Welcome back HB - I really hope you get your BFP this cycle. In regards to using donor eggs, it is something that I considered along the way and one of my sisters has always offered that she was prepared to be an egg donor if required. We never had to look at this as an option, but I definitely would have looked at it, although I think only with my sister. It is such a hard question and I think would take a lot of soul searching.
My turn, hope the BT goes okay - well as okay as it can given the circumstances. I too always thought I was going to be a younger mum, but circumstance and fertility (or lack of it) got in my way. I gave birth to my daughter when I was 37 going on 38.
Maruschke, I am sure it will be fine. It sounds like you would have squirted out what you dialed up first and then it would have reset and you would have injected the second dial up.
N2L how are you feeling? You are PUPO at the moment aren't you? Hope all is going well, sending loads of stickies your way.
Hi saffy and good luck with your transfer on Thursday.
AFM, well I had my FS appointment today. It was really emotional walking back in and a lot of emotions came back to me. It was lovely to take my DD and introduce her to my FS. Well he is really positive and says all 5 of my frozen embryos are of top quality. He said the fact that I am 40 now is not a concern and my embies are from my 36 year old eggs, he said this could make a big difference. So that in combination with the quality of our embies means we will be transferring one at a time, even though I am old! So we will work with my natural cycle, last time I had to use HRT, but I have had a cycle of between 28 and 40 days for the past 18 months. Hopefully all my paperwork will be back in time for day 1 but even if it isn't my FS said to still contact him as we may still be able to cycle. So long story short, it looks like we may be able to squeeze in a cycle before the end of the year.
Yeah - hopefully there will be time for a BFP before Christmas Just depends on my cycle, but even if it is a 40 day one, day 1 for the FET cycle will be 3 December. Fingers Crossed!
I have no idea I'm afraid in regards to the E2 results - I never had any BT throughout my stim cycle. I'm sure there will be someone on here that can answer that
It looks like there's a few of us all cycling together before Xmas - bring on the BFPs!!
Maruschke I have my BT tomorrow but I've never been given the results so I can't tell you what the levels should be. Are you doing an Atagonist cycle with the Orgalutran injs. Once I have the first BT they can usually give me the day to start doing those injs too.
Yep I'm supposed to start Orgalutron Sunday I think. 150 gonal f each morning then starting sunday adding an orgalutron (sp?) each night. Hope your BT tomorrow goes well .
maruschke- no idea, something in the thousands?? N2L might know, i think she asked about it a while ago. Sounds like you are right in the thick of it- jab away!!
happybaby-just responding to your question about using donor eggs- yes I will be considering it if I don't get pregnant in the next year or so, as I will be over 40. My sister has offered so I would use hers. Not sure about a random donor, but I can't see why not. We have a few patients giving birth to babies via donor eggs and some are in their late 40's. Anyway, you might be getting a xmas present!!!
Janie- hope you can fit in your cycle this year, sounds like its on the cards. I would LOVE 36yo embies lol, isn't it ridiculous what we get excited about!
Afm- transfer tomorrow- yay- and think I will start my clexane in the morning. I have to write all my medications down now, as both my cats are on meds too and our kitchen bench is like a pharmacy- don't want to accidently take the cats' BP meds!!
Hi girls - just wanted to pop in and wish you all the best with your cycles.
Saffy - good luck with your transfer tomorrow. Hoping so much that this one is the one for you!
I will hopefully be joining you all in here again soon. I have a fs appointment on Tuesday to find out our next step. I know it will definately involve an op for me of some form just not sure what the details are yet. So in the meantime trying to enjoy our first break in the whole ttc thing in a year and a half. Fingers crossed we can get back in the game soon. Hoping though to have a few more attempts of OI and TSI before IUI/IVF is suggested as getting DH to agree to these will be a mission.
looks like there's lots of action in here at the moment - I hope everyone is feeling okay about it - seems to be a positive vibe today.
BT yesterday was negative - but I knew, so I was okay. Managed to get into the FS today!!! only because of a cancellation, and there was nothing until after my next cycle would start.
I was quite anxious actually, I wasn't sure what to ask, what to say blah blah blah... but it went quite well actually.
we discussed the options, and decided to change to Down Regulation -as we didn't get as many eggs as we would have hoped and the cycle was long - so we will up the meds as well
I feel optimistic this afternoon - and it will be nice to have the month to not think about it. Especially when DH returns from his trip
So I'll sign off from here, and be back in the saddle for AC in december. I'll be stalking you all
Myturn I'm so sorry about your BFN. This LTTTC can just suck a lot of the time. It is great that you have a plan of attack for your next cycle. My stim cycle was a down reg. I hear that they often work well for us PCOS sufferers as it takes you back to a baseline where the FS can manage your hormones from.
Best of luck and can't wait to see you back in here.
Well I had my BT and get the results back in about 6 hours. Meanwhile, shouldn't I feel something? I feel really normal. This has been so easy (so far!). All I have is the tiniest amount of pressure feeling in my ovaries. Is that all it will be? I'm worried I mustn't be growing many eggs if this is all I can feel.
Maruschke how far into it are you? I don't think you will neccessarily feel massive yet, good luck for BT, do you have a scan soon? Oh I just checked I think you are only 5 days into stims, should be ok
Hey ladies,
I've been stalking this thread for awhile but feel a bit funny about joinng in as we are already blessed with 2 children (both ART concieved).
Anyway, TTC#3 is proving no easier than the last 2 so I think I'd like to share this rollercoaster.
I truly hope we can all get some good xmas news this year!
I'm doing an antagonist cycle again (never done down reg) with a multitude of added drugs - pred, progynova pessaries (yuk!), pregynl, clexane, antibiotics..... need my little checklist to be sure I do it all at the right times etc!
The antibiotics are the only real new addition this cycle so not expecting any miracles but sure would like one!
Marushke - I am pretty close on to your cycle. Also doing antagonist and today will be day 4 of stims. Have my first BT and scan tomorrow.
I've found it really variable what I will "feel" at any stage during a cycle. Some cycles my ovaries are aching within the first few days. Other times i've had 3o+ follies and barely felt anything.
I'm starting to feel a warm throb with the light pressure in my ovaries, wonder what is going on? I've also turned into an absolute f'n B*TCH. Not just a little but a lot. And I've been crying at the drop of a hat. I think the meds are working.
Clinic just called but didn't tell me my E2. Apparently everything is fine and I'll continue on 150 iu and add orgalutron from sunday night.

Meredith - Welcome! I remember you so well - hopefully you will remember me???
I too have a DD, but am getting back on the wagon for a sibling (hopefully). Having a child/ren already doesn't change how hard your current journey (don't you hate that word) is. I hope you get your sticky bubba very soon. Here to hold your hand along the way.
Maruschke - I didn't feel much ovary pain until the last few days before collection and then I could hardly sit down as it felt like I was sitting on my ovaries they were so swollen! Good to hear all is one track.
Hi to everyone else, not much happening here - just waiting, waiting, waiting for AF to arrive so we can get this show on the road.
HI Janie - yes I do remember you although it seems so many eons ago !!! Great that you have some embies from back in more "youthful days". I wish I even had some left from my 37yr old cycle!
Marushke - Sorry that things are painful for you but hoping that means lots of good eggies growing in there!
AFM - scan yesterday all pretty much on track as per previous cycles. 13 follies on L ovary and 19 on R but nothing over 9mm so early days. E2 at 1600 so they want me to start orgalutran today and back for another scan and BT on Mon. Starting to feel bloated and pressure in ovaries but nothing unbearable. expecting EPU may be next fri or sat. We have DS's 5th birthday party next Sun so I am going to have to be very organised getting everything ready this week as I guess Sat could well be a wipeout. We are not telling anyone about this journey either so can't really even enlist helpers without a good story.
Also just had a follow up call from my OB - I rang last week to cancel all my pg appts after the m/c. It was nice of him to ring given I hadn't even seen him for that pg yet but its still left me feeling flat - I wanted to get to see him for a pg... not a condolance call!
