now!! sorry!!
I can't seem to get my head around where everyone is at - but I will try to reply to all - apologies if I miss you!

I'm starting most recent post first - and will see how I go - lol

@ Miss B - twiddling my thumbs for you enjoy the hairy - was thinking of doing that myself as I won't be able to dye my hair when I get preg next month. How's the head???

@ Kerbear - do you really think the acupuncture is worth it? everyone seems to be onto it here, but I dunno... surely dr's would suggest it if it was that worthwhile??? all the trad medicine stuff confuses me...

@ Vic261 - flying to see your FS???? ahh.... assuming you live country somewhere??? You don't have to say, but I had a brain faze when I first read that lol - I think you're right BFN is harder in a way, cause you have done so much 'extra' to make it happen.... I've only done one other cycle and I was bleeding before the blood test, so I knew - but the bleeding was so heavy and cramping was so bad - it was awful! I cried for the whole week as well.

@ Amy_jellybean - I hope the funeral was 'okay' and you are not feeling too flat. enjoy your social life - sounds like you've got a busy weekend ;-)

@Jane - am wondering whether I should also take a few days off - but last time I was driving myself crazy!!! I spent all day every day on here, and was totally obsessed. It was so much better when I went back to work!! I was lucky to have EPU the day before Melbourne Cup and ET the day after melb cup, so I had three days off in total (but was glad to get back to work!!) Good luck with yours. Sounds like we will be in the TWW together for some of it at least - and BTW - jabbing is not as bad as you think, you can barely feel it - and it's kinda empowering doing it yourself. My nurse made me to a trial stab in the clinic, and it was the best thing. The inital jab through the skin feels like it's going to be painful before you do it, but it's barely noticeable - a bit like grabbing the skin on the tip of your finger with a pin like you (may have!!) done as a kid

@Mia01 - a few of us on or about to be on the pill at the moment I feel like it's taking forever to get started - when my FS first suggested it I thought, yep, easy, no problem - but I feel like I am in limbo.... was nice to actually start doing something else this week...

@Keta - so did you find out about going off the pill early?? I am intrigued as to what they said or what you did

@Saffy - if you are stopping pill on 22nd Jan when do you have first scan etc?? or what else do you need to do? Sorry I've just scanned back to last month and am assuming the last cycle didn't work out, sorry about that

@Rach82 - how are you feeling?? - bit freaky when your body does something unexpected like that! It's been a while since your post - so maybe you have your BT result?? maybe you do/don't want to share - that's okay, just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you and hope it went okay.

@Janie71 - have you been able to start your cycle yet??

okay... so a month back and I think I managed to get most people.... sorry if I missed you!!!

AFM (BTW, I just found out what this stands for!! ) I am doing Down Reg - started on the pill on 19th Dec, and started Synarel on 3rd Jan - so I have to stop the pill on monday coming(9th) and then have my first scan on 16th so we will see what that brings. Depending on how my body reacts to the puregon this time I am expecting to be in for EPU & ET late Jan (maybe early feb), I am on a higher dose of puregon this time as I didn't respond that well to the drugs, so hopefully it will all work better. FX.
As I said in another thread - It's the year of the dragon (which is lucky) and I was also born in the year of the dragon (1976), so I'm going with the theory it's MY year! in which case I HAVE to be pregnant by April - but if it's before March then I will have my first baby at 35 (rather than 36) which would be better for my mental health!!! so FX - this better be the cycle that works!!!

(oh crap thought I'd lost it all ---- but just used the back button on my broswer and it was all till here -- phew!! all that work!!! )

    signing off for now xxx

Thanks missb first session so I will see what I think as I go along but has definately helped my back, normally my back kills me and I can't move after doing my new set of acrylic nails but it is heaps better than normal and he said it should improve more in the next couple of days.
Myturn- I have kinda had the theory it's worth trying, a lot of doctors have different opinions on alternative medicine but I have seen some stuff at my FS clinic about it in their piles of leaflets. I am going to someone who does infertility and ivf a lot and he does different thinks at different phases in the cycle.
If all it does is help relax me through the process it's worth it :-)

    Hi there,
I unfortunatley got a bfn with my last frozen transfer of two frozen bubs. Having January off, and hopefully will be seeing my FS in the next week or so to get back into the swing of things in February.
I also tried the accupuncture thing. I struggled to find one close by that specialized in fertility treatments. I went every week for about three months during my IUI and first IVF. I did find it quite relaxing and found I slept better, but at almost 80 bucks a session, I gave it up a couple of months ago. I have never told my FS that I was having accupuncture, and it was never something that was mentioned or encouraged, so not really sure if it's something they encourage. My husband continue to nag me to restart, as he reckons I'm much more chilled!!!
My turn- I hope things go well for your scan! Like everyone I also hope like heck this is my year. My whole life I have told myself I would have my family by 30, and with my 30th in a few weeks, I'm struggling to accept that it won't be happening..... Oh well, I guess age is only a number!

Myturn - thanks for your advice. I decided to go with the fs original plan and finished my last pill today. I figured if I have to drive to Dh at ovulation then I survived last time and will survive this time. As for testing being when I am over seas I will just wait until I get home. I haven't tested before the blood test for the last 4 cycles so should be doable (or I'm sure I can find a chemist in Singapore if I need to. Overall I can only hope it all goes as well as last time but with a bfp at the end. I have everything crossed for you that this is your cycle and you get your long awaited bfp. Hope your going ok.

kerbear, I'm glad the acupuncture has helped your back. The only time I ever had it was when I had m/s and I didn't think it helped me that much, although it did improve it ever so slightly. My friend went and got a special acupuncture for IVF and she said her acupuncturist said that her kidneys and uterus was cold so she got treatment for that and then her first attempt at IVF worked.

Rach, I'm sorry for your BFN. It really sucks. I on the other hand never wanted to have kids till I was at least 30 and then when I got to 30 I didn't have a partner! I only came into a serious 'he's the one' relationship when I was 35, so by the time we started trying I was 37 almost 38. Then I started running out of time! lol

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend

I am now cramping and spotting, so AF should be here tomorrow or on Monday. Bloody hurry up AF!!!!!

Kerbear - I'm starting on the pill in about a week and then synoral 2 weeks after that (I think). Egg Collection will be around mid to late Feb from what I can estimate for us. Bring on AF! Never thought I'd be saying that for us and Miss B! LOL
I tried accupuncture awhile ago but it hurt and just felt weird like he was hitting a nerve or something, apparently thats whats meant to happen, but decided not to go back. I have heard, however, that it is good for you and fertility Good stuff for trying it and giving it a go!

Vic261 - and with your FET, I will be thinking in you on the 10th! Let us know how you go when you can

Miss B - like I said to Kerbear bring on AF! LOL

Amy_jellybean - :hugs:, hope the funeral went as well as possible

My_turn- me too! I feel like I'm in limbo at the moment as I'm not on anything just waiting waiting for AF to rear her ugly head so I can start the pill. Atleast you're now on the synoral!
Any symptoms from it? Bring on the year of the dragon! Its a lucky sign. My bro and SIL are born same year as you aswell. I hope we all have dragon babies, maybe not literally tho LOL

Rach82 - :hugs: this will be all our year!! Bring on 2012

AFM - still waiting not much to tell, am just following all you ladies at the moment. Cant believe its already the 7th!!
I hope you all have a great weekend xox

OK ladies, really stupid question.......if I get the bright red bleed this arvo say 6 pm or 7 pm will that count as day 1?? I usually get the heavy bleed early in the morning, so far today it's been lots of cramping and dark brown discharge, currently changing to pinky brown (sorry TMI). We will be out tomorrow from about 5 till 9 pm, and if today becomes day 1, I'm supposed to start jabbing tomorrow from 6-10 pm. Helloooooooo!

Hmmm.... I would think day 1 is tomorrow - I was told if bleeding starts in afternoon or evening it's not counted as first day - but - having said that - I would also call the nurses in the morning and check with them before I did anything. MIVF is open every day so I can call and ask a question anytime. Are you able to do that?

Thanks myturn, heavy flow is still not here thank goodness as I would really prefer to start jabbing on Tuesday at the earliest anyway. Looks like day 1 could be tomorrow, so I won't be stressing about jabbing when I'm out and about!

Miss B - the nurse told me the other day that Day 1 would be full bleed before 12 noon if its after that then day one is the next day hope that helps
