    Hi guys,
hope its ok if I join you in here, I'm also posting in TTC after miscarriage thread ( Hi porsche).
I'm on my 2nd month of clomid ( first was a dud though cos DH was in hopsital over my fertile days so I didn't count that one as real). Af is just about to start so seems this month is out also.
Just a question for you wise ladies- I'm thinking of taking my clomid day 3-7 instead of day 5-9, reason being I O quite early in my cycle approx CD 11-12 usually, and feel like I've already O'd by the time my clomid kicks in (I feel a bit swollen in the ovary area around CD15/16.)
I did a bit of research and it seems theres a lot of people taking at all different days, has anyone got any thoughts?
    thanks ladies!
    Hi Saffy

    I take mine all over the place. I know I probably shouldn't but I experiment a little. Normally I take it from CD2 - CD6 but I have taken it from CD1 - CD5.

What I found is that I don't O any earlier or any later than when I would take it normally (CD2 - CD6). I usually O around CD14, 15,16. I guess we all react to clomid differently. Some have 28 day cycles and others (like me) have 35 day cycles. We all differ.

Perhaps give your Dr a call and ask if it is ok to take it at a different CD. He/She may have a reason for you to take it on a specific day.

Bec - I'm going to be watching for your BFP announcement. A line is a line and it all sounds very promising.

Tammara - I'm thinking of you today. I hope it's all fine and bubs is going strong.

Linda - I'm baffled as to why your not being monitored. How do you know if you are Oing or not? Are you using OPKs (ovulation predictor kit)?

I wasn't being monitored either for the last 4 cycles as I was due to have a lap and the FS decided that I should keep going with the clomid to keep my cycles regular and then after my lap I got pregnant.

Might be different this time though. But I'm not concerned if she does monitor me as I monitor myself through BBT and OPK's. It will be different IF we move to IUI/IVF.

AFM first day back at work. Not sure how it will go. Bit nervous really.

Hi i was using the ovulation kit and got a + on the 15th day of m y cycle.Im pretty sure i felt my self ovulate on the 18 day.I can usually feel it when im ovulating. I dont know why my doctors not monitoring me.I keep reading about everyone being tested on the 21 days but my doctor just said to call in if i start my period or if im pregnant. The nurse make me a calendar from the day i started my period and when to start testing on the 10day of my cycle till i get a postive and have sex every other day after i reach a post on the ovulation kit. Thanks .

    Morning Ladies,

OMG out for a few days out so much is going on.

Firstly, Tammara, oh honey my heart just sank reading your post. I have everything crossed for you today, GL and I hope that you bubba is still sticking in there for you!

Porsche, hope the crying has helped heal your pain a little. You have been so brave. GL with whatever decision you choose to make about when to start trying again, I know it will be the right thing for you. Hope your first day back has gone ok for you.

Julia, lol, still can’t believe you can’t find the test, that is very funny. Heavy bb’s, that is the term I now use, they were always ‘sore’ before AF arrived but once PG they were heavy, not trying to get your hopes up but just having some positive thoughts for you. I’m not saying your not PG until AF arrives, fingers crossed for you!

Linda, welcome to the thread. I never had any nausea whilst on Clomid, always had sore bb’s right before AF arrived though, and then not when I was PG, GL hope this is your month. How many DPO are you? It may still be too early to test.

Bec, OMG OMG are you serious? Early on I had 2 tests that came back negative in the timeframe then changed to positive after woods, think my urine was too diluted and it was very early on. OMG so excited the next one has come back with 2 lines also, fingers crossed you get to next Tuesday, when would you be due if you do? Try not to stress about DH’s response, my DH said to me the day we found out, well we’ll just wait and see cos it could be wrong you know. Your right though he is just trying to spare your feelings I’m sure.

Clamagee, totally know what you mean about getting addicted to this site, it’s so nice to have ppl experiencing the same things you are and to know that you are not alone. Sorry to hear AF (sort of) arrived, has it properly come now? Fingers crossed for no holiday for you, IYKWIM

Welcome Saffy, this is a wonderful site I only hope that your stay is short. Not sure about changing your Clomid days, you are right plenty of ppl take it earlier than others but not sure of the reasons. I think it’s just a Dr’s preference so can’t see it doing any harm, maybe just try it for a month anyway. I found that something new was always helpful to keep me going.

AFM: all going well, today is the first day I have only thrown up once, nice for a change. Having our first scan next Friday, nothing else to report though.

Hope you are all well and coping with the rollercoaster. Very anxiously awaiting lots of BFP’s. Good luck to all, chat soon.

Sorry Linda, the abreviations can be quite confussing at first. I was asking how many "Days Past Ovulation" you are? Fingers crossed AF does not show!

    Hi Keli

All is going ok here today. Not as scarey as I thought it would be. It helps that I'm not "friendly" with the other staff members here. So I didn't need to explain myself.

    No news from Tammara yet?

How are you with M/S? Hope it's not too bad for you. Good luck for your scan Friday.

    Hi Porsche,

Glad to hear it is not going too bad, yes I often wonder what would be better, people knowing or people not knowing. You are so brave. How's your body recovering?

Nope, still no news from Tammara, I'm hoping that's a good sign.

Honestly I really can't complain about the ms, it is my reminder that this is all real, it's really not too bad anyway, it's quite frequent but goes again quite quickly. Thanks, will let you know how we go next week.

Take care of yourself, chat soon!

It ok i started my period today the 19 of april.I just have to call the nurse and tell her when i started my period so they can make me a calendar of when to start my clomid pills and when to start the ovulation kit.Which is day 10 the doctor wanted me to start testing. He up the dose to 100 mg this month.im kind of nervous ,taking the chance of having twins. The higher the dose.I start taking the clomid this wed which will be my 3rd day in my cycle till day 7 of my cycle . crossing my fingers again it works this month.I wasent sure if it was true to have intercourse every other day after you get a + on the ovulation kit.My doctor said to have intercourse the day after i get a postive the next day. Has anyones doctor told them that,or should we have intercourse the day i get the postive on the ovulation? it just frustrating when you have been trying so long to convice and it feel like the medicine not working.Maybe with a stronge dose i might get lucky this month. thank you all of you for being so supportive.

Clamgee- I love scotland, actually concieved one of my pregnancies there, have a lot of good memories from my travels...sorry you feel you miss out, we get to wake up and read your emails though! Don't feel bad about a tinge of jealousy- I get a roaring tidal wave of jealousy/bitterness/envy/hatred whenever anyone I know gets pregnant (exceptions for a few loved girlfriends, some of who had a hard journey too) I even cried when I heard Danni Minogue was pregnant! Its wrong, but I have resigned myself to feeling like this until I get my BFP. Then you get the guilts for being such a terrible person, I have taked it over with my counsellor, because I felt so bad about it. You sound like a lovely , kind person so don't be so hard on yourself, I heard someone say on another thread the situation we are in is whats terrible, not us. Sorry AF arrived, you count day1 as the first day of red blood, don't know if that helps xx

Linda-you can have intercourse any day from getting a positive result, you are most likely to ovulate (and concieve) in the 24-36 hours after the +, I always try to do it every day when I get a + OPK but every second day would be ok. Go for it! Good luck x

I'm still waiting for AF, still spotting, so with my body, I woke up at midnight last night just after I'd fallen asleep and cried for an hour thinking about everything, I even accidently woke DH up now he is stressed about me crying all the time, I don't want him to be burdened with my moods, poor guy. Oh well, I will feel better when AF arrives and I can start my clomid again, am thinking of throwing in the towel soon and starting IVF, will talk it over with DH this week, i think its inevitable.
