My situation is a little different but I am in the same boat with wondering when to give up ttc. I have fertility issues and have had multiple m/c's. I have not reached the point where I have accepted my family the way it is and constantly hope for 1 more child to add to the family but I do feel the time is coming where I will be forced to accept it and look for peace in the hand I have been dealt.

Hi Mildez. I'm sorry to hear about your fertility issues. I know how you feel, not that it helps. XX

I don't think I could go again, I have my perfect baby after years of hell ttc. I so know what you mean about wasting years on it. The thought of doing IVF again makes me want to be sick! I think my age has something to do with it though.

I don't know the answer for you, maybe you could commit to one cycle of IVF. Despite my previous statement, IVF isn't that much worse than anything else and I actually found it better than ttc blindly, because at least you feel like there is a chance and that someone is helping you. I had unexplained infertility too, it's a tough one. There's a roller coaster with any form of ttc, IVF is just a more expensive roller coaster.

Anyway good luck and I hope you get a natural miracle,

IVF - When Is Enough, Enough?

Unexplained fertility must be incredibly frustrating. There is a private vent discussion group for LTTTC ers, which you can join to discuss things if you prefer.
Constant TTC, is emotionally and financially very draining and it can sometimes feel all consuming. I think everyone reaches the end of their road at very different stages.

    Hi there,

I am new to this page but I can totally relate to your post.

The thought of going through it again is so frustrating but giving up and realising that this it is even worse for me right now.
