Bec goodluck with getting a BFP, fingers are crossed for you.

porsche hope all goes well with your meeting and that they understand what you are going through.

AFM I so feel like crying at the moment. Last night DH and I had a bit of a fight over what to do next if this cycle didn't work (which now I know it didn't I got a BFN ) He wants to try doing clomid 100mg for another cycle as this cycle wasn't the best for DTD as both of us have had the flu. I keep asking him to read the booklets the fs gave us but he's not that interested which anoys me, just cause I'm the one with the problems and not him. AAHHHHH. But I just don't know I really only had that one day where I thought I o'd and bedding was good at that time. (sorry for TMI) Our next appointment with the fs is on thurs and our fs said last time that if this cycle didn't work he would like us to try FSH injections as well as clomid.. And to top it off I don't know if my boss is going to like me not coming into work till late due to having all the BT and US in the mornings if I do the injections. I'm just a little confused and don't know what to do and DH isn't helping at the moment.

    Morning Ladies,

Wow Tammara, 17weeks already I can’t believe it, so exciting. Are you going to find out the sex? Will you tell us? GL with your first midwife appointment.

HannahFroodoo, sorry hun, I’m not sure how early you can O on Clomid, I would defiantly think it is possible to O whilst still on them though, maybe it was just you on your own working and not the drugs, GL for that BFP!

Hope, fantastic news about the follicles, GL catching them.

Chez69, GL with this second round of Clomid, I hope it does the trick for you. I too went from 50mg to 100mg and experienced a lot less symptoms on the higher dose, strange hey?

Oh Porsche, I hope you’re ok Honey, meltdowns are totally normal, hope you had a lovely weekend and are feeling a little better. GL in your meeting today, yes you’re right you totally cannot be interrupted by work, hopefully they will understand and train someone else for you.

Nellym, fantastic news about O’ing, so sorry your not UTD though  Glad to hear the second round it treating you nicer. Oh yey positive conception thoughts, it’s been a while since they’ve been on this site (for obvious reasons) GL hun, I have everything crossed for you.

Jules, oh hun, hope you too are feeling a little better after the weekend, I totally get what you are going through but I promise you it is worth the pain. When do you get your results from your lap? Hopefully they will have some good new in store for you.

Claudette, WOW 31 x 11yo’s that’s enough to drive anyone insane. Totally agree with being more assertive with your fs, I think because they are the professionals sometimes we just agree with what they say, but at the end of the day it is our bodies going through the roller coaster and you should be able to do whatever you want. GL hun, and Bec’s right you can always cancel later if you don’t need IVF.

Liz, Oh hun, my DH was totally the same, not willing to discuss anything, really didn’t want to do IVF but couldn’t explain why and yes I too felt that it was my fault that we could not conceive cos DH had no issues. Remember that this is a team effort though, this is not all your problem to sort out. Unfortunately I don’t really have any advice on what to do with DH. I ended up packing up all our TTC things, thermometer, Elevit tablets, paperwork etc and putting it all in a box and not talking about TTC again until finally DH said to me one day “Is everything ok? You haven’t mentioned babies in the past 2 weeks”, he finally came around and we were able to discuss it. I think I was just bombarding him with so much information and unfortunately it takes them a little longer to process things. And don’t apologise for TMI, it’s great to be DTD when you’re not TTC, good on you, gave me a giggle too, thanks! Hope you are able to get things sorted before your app on Thursday.

Bec, FX we have a BFP postings from you, I can’t believe you haven’t bought a test yet. I have everything crossed for you love. If you are more comfortable on the Clomid then defiantly go back on it (if you need to that is), you know it works and hopefully Met will help bubba hold on. GL! Yes all is well with me thanks hun.

AFM: Not too much too report, ms is still hanging around (I’m not complaining though) and we have our 12 week scan this Friday, will let you all know how it goes.

GL to everyone this month, I really really really hope we see some BFP’s on here soon, it has been way too long.

    Xxoo

    Hi Ladies

So i may have been stalking this thread for a while!
Hubby and I have an appointment at the end of this month with the FS.
He is going to start me on chlomid, and i have a little idea what it is / does ... but i was wondering if i could get a few pointers or help with some questions on what to ask the FS about this drug and when/how to take it and when scans/blood tests should be booked etc ... cos you get scans dont you?

    TIA

    Hello everyone,

Claudette - I agree with Bec, get on that waiting list but in the meantime you can continue with other methods for ttc in the meantime. I hope you get your BFP prior to heading down the IVF path though. But we do what we have to I guess? - That is what my gf said to me on the weekend, I was a little shocked she was not more sympathetic towards how I am feeling atm but I guess she is right at the end of it.

Liz - Sorry about your BFP.... do you think it was too early to test though?
I understand how you are feeling towards your DH not being more interested in the booklets your FS gave you. I remember my gf telling me about their meeting with the nurse at the fertility clinic prior to them starting IUI & her DH HAD to know what was going on b/c he needed to help with the injections! Maybe if you get to that stage your DH will take more notice. The other thing is & sorry if this sounds condesending (it is not my intention) I think we are so much more emotional anyway and think ahead, probably too far ahead when we don't need to & maybe your DH is trying not to get ahead of where you are in your journey? I know that I am always thinking what if we have to do IUI/IVF etc.... but I don't bother discussing it with my DH b/c I know what he will say, we'll deal with it when we get to that point...... Anyway sorry for that long winded text. Thinking of you. x

Bec - Sorry if AF is on her way :S Is it really an issue going back on Clomid after doing the injections? Perhaps some intuition is kicking in? I have heard heaps of + reports about staying on Met whilst ttc & falling pg then weaning yourself off. FX for you, KUP

Porsche - I hope you are ok and that your chat with work is a positive one.

Keli - I get my results on the 8th June. A few friends thought it was a long wait & I should have know straight away. But I was very sleepy and took a long time to feel ok in recovery that I don't think I would have taken much in anyway. I'd rather chat in the OBGYN office about the results and the where to.... I just hope next week hurrys up cos I am a little impatient to get the results. I am actually terrified they won't find anything wrong..... I know if that is the case I will feel like a total failure :S GL with your scan on Friday, KUP

Kris - Welcome to our thread. I hope you can get some answers & your BFP soon. I take Clomid from days 3-7 and have a progesterone test on CD 21 to confirm I have O & what the levels are. I know some have more monitoring, like scans & stuff. Hopefully the other ladies will come in & give you some info on their experience on Clomid.

Hi to everyone else, I know I have missed a few persies with people & I do apologise.... I promise to be more attentive. x

    Hi Ladies

Miss Kris - I never had scan while taking clomid. All I had was the 21 day B/T. So it's going to depend on what your FS decides to do. Your FS will tell you when to take clomid. it's normally CD2-6 or CD5 - 9. Again it depends on your FS.

Liz - Perhaps your DH is afraid of the costs involved? I know my DH wanted me to do this last clomid cycle to delay the IVF because of the costs. Not that we are worried about money but YKWIM. I could just be he is afraid?

    Hi again,

Welcome Tia, to this wonderful, supportive thread. I hope your stay is only a short one.
I have always taken Clomid days 5-9 and at night time, most people will tell you this is the best time to take it as you will sleep through most of the side effects. However hot flushes and severe mood swings seem to be something none of us were ever able to avoid, be make DH aware of them early, he he! I always had a blood test b/w day 21-24 of my cycle to see if I had O’d on Clomid. I never had scans to check on my follicles but plenty of women have.
Hope this small piece of info is helpful to you, and GL with your TTC journey!

Jules, Yeah that sounds about right to wait a few weeks for your results, the only reason I knew mine early was cos I’m impatient and I asked as soon as I woke up, lol. I totally know what you mean about wanting something to be wrong, but just remember that if they cannot seem to find anything wrong sometimes all your body need is a bit of a flush out, they say they a women is extremely fertile for the 6 months following a lap, and we know from past history on this site that it clearly works, I have everything crossed for you though hun, KUP.

Welcome Kris! I have always taken clomid CD5-9, and had scans from about CD12 until I o. It will depend on FS as Porsche said. Definately take it at night, and be prepared for some side effects for the first round. For some reason they often lessen with the next cycle (unless you are UTD and only need to take it once! FX hey?!) The hot flushes are probably the most annoying SE and the mood swings, but they only last for the 5 days you take them usually. Also, invest in some 'preseed' becasue taking clomid can have an odd effect on CM and this might help. A few other girls might be able to shed more light on that?

Liz- maybe you could do what Keli did and just don't mention it for a while. Can DH come with you to the appointment? I found DH was more supportive once he was more intune with this being OUR journey NOT JUST MINE! Although it's my medical problem, the TTC thing takes 2. I did the FHS injections this months and it wasn't as much monitoring as I thought. Although my FS is a bit slack I think.

Jules- hope your feeling better, and the wait doesn't feel like forever. Hopefully just the lap itself will help, even if they don't find anything. Hugs

Porsche- how did the meeting go?

AFM: no AF and I still haven't tested. I just can't. Maybe in a day or too. This is very unlike me I know (usually by now I've done at least 3 early pregnancy tests!!!). I still don't feel much one way or another. Actually (sorry TMI) I've had in increase in CM the last few days. Maybe I didn't o at all...
Send huga amounts of POSITIVE VIBES TO ALL and sprinkling you all liberally with

    Hi Bec

The meeting went well. I knew it would though. It's not up to me to find someone now it's up to them and if they haven't sorted it out b the end of June well that's not my problem.

Has anyone heard of the sperm meets egg plan? I thought I'd give it a go on this last cycle. Dh said that he was just here to "top up my tank" lol Had to laugh at the big dag. God you should hear him waffling on in my ear about being a hunk a hunk of burning love lol God he's gonna make me sick!

    Thanks everyone for the messages.

Keli I will try not to talk bout it to much with him, it's just I want to know where his mind is at before we go to the fs appointment on thurs.

Bec, we are doing this whole thing together, DH has been to all appointments from the gp appointment to get a referral and all of our fs appointments. We both want to know whats going on and it's easier for both of us if we have questions to ask. My fingers are crossed for you to having a BFP when you do take the test.

Porsche I don't think it's the cost as the fs said how much it would cost to do the injections and we are ontop of everything at the moment.

Tia welcome to this thread it is a great one to be on and all the ladies are so supportive. Just a little on my clomid journey to see if it helps you. My fs doesn't get me to have the blood tests as he said that if a don't get AF or aren't PG then obviously the clomid didn't work, Oh I'm also on provera as I don't get AF regulary. I took the clomid day 2-6 and had it in the morning. I only had side effects on the first cycle and none on this one. Hope this helps you out GL with your ttc journey.

The thing I'm a bit anoyed about is he just won't talk to me openly bout how he is feeling (prob just a male thing ) and have a discussion bout it he just says keep trying clomid but won't elaberate. I don't want to seem selfish but it's my body and just have this feeling with whats going on.

Rhi I was thinking about doing another test either on wed or thurs morning before going to the FS just incase, I haven't had any real signs of being Pg other than every so often having sore BB's, but I get that when I'm due for AF to arrive.
